Hello, hello! It's me, the local dumbass that went "lol lets run this silly event" since January. I'd like to say thank you so much for participating!

I never thought that so many would look @ my blog event and go ":D lets go get matched w/ yans!" LIKE?? HELP WE GOT A LOT OF SUBMISSIONS SINCE DAY 1, IT MADE ME GO "oh shit" BAHAHAHAHA

But fr, I want to say thank you so much. To those who came in to join the matchup, to those who participated as anons to the story that was unfolding, and to those that were theorizing and even lurking:

Now! On the update + future plans:

The rest of the fics will be posted but slowly and will be saved as special dlc fics of One Last Call. This covers additional lore of the worldbuilding behind OLC, but there are some that won't be written (Freminet and Aether are unfortunately those I can't write as yanderes) to lessen the load. Also, some will be shorter/snippet wise, but we shall see.

I will be making a "story explained" post for OLC and the characters behind it. This goes into the possible "what ifs", the original draft of the story (storyboard lol), what each character would've been in my plans, and everything in between! (Also, there may or may not be drawn sketches for each of them. Maybe kek).

The next event will be happening on March. I won't elaborate what it'll be, but it will be indulgent and maybe a little funny (for me). It'll also last for a week at most so I don't end up burning myself out LMAOO

Finally, I will be hosting small event for Cupid, Eros, and Boss. They won't be big, but they will have their spots when I planned out what'll happen to them. (Hint: you guys are going to see them often on your feed if you know where to look ;>)

For now though, I will be finishing up the drabbles and pray I get them queued to finally archive this event. Also, I will be responding to asks + cleaning up my inbox again when I'm done :)

Once again, thank you everyone. I genuinely thought that running One Last Call will not work out back then (I told a few friends I was scared that it won't take off as it did), but I pushed through it anyway since I thought it'd be fun anyway. Listen... I was just going to leave NMR as a one shot at first ... but then people started asking for a part two ... and then I started thinking ... and then I just spiraled down from there.

A sneak peak into part 2 of No More Regrets...

A few days later, your on your way to your room when back at the dorms, when without warning, a rough hand grabs you by the arm in a strong grasp and shoves you up against the wall.

It takes a few seconds for you to get your bearings and realize that Bakugou is caging you in with his body. He's staring down at you with narrowed eyes and covering your mouth with his hand.

You gape up at him in bewilderment. Was there a villain in the dorms?? Was he trying to warn you??

You watch him press his lips together in a thin line, still eyeing you closely.

Scrunching his brows, he looks away from you, suddenly not meeting your eyes. He shifts his weight from foot to foot, almost awkwardly.

Your breath stuck in your throat when he moved his hand off your mouth and grazed your cheek.

You watched him with wide eyes as you felt him curl his fingers behind your neck and tangle in your hair.

You swallowed deeply when you met his eyes, almost flinching when you felt his breath on your now hot skin. His eyes are dark and you trace the way his throat dips with his shallow breathing.

His eyes dart to your lips and you feel your mouth fall open.

You jump when his other hand grips your waist and your eyes go even wider.

He was going to kiss you, you realize.

He leans down even closer, and you instinctively put your hands up to his chest to stop him.

You don't know why it felt so much more daunting than the first time you had done it, — that night at the beach, — your cheeks warm even further at the thought.

His eyes flash in annoyance, or impatience, and he pushes closer to you.

A startled noise escapes you and suddenly he's close enough for you to see the way his eyelashes leave shadows on his face and the angry flush flooding his cheeks.

