The first few weeks after the cancelled date with Wade, Peter checked his phone at least once every ten minutes out of both hope and habit and every time it was only Gwen texting some bullshit or Harry demanding he come over and watch something, or even occasionally Flash who was working on reaching out to people again.��

It was never Wade though, and it took most of Peter’s self control to not text over and over and try to establish some sort of conversation, some sort of connection, some sort of anything resembling the camaraderie they had found and lost so unexpectedly.

The next few weeks were filled with appointment after appointment, Peter filling his book full in an effort to distract himself from how badly he missed Wade. He worked double shifts for the Bugle, booked massage appointments as early as seven am and as late as ten pm and the few minutes he had of downtime were spent sleeping.

“I said be his friend, not become a hermit!” Gwen smacked Peter with a magazine before flopping onto his couch and shoving her feet into his lap. “Foot rub please, I spent eighteen hours marching outside Hammer Tech yesterday and my feet are killing me.”

“What did Hammer Tech do this time?” Peter sent off a confirmation email for an appointment later that week and began rubbing at Gwen’s feet. “And holy crap, eighteen hours? Gwen--”

“Flash had a bad day.” Gwen’s blue eyes dimmed in sadness. “Threw something at me when I let myself into the apartment and then later called me crying from the hospital. He checked himself in because he doesn’t think he’s okay and he won’t let me come see him. So eighteen hours at a protest was about the only thing I could handle.”

“Sorry, honey.” Peter murmured. “I get it.”

“Yeah, except you’re being smart about dealing with your broken heart.” Gwen scoffed. “You’re actually making money while distracting yourself. I’m walking through my shoes and probably giving myself knee problems.”

“You’re making a difference, I’m saving for a trip to the Caribbean.” Peter shrugged. “It’s sort of the same thing, right?”

“It’s not the same thing at all.” Gwen snapped her magazine open and sighed. “So no word from your Special Forces Wonder Boy?”

“Nothing.” Peter shot a look at his phone. “You think I did the right thing, texting him?”

“I think it’s too late to care either way.” she answered promptly. “You sent it, it’s done. He will either text you or he won’t. Whether it was the right thing or not, you won’t know until he answers, and even then? Just because he answers doesn’t mean it was the right thing. You just don’t know, Pete and I don’t know either.”

And then in a softer tone than Peter had ever heard, “Don’t think I know much about anything these days.”

“Well you know you want to take down Hammer Tech.” Peter comforted and Gwen switched gears immediately, pumping her first into the air and exclaiming, “I think I’m getting close to being slapped with a restraining order! Fun stuff, right?”

“Right.” Peter shook his head with an exasperated grin, and then stole one more look at his dark phone. “Whatever you say, Gwen.”

“So I got asked out on a date a couple months ago.” Wade stared down at his clasped hands and forced the words out slow and steady. “Actually, I should back up. I ended up um… making friends with someone over the last few months. He kept joking about asking me out and then he finally did and I sort of uh--”

He stopped, swallowed, and someone in the group murmured something encouraging. “I uh-- well I freaked out. Worked myself into a panic attack and said some pretty stupid things about not wanting to be-- to be his project--” a ripple of understanding from everyone gathered. “--and that was that.”

“Alright.” Sam Wilson, former paratrooper, veteran, certified counselor and probably one of the best people Wade had ever met, clicked his pen a few times as he looked down at his notes. “So when you say that was that, what do you mean? Did you tell him not to call anymore? Did you tell him to leave you alone? Or did he get mad and walk away?”

It took a moment, but Wade answered, “He didn’t get mad. He just left.”

“Sometimes that’s worse.” a woman spoke up from Wade’s left, the skirt of her dress pulled all the way to the floor to hide her prosthesis. “Sometimes when they just leave instead of arguing to keep you, it feels worse.”

“Okay, but I think we can all agree that it’s better to have our boundaries respected and left alone, than trod over in a well meaning but usually terrible attempt to make us comfortable, right?” Sam said calmly. “Wade, would you have rather your friend have stayed and tried to argue with you?”

