can’t stop thinking abt the whatever-that-is at the start of the investigations sector in AWE. when you first see it, it’s just the trippy duplicating effect, and it does that nearly every other time, except when you first come back to that area later, and it does a bunch of strange flashing lights and materializes new furniture and makes a bunch of noise. it stops when you walk away and wont do it again till you make the whole sector reload.
like. im probably overthinking it. im probably reading into it. but i feel like there’s something there, i just. do not know what it is. at some point an industrial light appears and slowly turns everything blue? idk if that has meaning. idk if the light patterns (it makes a couple of Xs or whatever that continue down the hall) mean anything, if the flashing pattern means anything (it affects ALL nearby lights), if im just goin full conspiracy mode, or what but like.
what is it. why is it. this game is making me lose my mind

“Hey,” Frankie shouts, his voice only just carrying over the heavy rain. “Hey, wait up!”
You glance back at him over your shoulder, but you don’t stop running. You can’t stop running. Not after what just happened. Why did you decide to tell him how you felt about him, again? Worst decision of your life.
“Hey!” Frankie shouts again, even louder this time. He’s quickly gaining on you; blame that on his Delta training. You keep running, looking left and right for a spot between the old buildings to shelter from the rain. Something just big enough for one person to hide from their best friend would be great, but you doubt you’ll find a spot like that.
Just when you spot an alcove the size of a small closet you step into a puddle that’s way deeper than it looks, and you smack against the pavement.
You hear Frankie curse from behind you, the splashing of his boots in the puddles getting louder and louder until he stops right next to you and crouches down to help you up. You let out a painful groan when he lifts you off the ground, your arms flailing around unwittingly until you manage to grasp onto his soaked flannel.
“Are you okay?”
“No, I’m not, Frankie,” you say with a sniffle. “Look, I know that just because I feel a certain way, you don’t have to… Why are you laughing?”
“I’m sorry,” Frankie grins. “But you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to hear those words! I’d given up all hope you’d ever say them, so,” he shifts to hold you closer to his chest, “I was a bit shocked, is all.”
You blink up at him dumbfounded as lightning flashes behind him, bathing the two of you in a heavenly light for just a moment. Before you realize what you’re doing, you grab his face and crash your lips into his with a passion you never knew you were capable of. He hums against your lips and you smile; this kiss is better than whatever you imagined it could be.
The rain washes over you and makes goosebumps pop up all over your skin, though that could also be from the intensity with which Frankie kisses you. His nose bumps against yours as he deepens it and something starts to blossom up in your belly, a tingling spreading from your sides all the way to your fingertips. After what feels like an eternity, he lets you go, the both of you breathing hard and haggard.
“Holy shit,” Frankie chuckles. “We’re both incredibly stupid, aren’t we?”
“Speak for yourself. I’d do it all again if this is what I get for it.”
Frankie laughs breathlessly and you can’t help but join him. All the anxiety in your body has transformed into exhilaration; you throw your head back and let the raindrops splatter onto your face freely when suddenly another flash of lightning strikes, this time so close you can almost feel it burn your skin. Hey, wait… why doesn’t it stop?
The burning sensation digs deeper into your skin and you snap your head back to look at Frankie, but he’s still laughing. You try to reach out and grab his shoulder, but something’s wrong with your hand. It’s- it’s shredding, your fingers flaking off and burning up in the air as you yell out, horrified at the sight.
Frankie doesn’t notice it when you feel yourself losing weight and floating upward, memories flurrying around you in the ash you’re slowly becoming. He doesn’t notice it when you get sucked higher and higher into the air, screaming his name and pleading him to help you. He doesn’t even notice it when you gasp in one last breath before the stinging headache you’ve developed in the last few seconds overwhelms you completely and you feel your consciousness slipping away.

You jerk awake. Holy stars, that wasn’t a normal nightmare. Where in Newton’s name did that even come from? Rain? It never rains here on the SS Endeavour, you’re in space. All the rain you’ve ever seen has all been via holovids. It did feel oddly realistic, though. Kind of like déjà vu. You stretch out your arms above your head and yawn; maybe you did drink a bit too much last night.
But that kiss… why would you ever kiss officer Morales? Sure, you’re friends. You’re his copilot, for Newton’s sake. But he’s far too mission oriented to even consider romantic relationships. At least, that’s what he says. You’d agree with him, if only he wasn’t obviously lying.
“Stars, would you hurry up already?”
You jump out of your bunk at the sound of Ava’s voice and start changing into your overalls, but it’s no use-- she’s already seen you.
“I don’t want to have to skip breakfast again because you can’t be bothered to get up when the alarm goes off.”
“Oh, stop worrying about your breakfast. I’m sure you still have some extra bread rolls in your secret hiding spot.”
“I will neither confirm nor deny that claim,” Ava says, but she’s got a twinkle in her eye. She’s such a bad lair. You step into your shoes, the soft hiss of the self-tying mechanism a nice reassurance of the fact that you’re not dreaming anymore.
“When commander Penn finds out you’ve been using his second wall safe to hide food, you’re getting an instant demotion,” you say. “You do know that, right?”
“It’s so sweet you still think that’s where I hide my stuff. Anyway, I really hope you’ve already picked up your new badge.”
You look up at her from where you’re sitting on the bottom bunk. “…Oh, shit.”
“Really? What kind of gas giant-”
“Don’t start calling me names you’ll regret, Ava,” you grumble as you scramble up and run out of the sleeping pod. This day really is off to an amazing start.

“Good morning, sunshine,” Fish greets you when you climb into the cockpit of your jet with a scowl. “We’ve got zone E today.”
You fasten your seatbelt and heave a sigh. “Yay for us.”
“I thought you liked the asteroid belt.”
“I do, I just…” You chew on your lip as you busy yourself with the control panel. “I had a weird dream, is all. Let’s get going, Fish.”
