This is slightly controversial and honestly you can skip this completely if you think this might bring hate to Jimin in any form because that's not my intention at all. I trust your judgement.

I was just thinking about what your anon said about taking kpop shipping too far in the case of Karina who I don't know so I don't know if that's accurate for her. But I was thinking, though I blame the majority of the strange perception around Jimin and jikook on shippers, because they overblow certain things for no reason even though Jimin does the same thing with other members, sometimes I wonder if he isn't slightly to blame for the shipping mess he's gotten himself in? Not most things but just a few incidents like the whole biting JK on the neck thing, or the whole JK carrying Jimin out of the concert.

Both of them know they have shippers and I understand they grew up in a culture where it's normal for kpop group members to act like that but when I see pjms blame taekook for feeding their shippers which they definitely do, I feel Jimin is also very slightly guilty of the same and we sweep it away because we love Jimin and also he seems like a very touchy guy but I just find it a tiny bit hypocritical to blame everything on everyone but absolve Jimin. He's definitely the least problematic person in this situation but... I give Jimin the benefit of the doubt always because he's a touchy guy who's grown up in kpop but I also give the other two the same grace. Does that make sense?

He's not being absolved of anything. Jm has gotten hate all his career because he's touchy, he's been called an attention seeker, queerbaiter, homewrecker and a slut. He knows about the hate and the fact that he never limited his physical interaction with members because of it should tell you all you need to know.

Jimin's connection to jikook as a ship has done nothing for him, in fact it's done more harm than good so wouldn't it be counterproductive if he was like that because he wanted the stans to think he was gay and in a relationship with jk and in turn make them like him and his music?

Also Jimin is like that with all the members at all times, as opposed to certain members who initiate forced interactions when they need to promote their music. Jimin is touchiest with Hobi and Hobi is just as touchy and they barely have shippers, it's not his fault if jikookers think he's dating jk when he acts the exact same with other members. Like I'm sure Jimin isn't doing all that with Hobi because he wants armys to think they're dating.

Jimin already addressed this and he has explicitly stated that he doesn't do fan service or bromance, he's just being himself if you were a Jimin Stan you would know that.

No one thinks Jimin is gay or bi because he clings to his members, they think he is because of how he's perceived and because of things that have been insinuated.

Jk carried Jimin out, not the other way around so I'm confused and that's like the tamest thing BTS members have done with each other. And they said Jimin bit him because he wouldn't stop swirling him around they never insinuated anything romantic with it, jikookers did that all by themselves. Heyy! Saw your post about hyuna, what is the lore with that guy? Besides obviously that he’s a criminal

Idk if this is a genuine question but I'm gonna answer it as such but tldr: I initially said that because people were comparing him to Dawn when him and Hyuna have known each other their entire careers and newer kpop fans don't know who Junhyung is so they are confused wondering how they know each other/calling him a rebound

But 1st Junhyung isn't a criminal, not excusing anything but he was never charged with anything he was a witness and bystander in the Molka situation (which a lot of people are confusing for Burning Sun because they happened around the same time but different situations). Basically Junhyung was friends with Jung Joon Yung (which a lot of people think IS Junhyung but no different guys) who was found to have a group chat spreading around illegal videos taken of men sleeping with women without their consent. Junhyung being friends with him was accused of being in the group chat, he denied it, then when the police got a warrant for his phone history it came out that he WASN'T in the infamous group chat HOWEVER! He was in a solo chat with JJY and was sent an illegal video of him sleeping with a girl. In the end he was a witness and bystander who didn't come forward with that information, which is bad of course.

I have mixed feelings about it because I was a fan of his for over a decade and was extremely disappointed in him. He admitted what he did was wrong and he should've come forward with it when it happened but yeah.... Its just a hard topic I hate him for it but at the same time idk complex feelings

Long post because I ended up writing more than I intended to... but hey 15ish years of history am I right?

Now the LORE with Hyuna and Junhyung is that they debuted around the same time in 4minute and Beast under the same company, Cube. He was featured in her solo debut song: Change. They also were paired together A LOT in Cube family performances because they had similar positions in their group (rappers). They basically became really good friends:

They were so close in a way you don't see kpop idols do now and days with the opposite sex and of course people began to ship them because it seemed like they were flirting.

Then Junhyung began dating Goo Hara and Hyuna joined a sub-unit called Troublemaker with his bandmate at the time, Hyunseung. They kinda cooled on their friendship in the public, probably out of respect for his girlfriend and not wanting to be shipped with his friend. And Hyuna played up a stage relationship with Hyunseung to the point people thought THEY were dating but tbh It was probably an image thing. (funny story Junhyung came up with the name troublemakers lol)

So nothing was seen about them for YEARS even after him and Hara broke up, until like 2016? After 4minute disbanded Hyuna went solo and stayed with Cube, which is a whole long other tangent. But they appeared on a show together called "Happy together". Junhyung hated going on talk/variety shows because he's incredibly shy but he did it for once and it was with Hyuna so it was kind of a big deal. They still appeared close as friends and Hyuna tried to make him feel more comfortable on camera.

Then Hyuna had a show called X19, which is kinda hard to find now and days, but it was a reality show to prepare for her new album. During it she had a meal with Junhyung where they talked openly and you got to see more of their friendship openly for the first time in ages. I mean if you watch that video of them eating I feel like you can tell he had feelings for her idk the way he looked at her... But in that chat they talked about the public pressure to be seen a certain way that is expected of them. For Hyuna it was being hyper sexual in her music and performances because that's what people expected of her. Junhyung says he wishes for her to stop doing what other people want and do what she wanted and that he hoped she could do something she enjoyed. Then she brings up the fact that he had promised to make a song for her (he is a writer, producer and composer) and he says "ah yeah it didn't turn out"

There's a lot more to the lore like other collabs they did, the songs they released that seemed to be about each other (mainly from his side) but that's probably just going into delulu land so I'll avoid that.

the older opted to be a friend rather than a foe so he quickly went up to her and started a conversation post-first performance

the two had a misunderstanding and Sage mistook Heesung's attempt at befriending her for him trying to sabotage her. their “rivalry” continued for a few more weeks ( a couple of episodes ) before the two realized they might debut together and talked it out

Heeseung reminded Sage of one of her best friends from back in New York and she thinks that was why they grew so close in such a short time. 

nowadays Heesung is one of the ones who is very big on making sure Sage is doing alright

being the oldest, even though he doesn’t act it a lot, heesung likes to look after her even more so because she’s the only girl

