Could Kiwi(The Bard) from Wandersong kill MacBeth? They are enby(any/all genders/pronouns) and due to being so insignificant destiny doesn’t care enough to write a future for them they are immune to fate.
Yes, The Bard aka Kiwi from Wandersong could kill Macbeth!
Tumblr media
They are canonically nonbinary with any pronouns, meaning it applies for the Gender Clause (presumably; there is still the possibility that he is comfortable with being referred to with the term 'man' despite her identity as nonbinary, but I wasn't able to find any evidence that this is the case, so we will presume otherwise).
As for whether or not Kiwi counts as a Unique Exception, I wasn't able to find any information about Kiwi's relationship to fate and destiny online anywhere...
...So I bought the game and played through the entire thing in a single day so I could find out what you were talking about. ((Very good game btw, loved it, nearly made me cry, super funny, could do with about a dozen bug fixes though because I almost got softlocked 3/4 of the way through the game because apparently there's a cutscene trigger you can accidentally skip by RP walking resulting in multiple cutscenes attempting to play at once therefore not allowing you to progress. But yeah I still did really enjoy it. I love the gay monster boyfriends with my life))
Within Wandersong, there is a moment where a fortune teller attempts to look into Kiwi's future, and she finds that the universe/the goddess Eya made no plan for what Kiwi would do at all, as they were deemed insignificant to the story of the universe. The fortune teller explains that this is very unusual, as she is always able to divinate something out of any given person, and Kiwi is an anomaly in this regard. The entire plot of the game revolves around the fact that the universe is coming to an end, and Kiwi is attempting to stop it, though is told time and time again that it is impossible; the method to stop the end of the universe has rarely ever been attempted, and when it has, it has always failed. This universe is stated near the end to take place after "an infinity of infinities" of other universes, so managing to stop the universe's end is statistically completely impossible for any living creature to accomplish. Kiwi, however, is able to pull it off.
While one could probably argue that Kiwi being immune to fate and pulling off impossible feats wouldn't be able to counteract Macbeth's prophecy, I'm fully willing to say that it counts, and that Kiwi applies as a Unique Exception. This might be influenced by the fact that this is single-handedly the most research I have done into a character before, but I stand by it: they apply for the Gender Clause and as a Unique Exception.
Thank you very much for your submission!

Will enby Helsknight/trans Tanguish/top surgery scars/stubborn avoidant Welsknight in a gender crisis make it into the main story of RnS? Like, a full acknowledgment of it? Because yes, us on tumblr are aware (and happily bully RnS Wels for it) but I’m curious to how it may be brought up in the main storyline instead of rambles and drabbles. (Don’t get me wrong, those rambles and drabbles are what get me through the day. But my best friend, who isn’t in the MCYT fandom whatsoever, just caught up with RnS and doesn’t use tumblr, and besides spamming her with tumblr posts I wanna know how much I can revel in the glory of the skrunkles with her!)
That is a great question, actually. And the answer is I don't really know.
So this is one of the downsides to writing things chapter by chapter. If I had gone into this going "oh heck yeah they're trans", this would've come up in the plot way sooner. It's nice information 1) for all the trans folks reading and 2) because it has the potential to inform the themes in the narrative. This whole story is about two chief things I think: death [the inevitability of] and identity [what defines you and why]. Why should you care if literally no one else (including the universe) does? That would be so cool to speak about in terms of a trans allegory! Why do you care about gender when it's just one thing in a world of crazy things? Or at the very least, how does it inform your identity? But this is a change I made on a whim suddenly, and I know Exactly Where I Want This Plot To Go, so trans topics and allegories as Plot Points probably won't happen.
On the more technical side of introducing trans characters -- how do you do that without just dropping "oh btw they're trans" in? Like, how do you make it a relevant thing to talk about, that doesn't feel forced or shoehorned in, especially this late in the story? Probably me overthinking, but I read it done wrong so often. It gets tired. And if I ever work on my original stories, there are trans characters in there! If I can figure out how to Do It Well in a fanfic, then I can figure out how to do it in original fiction someday maybe. So I kinda wanna take the introduction seriously? I've actually been thinking about it so much I've thought about rewriting the intro to the next chapter ahaha [it already needs rewritten in general, there's a lot going on, but the intro was going to be Helsknight waking up from something, and he sleeps shirtless, and not addressing top surgery scars then would be kinda silly I think.]
I can say at the very least, Gender Avoidant Wels probably won't factor in the story much. He is a character, but I don't think he'll become Enough of a character to faithfully address something like a trans self discovery arc. At best his issues with gender might be mentioned in passing.
Sorry! I know you probably want a better answer! My answer is basically: I don't know I'm still working on it. I want it to be there, but the capacity it's there is undecided.
That being said, I've been sitting on this glorious ask since the shenanigans started and the temptation to just Do That grows every time I read it:

Have I ever mentioned that I'm genderfluid??
