Tragic Backstory:

His (extremely wealthy) family had gone to see a show, as they were leaving the theater his parents were fatally shot, leaving then eight year old Bruce to be raised by the family butler Alfred Pennyworth. When he came of age he spent several years abroad training to become Batman, notably spending time with the League of Assassins.

Brucie: refers to his billionaire playboy persona

The Ships:

Bat/Cat: Selina Kyle (catwomen) and Bruce have a long-standing on again off again thing going on in cannon. They almost got married but it didn’t work out.

Talia al Ghul is the mother of Bruce’s biological son. Cannon sources differ about whether the conception was consensual on his part.

SuperBat: Batman and Superman have this whole sexy work place rivalry thing going on. Sometimes Wonderwoman joins in. Not cannon.

Green Lantern Hal Jordan gets under Batman’s skin in just the right ways, so it’s no wonder people ship them. Not cannon.

BatJokes: Batman and the Joker, this one doesn’t work for me at all but some people are into it. They’re two sides of the same coin yada yada but like come on he killed his son. Not cannon.

BatRobin: you can find fan art/fics of him with any Robin, but Dick and Jason are the most common. Not cannon.

Things to Know

As a kid he was really into a fictional superhero called Gray Ghost.

He doesn’t kill.

He hates guns.

After Jason’s death he became even more serious and stopped making quips.

Ric thoughts.

Where's my fic of Slade taking advantage of his chance to have Dick willingly fuck him now that he doesn't remember/care about all the murder smh. Slade stretching truths, pretending to have spent years training him, looking out for him, earning his trust… Slade being the lesser evil, Ric coming from being pressured and guilted by strangers, where Slade claims to not care about the change, and says that he just wants to help Ric as he is now. Slade frames it as a favor he's doing for an old friend (Dick) rather than a forced attempt at getting him to remember (at getting the Dick Grayson that everyone loves back, because the him now is hated by the very people that claim to love him) (But also Slade is very much tracking down the people who fucked around with his brain, but he doesn't tell Ric that lest he risk scaring the kid off by reminding him that no one really wants /him/) (this also. Would play well into a DID scenario. Ric being an alter whose been thrust into a life where no one wants him, they want this other person he shares a body with and has never met.)

Whenever a plot idea starts to touch on themes of DID i get a bit hesitant. I don't have any formal diagnosis but I do have somewhat of a similar... something. it's a weird subject for me. it makes writing about DID into something that is both too personal while also being something I feel under qualified for, despite. well. despite the uninvited guests upstairs telling me not to worry about it. maybe I should just write about it, even if I don't end up posting it. might help me process some things.

oh wait lol. im remembering that person who accused me of "unhealthy coping" for writing batrobin porn. like lol there's nothin to do w my mental health in that. if i wrote smth deeply personal i think it'd show tbh. my heart (and mind) show on my sleeve dude.

I do just really like the setting of "Slade helps one of Dick's alters by the simple virtue of addressing them as an individual instead of trying to make them pretend to be Dick" and it's featured in a few daydreams of mine with several variations.