Segye recognized Hoon mostly for his ice skating days. although she was nowhere near as good or in love with the sport, she did like to stay updated on those around Korea & Sunghoon was included in that.

after realizing that it was him, she quickly struck up a conversation with the boy. this took sunghoon by surprise, being as though she knew him for ice skating, and they had a small conversation about their shared admiration of the sport.

he isn't one to show much affection physically but Sage knows he supports her through his actions

during one of their comebacks sunghoon was stressing out and having a rough time so on the one day they were free she asked him to come out with her, he said yes thinking she was going to the movies or shopping, but she actually took him to an ice rink she rented for a couple of hours so he could have some fun

he even ended up teaching her one of his old routines

funnily enough, these two— at least in my head, are the real-life embodiment of todoroki and izuku from bnha.

because like, at first Sage would just talk and sunghoon would just listen. so much so that while on i-land, a lot of people thought he was just tuning her out. and when sunghoon heard one of them say it, he recapped word for word what Sage said and she was gassed for the rest of the week.

people think sunghoon is completely introverted at first, but Sage is one of the first people he opens up around, revealing his true personality on i-land.

Some Thoughts!

Man, I haven’t done a post like this in a while! But I figured I might as well before I work on one of my numerous WIPs XD

—So, I’ve been back on a Zula Patrol kick like you wouldn’t believe. Though that should be obvious with all the memes I’ve been making, haha! I promise this won’t become a Zula Patrol only blog, haha!

—I’ll be working on building my graphic design/editing skills so I can properly redesign my blogs ^^ You can expect a few graphics throughout the month! :)

—Chapter 4 of The Zula Patrol: Dreamscape Crusade Remastered is also coming along pretty nicely. I’ve been enjoying adding the layers of mystery and horror to the world that Multo ends up in. Oh, and a couple of new characters are making their appearance, too. And that’s all I’m going to say about the subject!

—I’ve also been steadily working on Love Language for the last couple of months. I thought FOR SURE that I’d be posting its first chapter by the end of the month, but life happened—not to mention that I keep coming up with MORE headcanons for Multo and Zeeter that I just have to write down and put in the story. XD Also, the story’s grown to the point where I had to break it up into FIVE chapters, now, with the fifth being the actual conclusion. This story’s been so fun to work on, and I hope you’ll all enjoy it when I finally publish it.

—That being said, I did have a few insecurities regarding the writing of Love Language. I wondered if anybody would actually read this story since 1. ZP isn’t a very well-known cartoon, and 2. Even for rarepair standards, Multo/Zeeter sure seems like it came out of left field. And for about a few weeks, I did leave it alone, out of worry that nobody would read it. But then I came across posts in my feed that said that it’s important to write the stories that you’d like to read, even if they don’t get any readership, because telling your story is what matters. I’ve dealt with this a lot since writing all of my stories, namely my Zula Patrol series. And while I struggle with it occasionally, I’m not going to let that whole “nobody will probably read this” mentality stop me from writing about these goofy aliens, and my favorite opposites-attract ship, of which I’m the sole captain.

—While I’ve been working on Blazin’ Trails content off and on, I’m having a deuce of a time trying to work on the final chapter of the original BT. I’ll literally sit down and open the document, looking for something to leap out at me and inspire me to work…but nothing’s working. And I really want to get things started with Blazin’ Trails Redux as well…*sigh*

—As for Super Why stuff, I’m looking forward to seeing the new shorts that are debuting next month! I got to see the first short, and it’s adorable. And I also can’t wait to see more of Power Paige in action! I just really hope that Woofster and Alpha Pig aren’t written out of the show :(

—Speaking of PBS Kids stuff…I kinda sorta got back into both WordGirl and Arthur. GOD, I feel old! And now, I’m half-tempted to have WG guest star in SRBA like Santiago will. The SRBA ‘verse? More like Into the Reader-verse, LOL XD

—Sodor Magic Crusaders MAY be getting an update in the near future. I thought about working on it for the first time in months, and I remembered that I only have a few episodes left until I can get to write the second season.

—Slowly but surely getting back into Honkai Impact 3rd. I still haven’t gotten a chance to watch the part 2 trailer, but it looks like it’s gonna be interesting!

—One thing’s for sure. Power Paige will definitely appear in the SRBA ‘verse. I just have to figure out what her backstory would be as well as her powers and what kind of fighting style she’d have. I know for sure it won’t be a sword—we already have four sword fighters in SRBA thus far (Super Why, Presto, Muse and Jackson).

—In Super Why news, I HAVE been working on the fifth chapter bit by bit, and I’d like to say that it’s about 65% finished. I don’t think it’ll be quite as long as the last update, but I don’t want to speak too soon ^^;

—I haven’t drawn anime in ages, not since I first started uploading on DeviantArt. And I admit, the pic that I’m going to post of Usagi isn’t the best..but you know what? Screw it! The only way I can improve is to practice, even if it’s wonky or incorrect! ^^

Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective Episode 7 Review - The Observatory Mystery

Now the mysteries have elevated a level as the story’s first locked-room mystery case makes its debut. Ron gets accused of murder and now it’s up to Toto to figure out the culprit on his own! I can’t wait to see Toto to show off his solo sleuthing skills! Finally, a case where Toto won’t be seen as a doofus for once! Let’s see if he’s capable of solving this case without Ron’s help this time around! You can do it, Toto!

Maybe it’s just me, but this whole observatory invitation reeks of suspicious. Was it really Kawasemi who praised Toto to the point that it got him an invitation to an observatory known for a locked room murder case a decade ago? I’m skeptical. It doesn’t help that I suspect two people as possible suspects.

There’s a plethora of new characters, probably the most introduced so far. We got the Director who’s name I forgot. There’s Unno, the chef. Donzawa’s haircut bugs the hell out of me. There’s Orihime the idol (and voiced by a recently graduated AKB48 member too!). There’s Onodera, the astronomy photographer and the victim of the case. Last but not least, there’s John Grizzly, Spitz’s colleague and Ron’s closed room case instructor during his time at BLUE. That’s a lot of people if you also add in Ron and Toto. I think the sudden influx of people for this case brings in the suspense of who could be the culprit of this case as it could be anyone at this point.

