shulk has been crushing on you way before he became the wielder of the monado

though he never really did anything about it before, always just watching you from afar, fantasizing about what could've been if he was your boyfriend

but then he got the monado and he changed so much

fiora's death was a wake up call for him and he knew he has to make sure he would never lose you like he lost her

when he left colony 9 with reyn, you were with them

he couldn't just leave you behind after all! who knows what could happen to you when he wasn't around…

no, you needed him!

and he would make sure nobody would ever hurt you or even touch you

shulk's clinging onto you whenever he has to opportunity

the only times he isn't by your side is when he rushes into battle. he's always at the front, making sure no monster can even get near to you

the first time shulk started to get jealous was when you arrived in alcamoth and you met kallian and alvis

while you had been around other guys before, like reyn or dunban, shulk never saw them as a threat

but those two? kallian was the prince of the high entia and alvis was their powerful seer, even able to use the monado!

shulk couldn't let them get close to you!

that was the first time he started to isolate you from the outside world, leaving you behind in the guest room as he went to take care of everything

despite all that, shulk still didn't have the courage to confess to you

he didn't have time to think about how to do it. he was always busy protecting you and leading his friends in their fight against the mechon

when he finally does manage to tell you about his feelings, it's at prison island, shortly before facing zanza

he knows he could die here, so he pulls you aside and kisses you

he promises you that if you both survive this, he'll confess properly. he'll get you flowers and a ring, anything you want!

you just have to promise him to survive this, because he doesn't know what he would do with himself if you were gone…

in infinitely better news, i got a solid solid A on my short film and my group got the highest grade in the class and i've been crying on and off since last night when i saw because i'm so fucking relieved and proud and !!!

Finally, finally we got to Prison Island today.

It was preceded by like an hour of fighting stuff and grabbing items for quests while unlocking the seals on the teleporter, culminating in about 10 minutes of equipment shifting while on Central Seal Island after beating the Skyray during which I was silently begging her to please just get on with the plot lol

*Looking at the forefathers statue* Roommate: We could've had a dragon?! *Looks at Melia* sorry girl, but I think the High Entia now are a downgrade

(adding that one to the "that aged well" pile)

She figured out Mumkhar being Metal Face now, but she can't remember his name lmao

There's a lot of stuff from the video, which I'll probably edit and post later when it's not midnight (inb4 I completely forget to do this)

I guess in case of that eventuality I'll just say that the highlights are feeling bad for Zanza when he gets impaled because he just wanted to get free (ha. hm.) and her feral cackles of joy when the Monado is released and we get to fight Metal Face

After Prison Island she was like "wow so we're getting our seventh party member pretty late huh" and it took me a second but like. I don't think she's put together who Seven is yet and that we do in fact get Fiora with her memories back
