“The apostle Paul had passion and vision to reach the world with the truth of salvation. As he followed the Holy Spirit’s leading, traveling more than 10,000 miles in a few short years, he managed to share the gospel with people all the way from Jerusalem to Rome. There’s no telling how many lives the Lord has (and will continue to) transform through that one man.

Paul was faced with a big task in a time when there was no mass communication. He could teach only a few thousand people at a time, and his letters, which were widely shared in the early church, could reach thousands more.

Compared to the apostle, we have far more ways to communicate—radio, television, print resources, and the internet—and through them, we can reach millions of people around the world. Even countries closed to the gospel are within reach. How can you play a part in the Great Commission and encourage others to join in doing the work (Matthew 28:18-20)? The door of opportunity is wide open for us to share the good news. We just need to step through it and see all the amazing things God has in store.”

Yo. No one can take you from Gods hand or separate you from His love. We got life through Him. He loves you, and I do too. I hear Him saying “rest in my promises” because someone out there needed to hear that.

Insight

Today's pressures make it easy to ignore or forget the lessons of the past. But Paul cautions us to remember the lessons the Israelites learned about God so we can avoid repeating their errors.

Challenge

The key to remembering is to study the Bible regularly so that these lessons remind us of how God wants us to live. We need not repeat their mistakes!

“Jesus is everything, for everybody, everywhere, every time and every way. He is God, He is faithful” (1 Cor 1:9) He is with me, but Friend, Jesus is also with you, whenever you need Him. Jesus walks with you (Lev 26:12), He prays for you (Rom 8:34) and He will never leave you (Deut 31:6). He is your friend (John 15:15) and He will always be with you (Matt 28:20). Thank You Jesus! Amen! 🙏🕊️🙌

Devotional for June 21st

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” - 1 Corinthians 12:28

In the apostle’s lists of officers in the church the “helps” are mentioned before the “governments.” By the ministry of prayer, by the ministry of giving, by the ministry of encouragement, by the shining face and mute pressure of the hand, and a little word of cheer, and by the countless ways in which we can help, or at least can keep from hindering, we can all find still the footprints of Aquila and Priscilla, if we want to follow them. It is a great grace to be able to rejoice in another’s work and pour our lives, like affluent rivers, into great streams. But God knows whence every drop has come, and in the greater day of recompense many of the helps shall have the chief reward. Beloved, are you helping? Are you helping your pastor, your brother, your husband, your mother, your fellow-worker, and when the harvest comes shall he that soweth and he that reapeth rejoice together?

You can help by holy prayer, Helpful love and joyful song, O, the burdens you may bear, O, the sorrows you may share, O, the crowns you yet may wear, If you help along.