“...no…” Wade hesitated. “No, I think it would have made everything worse. I was basically ready to hyperventilate and I guess him being calm-- I can’t say it helped, but it's probably better that he left. I don't respond real well to people pushing my comfort levels."

“I remember.” Sam smiled a little, but didn’t bring up how Wade had freaked out at the first group therapy a month ago and snapped a chair over his knee before storming out. “So how do you feel about the cancelled date now that it's been a few weeks?”

“...empty.” Wade dropped his head again, and the guy sitting next to him put a friendly, if not cautious hand on his shoulder. “I just feel empty. Not relieved the pressure is gone, not breathing easier cos I don’t have to think about being presentable in public or keeping my shit together long enough for a date.”

He waited a beat and then added in a very small voice, “I just feel empty. Like I missed the one and only chance I’m gonna get to find love.”

“I hear that.” Someone else spoke up and it made Wade feel less on the spot to know he wasn’t the only one going through this. “It’s been months since I got asked out, and last time it happened, I turned them down and they were real nice about, promised to call and ask again, but then they never did. They never tried to connect with me again. At the time I was relieved, but now it just feels like that was my one shot to be normal again and I blew it. Lost my chance."

“Here’s the thing about normal.” Sam cleared his throat and gentled his tone. “This is normal, guys. Me not being able to fly anymore after losing Riley, that’s normal. Tasha having an issue with the dark? Normal. Wade, your days of modeling buck ass naked for the annual edition of Special Forces Uncovered are over--” Wade and another ex Special Forces guy managed a laugh and Sam grinned.

“-- those days are gone and now your new normal includes wearing specific materials that don’t hurt your skin, and that's fine. What we all have going on right now? This is normal. The past is the past, this is now and this is normal and it’s gonna be hard to move forward if we’re stuck thinking about what used to be.”

“There are some people who look at us and see our trauma and see a fix-it, a project.” Sam said truthfully. “And there will be others who will realize that our normal is a lot more difficult than their normal and not want to deal with it. But not everyone will be like that. Someone will think our normal is perfectly fine, perfectly doable and those are the people we should hold on to.”

Group therapy let out close to an hour later and Sam stopped Wade before he left, asking, “You seem like you’re doing a lot better Wade, how’s things outside of here?”

“Bout the same.” Wade put his beanie on and slid into gloves, trying to cover as much skin as possible for the dozen or so blocks he had to walk to his place. “I’m getting out to see a massage therapist now instead of having one come to my house, I’m walking to and from therapy instead of hiding in a cab-- same old, same old.”

“And the friend who asked you out?” Sam prompted. “Do you still talk to him? Didn’t want to ask in group in case it was too emotional but I wanted to check anyway.”

“I don’t talk to him.” Wade blew out a deep breath. “I uh-- I didn’t delete his number but he might have deleted mine, and I think I’d actually lose my mind if I texted him and got one of those stupid ‘new phone, who dis’ texts back.”

“Alright, first of all, we’re all adults here and I think we stopped texting that bullshit after college.” Sam joked and Wade smiled a little. “Second of all, just based on what you’ve told me about the guy, I highly doubt he’s lost your number. I think you’ve made some great steps towards personal healing lately, and if you think you can handle it, a little closure on that whole deal might not be the worst.”

“I’ll think about it.” Wade zipped his coat clear up to his neck. “Thanks Sam.”

“Take it easy, Wade.”

Dear Misha Collins

I don't think you know how to handle your career. There are mistakes that you are making to your own detriment. I am doing the decent thing here by pointing them out to you. When you are an actor, you are the salesman and the product. These two elements are a benefit to an actor when he manages these two things cleverly, which you have not done. These two elements are symbiotic. You need them both. And the dominant element is the salesman. If the product is good, but the salesman sucks, the product is not appreciated.

Take Sam and Dean Winchester as a good example. Sam is a flawed hero. He is also, to an extent in the earlier seasons, something of an anti-hero although not a full blown villain. Dean wasn't as flawed and his swashbuckling gung-ho nature was easier to enjoy than Sam's pensiveness. Those who didn't know much about the BTS of the show in the early season, latched on to the lead characters. At that time they didn't know the actors. For many of them, Sam appeared kind of self-righteous and grumpy. Yes, he was handsome, but so was Dean who are the more funnier, showier character, so it was easy to latch onto him. Dean also bonds with other characters faster than Sam does.