Because nothing kills a conversation quicker than telling someone about the strange dream you had last night. Now that you think about it, there was something else wrong with it: the stars. They were all in different places, made different constellations…
Usually something like that doesn’t dance around in your head for very long after you wake up, but this somehow keeps popping up whenever you try to navigate manually. It’s like your memories have been copied, but the copy has a whole lot of mistakes. Like there’s been a very, very bad data overhaul.
And then there’s Fish. Despite his casual, relaxed attitude he’s tapping his fingertips against the controls at a rapid pace. It’s a small detail, one you’ve noticed a hundred times before, but it’s taking on a different meaning in your head. You remember him doing it in the dream, too, right after you told him you loved him. Could that maybe-
“Hey!” Fish snaps his fingers in front of you, and everything around you comes back into focus. You’re floating in zone E, engine off, and there’s a bright red jet peeking out from behind a particularly large asteroid.
“Shit,” you mutter under your breath. “What’re they doing here? This isn’t Galactican territory.”
“Ambush, maybe?”
“I doubt it. If they were planning an ambush, they wouldn’t pick a fucking asteroid belt. Lord knows those new engines of theirs are about as stable as a peach in a blender.”
“Whatever they’re doing here, I don’t trust it,” Fish says with a frown. You sigh.
“Maybe they haven’t seen us yet. D’you think we can we get out of here in time?”
He shakes his head. “Can’t risk leading them right back to the Endeavour.”
“You… you haven’t radioed this in yet, right?”
“No.”
You lean forward to get a better look of your surroundings - seems you’ve been daydreaming for quite some time - only to see a whole lot of asteroids. “Well, it is just one of them, and it doesn’t look like the engine’s on.”
“It’s not broken,” Fish mutters. “At least, I don’t think.”
“Then what do you suggest we do? If we radio this in and someone’s in there, they can easily trace any signals the Endeavour sends out. If we open fire, we’ll have started a war-- and we really don’t need another one of those.”
“It’s taking too long.”
“Excuse me?”
“Not you,” he says absentmindedly, pointing at the blue spacecraft. “That. It’s moving too slow. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the brakes are on.”
You grab the lens from the wall beside you and take another look. Fish’s right: if the engine’s off, it should be floating around freely, not hanging still. As you stare at it, though, it does seem to move a little bit. No, it glitches. Your breath hitches in your throat. “Holy fuck.”
“Hm?” Fish hums, turning to you. You push the lens in front of his face, and he looks through it as well. No five seconds later, he’s grabbed the controls and started the engine. “We need to get out of here, right now.”
You grab the radio, but Fish snatches it from your hands and throws it across the cockpit. “We’re not gonna radio this in.”
“Are you insane?”
“What do you think base is going to do when they hear tell of a glitching Galactica spacecraft in the last productive tantalum mining fields?”
“Are you seriously suggesting not letting millions of people prepare for-” You’re cut off by the sudden appearance of a dozen more spacecraft, all of their noses pointed in your direction as you and Fish zoom past way faster than you should. “No, no, no!”
“Sunshine, listen to me,” Fish says as he puts his hand over yours. It grounds you, and you’re grateful for it, even if you don’t understand what he’s doing. “If they know we’ve been patrolling the fields, I’m guessing their main plan is to follow us back to the Endeavour.”
“…Which means they don’t know where it’s anchored,” you add, your anxious expression slowly turning into a smirk.
“Now you’re getting it,” he chuckles. “Let’s go take some advantage of that, hm?”
You nod and grab the controls in front of you to start plotting a route that’s just erratic enough not to draw suspicion to the fact that you’re leading the following spacecraft away from the Endeavour. Fish navigates the jet precisely along your route, narrowly avoiding the asteroids while turning a few degrees to the left every few seconds until you’re coasting out of the mining fields and into empty space. It works; behind you, the stream of spacecraft grows steadily, and with it, so does the size of the individual ships.
“They’re still following us,” Fish says after a while. He sounds a lot less sure of his case than he did ten minutes ago. “Hey, we have enough power left for a jump?”
“Depends on where you want to go,” you say, checking the fuel systems. “I reckon we can jump a total of about a thousand light years.”
“The center of the galaxy’s a little less than eight hundred light years away, correct?”
“Yes, but what…” you trail off as realization hits you like a nuclear bomb. “No, don’t even think about it.”
“They’re not backing off, Sunshine.” Fish turns to look you in the eyes, a small, watery smile on his lips. “I don’t think we have a-”
“Of course we have a choice,” you say with as much severity as you can muster, which, to be frank, isn’t a lot right now. “There’s always a choice.”
“Would you rather wipe out their fleet or our own?”
“I don’t-”
“Do it, Sunshine,” he says sternly. “Make the jump.”
You hesitate, your hand hovering over the lever. “Is… is there really no one on the Endeavour you’d turn back for?”
Fish’s smile grows a bit; you can see it’s genuine. “…I’m here with you, aren’t I? That’s enough for me.”
It catches you off guard, the way he says it. Deep down, you already knew what his answer would be. You dreamt about it, after all. Without another word, you push the lever forward, and the jet glides across space-time until it slows down again, finally coming to a halt near the event horizon of the massive black hole at the center of the galaxy.
“Did it work? Are they coming?” Fish almost jumps out of his chair to look outside, while you decide to look at the little radar on the control board. One by one the tiny, blinking dots come streaming in; your evidence of a job well done.
“Fish?” you ask, your voice wavering. There’s something more important than saving the universe on your mind right now. “Am I really enough for you?”
“Oh, stars,” he says, his own happy mood turning into something else as well. He sinks to his knees in front of your chair and looks up at you. “You are more than enough. You’re all I ever think about, you’re the only one that-”
Before he can finish his sentence, you’ve already grabbed his face and crashed your lips into his. You’re about to be swallowed up by a black hole, explanations can wait. The kiss grows more and more fervent as Fish’s hands travel up your thighs to hold your waist, a tingling feeling taking up refuge in your belly. After Newton knows how long, the two of you reluctantly break away from each other to breathe.
