#1 Corinthians 1:30

by Oswald Chambers | The Life Side. The mystery of sanctification is that the perfect qualities of Jesus Christ are imparted as a gift to me, not gradually, but instantly once I enter by faith into the realization that He “became for [me]…sanctification….” Sanctification means nothing less than...

“Do you seriously God think can't use you?
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything The Samaritan woman was divorced
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer
Lazarus was dead
God doesn't choose perfect people (because there aren't any on Earth). God chooses ordinary, flawed, imperfect people and helps them to do extraordinary things (look at the list above!) God can use you! Friend, God will give you the wisdom, power and strength to do anything He asks you to do. In Christ you have everything you need (Phil 4:19,23, Isa 40:29-31). Amen! 🙌
“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” —1 Corinthians 1:26‭-‬30 (NIV)

watching brazil’s matches with other people it’s funny because as corinthians fan a 1-0 win is my perfect scenario, everything i’ve ever asked for and exactly what i’m familiar with, but everyone else goes crazy when brazil doesn’t automatically win every match scoring +3 goals 🧍‍♀️

Looking at the End Times (Part 3) (204) - July 29 2023
God has a plan for each of us during these end times. We cannot just do what everyone else is doing. We must be in right relationship with the Lord every day to know His will for us and be led on the narrow path by His Holy Spirit. If we do what our friends are doing or what is popular, we may not be in the Lord’s will. Being in right relationship with the Lord will guide you through these end…

"ARE YOU A GOOD SOLDIER?"
2 Timothy 2:1-4, “So you, my son, be strong (strengthened inwardly) in the grace (spiritual blessing) that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus. And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.  Take [with me] your share of the…

Perfect Gifts
During the Christmas season, we are often focused on gifts. Giving and receiving. Let’s look at gifting in a little different way today. What is the one thing you’re passionate about and do better than anything else?  It could be your life gift. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s creation and that He has specifically given us talents and gifts, that He ‘prepared in advance’, to use for…

Wisdom is Rare. Share Some of Yours With Us!
Wisdom is Rare. Share Some of Yours With Us!
“Then he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; Keep my commandments and live; Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!” (Proverbs 3:4-5, NIV). Taught and Caught Make a quick mental list of things important to you that were taught to you by someone else. The obvious things like reading, riding a bike, swimming, and driving a car come to mind… And then there are the subtle…

Ordo Salutis: Glorification
1 Cor 15:12 And if Messiah is proclaimed that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 1 Cor 15:13 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Messiah has not been raised. 1 Cor 15:14 And if Messiah has not been raised, then our proclaiming is empty, and your belief also empty,
Rom 8:23 And not only so, but even we ourselves who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. Rom 8:24 For in this expectation we were saved, but expectation that is seen is not expectation, for when anyone sees, does he expect it? Rom 8:25 And if we expect what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.
Rom 8:30 And whom He ordained beforehand, these He also called, and whom He called, these He also declared right. And whom He declared right, these He also esteemed. — 1 Corinthians 15:12-14 and Romans 8:23-25, 30 | The Scriptures (ISR 1998) The Scriptures 1998 Copyright © 1998 Institute for Scripture Research. “When God Gave Me More Than I Could Handle” By Dr Michelle Bengtson:
“People, Christians included, often say that God won’t give you any more than you can handle, but that’s just not true. We’ve gotten it all wrong. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God won’t give us more than we can handle. It says he won’t let us be tempted beyond what we can bear, and that he will provide a way out of temptation so that we can handle it.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
But that’s talking about temptation, not enduring the trials and hardships of life. I would go so far as to say that God absolutely does give us more than we can handle! But He does so for a purpose. To those who so often say to me, “I don’t know how you handle everything you’ve been given,” I don’t. Repeatedly God has brought me to the place where I can’t handle it on my own. I can’t do it without Him.
Life is hard. Life is weighty. Life is overwhelming. We can’t do it alone, without Him. That’s why Jesus comforted us with the promise that,
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Jesus doesn’t ask us to carry the load by ourselves. Jesus beckons us to find our refuge, our strength, our peace in Him when life is just more than we can handle on our own.
When you feel like giving up, giving in, and letting go, God is holding on to you. When we experience difficulties that are too great for us to handle, they remind us that we must depend on God.
“For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you’” (Isaiah 41:13).
“The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:9).
When you’re weak, God wants to be strong for you. He wants to be the rock that you lean on, the strong tower that you run to. The times that overwhelm us show us that God is our source of strength.
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him” (Psalm 28:7).
“But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble” (Psalm 37:39-40).
The times that overwhelm us show us that God is our source of strength. When you feel weak, lost, and scared, not even sure where your next breath will come from, take God’s hand and know that He’s going to help you through it, one moment at a time. The times that are too difficult to handle on our own teach us to trust God even when we cannot see.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock” (Isaiah 26:4).
When all you can do is cry, God is a safe place to do that because He promises to dry your eyes. When we are faced with difficulties that are more than we can handle on our own, we have an opportunity to experience God as our refuge.
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
“As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him” (Psalm 18:30).
We will go through the hard times but never alone or without His helpful, guiding hand. So, does God give us more than we can handle on our own? Yes. But He makes us a promise that is worth holding onto:
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2).
We will go through the hard times, the fiery times, the overwhelming times, but never alone, and never without His helpful, guiding hand.
The question is, will you trust Him with those heavy, overwhelming burdens that are more than you can handle?
Because of Him, #HopePrevails!”

Fun facts about Pollo Miller
Tumblr media
He was born in Brazil in the state of Sao Paulo He is 30 years old He is autistic level 1 He joined the Toppats in his late teens to build weapons and things for the clan, he worked for a famous scientist who unfortunately betrayed him and tried to kill Pollo. Pollo's favorite food is stroganoff and cheese bread, and his favorite fruit is oranges. Pollo gets uncomfortable when someone touches him without permission, or a stranger he doesn't know touches him. He is sensitive to touch sometimes, so ask before you touch him! The antennas on his hat are connected to his gloves, and also to his goggles… If you change the antenna settings, Pollo turns into a TV or a kind of radio because of these antennas, turning his goggles into a screen XD He has a pet rat "Test subject 73"
Pollo is a fan of the Brazilian soccer team "Corinthians"
Pollo is very good at physics and astronomy. He's also very good at engineering. But he has a secret hyperfixation about aliens
Even though he often looks angry or annoyed, he may not be angry! He has a hard time showing emotions or facial expressions, so if you're in doubt as to whether he's okay or not, ask!
He has already caused 55 explosions in the Toppats' laboratory, and all of them were chemical experiments that went wrong
He's a workaholic and is always building something for the clan, he builds everything Reginald asks him to and has built some cyborg parts of RHM He has already had a medical license but lost it due to lack of proper care during surgeries (he slept during the surgery…. WAIT HE DID THE RHM SURGERY?!)
[edit]
He may sometimes act like a mad scientist and want to play god with science, this led to him losing his medical license XD
His gloves are gravity gloves that allow him to control and lift whatever he wants into the air

It felt weird doing school work on a Saturday, but I have done it before. I featured more of the yummy candy I received in the photo. I have eaten a little of it already, but I think it's going to last me several weeks, if not a couple of months. I do not eat candy much at all, which is strange because I love things that are sweet! Still, it's nice to have a treat at the end of the study day. I don't agree with giving food as a reward, but it feels that way, even though I would still eat it whether I finished all of my studying or not.
