La Divina Commedia è una rappresentazione infinita di storie e di personaggi che Dante, in quanto agens ed auctor, mette in scena:

la vittima di un femminicidio Pia de' Tolomei ("Deh, quando tu sarai tornato al mondo, e riposato de la lunga via", seguitò 'l terzo spirito al secondo, "Ricorditi di me, che son la Pia; Siena mi fé, disfecemi Maremma: salsi colui che 'nnanellata pria disposando m'avea con la sua gemma");

l'incontro nel Purgatorio con Forese Donati con cui Dante si scambiò una celebre Tenzone e, nel Paradiso, con la sorella Piccarda che venne fatta uscire con la forza dalla vita monastica. I Donati, a capo dei Guelfi Neri, inviarono Dante, appartenente ai Guelfi Bianchi, in esilio;

la figura cavalleresca del figlio di Federico II, Manfredi ("biondo era e bello e di gentil aspetto");

l'amico Casella ("Ohi ombre vane, fuor che ne l’aspetto! Tre volte dietro a lei le mani avvinsi, e tante mi tornai con esse al petto");

Virgilio (" tempo de li dei falsi e bugiardi”, “Tu se’ lo mio maestro e ‘l mio autore, tu se’ solo colui da cu’ io tolsi lo bello stilo che m’ha fatto onore");

Caronte ("Non isperate mai veder lo cielo", "vuolsi così colà dove si puote ciò che si vuole, e più non dimandare");

la figlia di Guido da Polenta (signore di Ravenna), Francesca, e il fratello del suo sposo Gianciotto Malatesta Paolo ("la bocca mi basciò tutto tremante. Galeotto fu ‘l libro e chi lo scrisse: quel giorno più non vi leggemmo avante");

l’illustre ghibellino Farinata degli Uberti;

Ulisse, il cui canto è richiamato nel lager da Primo Levi (“l’ardore ch’i’ ebbi a divenir del mondo esperto, e de li vizi umani e del valore; ma misi me per l’alto mare aperto…Considerate la vostra semenza: fatti non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza";

Geri del Bello, ucciso dalla famiglia Sacchetti, non vendicato dalla famiglia di Dante a cui apparteneva;

il Conte Ugolino (“poscia, più che il dolor, poté il digiuno");

Celestino V (“colui / che fece per viltade il gran rifiuto”);

il crociato è trisavolo Cacciaguida che predice a Dante l’esilio (“Tu proverai sì come sa di sale lo pane altrui, e come è duro calle lo scendere e ‘l salir per l’altrui scale”) e critica la corruzione della Firenze del ‘300 (“le genti nove e i subiti guadagni”) come sintomo del declino dell’ordine della società medievale;

San Bernardo di Chiaravalle che accompagna Dante nell’ultimo canto del Paradiso invocando la Madonna (“«Vergine Madre, figlia del tuo figlio, umile e alta più che creatura, termine fisso d’etterno consiglio, tu se’ colei che l’umana natura nobilitasti sì, che ’l suo fattore non disdegnò di farsi sua fattura);

Cangrande della Scala, Signore di Verona ove è sepolto in una delle arche gotiche, a cui è dedicata la cantica del Paradiso;

ed ovviamente Beatrice per cui Dante è “amico mio, e non de la ventura”.

Visper

Just small basic info about Visper. If anyone curious :D

Visper was born into a prosperous family, where he was gifted with a different name. Not the name by which he is known now. For the first 6 years of his life everything was wonderful – he got attention and care from parents; spent evenings with his family, having fun and playing games and doing everything else that is inherent in a friendly, loving home. But Visper lost all this with the death of his parents at the hands of a cyberpsychopath, who went on a killing spree on that ill-fated day. Visper couldn’t accept the news. Unconsciously, a memory arose - the day before he had just seen a funny cartoon, in it the death of the heroes was staged, and they later appeared for an unexpected plot twist. The child's brain, still feeble and shocked by the news, decided that, perhaps for some unknown mysterious reason, his parents were also forced to hide, pretending to be dead...or maybe they were kidnapped..? There was no logic in his fantasies at that time, but what could a child do. He began to passionately believe in his fantastic theory. Since Visper did not have any other relatives or close family friends who could take the child under his wing, he was sent to an orphanage, and lived in it for 3.5 years. All the money that his parents had time to save - disappeared, due to "bureaucratic mistake".  

All this time, he cherished the hope that perhaps somewhere there his parents were still alive and he must find them ... and save them. He escaped from the orphanage, and for a while searched for evidence of his theory. No one been looking for him. He hung around the police station for so long that the officers began to recognize him. He desperately looked for information, but soon resigned himself and admitted that the fantastic theory was just a child's obsessive fantasy, a protective mechanism of the child's mind, which had nothing to do with reality.

At the age of 12, he joined a gang that accepted him as their own (so it seemed to him). His still small body could squeeze in lots of places without noise and get to what was needed. There, his face acquired the form that can be observed for many years after. They said: “Overcome the pain and it will disappear. This is your strength.”, while making another cut. Each new line on the skin dulled his feeling of pain - it didn’t disappear, but he got used to it. At some point, he thought that he had found a family that would always have his back covered, that he won’t be alone in this world anymore. Unfortunately, reality again did not align with what he imagined - after a few years the gang tried to get rid of him, so as not to share the jackpot with an extra mouth. After all, he was always "a stranger, useful for the time being." He managed, not without murders, to come to an agreement with his former comrades, and left the gang forever. For several years after that, he temporarily joined different gangs, but never again allowed himself to lose his vigilance.

Over the years of street activity, he developed shooting skills with preference in revolvers and sniper rifles and became proficient in hand-to-hand combat. He began attending rock concerts - mainly those where they performed covers of classics like the Samurai, whose work he loved since he escaped from the orphanage. Later he became interested in more melodic rock performed by Kerry Eurodyne. He continued to take odd jobs from his acquaintances, when he was noticed by a corpo, which assessed his abilities and potential. Eventually, Visper got into the corporation itself, first as a freelancer, and later as a full-fledged employee, solving all sorts of problems. His new place of employment, surprisingly, needed everything that he learned on the streets of Night City. But on behalf of his superiors, he sometimes had to act as a sort of "fixer", looking for executors or partners among other mercs, if the work involved tasks that were not included in his spectrum of possibilities. His new habitat partly influenced his tastes - he realized that he liked the way he looked in expensive suits, liked the taste of old whiskey and the smell of cigars (...). He liked soft bed linen and the possibility to sleep with almost any Joytoy. He decided not to get rid of the scars. Let them be a reminder, he thought. They were great for intimidation, and some people like to run their hands over them after sex. “Soothing,” said someone whose name Visper could no longer remember. They did not disturb him, so he let them stay.  

Despite his new life, which he could not have imagined when he lived on the streets of Night City, he did not become less vigilant. Although he liked this life, he saw himself in a completely different place, to which he had not yet come, but felt that he was close to it.