Stars, Fish, you whisper, but he shakes his head. Call me Frankie, he says. Please, call me Frankie. You tilt your head and press your lips against his scruff. Frankie, you whisper, please don’t stop. And he doesn’t. He closes his eyes and kisses you, over and over and over until your lips are swollen and all thoughts have left your head.
He zips open your overalls slowly, kissing every inch of newly uncovered skin he can find. His kisses burn lower and lower across your skin, past your clavicles, your chest, your belly, and before you, thousands of stars slowly implode. You don’t know if you’ve ever felt like this before; it’s all so incredibly bittersweet. You get to spend the longest night of your life with the man you love, but it’ll also be the last night you’ll ever experience.
One by one little pinpricks of light fade out in the darkness outside, while others explode in brightly colored clouds-- the same thing happens to your nerves whenever Frankie moves even the slightest bit. It’s a good thing sound doesn’t carry in space, or else you wouldn’t be able to hear the beautiful noises he makes when he closes his eyes in pleasure.
The two of you tumble around in what little space you have, the light of a billion dying stars illuminating every single part of your joint bodies as you splay your hands across his chest. The darkness is taking over more quickly now, enveloping your jet into nothingness, drawing you into the vast emptiness of its core.
We must have done something right, Frankie whispers as you lay, sweaty and tired, awaiting your bittersweet ending, to deserve such an incredible encore.
You close your eyes and curl up into his chest as you whisper back, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

You open your eyes again and smile when you look at Mr. Morales. He’s so gentle like this, with his fingers flying across the piano, not at all the stoic soldier he usually is. It’s nice, even if the others think it’s boring.
He finishes the piece with a shuddering creshendo, and you bite back a smile when he looks at you with those gorgeos eyes of his.
“Why’d you stop singing, my lady?”
“I apologize, sir,” you say as you flip over the music sheet on the little ledge of the piano. “But I simply can’t help it; you play so wonderfully, and I never truly learnt to sing very well. It seems a shame to pollute such beautiful tones with my own.”
“Nonsense,” Mr. Morales says with a kind smile. “Your voice only ever makes me want to play better.”
Your cheeks heat up at that, but the moment is quickly disrupted.
“Encore, encore!” a voice behind you yells; it’s Mr. Garcia, who’s been sitting in his usual post on the third floor. “We’re gonna need more than just the one piece if we’re to have any luck in catching more than a score of those bastards tonight.”
“Why don’t you come down and try singing for a bit, it might help,” Mr. Morales chuckles beside you. When he notices you staring at him, he leans in a little closer and adds, “Are you all right, miss? You seem distracted.”
“I’m perfectly good, sir.” You swallow hard and let out a weary breath. “Your music always seems to carry me away further than I expect.”
And for a moment there, you think to yourself, I thought I saw the stars up close.

A/N: I really threw all my knowledge of space and science out the window for this one and replaced it with nonsense and movie-science. Also, I’ve watched Interstellar, Free Guy, and Groundhog Day way too much for my own good.
The title of this chapter comes from an instrumental by the Grandbrothers which I listened to while writing, so if you want the full experience you can look that up.
If I'm missing any content warnings, do let me know! I'd hate to hurt someone with my writing, but I don't really know how to work those out yet.
PS: If you've got a favorite AU and/or dynamic, I'd love to hear about it! This series is going to explore a bunch of different ones, but I think my own imagination will only get me so far :)
As always, feedback is appreciated and my inbox is open! Have a great day!

A Small Glitch Chapter 7
I Don’t
“The song says ‘here comes the bride, all dressed in white’ not, ‘here he is, decked out in black’,” Chase complained as he helped Anti with his bowtie.
“The song also says ‘bride’ not ‘virus demon from hell’.” Anti chuckled. “And I’m wearing a red shirt, am I not?”
“Red and black, what kind of wedding colors are those?” Marvin scoffed from a chair that was in the corner of the room.
“Are you going to take that mask off?” Chase asked, heading for the other man.
“You touch my mask, I’m sending you to a different planet,” Marvin warned.
“You can’t take it off for one day? You’re one of Anti’s groomsmen, take this seriously.”
“I’m in a suit, am I not?” Marvin mimicked the movement Anti had made.
“This suit feels weird over my superhero suit,” Jackieboy said, messing with the buttons of his shirt.
“You’re wearing…” Chase pinched his nose and sighed.
“Everything’s going fine, best man.” Anti patted Chase’s shoulder. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.”
“I try my best.” Chase chuckled.
“Excuse me, they’re ready for the groomsmen.” A young man said after peeking his head into the room.
“Oh, shit...it’s time. Oh, fuck.” Anti started taking deep breaths.
“You’re getting married, not giving birth.” Chase teased as Marvin, Jackieboy and Dr. Schneeplestein left the room.
“We’ll let you know when we’re ready.” The man said before going away. The worker showed the Septiceyes where to go.
“Is he doing okay?” Dark asked.
“Yes, Mr. Powell, he’s fine. You need to get to the entrance, this wedding is already behind.” The man ushered Dark to his spot. “He’s here, the groomsmen are pairing up. I’ll get Mr. Frost, you can start.” The man said into the microphone that was taped to his face.
Dark tensed up when the song started playing. The song that told him that he needed to walk. He needed to move. He got a light tap on the shoulder and he turned to see Wilford giving him a thumbs-up and a smile.
“You got this, pal,” Wilford whispered as he looped his arm through Dark’s.
“Thank you.” Dark whispered back before taking a breath through his nose. With one large step, he went through the golden ribbons that were blocking his view of the main room. He walked with his head high. He felt his entire body radiating with confidence and joy as he moved. Wilford was stepping at the same time as him, their movement strong and fluid. Dark could hear whispers and he knew that they were all saying things about him. They were commenting about him and his attire. And he loved every second of it. Dark was shocked to see that Google was smiling at him as he got closer to the machine.
