Latest model Gundam Arial from the Witch from Mercury(WFM), the Primary hero unit piloted by Suletta. For those who have not watched the show I highly recommend commend it. Having watched all the other Gundam series this one has definitely earned a top spot IMO. The story is one of the best and not like every other one. The character development is excellent, the music and animation is top notch. We can’t forget the mechs each one unique and wonderfully designed.
That said this model is the Full Mechanics(FM) 1/100 scale model and it was an absolute joy to build. With a nice fairly simple build that was on a touch more complex then a High Grade(HG) but not quite the complexity of a Master grade (MG) build. The color separation and details are excellent. Not to mention it can pose up a storm with little to nothing getting in the way of mobility. With the way this unit built out I am really looking forward to another FM model in the line, I would love to see more WFM mobile suits get the 1/100 scale treatment. Case if they ended up being half as good as this kit this would still be awesome. If you’re thinking of giving Gunpla a try this kit will not disappoint, even if it is the only kit you decide to get.
On a side note this is also the first time I have ever used water slide decals. They where quite time consuming to do but I gotta say they really take the model to a whole other level. I think I will be doing them more going forward.
For those following I will be working on other Witch from Mercury units, it likely won’t be a full spread of the MS cast but it will be a good number of them.

I have watched a little Macross, including this movie! I don’t remember anything from Marcross Plus, but I know I’ve seen it! Honestly, I was just very curious how the Ban/Nam designers would do a Valkyrie, since transforming figures of these are very high end, and I think the final result works, though could be a little simplified in some areas.
The Good: For starters, this kit is very posable. The Battroid has a very good set of ranges, while the Girwalk has access to a lot of the same if you’re able to maneuver around the extended wings. The fighter doesn’t pose, but that’s to be expected.
The transformation is ok, focusing mostly on swapping out large core pieces, and doing a little bit of transforming, mostly of the legs, in order to achieve the desired form.
The Bad: The wing units are a little finicky. Apart from that, the transformation, while mostly solid, has a few oddities to it, like the swapping out of the back unit, or how the front skirt is always moved around and pegged into weird places.
The Details: I swapped between painting and using stickers quite a bit on this one. There’s plenty of standard panel lining, and I tried to use black paint most of the time, but there were a few instances where it was too much of a hassle? I also used metallic red on a few places, and did a simple paint scheme of the pilot suit.
Overall, it’s an interesting experience, though not my favorite. They recently revealed a second type of Valkyrie, and I don’t have any interest in doing any more of this style of Macross kits after the first one. I would say, if you like Macross, this is a great, cheap, and fairly fun experience, but if you’re just looking for a fun model kit your money would be better spent elsewhere.

It’s been like… four years since I built a Master Grade? At least this guy is pretty straightforward so far, no weird gimmicks.

This is the upcoming 1/100 scale Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial from The Witch From Mercury. This is the kind of way to get me interested in your new main Mobile Suit is by making a 1/100 scale version of it because I am more likely to get that over a 1/144 scale version.