When the first cons were held, people were enthusiastic about meeting the actors who play Sam and Dean expecting the actors to be exactly like their characters. When they realized that Jared is absolutely nothing like his character and was, by nature, quite a loveable and happy young man, they loved him back enthusiastically. But they encountered Jensen's reserved nature, some thought he was shy whilst others thought he was a snob. Because Jared was such an awesome salesman, his product [Sam] became more palatable to the audience. Jensen realized that as a salesman, he had a little work to do. Being construed as shy is not bad, but being seen as a snob is definitely not a good look. So he started trying to change his public image, despite his reserved nature.

So you have to examine your audience and make necessary changes to your salesman pitch, so as to not put off your target market. Then people started to see meaningfulness in the friendship that J2 share. Some liked the chemistry their character's shared. The actors acknowledged that these ideas existed but didn't shoot them down. Jensen said that he understood it was a ''hot fantasy'', which is very accurate. They just requested that fans not ask them questions on the subject, which makes sense, because why would you want my opinion on your fantasy. That is ridiculous. These two groups, Tinhat fans and wincest fans, have been around for 13 years, without making a peep. You don't hear about them, unless you go looking for them. And unlike a few nasty people on Twitter, the majority has since the beginning, respected J2.

Part of the credit for this goes to the actors themselves. They didn't overindulge this subsection, because that would be an idiotic sales pitch. I don't think you understand why. Why is it that Sam and Dean's popularity hasn't waned? They have shouldered the burden of a show that is now in its fourteenth season. They are getting more popular and mass media has an eye on them, which is why they are invited on talk shows, sporadically. You were invited on Larry King, but it was not because of your work on the show, it was for your charity project. And your charity project is not your livelihood. Your acting job is, and it isn't looking very good. You weren't even a series regular last year, and most people didn't seem to mind.

Here is where your sales pitch is going wrong.

You fragment the total viewing population of the show

You do this by your con etiquette. The fans who buy tickets to watch your panel are a heterogeneous group of people. The problem with having this type of audience, is that you have to curb your language around them, because children attend cons too. You use vulgar language. You also speak about sexually explicit things like shipping. The parents and older siblings sitting in the audience might be offended, and that never occurred to you. That is very baffling. The parents who are not offended stay on and those who are, won't watch a Misha panel again with their kids. Fragmentation. You have broken your total con audience in two.

When people ask you about shipping, you don't politely acknowledge it and move on. You ''lay it on thick'' as they say. There is a lot that is wrong with that.

Any straight male fan who genuinely admires your character is not likely going to sit through something he doesn't care about. Especially since you become very explicit. He will feel kind of grossed out, as he should, not because he's homophobic but because this is not his jam. By overdoing the shipping thing, you have forced a decision out of this fan as to whether he wants to pay good money to sit through this nonsense again. The next time he attends con, he is going to spend his money elsewhere. That also goes for straight female fans who don't like shipping. Because not all women like slash. And they will try not to attend you panel again because it didn't entertain them. Second fragmentation.

There are other ships in the fandom. That is the natural progression of things went one ship appears on a show or movie. That initial pairing pulls all the other characters in. So almost everyone of the well known actors on Supernatural have been slashed with another actor. All except Tahmoh Penikett and Alexander Calvert, to the best of my knowledge. I am not sure why Tahmoh is ignored but it might have something to do with his character killing Kevin. I think Alex is not slashed because every other man is a father figure on the show, and Alex plays a baby. You tend to indulge mostly the destiel fanbase, and destiel is discussed in almost all your panels. What is wrong with that? You isolate people who don't like destiel for whatever reason. If they don't like a pairing, they are not going to sit through a panel where that pairing is sporadically discussed. That is not what they paid for. In a convention, where audience members have been asked not to ask shipping questions, and every other guest honors the rule except you, it makes you look unprofessional and a rule breaker. That is not a good look for a salesman. Third fragmentation.