“Congratulations, Dark,” Google said softly as he hugged the demon. Dark smiled his thanks and took his spot, Wilford standing beside him. Dark watched as the egos all traveled down the aisle in pairs, arms linked together.
Host’s face was facing forward, walking stiffly while Marvin was looking around, but walking properly. Bim and Jackieboy were practically bouncing as they came down. Dr. Iplier and Dr. Schneeplestein were the only ones to look somewhat normal as they walked.  All of the egos took their respective places, leaving room for two more adults. Dark glanced over at Bing who was sitting at the sound both and with a nod, the music paused for a moment. Everyone stood as the Bridal Chorus played.
“My little girl,” Dark whispered, seeing Annalise walked down with a basket of petals. She was giggling and smiling as she tossed out the petals. She placed the basket down when it was empty and ran the rest of the way to Dark. “You did great.” He said.
“Daddy,” Annalise said, pointing. Dark followed the finger and his chest warmed up. Anti was walking down with Chase but Dark only saw Anti. The man’s smile was wide and his eyes were bright. He was so happy. Dark wanted him to be this happy for the rest of eternity. Anti rarely wore fancy clothes, let alone a suit and Dark was grateful that he waited until today to see Anti dressed up. Everything was on him perfectly, it hugged the right places and accentuated the amazing parts of the body Dark knew so well.
“You’re crying,” Anti said.
“You’re beautiful,” Dark said back, taking Anti’s hands into his.
“Pretty.” Annalise agreed.
“Ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, people of all ages, I welcome you to this happy day,” Google said after everyone had sat down. “This is a day of joy. Of peace. Of love. These two have known each other for many years, first as enemies and now, they are soon to be spouses. They took in a child, a child that has only made their love stronger and they have chosen to make their love a true statement. They have chosen to be bound under the heavens, promising to always love each other. Through sickness or health. Through thick or thin. They will always be there for each other.” Anti could feel tears forming in his eyes, seeing that Dark’s were still wet and he could Chase was sniffing behind him. “If anyone wishes to protest, speak now or forever hold their peace.” There was a pause. “Darkiplier.” Google’s voice projected a different name to anyone that wasn’t an ego or Annalise. “Do you take Antisepticeye to be your spouse. To love and to hold, until your days are done?”
“I do,” Dark said, giving Anti’s hand a light squeeze.
“And do you, Antisepticeye, take Darkiplier to be your spouse. To love and to hold, until your days are done?”
“I do,” Anti whispered, his voice hoarse from holding back his tears.
“Then I do now pronounce you married, you may kiss.” Google stepped back as Anti grabbed Dark’s face and pulled him into a kiss, the crowd cheering as music played.
“We’re married.” Anti laughed.
“We’re married.” Dark scooped Annalise up, took Anti’s hand and lead his now-husband out of the room.
Everyone slowly piled into a separate room, taking their seats at their assigned tables. They chatted amongst themselves until Anti, Dark, and Annalise entered the room, all of them clapping as they took their seats.
“Cake!” Annalise shouted as she threw her arms into the air.
“We have to eat dinner first,” Dark said, standing up.
“Aw, no fun.” Annalise pouted, earning a few laughs from the crowd.
“I would like to say thank you to all of you for coming out here this evening. This wedding was planned in only a month and it would not have been possible without the help of our lovely friends.” Dark said and sat back down, gesturing for the servers to begin passing out the food.
“Let me tell you a few things about my pal here,” Wilford said as he got up. “I’ve known him for a long time. We’ve been through a lot more than what people would believe and he never gave up on me. He is not a quitter. He will find a way to make sure that everything works out for everyone. And I know that he will be a great husband and an even better father.” Wilford bowed a little and sat back down as the crowd applauded.
“Life is never the kindest to everyone.” Chase started taking his turn to speak. “Sometimes the world feels as if it’s been turned upside down as if it will never get better. But it does. Life does get better. To go from hating each other to marrying in a few years is proof that the world isn’t always a terrible place. I know deep down in my heart that these two love-birds will stay like this. Love-birds. Years and years from now when most couples have given up, they will be acting as if they just got married. May your years be filled with endless joy.” Chase gave Anti a pat on the shoulder before sitting.
“Let’s eat!” Anti chuckled.
                                                     x~x~x
“It's been said and done. Every beautiful thought's been already sung. And I guess right now here's another one.” Dark sang as he and Anti danced together in the center of their living room. Annalise was sitting on the couch, laughing and clapping along to the beat of the song playing on the radio. The wedding had ended an hour ago, but Anti and Dark were still filled with all the excitement and adrenaline from it.
“I, I love you like a love song, baby.” The two sang together.
“Love song!” Annalise tried to sing along as well.
“We’re not letting Wilford drink at our anniversary party.” Anti chuckled.
“Oh? Don’t you love a drunk Wilford sobbing as he sings ‘I will always love you’?” Dark held Anti close and spun them in a circle.
“I think you singing ‘I got you babe’, is what started the sobbing.” Anti let out a laugh when Dark tilted him back.
“How could I not sing that? My voice is perfect for it.” Dark gave Anti a peck before pulling him back up.
“How long is this ‘honeymoon’ phase supposed to last? I could get used to an affectionate Darky.” Anti let out a light gasp when Dark squeezed his rear.
“I can last all night.” Dark whispered into his ear.
“Wait till we get Ann to bed, big boy.” Anti chuckled.
“Time for bed, Annalise,” Dark announced, releasing Anti.
“Someone’s impatient.” Anti teased.
“Look at my husband, how could I not be impatient?” Dark ran a hand through Anti’s hair. “Even though that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”
“I-” Anti stopped when there was a knock on the door.
“Everyone went home,” Dark said as he walked over to it.
“It’s two in the morning,” Anti added, staying behind.
