There's an evil madrigal au I hate because they just...abuse Mirabel and than act like everything is fine for the public except Bruno.

A swap could be Them acting evil to the citizens and those who hurt Mirabel without Mirabel bring aware at all. Like with Antonio only now it's everyone.

Add it a protective of Mirabel Alma and we have a nice recipe for an AU. Almost an Addams family au

No, because I hate those aus as well 😭 why tf would they abuse her and act like its cool, like no, abusive people are manipulative and self centered.

But yeah, them protecting Mirabel? Yuh 💅💅

As long as the townsfolk leave her alone and treat her like a human being, consequences won't be fish out. On the other hand, if they find Mirabel crying un her room, someones bout to be 6 feet deep.

Sure, Mirabel can stand up for herself and all that, but should a family member be near by if a negative situation between Mirabel and a villager is going on? That villager the next day will completely avoid the girl. Not that she cares.

The family basically adores Mirabel, more than in canon. They fret over her constantly, but she finds it in endearing. The treat her like family and everything, always complimenting her work. Basically, they're like saints in her eyes. She knows that they only want the best for her; whenever a villager is bad mouthing her family, she actively stands up and defends them.

Mirabel herself is a bit on the strange side, but its too be expected. She isn't sheltered or anything, she still loves going around and playing with kids, or singing with the band, sewing with the seamstress group etc etc.; but often times shes a little off putting.

The town knows that if you end up on the bad side of Mirabel, you end up on the even worse side of the Madrigals. It started with Alma, after her ceremony, she called a meeting and was like,

"Protect Mirabel at all cost, no matter what it takes."

And everybody was down with it. Bruno even decides to stay and is usually nearby, if he isn't back at Casita. Antonio naturally followed and basically acts as her bodyguard; people brush Antonio off, knowing that if they target Mirabel, Antonio won't be able to stand up for her, because he's a kid. But he's also a snitch. Him and Dolores are constantly relaying information, good and bad.

Currently torn between Bruno being upset and disturbed to learn that his nephews and nieces grew up thinking of him as some sort of monster, and the idea that Bruno— who is only slightly taller than his fifteen year old niece, jumps at loud noises and jokes that his real gift is "acting"— actually finds it fucking hilarious that Camilo has apparently been going around all this time telling people that he is seven feet tall and feasts on other people's screams.