Like with Spitz and the hot springs case, I’m actually NOT suspecting that the murderer is John Grizzly. It’s against BLUE’s code to murder and if it was him, then he’d be a hypocrite after all that he said about Ron and the incident that caused him to be expelled from school, the Bloody Training Incident. Also, like with Spitz, Grizzly is way too obvious if he was the murderer, which is why I am ruling him out. Speaking of which, John Grizzly as a character is a bit interesting. He flat out doesn’t like Ron at all as he easily accuses him of being the culprit of the current case and the Bloody Training Incident. Yet, he’s also someone who gives out this information so easily to Toto of all people. I thought BLUE people would be a bit more tight-lipped about confidential matters like this, but I guess not.

Who do I suspect as the culprit? I’ve got two candidates. There’s Unno the chef who could have easily spiked Ron’s brown sugar syrup meal with sleeping medicine and then could have framed him for the murder. Then, there’s the director who brought Toto and Ron to the observatory despite knowing that there was an incident ten years ago and he was the son of the former director. He said that the gun was a replica, but it actually turned out to be a real gun; he could be lying about that—he’s also the only other character who spoke about the gun in the beginning, so he could’ve easily known it was a real pistol. There’s also the matter of the key. He said that the key was gone and it was in Ron’s pocket. Now, I feel like I’m leaning towards the Director as the culprit.

Other than the murder mystery, I do like everything that happened before it too. The way Ron brought a hula hoop was hilarious; he was even hula hooping while being extremely full just so he’d have a feel for what orbiting feels like. Silly Ron. I really liked the meteor shower too! The animation was super pretty! I also really like Toto and Ron’s growing trust in each other. Toto is 100% on Ron’s side; he even tells him that he doesn’t believe he was the culprit for the Bloody Training Incident five years ago. The way Toto exudes hope towards Ron’s plight really makes me want to see how well he’ll solve this case. I’m also glad that Ron is happy that Toto is with him. He’s not a nervous and scared as he was five years ago; he was scared back then because Toto wasn’t there at the time. That was super sweet and romantic, honestly! I ship them!

Given that this case will have multiple parts, I hope that the writing will be good. Also, go check the opening! They updated it again with Torage at the segment just before Ron and Toto meet up and the chorus starts. Who do you think is the culprit?

She was also especially interested in becoming an idol, more specifically an idol rapper, because of 2nd gen girl group 2NE1 (she also had a crush on HyunA, but we don't talk about it). She pretty much knew from an early age that she didn't want to go down the family business route, but arguing was futile, so she sucked it up and studied hard to put her parents' minds at ease. In November of 2017, Eun-Jeong auditioned at many idol companies and was accepted by almost all of them, however, she accepted the offer from MISSMUSE Entertainment because they told her she was guaranteed to debut within a year. At MISSMUSE, she met members, Ae-Cha, Ha-Eun, Aina, and Su-Jin. They all had decent first impressions, but some members later confessed they were ‘scared’ to approach her thanks to her rbf (”I thought she was gonna kill me If I talked to her.” - Su-Jin).

Eun-Jeong's rbf has also gotten her in a lot of trouble with netizens. Antis have overanalysed videos of her literally just sitting there to make it seem like she hates certain idols. What also doesn't help is how straightforward she is, which can sometimes come across as harsh or catty. When indirectly defending herself in a livestream, she said something like, "I don't know how people don't get bored of this," and laughed/scoffed, which made Twitter go crazy for a bit.

Starfleet Year One by Michael Jan Friedman

It is becoming clear to me that the optimum length for a Star Trek novel is around 300 pages. Long enough to tell a story, and short enough to not be cumbersome. This one was interesting, not belonging to any particular Star Trek Series, but instead being unrelated to any on screen character. Let's get into it!

The Author

I wanted to look a little bit into this author because this is his debut on this blog! It appears it won't be his last as he has written a massive number of tie in novels for Trek (around 30 or so). He has also written for a variety of different properties including X-Men, Lara Croft, and Alien. He also co-wrote a Voyager episode ("Resistance" which I remember enjoying quite greatly). His website doesn't contain any really personal details about him that I could find.

The Summary

Okay first we have to get something kind of confusing clear. This book was written and published at least 4 years before Enterprise was airing. The note at the beginning says that this originally was published serially and then expanded and compiled into this novel, so that means that it doesn't line up with the plots of the other books I have read so far. It takes place at the end of the Romulan War (which we just saw in The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm). The final battle takes place at Cheron. This is where we were for tRW:tBtS, so that got me wondering if that was a nod to this book made by Martin or what. Some digging on the Memory Alpha says it was mentioned in ENT as the end of the war, so the only logical conclusion is that the thought originated here and was put into the show and then in tRW:tBtS! Which is so cool and fun. Back to the main point, I am going to consider this a like companion piece to what may have been happening while Archer was doing his own thing. The names of all the Federation representatives are different but oh well! I can hold two truths in my head.

Okay real summary time. On Earthbase 14 we meet Shumar, the current head honcho, his security officer Kelly, Corabyn who is a Rigelian running cargo, and Dane who is a Cochrane pilot running protections for him. They fight of a little Romulan attack. Shortly afterward Six Earth Defense captains go to Cheron in order to put on a final offensive against the Romulans. One doesn't make it but the rest of them get the job done. Some of them are then all tapped to be the beginning of Starfleet after the Federation is created.

It is very clear the fledgling Starfleet needs some soul searching and parameter setting on what it's mission is. They tap three military personas (Matsura, Stiles, and Hagedorn) and three civilian perspectives (Dane, Shumar, and Corabyn) to be Starfleet's first captains. The next generation of ships is being built with the USS Daedalus the first to be ready, and only one of them is going to be in the captain's chair. Whoever gets picked truly sets the tone for the rest of Starfleet, military or science, that's the question.

The captains get their crews together (that need to have an alien quota). They are given current Chrisopher class ships to start getting Starfleet's name out there in the federation. They make decisions more or less along party lines while they are out there, but some of the science minded folk get military experience. The military captains disregard their crew's want to explore and discover. Lot's of tension all around. The captain's run into each other a few times and express (civilly) their different opinions. Corabyn tries to seduce Kelly (for the second time, he tried at the very beginning of the book too).

They are called to the Orieas system as there are human colonies there that recently experienced an attack. The military folk go in there guns blazing looking for the attackers and trying to destroy them. The Starfleet vessels appear to be outmatched by the unknown attackers. Matsura and Shumar figure out the these are the descendants of ancient inhabitants to these world that are upset the colonists disturbed some burials. They find a peaceful solution, and then Matsura is named captain of the Daedalus, but it is clear that they are a team now, bringing different backgrounds to a common goal. Starfleet will have fire power, but pursue peace and science as primary missions.

