Thinking about Nekomaru Nidai and heart transplants and how one of the theories is that he took Junko's heart after she died.

I like this theory! It is a fun theory!

But Junko's blood type is AB, which means only another person with that blood type can take her heart. Nekomaru's blood type is A, which means he could give Junko his heart, but he can't take hers.

Nekomaru could, however, take Mukuro's, if it got to him fast enough, since her blood type is A. (Her heart probably got pierced by one of the spears, so not likely, and even if it didn't, her heart would have needed to get to him within 4-6 hours, which is also extremely unlikely.)

This also means that Mikan should not have been able to transplant Junko's womb into herself, for the same reason. (The exact same, actually - Mikan is also blood type A.)

In point of fact, the only one of the girls who could is Ibuki.

....

It's just interesting that, in terms of organ donor and blood transfusions, Junko can take from anybody, but she can only give herself to someone just. like. her.

Currently thinking about how the reading that Izzy is *actually* threatening to kill Ed in the last episode doesn’t make any sense. Like, what could be his possible game plan there? Kill Ed and take over the ship as captain? Kill Ed and sneak off in the middle of the night? Option one wouldn’t work because the crew fucking hates him lol (they mutinied like immediately) and option two... just doesn’t make any sense? There’s no reason for him to do it???

Izzy was speaking in anger in that scene obviously, so he probably wasn’t really putting much thought into what he said -- He basically just exploded. But even if he *was* thinking it through, I really can’t picture a circumstance where that was an actual genuine threat to Edward’s life. At worst, Izzy’s threatening to leave (and suggesting that Ed’s going to get himself killed). He really *can’t* be threatening anything worse -- He has 0 power on that ship, and the entire crew would instantly choose Ed over him. Everyone hates Izzy! Killing Ed (or trying to kill Ed) would get *Izzy* killed, he’s ridiculously outnumbered.

For all the talk of Ed responding to the threat and “putting Izzy in his place,” Izzy didn’t actually threaten him? Sure, Izzy was an asshole, but for the most part his insults just felt very personal -- He didn’t really deliver any threats other than (imo) possibly threatening to leave. And Ed couldn’t have that! He wants Izzy to stick around (he needs him now that Stede’s gone!). So anyway, Ed responds to Izzy’s very much non-threat by fucking maiming Izzy in his sleep (a wild level of escalation if I do say so myself).

So, I've sort of debated about posting about this since I came back to Tumblr, but fuck it, I guess.

One of the things I got into during my time away was a web novel called Worm. Very good, dark superhero story, the premise of which is that people's powers are triggered during traumatic moments in their lives. The main character triggers with the power to control insects following a long period of bullying that crescendos into one really fucked up incident. She initially wants to use her power to be a hero, but ends up infiltrating a group of villains her own age and her morals end up put to the test when she realizes that despite being villains, they're really not such bad people and she likes hanging out with them. From there, things escalate to, well, Kaiju, serial killers, and the potential end of the world.

Why do I bring this up? Two reasons. One, some of these characters are super fun to rp and I wish so badly I could throw them at people. I've rped with them on Discord and love them so much. So many great characters, I could go on and on and on about.

The second, and perhaps more selfish is sort of a plug, I guess? You see, for the last two years I've been involved in a fan produced audiobook project for this webnovel. I've been recording the main narration. I'm now sort of in the home stretch of recording. I've learned a lot about narration and things along the way. I've put so much time and so much of myself into it, I'm really both proud and rather anxious about it.

I want to encourage people to listen, but I'm also kinda scared to, you know?

Anyway, the novel is free on WordPress, and the audiobook is released podcast style on Spotify as the Unabridged Audiobook, if anyone is actually interested. If you're curious and want to know more, just let me know, I'll happily talk about the characters and story until you're sick of me, lol.

He's well aware nothing will come of it, and has largely put it out of his mind, and gotten over it, preferring to continue on as Noctis' friend and advisor rather than dwell on unrequited emotions

You know... I feel like Alasdair probably didn't become a part of the somewhat new Angel Investigations team because Angel and Faith kind of forced him to help bring Giles back to life, when he really didn't want to get involved with necromancy there--since it usually goes wrong and Giles was his friend, but since it worked out, mostly, he seemed kind of okay with it in the end--but I kind of wish the guy had ended up being Angel's "Giles" after losing Wesley or something. I feel like he and Faith maybe could have used someone like that in "Angel & Faith". And Alasdair definitely could have fit the bill.

This is gonna sound weird, and like. It's not meant to be.

But a while ago I said something along the lines of not caring about engagement with my fics. And at the time, that was predominantly true!

But I'm. definitely feeling the sting from lack of comments this time.

Which! People are engaging with the writing process here! And I'm getting kudos! And people are still going back and reading new chapters; I can see the hits going up every time a new chapter drops!

And I never want to put any pressure on. leaving a comment, because it's not like I always leave comments. They take time and figuring out words is hard and sometimes you honestly don't have anything to say other than that you liked the thing.

But this time, the lack is. rough, for some reason.