“I’m so sorry Isaac,” Viana said before three officers burst into the house.
“What is happening?” Dark demanded.
“Don’t touch her!” Anti yelled from behind him.
“Sir, we have been authorized to remove this child from this home.” One of the officers said, yanking Annalise out of Anti’s arms.
“Hey!” Dark shouted, running over to the officer.
“Isaac, please. You have to let them take her.” Viana said.
“You’re not taking my daughter!” Anti was about to lash out, but Dark grabbed him. “No! No!” Anti screamed, trying to fight against Dark.
“You come to my home at two in the morning right after my wedding, still wearing the dress you wore to my wedding. The wedding that we invited you to because we trusted you. We thought you were one of us. But it’s clear who you are.” Dark glared at Viana as he spoke. “You’re fucking nothing.” He spat, voice doubling.
“Isaac-”
“Don’t you dare call me that,” Dark growled.
“Don’t take her, please, don’t take her!” Anti begged. “Please! Please!”
“I’m sorry...the mother wants her child back,” Viana said softly before she and the men walked out of the house, shutting the door behind them.
“No! No! Please! Please!” Anti cried, falling to his knees. “Please! Don’t take her! Don’t take her! Please...please...please…” Anti’s cries slowly turned into sobs. “Please.” He croaked out, clinging to Dark while the other man held him. “Ann...Ann…” Anti started glitching, Dark being the only thing that was keeping him together.
“I’ll get her back,” Dark whispered, rubbing his hand against Anti’s back. His shell had cracked, his aura was mostly red as it surrounded the two. “I will get her back.”

2001: A Space Odyssey, Summary, UGC NET English Literature Study Material
Global Teachers Academy: 09953762308
 Summary
The man-primates of the world, who lived by social occasion berries and nuts, were confronting an absence of nourishment. A monster stone monument showed up on Earth multi day and started to explore different avenues regarding a significant number of them, testing and building up their brains. Among those in whom the stone monument took an intrigue was Moon-Watcher, the main man-chimp who strolled completely upright. During the evening, a couple of select man-primates were instructed and amid the day, they advanced. Moon-Watcher found that he could mold apparatuses with which to slaughter creatures for sustenance—the man-gorillas' yearning issue was explained. Time passed and the man-chimp developed. His mind developed, he created dialect and sorted out into civic establishments, and he concocted weapons—first blades, however then firearms lastly atomic rockets. Such developments had been focal in man's domain over earth, yet "as long as they existed, he was living on re-appropriated time."
Anxious to leave on another space mission, Dr. Heywood Floyd touched base at the Florida dispatch area in the wake of meeting with the president. He offered no remark to the press, nor would he uncover the points of interest of mission to the group that served him so steadfastly on board or to his Russian companion whom he experiences at the joint U.S.- U.S.S.R. space station, a stop on his adventure to the Moon. Upon his entry, Floyd is welcomed by a best authority of the Moon province and sped off to a gathering. A lead researcher clarifies that they had discovered an attractive unsettling influence in Tycho, one of the Moon's cavities. An examination of the zone had uncovered a huge dark piece, called Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-One (TMA-1). It was definitely formed and, at three million years old, originates before people. It is the primary conclusive verification of the presence of additional earthly, smart life. Floyd and a group of researchers drive over the moon to really see TMA-1. When they reveal the monster, dark piece and daylight hits upon it out of the blue, it sends forward a puncturing sound and a solid wave flag to the most distant spans of the universe.
David Bowman and Frank Poole were the cognizant people on board the Discovery space mission to Saturn. Three of their partners were resting, to be woken when they moved toward Saturn. Furthermore, Hal, a misleadingly savvy PC kept up the ship and was a functioning piece of life on board. Bowman and Poole's everyday lives had been perfectly arranged. Their days were profoundly organized to guarantee the proceeded with achievement of the mission and to ensure that nothing turned out badly.
The ship was nearing Jupiter. Here, it discharged tests to assemble data to be sent back to Earth and contemplated. Revelation at that point exploited Jupiter's gravitational field to get an additional push and speed on toward Saturn.
Poole is viewing a birthday video transmitted to him by his family back home when Hal hinders to disclose to him that the AE-35 unit of the ship is set to glitch. Poole takes one of the additional vehicular cases and replaces the AE-35 unit, which is basic for keeping up radio contact with Earth. Bowman conducts tests on the AE-35 unit that has been supplanted and finds that nothing isn't right with it. Afterward, Hal claims that the second AE-35 unit is set to come up short. Suspicious, Poole and Bowman radio back to Earth; they are informed that something isn't right with Hal and are offered directions to close him off. These directions are hindered as the flag blurs—the AE-35 unit has broke down. Poole and Bowman attempt start to consider how they will restore correspondence with Earth.
Poole takes a Pod outside the ship to get the fizzled AE-35 unit. As he is dealing with dislodging the unit, the case, which he had left further from the ship, starts advancing toward him. He can't move off the beaten path in time and he is killed by the impact. Bowman is stunned by Poole's demise and is profoundly troubled. He ponders whether Hal truly could have executed Poole. He concludes that he should wake the three different space travelers from their hibernation. He has a long contention with Hal, toward the finish of which, since Bowman debilitates to disengage him, Hal consents to give him manual control over the way toward completion the hibernation. As Bowman is defrosting his associates, he feels a frosty chill enter the ship. The airtight chamber entryways on base have been opened. Everything on the ship starts viciously vacillating about. The weight on board is fundamentally dropping as the ship is equilibrating with the vacuum outside. Bowman paws his way into a fixed crisis chamber where he drinks from a crisis oxygen supply. Bowman at that point slides to the ship's innards and separates Hal, who he understands has turned killer. Bowman returns the ship all together and restores contact with Earth. At exactly that point does he discover that the genuine reason for the mission is to investigate Japetus, a moon of Saturn, and take in more about the development that left TMA-1 behind on the Moon.