Well. Genderfaun, technically. No fem-aligned genders ever, but my gender fluctuates between male, non-binary and agender.
Anyways. I woke up today and the dysphoria was different. Like, my small hands aren't bothering me and my height isn't bothering me. Less things are triggering the dysphoria today. It took a minute, but then it clicked. "Ohh shit, I'm having an enby day again."
It fr fucks with my brain because I'm fully a man almost all the time. But every couple months I'll wake up and suddenly for a few days in a row I'm like "ah, my gender did a thing again" and it's just. Weird.
(My pronouns are currently xe/they/he in order of preference btw, I don't know why but that just seems to be how it is today.)

ik there's the contentious topic about categorizing things as bl and making the distinction between bl and queer media, and i do think there have been valid points in the discourse about how bl is changing and its going through a sort of r/evolution now that bl is getting pretty big (and i'm talking exclusively about asian bl here btw, so in this context it would be the globalization of asian bls). but i also think that it's important to not disregard history and bl's roots.
bl was created by women for women in the 1970s in japan. although from a feminist perspective, bl challenges gender and sexual norms, bring capitalism into the equation, and we're getting the fetishization of gay relationships for (predominantly) straight female consumption.
idt it's a "right or wrong" situation. i believe two truths can exist: bl is a capitalist venture that oftentimes perpetuates harmful stereotypes, but bl can also be liberation for a lot of people. especially asian bl—as a bisexual woc, seeing nonwhite queer media is so so important to me. and i am not asian, but i know it's especially been revolutionary for my fellow queer asian brothers, sisters, & enby siblings.
i read somewhere that the directors instructed juntaek to not watch (korean) bl when studying for his role in the eighth sense. i found this reeeeally interesting, since i've also seen people mention that the eighth sense is not a bl, but queer media. i also think it's important to point out that one of the directors/writers is a white european man, and i'm pretty sure he was the one who told juntaek to watch things like skam or call me by your name instead of kbls—i haven't seen skam but cmbyn is white queer cinema (also problematic, but i digress). in the past, there was also that british bl heartstopper (sorry besties i still haven't seen it i probably should), in which the author expressed that they did not want to label it as bl, but there was backlash as, at least the show, clearly drew inspiration from asian bl.
as a historically asian genre, how does this distinction (bl vs. queer) perpetuate the western hegemony of queer thought? usually when people make this distinction, i don't think they take into account that race plays as much as a part as queerness (intersectionality is so important). but on the other hand, i also understand that bl has clear tropes and narrative structures that make it a bl. we wouldn't call moonlight a bl, or the handmaiden a gl. but also, films are a different medium with less restrictions (if you've seen a korean film vs. a kdrama, you get me lol).
i definitely don't have an answer or anything. the eighth sense is filmed through such a queer lens and it touches on the nuances of the queer experiences in a way i haven't really seen in bl, but i still i find myself wary of proclaiming that it's not bl, ja feel? is the eighth sense (along with bls such as bad buddy, old fashion cupcake, to my star, etc.) a marker of the r/evolution of bl? i guess i just wanted to open up the conversation to hear people's thoughts, especially from my fellow queer pocs.
at the end of the day we're all here to be entertained, but i'm glad to see discourse and think it's fruitful in the long process of decolonizing our mindsets.

and ANOTHER THING.
I have yet to find a single GOOD VR size fetish pov video that doesn't have some sort of "you like that little man?" or some equivallent-
GAH. JUST. I GET IT. REALLY, I DO. THERES A MUCH LARGER MALE AUDIENCE INTERESTED IN THIS SORT OF STUFF BUT GOD, PLEASE, CAN YOU MAKE ONE GOOD VR VIDEO FOR THE GIRLIES
This is the same as my ASMR problem, the same as my issue with size porn in general- I don't mean to be whiny, but it genuinelly upsets me so much!! GAH. JUST. SUAHHAHADH
Oh, and don't even TRY searching up lesbian size stuff- thats even MORE gendered! all of those are just two girls playing with one tiny man, and they take EXTRA time to focus on the fact that the tiny is MALE ad a BOY and a MAN and a PERVERT and like. OKAY??? WE NEED GIRL PERVERT REPRESENTATION TOO??? IR ENBY?? JUST. GAHHH.
All of it is so male-orientated its just. Its almost a little bit depressing, and it doesn't exactly feel good hearing all that as a trans woman. Just. If you find anything good, let me know- I'm tired and spent a while looking for VR stuff before I got fed up -w-
MAKE MORE SIZE PORN FOR THE GIRLS. THANK YOU.
(sorry for ranting btw just. a bit annoying...)

Im going to be completely frank with you all... and admit that I read these options and wasn't sure how to take this chart,,, so uh. Under the cut is Another Version. I'd apologize but I've given you the option to keep scrolling ¯\_(・・)_/¯
(If you notice characters missing on Kim's side, I probably figured she doesn't know who they are lol)
Tumblr media
For the record,,, if they *wanted* me to pull their hair-- *is shot several times before I can continue*
Uhh Matthew is here because I have been converted fully on he/him or enby lesbian Matthew I think. He lives in my brain rent free now, very gender. I'd pull his hair but also I think he mostly just deserves to have it played with nicely.