My Thoughts

I thought this one was great! Characters well defined even though none of them are on screen friends. I was concerned that it was going to feel like these characters were forgettable, but they were each distinct enough that they were memorable. My favorite of the captain's was Corabyn. At some point it is told to him that he only got the job because he was an alien who tolerated and wanted to work with humans. He understood that was the logic behind his placement, but was excited about the opportunity because of his optimism and curiosity. His flirtations with Kelly were also very fun and good.

The conflict was very clear from the beginning, brains vs brawn. There were big power players in the higher ups that each had their reasons for wanting one or the other. I was excited to see how Friedman got us to the Star Trek I know and love. One of exploration and peace seeking. I like thinking of how you go from a military to an organization like this because that is a pivot that we will have to make as a society.

In terms of writing style I enjoyed Friedman's blunt prose as opposed to Martin's more flowery prose. I am excited to see what he does in more established Trek.

I give Starfleet Year One 8/10! Next up is back into Enterprise with Rise of the Federation: A Choice of Futures by Christopher L. Bennett.

Hope this doesn't dredge up any uncomfortable memories you wanted buried. What were the goriest or scariest moments or scenes you've encountered in your years of riffing webcomics?

I don't find gory stuff to be that scary, just kind of gross, but in the world of webcomics gory scenes are often VERY tryhard, especially in the world of Dominic Deegan. That doesn't mean usage of gore doesn't sometimes work, it has to kinda come out of nowhere to be scary.

As for scary scenes, here are five examples off the top of my head. Of course I am discounting most of the unintentionally scary stuff because then this list would be filled with creepy closeups, disturbing chibi faces and World of Friends.

1. The Train Guy's Death from Kit n Kay Boodle

I've listed off this scene so many times now, but it's still probably the most infamous scene from Kit n Kay Boodle outside of the real life arcs. The Train Guy tricks Karastropov to possess him in order to contact Kit and Kay from their secret base, however Karastropov is furious when he learns Train Guy knew them all along, and slowly makes him bleed to death. Such a gory death happening in a mostly-cutesy porn comic is seriously unexpected, which makes it a very memorable scene. I would argue this is one of the few heroes Albert gave an unhappy death, and speaking of Albert, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to quality horror from him.

2. The Infernomancer Jump Scare from Dominic Deegan

Dominic Deegan, like I said, tries so goddamn hard to be scary. Deaths of entire crowds, massive eldritch abominations who speak in EVIL gibberish, demon gods with spikes, horns and EVIL TEETH ABLBLBLBLLALSLLBA, once you've seen one of them you've seen them all. The only time Dominic Deegan was kind of scary was during the "Sin City" arc, where Dominic is stuck in his seer coma thing, and suddenly sees Infernomancer's face. While this scene would be a lot more impactful if we didn't see frequent scenes of him killing people while tracking down Deegan's mother Miranda, it's still a kinda spooky scene. Imagine if a creepy face appeared when your eyes were closed.

3. Trasik's Mysterious Child Trafficking Operation from Alien Dice

When it comes to horror, I prefer when the horror is in form of a question mark. Alien Dice pulled this off really well with Trasik's slave ship, which has an entire section full of children. This scene just spawns many questions, until this point we thought Trasik was just a generic determinator obsessed with hunting down and killing Lexx but this whole, concept implied she is more twisted than that. It's one of the few times I was genuinely concerned over a fictional villain's motivations. Later of course some of the mystery was removed when we learned that Trasik just trains these kids to be soldiers and...wait, what happened to these kids? What the hell Tiffany? When are you going to answer that question?

4. Austin's fucked up trilogy from Carnivores

As ridiculous as Carnivores is, sometimes Austin's mind can go off the deep end. First one of these was the Bear Arc, which at first seemed to be a generic "large animals torture a bunch of bipedals" arc, but then it takes a hard left turn when a black lion shows up out of nowhere and eats someone's soul, and somehow it manages to be just as painful as the usual eating scenes in the comic. Then we have "Lion Named Lab" which should really be called "Blue Fox kills everyone", as he kills not only Austin and Lab, but also his minion gnolls. Thankfully the whole thing turns out to be a weird Night Tremor. Same can't be said for Death Note parody arc, which starts off as an unfunny parody but then turns into another "Everybody Dies" arc where the previously comedic Ryuk murders the entire cast, many of these characters originally debuting in earlier arcs. There was no real purpose to it, it just happened. These stories were so goddamn morbid, even with the terrible artstyle and bad writing. I almost have to compliment Austin for that, but I think he needs counceling.

5. Too Many Things from Gene Catlow

If there is one thing Albert is good at writing, it's horror, and I don't just mean unintentional horror. It's so fucking bizarre because this comic tries to appeal to kids and kid-adjacent people every other second, and then you get scary ass imagery out of nowhere that end as soon as they began. We've got skeletons dragging a bunch of puppets into the sand, creepy CGI cats that stalk their victims, Cotton turning into a corpse after acting the Sight of the Soul, Horton being mindraped by his own puppet's ghosts, Michelle's first appearance, Karlsson and Matt's temporary corpses, Borzoi somehow being bloodier than fucking Train Guy after Matt tormented him and most recently, a psychological horror show between Carson and Forzoi. Albert could've probably written a better horror comic than Dave Hopkins.

My Truths...

What is Shipping: Shipping is the desire by followers of fandom for two or more people, either real-life people, artists, idols, actors, and/or actresses, celebrities, or fictional characters, to be in a romantic or sexual relationship. Shipping has been the basis of hate, threats to the artists, sexualizing artists, and editing of artists' photos and videos which has caused shipping wars. The KPOP entertainment industry in South Korea has started to file lawsuits and criminal charges for defamation, misinformation, and threats to their artists which some call idols. If I am repeating this... so be it... Jimin and Jungkook (#Jikook, #Minkook, #Kookmin) do not need to be shipped, because they tell their own Truths. A lot of you think most of the videos out there are created by shippers but they are NOT! They are created by fans who love Jikook and they show their truths!