Bowman discovers that Hal had started to feel regretful about keeping the motivation behind the mission from him and Poole. This had started to show itself in little mistakes. At last, when Hal was debilitated with being stopped, he wanted to protect himself, as though his extremely presence were in question.
Bowman invests a very long time on the ship, alone, getting ready to meet with Japetus. He sees a little dark spot on the moon. When he draws nearer, he understands this is a massive dark chunk, like TMA-1, just significantly bigger. He takes one of the additional vehicular units trying to arrive on the section. The section, which had been idle for so long, opens and is loaded with stars. It swallows Bowman's pod and vanishes from Japetus. Mission control never gets notification from Bowman again.
Bowman was rushed through a field of stars that appeared just as it had no end. At long last, he was discharged into a faraway world just to be gulped once more into the Star Gate and rehash the procedure. In the long run, he is brought to what gives off an impression of being a pleasant inn suite, precisely built to influence him to feel at home. Bowman rests to rest. While he rests, his psyche and recollections are depleted from his body and protected in a light structure. David Bowman is being made godlike and without a body. Bowman comes back to our nearby planetary group and investigates Earth. An atomic warhead has been let go; Bowman explodes the warhead noticeable all around, sparing the world from atomic demolition.

MEA liveblog #4
Spoilers!
Voeld
Why am I asking a person I've never met before about "Ice talkers" which I've never heard before but she apparently has mentioned?
Okay, I took two steps back and the banter that mentions the ice talkers triggered.
Don't you love the conversation angles where the person talking to your hero is not in the frame at all?
Liam: "Seriously, Ryder, you didn't bring any music?" Ryder: "I swear, I will turn this car around" Um? Why is she snapping so viciously? There's absolutely no reason, it was very jarring. Is it because I almost never use casual options?
Vetra and Liam are so chatty?? I don't think I've ever heard a single conversation from Peebee and Liam on Havarl, but these two talk regularly.
Will I have to kill people over these whales? :/
Bought a weapon for the first time -- the Isharay, because everyone's praising it.
Damn, Isharay really does feel nice!!
After like an hour of driving, climbing and fighting, I finally found the kett base and established a forward station near it.
Well the kett base was ridiculously easy as a vanguard... I had much more difficult fights on the way here!! Is this really all?
A Dhan? Nice, I've been meaning to try it out.
I really don't understand what and where I'm supposed to find in this base...
Of course I had to climb the mountain on foot and deplete all of my life support just in time to reach the kett camp and be shot down.
For fuck's sake, they respawned in the lower base I just cleared. Well at least I'll get extra xp?
Why is the UI so dumb? I have my three powers and profile active; I assign them to a favorite slot; the powers are saved but the profile is empty, when I go to the profile screen it's unchecked, I have to re-check it and assign the favorite again.
Finally, another forward station!
Gosh, this entire questline is so dull and frustrating. I only do it because people asked. (And because I want 100%.)
Holy shit, a kett carfalon! I gotta go back to the forward station and equip it immediately.
And here's the medicine cache I've been searching!!
The carfalon has higher base damage than the omniblade, but feels weaker/slower.
Dancing among enemies with full shield and health is fun. Not as fluid and quick as the ME3 novaguard though, but everything has a downside.
Just as I said that, got shot down and now I have to redo the last five minutes.
Charge to restore shields + melee to restore heath is great
Look game, I know I'm strong, but why don't you let me fucking save. It's been like 15 minutes!
OH SHIT AN ASCENDANT
PLEASE DONT KILL ME NOW!!!!!
Where's the elevator?? Do I have to defeat the Prefect to get to it?
Turned the difficulty down to easy to kill him. I've had enough.
Oh god, I can save! It's over!!
Shout out to that person who wrote somewhere either on BSN or Reddit that the kett corfalan restores health on hit. I literally owe them my Ryder's life.
I'm level 21 now btw, thanks to all this fighting.
This wasn't enjoyable, Bioware. This was frustrating and dull and then frustrating and stressful. I'm getting off this goddamn planet. Oh wait, gotta do Cora and Peebee's quests, too.
"You made it look so easy" IT WASN'T, BELIEVE ME.
No you know what, I'll at least go back to the Tempest and buy some consumables. I used my last shield right before the Prefect appeared.
Tempest
Aw, Peebee and Lexi!
Oh, a strike team brought me a Disciple! And a Reegar! And a Sandstorm, whatever that is. Btw I don't see that last thing in my inventory -- does that mean all rewards that go over the limit are lost? Wait, there's no Reegar too. The inventory officially crossed the line from Evil to Irredeemably Evil. :(
Voeld
It looks like the quality of planets goes downhill with every new one. Eos was intriguing. Havarl was a bit too DAI-like, but still had the original spirit of exploration. Voeld is just a brutal grind.
Oh shit, that's Peebee's LM! Looks like an ordinary Remnant site, so it's probably safe to do something here without triggering the entire mission. I was trying to avoid it, but it's right in the way to the ancient city, and obviously I can't not take her there.
BTW I'm really tired of bringing Jaal everywhere just because it's all about his people.
Is it my imagination, or did my adept profile dodge become faster after I reached a new level of this profile?
Stop! Telling! Me! About! Temperature!
I know it's cold, SAM. Tell it to the designers who make Peebee run around in -40C wearing one layer of clothing with a belly window.
Of course I can't save again. But now the game finally autosaved, so I can call it a day.
Wait, I'm not getting this choice. So the AI wants to die? And she holds the angara hostage so that I'd kill it? And if I kill the AI the hostage will be free? And both will get what they want -- AI wants to die and the man wants to live? If so, that seems like a vastly better option.
Alright, tried the other option. The AI kills the hostage, Ryder makes a renegade speech. Peebee disapproves because the AI is untrustworthy and the Nexus already distrusts AI in general. Jaal approves -- for some reason through a radio despite standing right here. The AI asks to work with SAM instead of the angara, and you can make a choice. So this is a more interesting decision for the story... But it doesn't feel right. For my pure paragon character, at least.