And Scott's here because 1) I enjoy trans Scott, 2) Kim Pine Brain Rot possibly, 3) idk he's like,, the exception. God damnit, I've fallen for the inexplicable Scott Pilgrim Effect. What the fuck--
I did think about doing this chart like everyone was actually applicable to my tastes, but even if they were I think the ones I didn't put up would have to fall on the caress side bc I just don't feel that way abt them lol.
Again, not to say that's the case for the gals over on that side,,, I just think I would want to be gentle w them shxkdjsdhbd with the exception for Lynette who probably deserves to have her hair pulled, but again I fear she would Hurt Me,,, but maybe in a fun way,,,
Anyway No One Look At Me....
(,, also,,, Ramona is so far over bc I think she would enjoy it,, otherwise she'd be closer to Kim in that section. Same thing w Roxie)
If anyone actually looks at this version, I'm not opposed to doing a version like this for Kim btw! Just ask for it so I feel like I'm not just Dropping This and scurrying away
#sp comic#meme#kim pine#id tag more people but i Do Not Have The Strength....#also i like Living and I think the idea of more people seeing the suggestively taken one makes me want to Die a little#(not to say you cant reblog this or whatever im just being dramatic shdjejsdhdhgdd I am generally a fairly Reserved person)#for the kim chart- i based my other scott placement on the interaction theyve had here! i think if they interacted for real or more often +#+ he'd end up definitively in the Pull Roughly suggestion with most people#ooc#he maybe if i finish edits for everyone i could try this w the au stuff. kit's thoughts might be different here...#hey*#also let me know if i forgot anyone??? i thought abt including the robots but. no hair. and gideon the cat has Fur so. on technicality-#but like barring parents and peter i think i got most people#i guess if lainey was here she'd go somewhere in the middle or right? w/out knowing what she'd be like#FUCK I DIDNT MEAN TO POST THIS. I MEAN IT'S HERE NOW SO IM NOT REMOVING IT BUT I AM S C R E A M I N G I WASNT READY#ah i forgot crash and the boys actually. thats why i wasnt supposed to post this yet#uhhhh Pull Roughly for like all of them. except trasha. trasha gets head pats and a juice box#except for on Kim's chart. on Kim's chart she's in the pull roughly section I can't lie to myself. she hates that kid 😭 also on that note +#+ knives should probably be in the middle section. like she wants to pull it for her having copped her style and being stupid abt scott.#but I didn't put her there bc I feel like even if she wants to she wouldn't ya know? knives is a Precious Angel after all

Note
Btw I've been wondering, when do you use sabakos and when do you use sabaki? I'm not particularly knowledgable on Greek declension.
Grammarwise, σαβακός is the masculine nominative singular form, which is what's used for the headword in the dictionary. I picked it for my url partially because it was available, and partially because, given the meaning (rotten, feeble, effeminate) it seemed like the masculine form was needed to accurately describe me, given the implication of the word. If I had to give the closest possible literal single-word translation, it would probably be "moldered" which matches the archaic tone of the word as well as the connection to dried out, crumbling. But "rotten" or "smashed" are close as well.
As far as my online name, I use Sabaki (rhymes with bee), which is pretty close to the feminine nominative singular σᾰβᾰκή as it would have been pronounced in more colloquial speech in the Hellenistic or early Roman period. I picked that because I didn't like the sound of "-κός" for my own name (too masculine) and the neutral "-κόν" implies the wrong sort of gender-neutral in English in my view, similar to how "waitron" sounds like a robot not an enby waitstaff person. I don't really consider myself a woman, but I also don't like following rules so I'm fine with a girl name.
The word sabakos itself is a particularly rare word from pre-Greek, the only places it's attested, apparently, are two mentions in Hippocrates' On the Sacred Disease, an entry in a dictionary by Hesychius specifically on rare and obscure words, and a poem (7.222) in the Greek anthology by Philodemus the Epicurean, from the 1st century BCE.
I actually translated the poem itself a while back. It seemed appropriate to do if I was going to have this word as my url since it's really the only tangible use of the word. So I'm going to infodump a bit about it.
The poem is a funeral epitaph, meant to be inscribed on a gravestone, although they were often written more as an artistic exercise, as if they were intended to be inscribed. But you should picture this as if it was written on a literal gravestone. This epitaph is dedicated to a Gallus, a eunuch priestess of the goddess Cybele, who ritually castrated themselves as part of the mourning of Attis, similar to the Greek myth of Aphrodite and Adonis.
