I mean he never stopped loving her. König loves her so much he can’t take it, she was always the one for him even if he lost faith in such things long ago. He just gets entangled with his revenge fantasies, the years lost, the resentment and hurt, so much so that he plays with the idea of finally dumping her on their 1st anniversary, thinking there’s somehow a way to get her out from under his skin after this ultimate retribution. The thing is… She proposes to him that day.

They have their anniversary, and he’s about to dump her, and she PROPOSES.

So very sweet and shy, suddenly she smiles, and says that maybe they should get married… No, she’s not kidding...

She knows women don’t usually do this, but she just can’t take it anymore. She loves him. They’re made for each other, anyone can see that! She will always be here for him if he needs her. What does he think? Oh god, this was probably a mistake… She knows it’s a little too fast... Or is it? She’d be the happiest woman on earth if he said yes!

That’s when König finally crumbles and sees the man he has become, but he's so far in it now, he has no heart or guts to tell her what he’s done, what his plan was. He’s just like Get away from me, I’m an evil man and you need to leave while you still can, you deserve better.

And she just walks to him, face full of joy, crushes his head between her tits and says that she likes it when he's a bit bad :) That in truth he’s a bit silly too, he always had higher morals than anyone else and that if anything he’s the best man she has ever known. She won’t leave him, no way! If he needs some time with this, she’ll wait… She already waited for him all these years. She’ll always wait for him ❤️

I've been reading the emesis blue screenplay whenever I have a bit of free time, and it's so interesting to see the small changes they've made to some scenes.

But also, the knowledge that Fritz was supposed to have visions of being mistreated in prison in that one scene when he has a panic attack at scout's house makes me go hhhhhh

#60 seconds till mission begins rambles #If you can afford it; go support Fortress Films on patreon if you want access to the screenplay too; it's just 2 dollars a month #Honestly the script does clear up a lot of things not because the movie is confusing but because I am bad at listening to dialogues and #having all conversations spelt out with descriptions of the smaller details that are happening in the scene is super helpful #like who is seeing what in the corner of their eyes or what is in the black suitcase at the end when we see it open or #that one scene when soldier is talking to the police officers over radio to find out about who stole the black hearse and where it's headed #I didn't realise the guy who goes “roll down the window; I can't see your face” is the same guy who does the muffled screams 2 seconds late #there's a surprising amount of smaller scenes that were omitted which would have changed the feeling of some scenes a lot #It's only implied in the movie but Fritz puts Scout into the coffin after he's killed; that's actually described in the screenplay but #Instead of having a solemn moment about it the screenplay has him HURL scout into the coffin and then proceed to FIGHT for his life alksjdh #Screenplay Fritz is a different flavour of Fight and Flight and he has some more nightmares; let the man REST for a second #Ok no more spoilers; go read it yourself >:)

Thinking about how in The Horse and the Infant there’s a secondary beat that starts to play after he brings up Penelope and Telemachus, drops off once the other soldiers pick up in the background again (or becomes covered by the rest of the score and I can’t pick up on it as easily?) but then returns and stands out even more strongly against the rest of the music after he screams in pain and Zeus explains the vision. It drops off again while Odysseus is asking what threat an infant could pose, then comes back when Zeus is explaining he has to do this or his people will die/Ithaca will be in trouble (with another focus on Penelope) and it mimics the sound of a heartbeat