Yay, a forward station! I think I have all of them unlocked now. It's time for The Only Fetch Quest That Matters aka dad's memories.
And an outpost! I feel really productive. "They invited us here," though? When?? But at least I had the option to talk about cooperation with the angara. Also Addison's textures glitched like hell here.
Shit, shouldn't have talked to the outpost leader, she acts like it's been a month and gives me a rescue mission immediately. But I could say that I was surprised that the Angara had let us put an outpost here. You and me, Ryder...
Aw, the name of the outpost is "Forward together" in shelesh(?)! She made a nice speech here.
Okay, I'm going to just pretend all of the outpost stuff takes place in the future. I'll go to Cora's LM and then proceed with the main story.
Cora why do you have a boring fetch quest for a LM?
Wait, the Perifona is only one ship, right? Not the entire asari arc?
Ah, okay, it's a scout ship.
This was one of the few instances I chose all casual options and they were fine. Ryder sounds realistically upset. Usually casual options are awkward unfunny jokes...
And finally, I'm free to move on!!!
Tempest
Flirted with Peebee, not the biggest fan of the acting but w/e
Whoa, I have two cryo pod points!! Bonus xp and caches on maps, here we go. It's funny that my pacifistic nerd has most points poured into military and none in science.
"But we are outsiders"
Liam, you're a sweetheart, but please get dressed
Redid the conversation with Vetra without the flirting. First, unless Peebee suddenly makes me hate her, then I'm romancing her; second, Vetra is a great person with great looks, but she's such a Mom Friend(tm).
Hold on, I've already asked Jaal all these questions, why are they not greyed out??
Why is "I wasn't close to my father" on the left and "I'm sorry, I lost my father too" on the right?
Why is Jaal speaking so slowly
Whoa, Voeld is 71% already? And I haven't even touched the monoliths!
Aya
Alright, I'm going to headcanon that establising the Voeld outpost happens after this scene. Now that would make a lot of sense!
Why did Ryder fricking yell at this person for being "hearless" when he asked if the supplies are safe?? I'm too lazy to reload, but it was stupid.
Aya feels really peaceful.
It sounds like the same actress voices half of the NPCs in this game and DAI. I constantly get a feeling I'm still in the Hinterlands...
Vanadium is too expensive to buy... I get shield boosters every time I see them, though.
It's a good idea to let me have an opinion on the exaltation, but it's hard to predict from the wheel what these opinions really are. And the emotional one is kinda stupid. The kett weaponise their victims to make you hesitate? Nobody knew that until last week! (As implausible as that is.)
The sound quality in this location is pretty terrible. Different layers of sound don't blend together but abruptly switch on an off as I walk around.
For fuck's sake. Tried "friendship" option with Jaal again, and it was actually flirting again. What's the fucking point???
Logical: "The more we know about kett, the easier it will be to hurt them" Uh, nope. Let's go with my heart this time. Though I don't want to hear another stupid "Oh no, how shocking and horrible", it'd be still more in character.
"City planners don't walk around in battle armor with rifles on their shoulder" Thank you! Though it would work better in a conversation where I'm actually wearing armor...
"We traveled to build a new life here" "That's what invaders always say"
Casual Ryder asks Cora for advice for living among aliens, her answer: "Be polite about scanning your food"
"Don't take this the wrong way, but this isn't your only city, right" BHAHAHA BEST LINE IN THE GAME
"I noticed that you, Efra and Jaal all speak with different accents" Well I didn't...
Ryder, you already know angara have big families, why do you sound so surprised?
What the fuck, did I just hit on the governor? I thought it was another question!!!
A task to relay letters from angara to the Nexus sounded nice already. I thought it'd be just a fetch quest and didn't expect to see actual letters! It's a very effective way to represent a realistic range of opinions. More than I expected from the game. And I have to choose whether to edit them or not! That's original. I don't understand how exactly I'm supposed to edit them -- tried in an alternate save, and nothing new happened.
Oh look, I discovered a new spot on the way to the terminal! Which I guess is the main purpose of this quest, except I only talked to the governor after exploring almost everything else. It's nice that the game helps you explore and force you to read the codex.
Alright, I think I've done everything here, let's proceed. Who do I take with Peebee? Let's take Vetra.
Oh, it's not a mission? Just a cutscene with me and Moshae? Alright.
I don't like where this is going. So now instead of exploring I'll have to build an army to take the Meridian? How boring.
And the codex says that this makes the mission more urgent... ugh.
Wait, the Archont wants to destroy all non-kett life in the cluster? I thought his goal was to improve the kett by assimilating others...
So that's what I need on Kadara.
I still find the angara pretty dull, but as a hub Aya is very well built.
Tempest/Aya/Tempest
Gil's poker notes! :D
Peebee and Vetra are standing next to each other: :) They're not talking: :(
I just left Aya and wanted to go to the Nexus, but w/e, if Liam wants I'll pretend we haven't taken off and go meet him in that bar. Again.
Lexi... has eyebrows?
Tann appreciated the uncensored letters! See, he's good.
Sorry Kallo, but talking about "respect" is pretty dumb in this situation
Got a Hornet as a strike team reward.
I don't get it. How is scanning food is going to help us grow it? Liam says he "stopped the operation" but he not only continues it himself but makes me do it -- for no reason? What the hell was that.
It gets worse. He gave out some classified and Nexus data?? In exchange for fixing something? What. the. fuck.
Liam's LM
I had to make that Star Wars reference, of course.
The bad guy apparently plays threatening music over the comms in-universe lol
Of course Ryder had to make a joke with Liam! She is a kid like him after all. And Vetra was like "I wish I could punch both of you"
The designers sure had fun with vertical mobility huh :D
Wait, it's been on easy all this time? Since when? I only noticed when an armored target went down too fast...
