Tim the chessmaster anon here. Tim has got me caught up in this corn maze and I am big enough to admit I am fully mad about it lol. Like, there are so many random things that must mean things! The blue and red thing! The math thing with both A and Buck! It's got to all mean SOMETHING right?! But what the hell does any of it mean?? Lol I'm so gone on this show and these characters...
Things post-season 2 (aka when Tim & co. probably realized this was no joke to us) that were not necessary if Buddie isn’t going to be canon/endgame (Tim knows how to write platonic friendship without deliberately confusing the fans): 🌟 Eddie having a key to Buck’s apartment 🌟 “Wait for me to come home” being heard as Buck opens his apartment door to find the Diaz boys on the other side 🌟 “I love him enough to never stop trying. And I know you do, too.” 🌟 “There’s nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you.” 🌟 Eddie’s anger in the grocery store - “You know how much Christopher misses you? How could you? You’re not around.” 🌟 The Kitchen Scene™ 🌟 Both Buck and Eddie being there for Christopher’s first ride on his adaptive skateboard [in the same episode A*a thinks it’s a bad idea!] 🌟 “Are you boys single?” *Buck and Eddie share a glance* 🌟 Buck’s reaction to the possibility of Eddie dying (compared to the rest of the 118) 🌟 Hen saying if Buck goes down in the well to rescue Eddie they’ll end up with two cut lines (???? Why ????) 🌟 “Abby. His fiancée’s Abby.” 🌟 Literally EVERYTHING Ryan is doing this season??? 🌟 The misleading promos/synopses/utter silence pertaining to Buddie so that we never know when they’ll share a scene Sometimes... the simplest explanation actually is the right one.

ryan guzman really said "help each other out with christopher" instead of saying "buck helping eddie with christopher" and I?? sir?? are you aware of what you've implied here??
but in all seriousness I cannot get a read from this clip At All about what he actually thinks. he calls them besties. he says "if the fans wanna go there" which seems like maybe he just thinks of it as a fandom thing.
but then he says the "relationship is really special" and "I'm all for it" and he does seem genuinely excited to be on that shipping list. so??
Tumblr media
Context is important with this, IMO. According to Google, that interview was recorded on March 27, 2020 (you can find the full video on YouTube).
Going by the air dates from season 3, “Fools” (3.12) had premiered four days prior. 3.12...when we got our first glimpse of the woman in Eddie’s life now... not exactly a good omen for Buddie endgame at the time, right? He’d be foolish to say anything that offers us hope.
When I say “talks were had” I mean that at some point during season 3, I am sure Tim spoke to both Ryan and Oliver to make sure they were on board if the story was headed in that direction, which is why Ryan said “it’ll be interesting to see what happens with that.”
Now that we’re onto season 4, I don’t know how anyone watches Ryan around Oliver when they’re being BuckandEddie and doesn’t think he is aware of something we have yet to discover. 🤷‍♀️

The different outfits make me wonder if their different episodes, but then why no injuries not even a scratch on ryan. Also buck and ana meeting... when eddie wont talk about her to him 🤔👀 was it planned
I will be wrong about this (probably), but based on the synopsis for 4.13, my instinct says that IF there really is a scene with Buck at the Diaz house it’s because he wants to talk to Eddie about the boy they’re trying to help.
Ofc, you might say “why would A*a be around for that?”, but we know Eddie gets her involved thanks to the promo.
I’m not really getting ~family~ vibes from whatever’s about to happen. There’s a possibility Buck comes over because he’s got information/a plan and oh, damn. There’s a family dinner going on. (“This is Eddie’s house. I’m not really a guest.”)
All we know is that Buck “is in the scene.” That doesn’t mean he’s sat down at the table having a conversation.
The worst case scenario is most likely just that - something we’ve conjured up that will never happen.
