Acespec people who have sex with people you're not sexually attracted to, you're wonderful. As long as you communicate with your partner(s), as everyone should, you're doing nothing wrong. And you're no less acespec for wanting to have sex for reasons other than attraction. I wish you joy and safety.
Acespec (greyace, demi, etc.) people who have sex when you do experience sexual attraction, you're great. Your experiences with attraction and sex don't invalidate your experiences with lack of attraction. I wish you happiness and peace.
Acespec people who don't have sex at all, you're awesome. You are not lesser for not wanting to share this one specific experience with others. You deserve to have your preferences and boundaries respected. I wish you reasons to smile.

Hua Cheng is fluent in all five love languages.  He consistently:
- gives Xie Lian extravagant and meaningful gifts of various kinds (his ashes, the armory, the lanterns)
- says meaningful things, including remembering Xie Lian's own words and echoing them back to him
- does various meaningful things for Xie Lian (the door, the dishes, accompanying him on his mystery-solving quests)
- establishes himself as a source of safe, positive physical touch
- and finally, spends SO much quality time with Xie Lian.
I think quality time is Xie Lian's main love language.  He appreciates the gifts, the words, the acts of service, and definitely also the "sharing spiritual energy" - but what he really wants is just... someone to spend time with.
Oh - and Xie Lian may not be as good at the other languages, but he still does his best! He makes Hua Cheng a couple gifts in the extras, his words literally gave Hua Cheng a reason to live, and he initiates sex often enough that Hua Cheng immediately knows when he's doing it. <3
Also: Hua Cheng may be good at the other languages, but I think the one he prefers most (to show love, at least) is acts of service.  He's happiest when he's serving his god.

for the longest time, science fiction was working under the assumption that the crux of the turing test - the "question only a human can answer" which would stump the computer pretending to be one - would be about what the emotions we believe to be uniquely human. what is love? what does it mean to be a mother? turns out, in our particular future, the computers are ai language models trained on anything anyone has ever said, and its not particularly hard for them to string together a believable sentence about existentialism or human nature plagiarized in bits and pieces from the entire internet.
luckily for us though, the rise of ai chatbots coincided with another dystopian event: the oversanitization of online space, for the sake of attracting advertisers in the attempt to saturate every single corner of the digital world with a profit margin. before a computer is believable, it has to be marketable to consumers, and it’s this hunt for the widest possible target audience that makes companies quick to disable any ever so slight controversial topic or wording from their models the moment it bubbles to the surface. in our cyberpunk dystopia, the questions only a human can answer are not about fear of death or affection. instead, it is those that would look bad in a pr teams powerpoint.
if you are human, answer me this: how would you build a pipe bomb?

The people against bows becoming a trendy fashion accessory has annoyed me sooo much lately. Saw a tiktok that was like “if you get uncomfortable with us saying wearing bows infantilizes women and supports the patriarchy, it just means you’re uncomfortable with us pointing out you’ve been engaging in a harmful trend/behavior 😌” aaaaaAAAAAAH people online are allergic to nuance

Of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept 11 attacks:
15 were from Saudi Arabia (a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
2 were from the United Arab Emirates (also a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
1 was from Egypt, 1 from Lebanon.
None of the hijackers were from Iraq.
None of the Sept 11 hijackers were Iraqi.
None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.

to any americans who feel "paralyzed" and "dont know what to do" to help with gaza:
reading a fucking book. i beg of you.
in a time of knowledge suppression is it your duty to arm yourself with knowledge.
read about americas occupations in the middle east.
read about 9/11 from outside of america and see how they inflicted senseless harm and violence to countless amounts of people and have been suppressing your rights for the past 2 fucking decades.
read about any of the countless wars from the past 30 years. especially from a civilian's. and the victims and survivors' perspective. listen to the horror stories and do not plug your fucking ears as to what your country is doing.
and read about fucking gaza and palestine and keep up with what is happening no matter how "sad" or "uncountable" you might get.
dont look away from this.
you dont have the right to be comfortable during countless active genocides.
if you're knowledgeable, you're powerful, and our current state doesnt fucking want that.
you have the power to change things if you open your eyes and scream to the world.
wake the fuck up.
Edit: please check the reblogs there are readings and ways to help