I don't believe in anything until I do my research. So, I started at the beginning of BTS member's trainee days and after they debuted. I watched the reaction of each member about how touchy they were with one another. I also researched that and learned about the culture of skin-ship between male2male female2female in South Korea. Their parents or family raise females and males that the body is sacred and has certain morals. Females and males learned that they couldn't touch each other until they are married. When BTS did the touchy, sleeping in the same bed, and hugging was okay for them. The ones that stood out to me the most are Jimin and Jungkook, looking like angelic babies. I also know that Jimin and Taehyung were good friends in High School. Taehyung saved Jimin from bullies. Different things start catching my eye even when Taehyung was hanging out with Jimin and Jungkook. Teenagers will be teenagers with roughhousing and all of that. (I raised three sons by myself). I started to research again on YouTube this time and noticed titles named "TaeKook and JiKook." I was watching the Taekook videos first. I notice many discrepancies between what I have already seen from the BTS Runs, Bangtan Bombs, their concerts, and V-Lives. I switched up to watching the Jikook videos and noticed they enjoyed Jimin and Jungkook from everything that I witnessed from other fans. I viewed different types of Jimin and Jungkook videos where they were analyzing them like being the CIA or FBI. I used to holler and throw my shoe at the TV, saying, "Leave them be," "Let them be who they are." I stopped watching the analyzing videos and started to watch the Jimin and Jungkook videos that fans were enjoying Jimin and Jungkook from names such as “Borahae Saranghae," "Army Luv," and "Jimin and Jungkook Luv." Then there was MizGator, who said it all for me. I agreed with everything she put out there. I was alarmed because it became so wrong from what I was watching from the fans who call themselves Taekookers, so I decided to look up the meaning of shipping. I said to myself, okay, that's what the Taekookers did. They developed "Fake Intimate Love" delusions between Jungkook and Taehyung. Then the threats of Jimin started. It's like demons came out of a deep hole in the ground to coerce and intimidate BTS members and other fans. These obsessed fans of Taehyung and Jungkook (not all of them) do NOT care who they hurt just as long as their illusions exist for them. I believe they are not true fans of Taehyung. I even read reports where the sasaengs of Taehyung would fight and bully other teen girls at a South Korean school if their biases were Jimin and Jungkook. I thought it was just the teenagers, but then it was grounds for adult harassers to bully the fans of Jimin and Jungkook on social media platforms or Jimin alone.

NOTE: There is also SOOP (pronounced soup) when I learned that Jungkook and Taehyung met after Jungkook was tricked by Jimin and it was said by Jungkook that they were not as close as they were after they debuted for like four years. Taehyung agreed. Taehyung and Jungkook said that they would start talking and doing things more with each other, but Jungkook said that they will never be close as they were before. I also know things changed between Jimin and Jungkook after their Tokyo trip; it seemed to me that their friendship grew stronger. Every one of the BTS7 is unique in their personality and way of life. When they entertain ARMIES across the globe, they become one! I am ARMY from the USA, and I love BTS with everything I am.

Addendum: Don't think I resent or hate Taehyung for his actions with Jungkook. I love Taehyung for his baritone voice and dance. My grandmother taught me never to hate a person but to hate their bad behavior. I did get kind of upset with Taehyung as he went on VLive to say Jimin was supposed to come and that he felt Jungkook was keeping him away. I became disappointed. I did feel that Taehyung was feeding his fandom, not intentionally but what he said was directing his fans toward Jimin becoming vengeful. Taehyung did that twice in his V-Lives. Those two V-Lives had his crazy fans turned sasaengs and went after Jimin with harmful malicious threats. ARMY who are on Social Media platforms had to defend, protect, proving sasaengs posts are lies and the many threats from sasaengs we reported.

No one has to agree with how I think. We all have our opinion because we are all different. But your honesty and truth should be priorities and know the difference between delusions and illusions. Know that delusions or illusions are nothing but fiction (lies). Please don't say I shouldn't feel that or tell me what I need to say. I'm addressing everyone in how I think. If you want to express how you feel, please do so. My education on BTS includes my research of each member (which provides for their behavior with each other), the South Korean cultures, definitions of words, their morals, and honorifics. I also educated myself on LGBTQ communities and the behaviors of the citizens that reside in South Korea. In my research, I found that a soulmate in South Korea means significant other. Example: When parents or family members introduce a person to a family member to be their soulmate (significant other), it is for marriage. For me, that means that Taehyung and Jimin are NOT soulmates but good friends. A soulmate may mean something different in your culture, but BTS is from South Korea, and I feel we need to respect their culture. If you call yourselves a fan and love BTS then we need to support and protect them 100% regardless of your biases. I also found that most or not all K-netizens or Netizens can be problematic to all artists in the entertainment field. The other thing that I found is that LGBTQ communities are not protected in South Korea because their laws are not there to protect gay communities. Another find is that suicide is rated #4 worldwide with very high suicide between seniors and young folks between 13-28 years of age. We need to do better, and we need to be more careful and stop bullying others on social media platforms.  If you see it than it becomes your responsibility to report the hate and threats.  Don’t turn a blind eye against maliciousness.  I’m out BTSARMY from Colorado USA.

You know what i get it yeah when it comes to members in groups that get super popular. It basically happens in every single group, it’s almost unavoidable (and don’t come at me saying any insert group bc you know that’s a lie). I know when it can get super biased towards one member and a company pushes them to the front and center too much it can cause not just a rift between fans but also within members themselves. Like obviously, I can totally see why a company would want to capitalize on a member’s fame because logically it makes the most sense. More exposure to them means more money, but if there’s anything i learned about trickle down economics (is that it’s a fucking joke) is that this kinda thing doesn’t work in the long term for the benefit of an entire group. This kind of dynamic has no right way to go about it, but it needs the cooperation of the whole group for it to work. Popular members NEED to also advocate for their peers and set it straight. The times i see this happen in real life I find generally really benefits the whole group. They gain more respect from their fans and their other members get appreciation. But anyways that’s just a small little anecdote. Not super well thought out, but there’s probably more i could say but yeah.

As soon as the morning meeting was over I got told to go to outbound shipping. This is the best process to be put in because it’s the least amount of work and there’s no interference or monitoring from team leaders. However it’s it’s also the most boring work too because all it involves standing at the bottom of a troth with lists of chutes above it from which packages slide down and you have to walk up and down waiting for the packages co no img down and then place them into a trolley which get taken to the trucks for delivery. Throughout the course of a typical day there’s maybe two or three busy periods where there’s loads of packages dropping own but for the most part you get maybe one every two or three minutes so you really have to rely on your imagination to distract you from the sheer boredom. Sometimes I finish a shift and have no idea how I’ve managed to pass a full 10 and a half hours just by talking to myself without going insane. Then I remember that throughout the previous 10 hours I didn’t have to talk to any fuckwits on the phone and that usually makes me feel much better. Speaking of cunts after work I got the number 4 bus to the bus station, arrived a full 19 minutes before my connecting Number 56 was due to arrive…and the cunt never turned up. I was stood walking around the bus station in the freezing cold for a full 30 minutes before the next bus arrived. Seriously fuck the bus company. If Vladimir Putin visited the Uk and for whatever reason had to use our public transport I think he’d be straight in the phone telling his troops to get the fuck out of Ukraine and to start firing shells at the Stagecoach headquarters instead.