So what if you speak about destiel? You have fans. They love you. How is that detrimental to your popularity? I will explain that further down.

You bite the hand that feeds you

If you have been employed on a show for ten years, you cant badmouth that show. Especially when you are incorrect. In 2013, you said that the show was 'gratuitously misogynistic', during one of your panels. Since then, the show has been bringing in unnecessary female characters. This is aggravating for fans who were watching the show since before you got casted. They didn't like most of the female characters, and yes the non-approving fans were all female. Ratings were still good and the show was popular. There were female characters whom the fans had no problem with, for example, Missouri Mosley, Ellen Harvelle, Pamela Barnes and to a certain extent even Ava.

Ever since your statement, CW and associated twitter pages blew up with accusation from ''concerned fans'' who were now asking for ''representation'' on a show that was already nine years old, despite managing to be misogynistic. So now, we have characters are extremely unpopular like Claire Novak, Jody Mills, Donna Whatshername and even Mary Winchester. The spinoff for these inadequate females bombed due to lack of ratings. The show invested time, resources, money and effort into a spin-off that failed, because you said something stupid that made them look bad. The day they figure it out, you will leave the show with a reputation of being problematic. And word travels in Hollywood.

You overestimate your knowledge

You tend to speak up for a lot of different people. Usually I would admire that, because it is a sign of inclusiveness - not a bad trait to have. You, however, are very heavy handed with it. And you speak about subjects like you know them. You have an inadequate knowledge of slash fiction and yet you speak about it and you speak wrong. I have already done an article on that subject. You speak about feminism and misogyny and women's rights which makes me livid, because as I previously pointed out, you say the wrong things. And as a women, I would prefer to speak up for myself. I don't need a voice box speaking incorrectly for me.

You also speak about LGBT issues. LGBT teens who make up a small part of your already small fanbase, like that. After all, they are kids and they don't know any better. Grown ups, are generally, getting irritated. Because if you wanted these people to have rights, you will let them speak instead of speaking for them. Right now, only you and your destiel fans have a voice on the subject of LGBT, and collectively, you do a lot of damage to that community. Non-destiel fans are constantly fighting off destiel fans because of their ''deep'', stereotypical and damaging analysis of Dean's sexuality. They are becoming dissatisfied, but because you are not a mainstream actor and a household name, you fly just under the radar. The day GLAAD releases an official statement about you and your fans, you are not going to like it. Neither is CW.

You don't control your termites

In the past year and a half, your destiel fans have:

verbally bashed Jensen Ackles on Twitter

sent him a death threat

threatened to burn down his house

threatened to poison his beer so his brewery will shut down

smeared J2's reputation over a harmless joke they made at Nolacon [yep, those were your fans - their profile pictures and names gave them away]

were planning to hire a plane so that they could fly the words ''Pedowitz sucks'' outside Mark Pedowitz's office

threatened to kidnap Jared's children

slandered Jared by saying that Jared abuses his wife, whilst pretending to be her number one fan on Instagram

They only have one motivation for doing this: YOU.

And its not because they love you so much. Its because you overindulged something that was essentially a harmless pastime, you have turned them into junkies and you are their only dealer. The day you switch off their juice with finality, you will see a very ugly side of these termites, who are eating away at the foundations of Supernatural.

Because you over spoke about destiel, these troublemakers are now the majority of your fans. Outside of destiel, they have no interest in you. The Misha-led con recently didn't do very well, did it? Due to fragmentation you have lost many fans, and mishandling of your product caused you to use all the others. How many fans do you have left? Less that 80 000. That is my estimation. Those are the majority of the fans who petitioned for Wayward Daughters. The standard audience didn't give a hoot about that stupid project. Why did the shippers care so much? Because Wayward Daughters was a fan-backed project. The fans made it happen. They assumed that if they could succeed in that, then maybe they could make destiel canon too. For them, destiel is endgame.

