i’m not saying that azi wasn’t absolutely in love with crowley in s1 but i will say in s2 he is so much more bold… the amount of times he’s checking crowley out and getting himself flustered, or getting that little smug look on his face like you know the one the “this boy is mine” face, like, sir- okay-
donna saying she doesn’t deserve to be at the restaurant and see this precious thing that her kids have created because she hurts everything she touches
vs
carmy in the lock in telling himself he doesn’t deserve to provide/experience joy and amusement because he’s a psycho
and then — richie offhandedly tells carmy that he’s just like donna, and deep down, even on the surface — it’s a little true

It’s “realizing that Will’s struggle in S2 with being infected with a virus that spreads and will kill him quickly (but doctors don’t care) is a metaphor for how gay men were treated during the aids crisis” hours
—right alongside Mike (who comes from a family with a Reagan sign in their front yard + a mom who outwardly supported Margret Thatcher), who sat at his now confirmed gay best friend’s side the entire time he was sick and watched as people were willing to let him die because he was viewed as expendable……and now has an ongoing storyline where
1) his relationship with his girlfriend is falling apart because he doesn’t love her romantically
2) he’s staring longingly and pushing toward the freedom his gay best friend embodies for him, and
3) he cannot bring himself to tell anyone around him something because “what if they don’t like it” + dehumanize him for telling the secret truth he cannot bring himself to externalize, despite now knowing something that scares him about about himself:
(Bonus points for the fact that the first time we see Mike push Will and himself toward a girl is after he watches how people were willing to let his gay best friend (and him, by extension) die should they not confirm to expectations)
I absolutely love the “who’s crazier” Hannibal poll in which Will is winning by a landslide. I think Hannibal’s craziness is innate, it’s not just a part of who he is, it is the whole of what he is. And though he can mask it and control its output by killing in extremely careful, intricate, and methodical ways— he can’t repress it. He can’t help himself. Will is crazier because he can help it, he can repress it, and if he had never met Hannibal he probably would have lived out a semi-normal life and never succumbed to his own inner evils. But because Hannibal tripped the sleeper switch in him, and “set his brain on fire”—— he begins his descent, at first unwillingly, then still unwillingly but unflinchingly, with open eyes and clear cognition, and then slowly it BECOMES a choice. He surrenders to it the way you surrender to falling in love and he takes pleasure in it. Hannibal can’t help being crazy, but Will goes straight into the crazy with him, albeit with a little push, by choice. We will never ever ever see another fictional character like Will Graham he is truly one of a kind
If you told me this time last year that in our flag means death season 2 Wee John becomes Izzy Hand’s drag mother I would’ve been like harhar how outlandish how silly harahar. Our flag means death season 2 has exceeded my wildest dreams. S2 episode 6 was when television peaked
One moment for Good Omens Season 2 we don’t talk about enough is that one scene in season 2 ep1 where Aziraphales trying to question Jimbriel and like Az asks him “Well why did you come to me then?” (Not word for word by similar premise- I can hear him saying it THATS how much I think about them) and Jimbriel replies with something along the lines of “You’re one of those people(not really a “person” but close enough lol) who are easy to feel safe around [100% no where near the actual quote but like oversimplification and all + I couldn’t find the original quote + it gets the gist of the point he’s trying to make]” and Aziraphale AZIRAPHALE just knows exactly which buttons to push to break me and he just starts keyboard mashing them all. Aziraphale just makes THAT FACE the “I’m in love but I can’t show it because some part of me knows it can’t happen” face the “He’s my safe place” face and you just know EXACTLY who he’s thinking of. The realization that to him, Crowley means safety in every way shape and form is absolutely devastating to me (don’t ask me why).
I just- just can’t anymore.
Its plastered all over his face.
