as always i have many many complex thoughts on my special boy Thomas <33 but the specific ones I’ll elaborate on is they are soooo cool looking (i think his outfits are fucking sexy but also the wigs are so stupid god please if i never have to look at the wig that looks like a rug i will be a happy little man) and also they’re deeper than they seem/not as deep as they seem! that last one is Complex because y’all know my deep scholarly opinions on dear lord hamilton (he has so much to dig into like there’s a lot there! you just have to be like me, tam “i read too much queer theory and now my media opinions are bonkers” officialjamesflint, and have very specific thoughts and opinions on neurodiversity in academic spaces and being queer and religious), but Also i think a very very very fair critique that i see thrown is that people make way more out of thomas than is actually really there instead of focusing on like. actual characters with seasons worth of screen time (*cough* madi *cough*), which is usually coming from the classic white gay men over everyone else fandom attitude. so there’s nuance to that! i am simply going through Some Shit and a Lot of it parallels aspects of thomas’ narrative so i have Very Specific Brainrot <33