Supernatural as a total audience of 3 million. Less that 80 000, is not an impressive number. Unfortunately 80 000 are still inaccurate, because this was not a ''landlocked'' survey. It was done via the Internet, which means that fans from all over the world could vote. So they don't fall under the category of the 3 million viewers who tune into Supernatural in America, every week. You fans are not Supernatural's core audience. You did that to yourself. These fans are also mostly teens. That is why they are so loud compared to other fan subsections. They have no mortgages to pay. They don't have to face rush hour traffic and they can fixate on destiel without much interruption. And since they are kids, they understand social media better than you and I. So they know how to use their resources.

I want to point out though, that not all destiel fans are problematic. Some are civil and level headed. I feel sorry for them because their reputation is tarnished due to the majority. And an ok ship, that they enjoy, is ruined.

The only thing that is your saving grace, for many fragmented fans is your anti-Trump stance. I hate him too, but I also hate Hillary. She is no better than him. However, even that is baffling because if you are brave enough to tweet and irritate Trump, who is unfortunately your President, why don't you have the courage to deal with your fans, in defense of your co-stars and the show that has employed you for ten years. Especially when these fans are mostly children. So you are not afraid of President Trump, but little girls scare you? Because my vantage point, I can see that this doesn't make you look good.

You used to be one of my favorites amongst the additional cast, until I got fragmented out of your circle. I even liked destiel, until it turned into a vile beast. You are now one person, that I cant write a slash story for. Because you have made it difficult for me to like you.

Y E S !

but due to me having at least over a thousand characters I’ll just give a quick summary of the 25 I manage to dig up over 3 sketchbooks.

Y’all can pick and choose which of them interest yall or who you wanna hear more about!

Also because I’m extra, I made sketch icons for the 25 characters, info under the cut

I’ll talk a bit more about my actual Original Characters first, starting with

Aiko! Otherwise known as Echo

- A marked individual in a steampunk world that gets mixed with magic, because I like both of those things

- Echo runs an underground lab that does helps the underground world with replacing body parts, illegal surgeries etc etc

- Even though she marked, which puts a bounty on her head already, she is well respected by the community for not cheating for your money, stealing your cash, or shanking/killing you mid-surgery

- however, Echo does long for adventure and sometimes do get bored in the lab

oh yeah,, Echo like stealing eyeballs, so if you’re low on cash and wouldn’t mind losing an eye, you know who to call!!

Bonus:

Here’s Echo’s boring, undeveloped sidekick!! I don’t like her and I don’t know how to make her better. Yes, she doesn’t have a name.

here’s my god playboy that left “heaven” due to having an early mid-life crisis, I call him God boi cause;

- He goes by many names!

tbh, he’s probably the closest character I have to being genderfluid/-neutral? I’m not sure,,

- The god has many powers, from lightning to shapeshifting

- The shapeshifting part allows him to change every part of himself, allowing him to change depending on his situation.

- God boyo, or originally Aristide, is obsessed with the idea of perfection. A god should be perfect, if a god is out of line, he is no god.

- Same goes for him, which means whenever something is wrong with him, it affects him, extremely

However, leaving the land of gods to live among humans aren’t all perks

- Aris isn’t immune to diseases or injuries. In fact, he actually fell down and died on impact when he came to earth, being reborn into another child immediately.

- He doesn’t gain his memories back automatically tho!! He has to have a major shock to the brain in order for him to remember his previous lives

- Sometimes the shock isn’t enough either, when you have a thousand over lives, you won’t remember every single one of them. So forgotten lovers coming back to haunt because your brain hates you? That’s everyday for him!

i just,, i like playing with the concepts of god,,

Up next we got Ayeka Himura! A japanese student going to a neighborhood, but still a pretty good, school living close to poverty due to her father’s constant spending habits and obsession with art supplies. With the household lacking a mother due to wacky shenanigans, Ayeka takes care of her two younger siblings and the house, all while maintaining a very well-paid job and slowly loosing interest in actually studying for a good, honest job.