Here lies her delicate fragile body, here lies buried Turtle-dove, brittle blossom emasculate she that stood out in crowd and clamor, she who attracted chattering, she the goddess mother's beloved she above all adored Aphrodisiac, she that feminized mystery, love-potion strapped to her sundress
Bloom, stone, from this sacred dust, from this mad priestess grow not thorns, but petals, of white violets
The phrase where σαβακός appears is in the second line, "brittle blossom emasculate" is "σαβακῶν ἄνθεμα Σαλμακίδων" where ἄνθεμα is a floral ornament (blossom) and Σαλμακίδων refers to Salmacis, the same root as Salmacian, a fountain in modern day Turkey that was said to make all men who drank from it effeminate (emasculate).
I'm... actually kinda surprised this poem isn't more well known? I couldn't find any translations of it that weren't either non-poetic scholarly ones or heavily bowdlerized. But it's fairly unambiguously about someone we would consider "transfem" and it's from the 1st century BCE!
In case there was any doubt about the gender identity of the subject of the poem, other than the feminine pronouns, the last line I think really sells it, the poem is full of other references to flowers (Turtle-dove, blossom, etc.) which carry a feminine connotation, but thorns ("βάτον") or brambles were often specifically associated with young men. This very last part is totally my own interpretation here, but I think it's fairly clear that the intended takeaway here is that this is how the Gallus should be remembered, that the ritual and the dress and all were not an act, but a representation of who she really was.

fun fact most, if not all of my ocs are queer as fuck.
olivia is aromantic and has been an ally for years before she realized it! she's also pretty gnc and likes to toy with her gender expressions while staying a cis girl
umaru is a trans man (manfred barred him from transition for years but he speedran all phases of it while studying in europe to be a prosecutor), also he's very much bisexual, see his painful crush on mvk that died in silence and his love for lana skye
hanma is bisexual and is so so so femme that despite her being a cis woman it circles back to being queer as fuck
sean is literally a nonbinary butch lesbian who lived the better half of their life as a trans man idk what else do I need to say here
basil never thought about it and he can be kind of queerphobic because he's not educated about the community but he's basically enemy-sexual (probably pan)
i have a side character I used in two cases called redhead, that's not his actual legal name, but she doesn't reveal her "real" name and introduces himself as just redhead, he's a he/she bigender and I don't even know or establish what her agab is because fuck that
if I start going through my aa ocs we'll be here all day so why don't we talk about my completely original characters
in project David like 3/4 out of the main 4 are genderqueer, Glenda is nonbinary and uses they/them (while being nearly fifty years old btw), Louis is a transmasc bigender who uses he/she and visibly appears as a man, not disclosing her "female" side to most people in fear of being seen only as a woman again, and Elis is a trans woman, well, not Exactly a woman but woman is the closest, a nonbinary transfem that uses she/her. and Dan is a bi cis dude (that can change though. my transfem friend sees Dan as an egg)
my collegeverse ocs literally consist of sapphics and an enby god, Loren, a pronoun fluid genderfluid who mostly uses she her and is butch in a fixing cars way, Mag, a lesbian that's been repressed for many many years and finally allows herself to change and let herself be who she is, gaining weight, getting with a girl and changing her gender expression, butch in a suit and tie way; Eve, a pan trans girl and Megumi, her bi girl best friend; and also Arc, an agender person (or is it a person) who uses it/its and may or may not be a deity
god I love queerness.
and yeah over the course of this post I only ever mentioned the queer identities of the characters but some of those characters are marginalized in other ways and that very much intersects, for example Elis is a black trans woman. I'm not adding it on to flaunt how progressive I am for having diverse characters, I'm simply like, aiming to acknowledge that white thin able-bodied queerness isn't the standard and people experience queerness differently based on that

do you have any enby mike wheeler headcanons? asking for a friend
your friend is very nice! please tell him he's one of my favorite mutuals if you see him! <3
and i have SO MANY enby mike headcanons omg- btw they're still in the 80s here.
obviously the first one is that he HATES the name "michael". he hates hearing it and writing it and always asks for people to call him just mike. he doesn't have any issues with the party, but it's hard being at home because karen always uses his deadname.
he comes out to, surprisingly, max first. because she's also enby (she isn't actually like openly enby, she just is) and won't stop complaining about her name and clothes and the way she hates people seeing her as a girl. mike would probably hear that and say "but you... are a girl..." and then max would respond with "i can be whatever the fuck i want. no one should tell us how to feel about ourselves". and there's a long, long silence until mike says "i think i'm not a boy, either". and max understands.
he borrows clothes from nancy. not too feminine stuff yet, because he doesn't want to stand out much, but he likes stuff like her shirts and pants and coats. she doesn't find out until one day where she catches him trying on one of her dresses. and mike is scared and tries to lie about it, but ends up confessing that he doesn't know who he truly is. nancy helps him with his makeover and supports him <3
mike actually ends up not liking too much feminine stuff. it makes him feel like a girl, and he isn't a girl. but he also doesn't want people to think he's a boy, because he isn't one either. so he mixes shirts and clothes to be more androgynous. but none of that helps because, what he truly wants is for people to see him as just... mike. and not a boy.