Tuned into the New Japan Cup Night One. The first match of the tournament was Tetsuya Naito vs El Phantasmo. I've really grown to like Phantasmo. When he first debuted I thought he was an indyrific geek who was nothing special in the ring but his in ring has really improved as has his trash talk. He never misses an opportunity to taunt the crowd or his opponents. He's not as good at it as Jay White but he's still a major highlight in New Japan these days. There was a cool moment where ELP went for a cartwheel into the corner and Naito got his feet up just in time. Another impressive spot was where Naito countered a powerbomb into a DDT. The finish came when Naito quickly countered CR2, ELP's cross armed Styles Clash and rolled him up. Just before this ELP kicked out of Naito's finisher which was cool as he was able to look strong even in defeat. I love Naito but I've been getting serious boredom vibes from him over the last two years. He looks like he's realized he's done everything worth doing in New Japan and is just going through the motions at the moment until he's got enough money to retire. The main event was Taichi vs Sanada. Since the breakup of Suzuki-Gun, Taka Michinoku, Taichi, Douki and Kanemaru have remained together under the name "Just 4 Guys" which sounds like a knockoff hair re-growth foam. I'd always hoped that one day Taichi would get his own heel stable but I meant being passed to torch by Suzuzki to lead "Taichi-Gun" not Suzuki-gun going bust and Taichi being saddled with the three jobbers (Actually that's not fair Taka and Douki are very good). I've just realized that Sanada is Japanese Wheeler Yuta. Taichi dominated the opening bulk of the match but got too cocky, constantly taunting and patronizing Sanada which sent him into a rage and ended with Taichi being pildriven on the floor, evening the pace of the match. Sanada ended up getting the win after hitting his new finisher which is a swinging reverse STO into a DDT. Sanada finally has a finisher move that doesn't look fucking stupid.

Online shipping, the fetishisation of gay men, and the romanticisation of queer trauma

So I was on a lovely website by the name of Twitter.com yesterday, just scrolling through while having my afternoon cup of coffee, when I saw that viral post of a girl reading a Larry fanfic through a classroom projector. I'm sure most of you have seen it. It's gone viral on Instagram, TikTok, and likely Tumblr too, and if you haven't come across it I'm positive you will soon.

Now, after getting through my initial reaction to that post which was, holy fuck, that's so embarrassing, I had a second reaction of... wait, this ship is still around?

And after I had some thoughts on the incredible permanence of some online ships and the weird obsolescence of others, I did get to thinking of how lots of these popular ships seem to stem from the same types of perceived relationship dynamics and homophobic stereotypes.

These online fandoms often seem to have an obsession with objects of queer trauma, such as having to hide a relationship, lying about sexuality for self-preservation, and even social rejection. So, after some opinions from my followers and the great archive that is the internet, I've decided to discuss some of the most popular examples of online shipping and the particular nuances they came with.

NOTE: Out of respect for all these people, I won't be sharing viral images or videos of them in perceived romantic proximity (or even kissing, as is applicable for some examples), but I will be describing certain moments I deem to be relevant. So even if you're unfamiliar with them, you won't be confused as to what I'm talking about.

NOTE 2: Although not all people within these fandoms were/are toxic, this essay is focused on the overall toxicity of the fandoms, and how they are toxic more so as a "hive" than as a group of individuals. When I refer to a fandom I don't mean every person involved in the fandom, but rather the collective impact of the group.

 1. Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson 

This is arguably the most popular example of online shipping. The absolute permanence of this ship, and how its fandom never seems to fully die off even beyond the lifespan of One Direction as it once stood, is downright impressive.  

I'm going to be the first to admit I was never in the loop with this fandom. My childhood best friend was actually a massive Larry shipper and asked me to beta read one of her fics, but that was before I even knew who tf Harry and Louis were! Not because I avoided the fandom or even because I rejected the online shipping, but just by coincidence, I delved into the world of pop punk music right when One Direction began gaining its popularity. I bought my first ever album, Riot by Paramore, in 2011- only a year after One Direction made their X-Factor debut. So, this fandom just bypassed me by a sort of weird coincidence.

But I don't need to be in the loop with this fandom to know the astronomical obsession with these two men, no, these two BOYS, was extremely toxic. In 2010, when One Direction made their debut, Harry Styles was only 16 years old. And Louis Tomlinson wasn't much older at 19! This made the two of them incredibly young when this unprecedented wave of shipping hit the internet, and although that must be traumatising for anyone, I cannot even fathom how overwhelming it must've been for two boys that young.  

I'm 18, almost 19 now, and I cannot begin to imagine how scary it was for the two of them to have their every interaction nitpicked within an inch of its life by thousands upon thousands of people online. I do not know this myself, but from numerous recounts by some of my followers, this massively impacted Harry's and Louis' nondescript relationship in real life, seemingly driving the two previously close friends apart. 

Now, before we move on, there's something we need to talk about. And that is the obsession with the dominance/submission dynamic within the world of gay shipping. 

With almost every popular mlm (an acronym meaning man-loving-man) ship based on real people, it seems that fandoms have a particular fascination with power imbalances in these relationships. You don't even need to look at the insane amount of fanfictions based on BDSM to figure this out. In almost all of the examples I'll be citing today, there is an age gap within the perceived relationship and a person the fandom has seemingly decided to be the top/dominant figure. 

Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are 3 years apart in age. Although it isn't all that relevant now, an age gap of 3 years when you're in your late teens is a lot more significant. In 2012, for example, when this shipping really started gaining traction, Harry Styles was 18 and Louis Tomlinson was 21. That power imbalance, albeit not that significant, is enough for a fandom to latch on to. We'll see this a lot more in the coming example with Dan and Phil.

 2. Dan Howell and Phil Lester

It's impossible to have a discussion about internet shipping without talking about Dan and Phil.

 Dan Howell and Phil Lester, although being popular YouTubers individually, are arguably one of the internet's most iconic duos. The two creators published their first videos together in 2009, and while their relationship was already a motive of speculation back then, the peak of the "Phan" shipping definitely came in the 2013-2016 era of Tumblr.