Li Shen, yes she doesnt have a surname, is apparently main ho now, according to my old oc chart of my “main” ocs

She’s the group’s resident sweetheart and really does not want you to do stupid shit, stop doing stupid shit. She tutors my son up there ^^ even though he’s actually smart and just refuses to do his work properly. But she still deeply cares for him.

the last girl of the ching chong trio and the reason I had to switch up my son’s design is this girly over here! Her design was too business-y and formal so I enrolled all of them into college. A rich girl who doesn’t know how to deal with her g a y thoughts. Tried sending Li Shen some flowers once. She didn’t realize attaching her name would be a good idea and son got a good laugh.

i like paranormal stuff so they apparently look into that shit in their spare time. They’re all actually really fun characters to do prompts with I swear!! send some in and I’ll write them

a robo girl that i created during social studies cause they were talking about taxes and i just went, “what if,, a robo runs on taxes,,, and like,, she haunts you down for not paying your taxes,,” thus she was born! I don’t know what to name her but she is set in the future so-

Time to go future-apocalypse style because I love that setting too and was upset that I didn’t have any ocs in that style. So I created Alex A. ! A cybrog filled with memories of the previous generations as a sad attempt to preserve human life.

He’s accompanied by his sister/cousin idr i didn’t draw an icon for her, didnt like her design. they go on a hunt for food and to return with nothing. She gets to meet this other dude who has a plant arm im pretty sure i based him off someone’s elses oc but i cant remember. The 3 are forgotten. Kinda want to bring them back tho.

Neon! A character set in the future utopia of lazy people, where gamers rise up. its the best I can describe her story without getting too deep. She the new hacker on the block, joining the underground gang of elite hackers. She’s another one of those wacky characters that just has fun. I mean, when you know your way around codes and the world you live in is full of it, would you not take advantage of that?

anyways,, Alexzandra is one of the more older ocs I have that didnt get a big revamp. Only an au I develop to the point I forgot the actual shows and the original cast are a little different from the source haha what? She’s the emotionally unstable german war veteran, yes the wife thing isn’t mutual, and haha shes only 27~. I cling onto her so much?? She’s hits a lot of “edgy” points but I still love her cause idk,, the story I made for her is something I hold dear cause Alexzandra was one of my first ACTUALLY DEVELOPED CHARACTER. Is it wrong to say I hold her really close to my heart? Is that weird? probably a little cringy sorry haha. I probably project a little into her which might have strengthened my love for her ack. Her story delves more into the depression very unstable needs to talk to someone side and i get scared talking about my wife’s story online so uhh, idk ask me specific questions about her, I’ll be more inclined to talk.

Like the actual cast of tf2, there’s barely any real story to him. I only gave him a vague I don’t know my past but hey, i fly really really well. He participated in war unlike certain men but he’s still really nice and will only kill you if you hurt his family. Which he doesn’t know so he just considers the cast his family. He keeps mentioning a wife though, pretty sure he doesn’t have one but you do what makes you happy son.

Isamu Aena! a mp100 oc I made by accident cause idk,, I was thinking about lolita fashion and all of a sudden, the actual oc I was going to make turned into a mob psycho oc. She’s one of my few ocs where her sexuality matters (she’s gay yeah) cause it plays a role in her storyline. She went from being “manipulated”/used to Mob’s wingwomen. She spots out things that can help him in the romantic department cause she’s into romance. A student of the school Mob infiltrated and a fantastic tailor, not to mention a pretty decent pyschic. wait where do models get their lolita stuff from,,

im gonna ignore that and move onto Lillian Yi! Who, i swear i did not meant for it, is very close to lloyd. I mean,, none of the ninjas were with him after s3, who you think he’d meet. Lillian is a survivor from the Great Devourour and yes I’m still pissed LEGO stole my backstory for Lillian to use for Harumi. FUCK YOU LEGO, i still love both of em tho,, The event did leave a big scar and it made Lillian job jumping for a bit, ending at Chen’s Noodles in S6~, where ya know,, stuff got better. She was a medalist for gymnastics and continue the activity, even after her parents’ death, to please others. She was already lost at the time so staying in the sport would help, right? Needless to say, after being rejected at a cop academy for youths, or something similar, she gave up for a while but got back into the idea of saving people by using her skills she already had. It helped with the weight and feelings and meeting the green ninja was a very big bonus. Also Lloyd dubbed her the “mysterious stranger” when she refused to speak in fear of her identity, slight shame, and maybe a bit of being star struck. It helped Lloyd too in a sense where he had something to distract him from Zane’s passing.