he doesn't care about clothes much, but having long hair helps him. he doesn't look like a girl but he doesn't look like a boy either. it's perfect.
he ends up coming out one day to the party in one of their sleepovers. they are playing dnd (max and el included) and he, besides being the dm, is also playing as the paladin (which is truly hard bc he's doing two things at once and dms don't really do that but idk make it a npc or something it's just a hc). and he tells the party that mike the paladin is, indeed, not a boy. or a girl. and he looks at his friends, begging for them to understand what he means. they're all in silence at first, but then dustin keeps playing as if nothing happened and the others follow. will smiles at him from the other side of the table.
when he starts dating will, mike is scared of will leaving him for being like this. which is a dumb thought, and he knows that. but he can't help but to stop wearing nancy's stuff or talking about his struggles because he just... wants to ignore it in case will won't like him anymore. when will asks, mike tells him the truth and will comforts him and tells him that, no matter what, he will always love him. he's his partner, and will loves that about him.
on dysphoric days he pretends to be sick to not go to school, and always calls will because he doesn't want him to worry. will always goes to his house after class to spend time with him and tries to distract him.
dustin always corrects everyone (even parents) who refers to the party as "guys" with "party". he says it's because he wants to include both max and el, but mike knows he does that for him.
when they play videogames and lucas is the one choosing, he always chooses a game that doesn't make you choose gendered characters. he knows mike has a hard time with that.
will holds his hand in class without other people noticing (i still can't get over the fact that they seat next to each other- robin move on it's been years since s2-) every time mr.clarke says his name.
max and him bond over that! they start hanging out to complain about their struggles being enby and they end up actually not hating each other! they enjoy their time together, tbh. and mike always says "max" is way cooler than "maxine".
dustin comes up with the idea of using they/them for max and mike, and they love it! mike ends up using all pronouns (mostly they/them, tho) and max asks for the party to use he/they!
i love the idea of karen actually noticing mike hates being called michael, so she starts calling him just mike. she also notices the way he now dresses (he only gets to do it at home or hanging out with the party- although it isn't very feminine either but- y'know- he doesn't want to get bullied in school) and says nothing about it. she just smiles, and mike feels so so loved.
will always avoids gendered pet-names and names for mike!
i could keep going but this is long enough i think!!! thanks for the ask <3 yours are always the best ones!

i'm glad you brought up the issue with gender selectable ros. i know authors do it with the intention of being more inclusive, but it really doesn't do anything for diversity and representation. a lot of the times, these characters end up being one-dimensional because it's hard to develop a character when so much about them have to be left blank. other times, they come across as having been written with a male character in mind. and this has to do with the fact that they tend to be masculine. and while women and enbies can be masculine, almost none of these characters are feminine, even though men and enbies can be feminine too. so it's easy to think that they have stereotypically male traits because they were written to be male. it doesn't help when authors slip and use he/him pronouns when coding them in.
authors also don't take into account that male characters are almost always prioritized over female ones. look at the tags for any if, and it'll likely be dominated by the male characters. if the choice is there, a lot of people will choose to have a predominantly (if not completely) male cast because these people tolerate female characters at best, and if there's a choice not to have them in the story at all, they're going to choose not to have them. and this gives way to even less diversity.
i don't think there's any benefit to having gender selectable ros. authors are better off writing fleshed out characters. and authors would do well to reflect on their attitude towards female characters. i understand that they don't bring in the same engagement their male counterparts do, but i would hope that most authors write because they have a story to tell. and if that's true, a lot of them need to start reflecting on why women have such little presence in their stories. is it because there's no room for them in the story you're trying to tell (which can be true) or is it because you don't care enough to write about them? and that might seem harsh, but i think we're at a point where these questions need to be asked.
I don’t even particularly blame authors btw. It’s just a vicious circle.
Audience have a responsibility in this. They just ask questions or seem interested in white boy#1…. There is never people interested in the female li.
So here comes the circle.
People ask more content about white boy, and they send ask after ask of just about them. Author obvs just respond to the questions they get, which gives even more content for white boy, which again causes more people to be interested in white boy, and so on.
Authors are just in hard place, I don’t think they have a favorite character, I mean they created all of them. They probably wish all their characters would be loved the same.
And tbh. I don’t know which one is more work…. To make a character gender selectable. Or just have a full fleshed on character with a set gender. I would have to ask for authors opinions on that.
It’s a really hard topic. Cause at the end of the day most authors do what they can to make everyone happy and this is just a hobbie. And I appreciate them very much so it’s hard for me to be too critical about it
I mean…. If I had their talent I would go around straightbaiting everyone but that’s just me lmao

The situation with Uraume's vessel name proved me, once again, that a lot of people can't process the fact that maybe, just maybe, a character can be enby.
No, Uraume's vessel being a girl doesn't prove that they're a girl too. People who are nonbinary in real life don't fit the definition of what cishet people see as nonbinary. And they don't need to.
