WAT propose une musique soul-rock chaleureuse et jouissive, sur des textes libertaires chantés en anglais. Groupe de la rue et des troquets à ses débuts, le trio s’est électrisé au fil des années et a su créer son propre univers sur les scènes des salles et des festivals du sud de la France.

Sans limite de genre musical, avec une approche beaucoup plus rock et sans jamais abandonner le groove de WAT,  l’album "Everything to lose", sorti en novembre 2021, exprime à la fois la mélancolie de l’humain face à son destin funeste et son intense désir de vivre sans entrave. Cela se traduit au son par des rythmiques puissantes à la batterie, qui mettent sur orbite les envolées lyriques de la guitare, en accord avec la basse et la voix captivante de Winny.

Wikipedia describes him as an alternative folk singer-songwriter, but that leaves out his distinctive guitar style that is unlike all others. He is basically insane, so radio stations and streaming services don’t know how to classify his music. 

That’s why Danyell and I support him on Patreon. It’s also why we watched him every time he streamed a show from his home during the pandemic. And that’s why his new album is my favorite of 2021. Great music, amazing songwriting. 

Can’t wait to receive the vinyl soon!