Their relationship was eventually formed, strong and almost unbreakable, except for harumi but uhh thats a different story. Throughout the seasons, they stayed close and lloyd was always comforted by Lillian went times get ruff.

Also Lillian is my most light-hearted characters and I think that says a lot

Then there’s Nite “I don’t want to be your dad”. A character that is supposed to be in the ninjago world but barely interacts with the main story and only stays in his self contained plot. He was supposed to get a bf but uhhh idk. He’s the master of shifting and streams that online, taking out small crimes, and is actually really shy and doesn’t like interacting with people.

LASTLY! Yukimaru Atsuko, hero name; Gummie. She goes by Yuki and is a big dick. She’s a studious student but gets more thrills on the actual battlefield. Living with her uptight grandma and her big bottom energy bro, she has the dom energy thing going. and apparently folks on G+, or the people who comment about her, thinks she’s really pretty, which was oddly a thing back before UA. She’s the dick you can like, not like Bakugou but she will definitely want to fight Bakugou.

A gum-related quirk is not full of perks when its only your hands. I’d dive more into her like her insecurities and stuff but I’ve been here for probably 3hrs. Sorry anon.

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 15X3

Owen and Amelia are back together again. I don't love them together, but I no longer hate it either. They actually seem happy together and non-abusive for once so that’s something.

Bailey clearly didn't think through what giving up being Chief of Surgery would mean and that really shone through in this episode. When Link thought Koracick was the new Interim Chief oh boy. Link is not getting on Alex’s good side at all. But his idea was pretty neat! We also learned that Fellows have a lounge on three and that Nico comes to the Interns Locker Room to be around Glasses. They’re so cute!

Welcome Jo Karev! I love this storyline. Krista and the new writers for Season 14 and 15 have taken Jo from being a character I couldn’t stand to one I am rooting for. I felt so bad for her in this episode. She got totally shafted because of Bailey’s snap decision. She made the best of it because she’s awesome, but that doesn’t make it okay. She fought to stay in Seattle and now Bailey is pushing her aside.

I liked that this episode included part of the scenes they filmed in Seattle! I felt bad for the cast and crew wearing fall clothing in summer heat, but they looked good and pulled it off! DeLuca did look awfully good on that bike!

Maggie trying to encourage Amelia to date DeLuca because of Teddy was both hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. Then watching her try to set Amelia up with Link was just funny and ridiculous. At least Amelia took it in stride. Post-tumour I actually like her. Post-tumour Amelia is focusing on what’s important. She’s actually there for Maggie and Meredith and is genuinely supportive and strong.

One of the biggest revelations of this episode is that Jackson took a leave of absence and didn’t tell Maggie! He told everyone else via mass email. Maggie later picks up a voicemail from him that explains very little and which the audience doesn’t get to hear which is highly suspicious. A friend and I were discussing this after the fact and she had an excellent point. Usually if the actor is available we hear the voicemail or the other end of the phone call. The only times we don’t are when the actor is unavailable or has left the show.

There was no indication prior to this that Jesse Williams would be leaving which leaves the following possibilities in my mind. One, the actor has taken ill temporarily or had a personal issue arise so they had to write him out of a few episodes so that he could recover or deal with the problem. Two, the actor has become part of another project that now needs more of his time or has signed onto a new project and he can’t do both at the same time due to time constraints.

Three, the actor asked for some time off this season for family or personal reasons. Four, the actor is being written off the show in order to pursue other projects or they have decided to write him off for creative reasons. There’s no other information available at this time (that I could find) so we’ll just have to wait and see. However, Jackson doesn’t appear to be in the next episode so that doesn’t bode well.

I like the way Maggie’s character is being written so far this season. They’ve made her more likable, less totally awful, and I can actually relate to her character now. I like that Maggie and Meredith’s relationship is improving. That’s the whole reason she’s in Seattle so the whole ‘Maggie is a terrible sister and Meredith has to put up with all of her crap’ storyline made no effing sense.