No, Hakari referring them with she/her pronouns in a dialogue doesn't prove that they're a girl. For what I have understood, it was a mistranslation made by Viz, and Gege uses gender neutral pronouns in the japanese version of the manga (also, he hasn't ever confirmed at all their gender!).
And no, I'm not mad at people referring them with she/her pronouns; what makes me feel icky is people will prefer to throw the worst arguments I've ever seen in my life trying to prove that Uraume is a girl, rather than just accepting they're most likely to be enby (which is something that has been pointed out since their first cameo in the story, btw).
Sorry that manga isn't your cishet-only fantasy world you've dreamed about, I guess.

Ranking Each Sims 4 Trait On How Psycho The Sim Would Be If They Had That Trait
now girlies (gender neutral) this is going to be a VERY long post so I'm going to put all the deets below a read more line (not anymore because I want everyone to see this) but the traits I'll be going over is the personality traits. Not the traits your sim got from completing an aspiration or those traits from the rewards store or any other traits. no no no this is ONLY personality traits. if you're ready just press the read more and buckle up. Btw this is based of my opinion and if you headcanon traits differently that's fine but that's how I think about them
also i'm using the word "psycho" very loosely so just keep that in mind
Emotional Traits
Tumblr media
Ambitious - 5/10
You can argue that having ambitions makes you a psycho if your ambitions make you delusional, but sometimes they aren't delusional and very much grounded in reality. It really depends on how you look at this sim
Tumblr media
Cheerful - 8/10
Girl, how are you happy while you're about to be homeless? When your life is in shambles? When you are about to DIE from embarrassment??? Being optimistic is one thing but I feel like cheerful sims are so optimistic that is getting to the point they're delusional
Tumblr media
Childish - 3/10
I'm only giving a little bit for childish because there's a slight chance the sim is childish because of trauma and/or age regression but most of the time the sim is normal
Tumblr media
Clumsy - 0/10
There's no way in hell a clumsy sim is a psycho unless they have the other traits that I rate highly in the psycho scale by using their clumsiness as a manipulation tactic but by itself? Nah
Tumblr media
Creative - 0/10
Same thing with clumsy: by itself isn't a problem but dangerous if the sim has other psycho traits and ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS because they would get inspired for no reason thinking about an elaborate way to torture you
Tumblr media
Erratic - 2/10
Now, you may be wondering, "Alan! Why did you put erratic on such a low scale? Isn't that trait THE psycho trait?" And I say yes and no. Yes because that is what someone who doesn't know shit about mental illness would say but mainly no because that's more like having a mood disorder which is, for the most part, is actually harmless. Not to mention, alot of people, including myself, use this trait as a indicator of neurodivergence even though it is a very bad trait to represent it. The main issue in general with this trait I have is that sims with this trait will be mean to people for no reason and its not as fun as how the insane trait works in sims 3 where your sim will fish in a swimming pool as an example. Also, talking to yourself doesn't mean you're insane. It's just a bad trait tbh
Tumblr media
Genius - 0/10
Same with creative and clumsy. Harmless unless there's other psycho traits in there
Tumblr media
Gloomy - 3/10
Now these sims might THINK that they're psychos but they aren't. They're just sad boys and sad girls and sad enbies. Now, if they don't think they're psychos and use their sadness as an excuse to manipulate people then yes, they are psychos. Most of the time these sims aren't psychos however so that's why I rank them lowly on the psycho scale
Tumblr media
Playful - ?/10
I give these sims a question mark because I just don't know about these sims. They're always in the verge of dying by laughing themselves to death so they're more of a ticking time bomb than them being psycho. You can decide however you think these sims should be in the psycho scale
Tumblr media
High Maintenance - 10/10
OMG THESE SIMS ARE THE CRAZY ONES! they will just wake up in a bad mood. they'll complain over a hang nail. if the toilet water gets on them, they'll complain over that. The sun? The enemy. These sims need THERAPY and I'm pretty sure they will be the kind of sims to gaslight people too
Tumblr media
Hot Headed - 9/10
Omg these sims need therapy too but for a different reason. Why is everything pisses you off?? are you raw sodium? Because it seems you explode just because the humidity tickled you
Tumblr media
Paranoid - 3/10
These sims can be delusional because of Big Pharma and whatever but like these sims are just trying to survive. Leave them alone. They see everything as a threat so there is little chance they actually abuse you because of their paranoia
Tumblr media
Romantic - 0/10
They aren't psychos they're just horny all the time
Tumblr media
Self Assured - ?/10
I give these guys a question mark mainly because I don't know how to spin them. They can be both innocent or they can be delusional but idk what the ratio is
Tumblr media
Squeamish - 0/10
They're just babies. They even get sick after a fight whether or not they won it or not