Had to melee the Hydras. Thanks to the MP community for explaining that they don't have a sync-kill...
Bradley & co are so competent!
"What's he complaining about? Put him right side up, didn't we?"
Oh fuck, a fiend! Good thing I have a flamethrower, and brought incendiary ammo.
Look, a hacking objective. Had an extraction on Voeld, now this. I hope we won't have to do the new ABC upload at some point...
"We need to bring everyone back home safely" vs "We need her to saty while we replace the codes" um, both?
I picked the latter. Liam got mad. Um, why? I'm not trying to blame Verand, it's just a safety precaution. I used the interrupt. Then, to soften the blow, told him he was right. He was so shocked! :D And the line was pretty nice too, not "I take everything back, I'll kiss everyone's ass to get their approval" but "We're in over our heads"
Good mission! Very cinematic, nice humor. I don't get Liam's logic at all very often (and now am relieved I didn't go for the romance) but he had some nice warm character moments here.
The next step in Liam's story is to do Jaal's mission! I'm loving this. Just before thiggering this conversation I overheard the two of them and thought how nicely their friendship is established. But this level of connection between companions is completely new!
Tempest
Before the game's release, people were talking about Kallo as a young person. I didn't expect him to have such an old man story.
Why doesn't the ship's database have its own schematics in the first place?!
"Just think: while we're poking around in kett's genetics, they're probably doing the same with ours" "Wonderful. That's me never sleeping again"
I've complained about the galaxy map, a lot of people did, but let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that we don't have to spend fuel!
Nexus
"Lexi: Bottom of the Bottle" Hmm, I wonder where I could find her... :D
This woman is worried whether we should welcome angara as if it weren't us who are alien visitors here... Good thing I had the option to tell her exactly that! Even though it wasn't labeled clearly enough.
I had a feeling when I saw the name of Lexi's quest that Peebee's bullying got to her!
"Every one of my exes said that"
Whoa, the game rememebered that I flirted with her! That's a nice bit of continuity. "Yes! I mean no! Don't change the subject!" Btw "Don't change the subject" not only works here emotionally, but is also a smooth way to bring you back from an investigation dialogue option to the main conversation.
All casual options with Gil hell yeah
I refused to cheat initially. Then did it in another save. Ryder comment on Jill changes! And when she wins we get all four options. Seems like only one of them confesses to cheating. I picked that one. Hmm, not sure which one I like better... Btw it's really nice how Ryder replies to SAM but makes it sound she's replying to Gil.
Oh, Peebee's in the starting area too? I was expecting to search for her everywhere...
Aaaand I got stuck in some plant. Reload!
Whoa! So that's how Remnant VI is unlocked!! That's so cool. I sort of assumed I'd just pick it up somewhere. Now I've got to learn it!!! Using a power personally designed by your crush for you is amazing!!
What is this Leliana-Marjolain shit
At least she has a classic asari face texture :D
The translations are getting weirder and weirder. "Glad to see you moving on" -> "Glad to see you move to a new place"
Oh, it's even unlocked by default! Nice!
And now I'm finally free to deal with my own personal story! Btw I didn't realize until this second, but it's great that in this game the protagonist *has* their own personal quest.
Let me guess, Alex's "fix" will backfire and kill Ellen faster?
"My education on human mortality began that day" -- the translators misread "mortality" as "morality"!! Argh!
Recordings of a quarian historian and the Shadow Broker!
I have two unlocked memories today (from Havarl and Voeld). There's only one remaining. It makes me sad... Does this mean that after Kadara we'll move onto the endgame already?
Family flashback!! There's no reason to have this specific memory blocked, it doesn't reveal anything, and it kind of restricts roleplaying possibilities... But it was amazing to see everyone in a cinematic! And the Ryders were very defined characters already anyway.
Oh, so this doesn't count for unlocking dad's restricted logs! This is good news.
I knew the spoiler that the attempted murderer goes back to cryo... I won't call a suicidal guy a coward.
Tann: "Stay away from Kadara. I cannot stress this enough" Ryder: "Lol"
Don't spring life-and-death decisions on me like that! Told the turian to stay on the Nexus just to be safe. Though this might mean he'll be killed when trouble inevitably comes here...
Baby krogan engineer Kesh!! How cute.
You know what I don't like? When the game greys out the questions I've already asked before, but have new answers now. Like when you talk to SAM about the unlocked memories, or to Addison about viability. Meanwhile, Peebee's "Flirting" is still open...
Oh, there's a viability chart in Pathfinder HQ! There's one more planet after Kadara. This is a bit spoilery if you ask me.
Aw, poor Tann is out of his depth!
Alright, I think I've done everything here.
"Our leaders have discussed whether we should send colonists there" FUCK NO!!! Are you serious?? Angara themselves have to rotate because that one planet can't support them all at once, and you're talking about burdening it with aliens?? You know, I like being a hero in this game just to prevent bullshit like this!!
Tempest
Peebee... I've already met you in Aya museum...
Multiplayer
I lost connection to a session so hard it threw me out of multiplayer into the starting screen...
Extracted from a Bronze Apex mission with bonus to combos as an asari adept. Everyone else played ranged characters and stayed close together on a roof or something -- sorry I ran off and died several times, I need to be in melee range!
Wait, it's not marked as completed -- what?
This mission has a bonus to explosions, and I still can't kill a mook
This game on wave 3 is already longer than the previous game on 6...
God, this was the laggies, glitchiest match ever. 20+ minutes Powers took a second to process. Couldn't refresh shield in cover or use ops packs. I got shot down on 00:00. And nothing registered: APEX mission not completed, no credits, no xp.
Nobody joined my own lobby, let's try again
Finally! A normal full extraction, and mission finally complete. But when I tried to disable a device I couldn't progress more than halfway
I increased the range of Annihilation, but can't feel or see the change :(