I knew from the moment that the nose bleed patient appeared on screen and Vik blew him off that it was going to come back to haunt him. I didn’t realize just how bad it would be though. I liked that we got to see Koracick actually practice medicine! Before this all we had seen was him treat Amelia’s brain tumour but very quickly and from then on he’s being doing research. Roy was once again good for absolutely nothing.

In this episode we get some wise words from Koracick. “A nose bleed that brings a person to the ER is never just a nose bleed.” Very true. Also holds true for any kind of uncontrolled bleeding or persistent reaction as that means your blood isn’t clotting and and there’s some kind of underlining issue that needs to be addressed.

We also get some more information about Koracick here. His scrub cap has ace playing cards on it. A scrub cap is a very personalized item in the show so this means he has an affinity for gambling or playing cards or poker or that it’s literally lucky or it’s meant as a joke as he’s a neurosurgeon. When Vik defied orders to stop compressions and then refused to call the time of death and then literally threw his hands up in the air, threw a tantrum like a five year old, and literally ran out of the OR with two attendings calling after him I was so mad.

His line, “I’m just an intern” made it even worse. Yes you are an intern, but that doesn’t you don’t take responsibility for your actions or that you get to blame everything on inexperience. It’s a teaching hospital you are there to learn not place blame and literally run away screaming. If that’s your reaction under pressure that you can’t do the job. Period. You aren’t cut out for that line of work. Most people aren’t.

That’s why it’s hard and you have to go to school for a long time to work in health care at any level. The attendings take responsibility for the patient too and they talk to the family because they have more experience with it and so that the hospital hopefully doesn't get sued and the family doesn’t press charges. It is meant as a way to save the hospital from the wrath of upset family members not deflect responsibility.

I was happy when Alex FINALLY fired Roy! He so deserves it! There’s no chance of him coming back now. He got out of it the first time by claiming wrongful dismissal because of interaction he shouldn’t have had with marijuana. Webber reprimanded him for not stepping back when he told him to, but didn’t fire him because he was injured and it could be chalked up to a misunderstanding as Vik didn’t know that it was hairspray and it was going to ignite. But this time, as Alex said, Vik lied about treating a patient. He left the patient who had a persistent nose bleed that was gushing blood in the ER for five hours without ever doing a physical exam or ordering labs or alerting the nursing staff to check on them.

As are result of his actions and inactions the patient died. The patient was ignored so it can be presumed that their family wasn’t notified of their admittance and they don’t seem to even have a full name and they have no medical history. Which means they have to track down this person’s name and contact information and then identify their next of kin and contact their family. At which point they will have to inform them that their family member who they didn’t even know was sick has died. They don’t have a choice about firing Vik.

If they don't the patient’s family will most likely come after the hospital for malpractice or come after Vik and have him charged. It’s what we’d all do if someone treated our loved one this way. And no lawyer, no matter how good, is going to be able to argue their mistreated family member back to life. I loved that smirk at the end there! Alex finally did something right that everyone’s been wanting to do.

The shop accident was gnarly! I had to look away for most of it. Webber made treating the shop teacher WAY too personal. That was super problematic. What he did really borders on intimidation. And the patient turns out to have Auto brewery system. It was the jello! Webber was testing a theory, but that doesn’t make it right what he did.

I LOVED the scene between Meredith and Alex. It was classic Grey’s and perfectly encapsulates why they are such good friends. They get each other and are there for each other and inspire each other. And Alex is totally right. Mer has earned the right to pick and choose who she lets in and even if she hasn’t we all deserve to have our wishes and privacy respected in the way that we choose.

I loved Meredith’s interactions with CeeCee. Too funny! And I adored CeeCee’s shopping idea! She understands what Meredith is saying (or not saying) now. Work from the outside in. I really like the dynamic they have created. The scene at the end with Maggie and Meredith with Zola, Bailey, and Ellis stole my heart! So precious! FASHION SHOW! I like that they are including the kids more this season and they are clearly listening to the criticisms of the past few seasons where the kids were MIA and it was super obvious and ridiculous.

Annnnd that’s a wrap! I liked this week’s episode. I’m looking forward to seeing Meredith go on her blind date next week!