Tumblr media
Unflirty - 0/10
Just because they aren't into the horny doesn't mean they're psychos
Hobby Traits
Tumblr media
Art Lover - 0/10
Just because they like art doesn't mean they're psychos
Tumblr media
Bookworm -0/10
Nothing psycho by liking books
Tumblr media
Dance Machine - 0/10
I feel like these sims have adhd. Like they need to dance. It's their life essence. No they aren't psychos
Tumblr media
Foodie - 0/10
I don't see anything wrong here
Tumblr media
Geek - 0/10
They require video games like dance machines require dancing. Nothing psycho here
Tumblr media
Loves Outdoors - 0/10
Can be sus if they are already a psycho bc they know where to bury your body but other than that they're fine
Tumblr media
Maker - 0/10
They just want to make things. Nothing psycho here
Tumblr media
Music Lover - 0/10
Nothing psycho there
Tumblr media
Recycle Disciple - 7/10
OMG ok ok. so I don't play with trait and I will never play with this trait but I've heard that these sims will just see something and they recycle it. They are OBSESSED WITH RECYCLING. That diamond you found? Recycled. That collectable you found? Recycled? That precious thing you found? Recycled. They will have sex with that recycler ok. Very high on the psycho scale but I feel like a reason for their obsession is their belief that they are the only people that will save the earth from a climate disaster and refuses the fact that its the fucking oil companies and capitalism that is the problem
Lifestyle Traits
Tumblr media
Active - 0/10
They just want to do their push ups in peace
Tumblr media
Adventurous - 3/10
Now, usually these sims are normal about wanting to climb a mountain...but some of them are crazy to the point that the murder weapon is your lack of skill of climbing mountains so they'll lure you in to a hiking party in Mt. Konorebi, tell you that everyone can climb mountains and then they wait until you slip off a rock and die
Tumblr media
Child of The Islands - 2/10
Now if this is a Sulani native they're fine but if they're white and have this trait? Hawaiians know. Hawaiian weeabo that what these sims are
Tumblr media
Child of The Ocean - 0/10
They just won't eat fish leave them alone and let them turn into a mermaid
Tumblr media
Freegan - 3/10
Now, if they are in a financial situation this is fine but if they're living the dream and still feel embarrassed that they didn't get their own ingredients for a fruit salad and used money instead then that a they problem
Will be continued in a reblog bc I ran out of amount of images I can post on desktop~

Ninja headcanons 'cause I cannot stop thinking about them
Nya- Definitely bisexual. She's 4'11 but she can and will rip you to shreds if you hurt any of the other ninja. I can't decide whether or not she's buff or a muscular-twink hybrid. I'm a REALLY big fan of the ponytail. I'm a ponytail lover alright?
Kai- Dude's 5'1 I love Jiang/Smith siblings being short. He's a trans straight boy and he bullies Nya for being shorter than him but that's only because Lloyd surpassed his height and he's insecure about being short n' old lmao. Muscular-twink hybrid for sure.
Jay- At a (normal???) 5'6. Excuse me, I'm Asian and everyone here is short so 'average height' in western countries is really tall for me. I can't choose between bi or straight ally for him. He's a white boy gamer nerd making him a twink. He's still pretty strong though don't get the wrong idea. Think of Luz from The Owl House where she's a twink but she's still plenty strong by season 2. Like Nya, I'm a really big fan of the hair 2017+. I like the ponytail more but the curly hair is so cute ngl.
Lloyd- Same height as Jay. Jay insists his curls count and says that he's taller but everyone knows they're the same height. I really like the green eyes but brown looks great too. I'm thinking of a compromise between the 2 eye colors. I think the Oni and Dragon features only come in like a hologram-thingy whenever Lloyd uses that side. So like, the Oni horns will only appear when Lloyd uses his Oni side and even then it's translucent. Uhhh about sexuality and gender, he doesn't know anything abt the aroace spectrum but he's either a pan-grayromantic or downright aroace. I really like both since I kinda ship him with Brad but like also I don't want him to fall in love lmao. So it switches very often depending on my mood. I also want him to be muscular-twink hybrid like Kai but it makes more sense for him to actually be pretty muscular.
Cole- Buff aroace. Mlm is pretty cool though, it's just not for me y'know? Him and Kai are the Ninjago equivalent of the Domino Twins from Star Wars Clone Wars and you can't change my mind. That means I don't ship them but feel free to ship any of the 4 og ninja with each other I don't mind. Just let Lloyd and Nya stay out of that. Cole & Jay and Cole & Vania are 2 of my favorite bestie duos they're amazing. Forgot about heigh for a moment uhhh 5'9.
Zane- I'm so sorry guys but I don't care for him as much as the others. He's amazing but after season 4, I don't see too much meaningful interaction between him and the other ninja... Love his sass in the later seasons though. 6'1 enby (possibly agender?) pan btw. He doesn't care about care about gender whatsoever whether it's his own or others. I'm mostly using he/him though because I'm just used to it more. Same goes for all of the ninja since Zane is a pretty male name so they just assumed.