Now, I'm going to admit… I was actually on Tumblr when that happened. 

The 2013-2016 period perfectly aligns with my middle school days (I started middle school in 2013 and high school in 2016), and I was not only on Tumblr back then, but I was on Wattpad too! Again, this wasn't a fandom I had much contact with as I had a huge anime phase in middle school and I was on Tumblr posting mainly photography and Soul Eater content more than anything. 

But I did watch some of Dan and Phil's videos! And the occasional "Phan" content did not completely evade me as one of my closest friends in middle school had a fanchat for them. I wasn't involved in the fandom myself but they were actually one of the few English-speaking YouTubers I watched once in a blue moon (back then I watched mainly Brazilian YouTubers). One thing I did in fact notice over the years, around 2014ish perhaps, was that the two of them seemed to grow increasingly "awkward" around each other, in a way that many folks on the internet thought was reminiscent to Markiplier/Jacksepticeye, two YouTubers who also dealt with extraordinary amounts of shipping.

I'm not the only one who thinks this. The change in Dan and Phil's relationship, at least to the outside world, was clear to almost anyone who watched their videos for a while. I cannot blame them at all. The shipping was nuts. Between the countless fan videos, speculative comments, and insurmountable number of fanfics, there's no way the two of them didn't feel the weight of the shipping. The term "demon phannie" made its way into internet vernacular and there it stayed for years. Even Shane Dawson, who was one of the largest creators on the platform at the time, made several videos speculating on the nature of Dan and Phil's relationship and their sexual orientations. 

There was even porn made in which actors with similar appearances to the creators were made to have sex on camera. 

Now, this is actually a rare example where the two people involved in the ship actually came out as gay once the shipping seemed to die down. I'm incredibly happy Dan and Phil both reached a point where they were comfortable being publicly out, but I hate to say I'm shocked this day ever came. If I'd gone through what the two of them did, I don't know if I'd ever trust the internet. 

And again, this ship's fandom definitely had an obsession with the power dynamics they thought existed between the people within the ship. Dan Howell is 4 years younger than Phil Lester, and was only 18 in 2009, when they started making videos together. From my personal understanding, the shipping was often quite focused on this dominant/submissive dynamic especially in discussions from their early relationship. And this is in no way exclusive to Dan and Phil.

This general fascination with the older man/younger man dynamic, in my opinion, plays into the homophobic stereotype that gay men are predators. The idea that gay men usually seek younger men, and somehow "convince" them to engage in homosexual relationships, is popular homophobic rhetoric. The popularisation, exaggeration, and fetishisation of these power imbalances, in age and/or in relationship dynamics, is directly harmful to the mlm community. 

Not only that, but the romanticisation of a "hidden/forbidden relationship" is also detrimental not only to gay men and the mlm community, but to queer people as a whole. Queer people face huge trauma having to hide their relationships; queer attraction is already a societal taboo. And acting like this is good, or even desirable, is harmful to queer people as a whole, regardless of whether or not it's actually applicable to the people being shipped. It normalises this trauma not only to cisgender, heterosexual people, but to impressionable queer youth who grow to believe this type of trauma is to be expected. 

3. Frank Iero and Gerard Way

This is another example where the perceived power imbalances between the two subjects of the shipping were directly exploited online. Now, this ship did precede the others mentioned above. If we're looking at this topic chronologically, this particular ship did come first in the shipping timeline. It's closer to the origin of the shipping extended universe, if you will.

In case you aren't familiar with them, Frank Iero and Gerard Way are both members of the American emo band My Chemical Romance. This ship is the first one here of which I don't recall the full popularity. It really peaked in popularity around the late 2000s, circa 2008. And I don't remember this moment online as in 2008, I was only 6 years old and believe it or not, I wasn't really all that concerned with rumoured homoeroticism as a first grader. 

However, the popularity of this ship did carry over into the 2013-2015 Tumblr shipping boom. The emo fandom (or "bandom" as it was called) involving not only My Chemical Romance but other similar bands such as Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Pierce the Veil, found its hub on Tumblr. 

During this time, I did in fact listen to this style of music, but was focused a lot more on the anime side of Tumblr as mentioned earlier. Of course, I wasn't 13 years old like, "hey, this type of content might be harmful and can inadvertently perpetuate homophobic stereotypes," I just happened to care more about my silly little anime and ended up not getting involved. 

This ship does involve a discussion that the others don't, however. With Frank Iero and Gerard Way, there is quite often a certain sentiment of, "Oh, they brought this upon themselves!" as the two band members very famously kissed during a show in 2007. In my opinion, though, this doesn't really justify all the obsessive shipping. If you look at Green Day, a band often grouped in with MCR as another famous pop punk group, the members don't follow too different of a trajectory. Billie Joe Armstrong has, on numerous occasions, kissed both of his fellow band members onstage- particularly Tré Cool, the drummer. And Billie Joe Armstrong is openly bisexual, which none of the members of MCR seem to be but some, or even all of Billie's bandmates, are too. 

You'd think Green Day would face a lot more shipping as the more persistent onstage homoeroticism and Billie Joe's openness about his sexuality would warrant more "substantiated" speculation. However, Green Day faces nowhere near as much shipping as My Chemical Romance. Why is this? I actually don't know. It might've been because Green Day has been around for over a decade longer and generally has an older fandom, but I really am not that sure. 

 It could also be because of the lower lack of potential for forced relationship dynamics. The members of Green Day are all less than a year apart in age and are even similar in height. However, Frank Iero is 4 years younger than Gerard Way, who is not only the frontman of My Chemical Romance, but also considered to be the group's intellectual and creative "leader". Even beyond that, Gerard Way is quite visibly taller, and the perceived power difference between the two of them definitely did not elude their fans. 

This difference could even be partly due to the lack of a "mystery" with Green Day. There's not as much to speculate as, well… the members of Green Day are already open about their sexual orientations. It might be that shipping in the Green Day fandom has less of a forbidden appeal for most people. 

Of course, I won't just keep repeating myself, but my previous points about forced relationship dynamics still stand.

4. Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch

Better known for their roles in BBC Sherlock as Sherlock and Watson, Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch unfortunately had their roles follow them well into real life. This is the example I know least about, so have these thoughts from a follower by the name of @indubitably-a-goblin, who had the following to say:

"the main issues i had with it were:

a) they were both married at the time, freeman to amanda abbington and cumberbatch to sophie hunter (in which both had children)

b) the main reasoning for it was their chemistry in the many projects they've done together. which is, shockingly, their Whole Job. They're actors! That's what they're supposed to do! if they weren't good at interacting then they wouldn't be good actors! i don't know how people can't understand this.

c) they're real people. we don't know them. we aren't friends with them. we aren't their family members. we have zero right to be pushing this onto them and ruining their friendship by doing so. (this one relates to most of the ships you've mentioned though)

d) healthy friendships between two men are ignored so plainly in most medias and in fandom. its obvious that these two men have a relationship, but that doesn't mean it's a romantic one.

e) its fine to ship their characters, but actors shouldn't be treated as less-than-human or some sort of prop. they're doing a job, and once they are off-screen, they aren't here for your entertainment."

I believe she did a great job of summing it up on her own, and for the sake of avoiding redundancy, I'll leave it at that!

5. Corpse Husband and Sykkuno- an emerging yet subtle example

I am absolutely positive you remember how popular the game Among Us was a couple of months ago. And with the popularity of this game, some of its most prominent content creators became the targets of online shipping- as is the case with YouTubers and streamers Corpse Husband and Sykkuno. 

Although the shipping involving these two creators is nowhere near as strong as it was/is with the examples above, I do think there is once again a reemergence of a common theme here. Whilst Sykkuno is known for his happy-go-lucky, almost "innocent" persona, Corpse Husband is the antithesis of this, known for his much darker and moodier personality. 

Do I even have to mention what the common theme seems to be?

Again, although the popularity of shipping - at least with real people - seems to have died down a bit since the Tumblr shipping boom of the early to mid 2010s, I do believe this example is worth mentioning. Even though the creators are still close, they have in fact expressed discomfort regarding the shipping, and I can only hope the internet as a whole lets their friendship blossom and exist naturally without obsessive speculation. 

My final thoughts

As explored in the essay:

The romanticisation of objects of queer trauma as a part of online shipping normalises queer trauma to both cishet and queer youth. 

Online shipping, especially at a high intensity, can end up negatively impacting the very relationships they pine over. 

The relationship dynamics often forced on mlm ships perpetuate homophobic stereotypes about non-heterosexual men.

"You're stating the obvious, but that's them!" People could be heard fussing about the singer. Well, who wouldn't be excited when a famous person could be a few meters away from you? Your appearance in Paris isn't what you really thought about or even your goal to begin with. You're here because of someone you knew for a long time, and you can't wait to meet her again.

"We're here, let's go. We have a hotel reservation at 3:00 this afternoon, we can't be late." Your manager said while picking up her things. Your bodyguard on the other hand is already holding your bags. "Thank you." You smiled at him and faced your manager. "What time is it, Bellum?" "It's already 1:40." He responded after looking at his watch. You left the airport after double checking your things and head straight to the popular hotel in the city, Le Grand Paris.

You told the hotel staffs that you don't want anyone to know you're staying there. You want to keep your stay lowkey as possible until the days nearing the concert. Well, you went there ahead of time, not following the schedule designed for you. After your team finalized your world tour, according to them: Paris, France would be the last destination. You were ecstatic about the news, and couldn't wait to visit. So, as soon as you finished the recent concert, you flew all the way to Paris.

Once you reached your destination, your manager checked in for you while you stayed in the car. He came to pick you up after and you went to your room. "Finally, a bed." You flopped on the bed and it was so comfortable to the point of falling asleep in a span of minutes. "What's on the schedule today?" You faced your manager. "Wow, that's a first." "I-I mean, I'm inviting you to a get together, 'cause my friends will perform their song at Liberty this evening. You'll enjoy it for sure." "Liberty?" You asked, confused by her response at you. You were startled when she face palmed herself hard. "What am I doing?! They have a busy schedule!" She started talking to herself which disturbed you a little bit. "Hey, what's Liberty?" You spoke trying to break her out of her rambling state. "Well, it's a name of a boat my two friends live in. They're into music, so there are music performances on the boat quite often."

Well, there's no harm in joining a get together. But, you're just new here, no one would know what might happen. Also, her invite seems legit, it must be nice to party on a boat while there's live music. Eh, you're still not so sure. What if she'll trick you into coming on a secluded area and take your organs? Now, you finally made up your mind.

"I'm totally going."

"Come on, Bell. I'll only be there for a couple of hours." You begged your manager to let you go. "Nuh uh." "Puh-leaaaase?" "Nope." "I promise, this'll be a one time thing." You finished signing their albums and offered to take a group photo.

Isn't your concert will be in three days?" Zoé asked you. "Well, I missed you, of course. When you left New York, I began to miss our time together." Zoé chuckled at your response. "That sounds childish." "I'm serious, you were my only friend in New York, Zo." You held her hand and smiled at her. You swear you could see her cheeks tinted in pink.

"(Y/n), sing!" Marinette and her friends asked you to sing your songs but you promised you'll only sing one and keep the others for your concert. Bellum would scold you for sure if he heard that. Everyone cheers at you and admire your voice. "She is real." Juleka uttered "What did you expect? An illusion?" The others laughed at Alya's comment.

You swore that was the best night of your life, thank goodness you agreed to go.

You spent the remaining days before your concert with Zoé touring Paris. You're always in a disguise so not so many people would recognize you. You also left your bracelet at the hotel, you didn't know you could be recognized by that. "I'm glad I could be here with you in Paris." Zoé spoke while leaning on the railings on the top of the Eiffel tower. "Are you not going back to New York?" "I may not be, I found my comfort here in Paris. I met new friends and I could express myself freely." She smiled while gazing at the night view from up there. You could see that she's happy here than when she was in New York.

You smiled sadly, you never saw her this happy. You only have a limited time here in Paris and it's not enough for you. At this moment, you're desiring to be with her and stay by her side. You always knew your feelings for her ever since you became her friend but you didn't want to confess because you're afraid that it might cost your friendship. But you're not that (Y/n) anymore, you've waited for so long of keeping your feelings to yourself. Now that you've met again, it's time for you to tell it.

"Zoé." You spoke breaking the silence. "Yes?" she looked at you, waiting for your response. "I wanna confess something, I've been waiting to say this for a long time and I think it's time. You both went home that time, you walked her to her room and then you finally entered your own room. You flopped on the bed and waited for tomorrow's event. You slept soundly that night, might be the most memorable night that happened here in Paris, and of course in your life.