Pixal- 6'2 enby queen. Leans a bit more to the feminine side. I get bi vibes from them so bi it is. I want more Pixal and Nya friendship as Samurai X buddies. She mostly just interacts with Zane, Wu, and just a lil' bit with Lloyd in season 8 which makes me sad. I want interactions between them and Lloyd.
And yeah, that's it. If you've made it to the end of this post, I wanna say thanks for dealing with my bs.

kinda controversial and weird take from a DEEPLY confused transmasc agender person !! pls tell me if im being insensitive or offensive towards anybody, the point of this is to try to understand things better
will address topics such as confusing gender shit, confusing sexuality stuff, talk about between-the-legs privates (kinda, just mentions), and other stuff like that !! so dont read if ure sensitive to all this.
(let it be said that i'm writing this in the middle of the night, so please excuse any grammatical or logical mistakes)
my question is, basically: why is sexuality based on gender? shouldn't it be based on genitalia or biological sex instead?
(TALKING ABOUT SEXUAL ATTRACTION, THOUGH ROMANTIC CAN BE INCLUDED)
to me, gender doesn't make sense. no matter how many different ways its explained in, i don't get it. mainly because its such a subjective thing, and the experience on it varies for everyone. i recognise that its important somehow in society and is an essential part of a lot of people's lives, but i just cant see it as something that is real. it's such an odd thing to have made up as a species (to my knowledge, no other animal has something like it), and it seems pointless to me. hella abstract concept. i dont like it. i also understand that there is a difference between gender identity, gender expression, pronouns, and many other things, which only makes it all the more difficult.
this all (especially the last point) makes sexuality very confusing to me, as i dont see how one can differentiate individuals based on qualities that aren't really defined at all. there are no guidelines on what being a woman, man, enby, or any other gender means, so how can you be sure that you are only attracted to certain (if any) gender/s at all?
say, for example, that you like only one gender (not talking about bio sex rn). you get to know someone that you find sexually appealing, only to later find out that they are of a gender (not sex) other than the one you are (usually) attracted to. i would assume that that would change how you think about your sexuality and not how you feel about that person. but then, that's a thing that can happen to anybody, which makes me think that there's no way anyone can truly be certain of their sexuality.
however, at least for me, genitals are not something that your "attraction" towards can change, or at least not so easily/simply. if ure disgusted by a type of privates then theres not much you can do about it, like how you cant exactly change whether you like a food or not. AND they're always there.
another example, this time shorter (simpler???): you know for sure you like pussy, and you know for sure you dont like cock (we're talking strictly sexual attraction rn, btw). gender wouldnt rlly matter in this situation, since a person of any can have any set of parts.
you get my point?
im not trying to start trouble or shit like that, i genuinely just dont understand. pls explain this to me !!!!

heya! first of all, i fucking LOVE your game, and i don't mean to be harsh at all.
the main thing i wanted to say that i appreciate the inclusivity of the gender options, but the way it's split between "men/non-men" for the different routes is a bit frustrating.
i'm bigender male + female and panromantic, i see myself as both a girl who likes girls and a boy who likes boys. the problem is it's a bit frustrating essentially having to choose between "men/non-men" when i'm both.
i'd choose the nonbinary option, but i'm planning to transition ftm. i prefer mr over mx, and the idea of not being seen as enough of a guy for irene's route is rather dysphoric.
i'd choose trans man in the options, but the idea of not being seen as wlw enough or "enough of a girl" for rositas route is also dysphoric. i've previously identified as a lesbian and i'm dating one, so it feels kinda weird to be completely locked out of the option. it's a different type of dysphoria, but it's still not great haha
i understand most people who identify as ftm aren't bigender or wouldn't want to be seen as wlw, so i feel like this could possibly be fixed with more customizable gender options. maybe tickboxes and a way to change the pronouns/honorifics used would work? i'm not quite sure.
overall, i understand if this is too complicated to add, and i understand the way you implemented it covered the most ground, and that i'm an exception here. i just wanted to share my experience. thanks for hearing me out, and good luck developing repurpose further! i'm super excited for cherri's route btw. ^_^
hi there! I completely understand where you're coming from, truly I do. but our current gender system is complex enough as it is for someone like me who's very very novice at programming ^^; I'd love to have a pronoun system as complex as other games like Our Life, and I am aware they recently even released their script for their gender system, but Repurpose is very much at a state where overhauling our gender system would be more work ontop of a mountain of work I already have to do.
Myself on top of being the director am the artist for sprites and CGs, editor, and programmer, as well as managing a bunch of other things it stresses me out to even have to think about having to build up something from scratch again after a turbulent production that now just me and my partner Sam along with outside help for parts I genuinely cant do myself (voice acting/direction, music, backgrounds).
Again, I totally get where you're coming from especially also someone who is enby and gets frustrated with games that don't even have nonbinary options but a system more complex than the one we have is just not feasible with our current state of production. 😭
Perhaps if I ever do another visual novel I would but given how much I struggled with Repurpose alone it's unlikely....