He growls somewhere deep in his chest and pulls you toward him, tipping your head back with his forehead and catching your lips in his own.

in my hc the noble houses of menzoberranzan operate similarly to the houses in ice and fire where they’re constantly feuding with each other but instead of trying to take the throne/control of the whole realm they’re all fighting for lolth’s favour instead. and because they can’t outright declare war on each other (forgot the reason for why they can’t exactly do that but iirc lolth doesn’t like it?? she loves the drama I guess) and if they rise too quickly lolth casts them down so they have to be cunning about it. not to mention if they stay too long in power and do nothing about it that also displeases the spider queen so the nobility’s game of intrigue is constantly moving and working both for self gain and for self preservation.

shri’iia also plays the game but more of a pawn than a player. she’s not born from any noble house (she’s actually a commoner). the only reason why she has any foot in the game is that she’s taken in by the matriarch of faen tlabbar - one of the houses who fervently worships lolth to the point of zealotry - when they’ve heard word that she—a commoner—have managed to succeed lolth’s trials and gained her blessing. lolth blessings are rare to come and making someone a paladin is even more rare so for a zealot house, that’s a a sign they can’t pass up. so, the house matriarch takes her in and keeps in a tower where she’s supposed to pray and train to lolth day and night. the paladin oath that shri’iia swears is both for lolth and her matriarch; she swears to punish the enemies of her mistresses and forever keep her loyalty to them. her matriarch’s word is an extension to lolth’s will, so to disobey her will be disobeying lolth herself.

and ofc shri’iia being born poor with everything to give and nothing to lose, who thought that there is more to her life than a merchant’s daughter, to be known by the goddess she worship and noticed by one of the most influential houses in the city, swears herself to that oath. she never regretted that choice not even when she’s kept in that tower in complete isolation with her matriarch being the only person she could interact with.

#shri’iia’s backstory to me is like og fairy tale of rapunzel but instead of the witch raising her to be a daughter #the witch raised her to be a very well trained guard dog instead #see I’m just thinking; in a setting where subterfuge is key and the truth is what people is made to believe instead of the actual #factual truth .. the fact that you have a person that no one knows about and is unquestioningly loyal to you that is like your biggest #asset. since she can do everything for you and leave without a trace and no one can link it back to you nor accuse you of being the one #responsible. like in ice and fire she’d be the equivalent of varys’ little birds but she’s only one person lol #anyway does shri’iia develop a toxic codependent relationship with her matriarch? ofc she does #shes trapped in that tower for 100+ years and that’s the only person #not to mention constant isolation can fuck up your mind so ofc she gets obsessed with her. and her matriarch KEEPS her obsessed esp in a #city where you’re not supposed to trust anyone .. her matriarch says that shri’iia is the only person she trusts so ofc she’ll feel special #and this is also why she feels so out of place and paranoid in act 1 events where she gets kidnapped and dropped off on the surface #bc not only that’s her first time being in the surface she also hasn’t gone outside nor interacted with anyone in a long time #and her choice of being compliant and following instead of asserting her own dominance and being a general menace as expected for lolth’s #followers is a survival tactic since she literally doesn’t know what to do or how to go home #and that’s the first choice she had made for herself in so fucking long and that’s what also leads her to her oath breaking #= which is being free from lolth’s dogma and her mistress essentially #anyway I have more thoughts abt this but I’m like … it makes sense.. TO ME ..!

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐎𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐌𝐄𝐓 ❣

I can definitely imagine both of you meeting in a confectionary shop.

Dain would be casually strolling by, on his way to grab a quick bite on his work break. While he's on his way, his eyes catch on the glittering gold shelves lined with chocolates and sweets in the confectionary shop, mouth-watering cakes and pastries sitting enticingly near the windows.

He doesn't exactly know how he ended up inside, perhaps it was the tempting tangle of sweet scents or sheer impulse. It's when he's entering does he come across you; reaching for a box of sweets on the highest shelf, fingers barely grazing against the sweet you so badly wanted even though you were on the tip of your toes. The box nearly slips into your grasp, but you lose your footing, the world tilting sideways.

In a quick instant, Dain walks over and reaches out for you, pulling you upright before deftly grabbing hold of the box of sweets and casually passing it to you. You turn around, a billion 'thank-yous' burning on the tip of your tongue when he hastily walks out of the shop.

One moment you're staring dumbfoundedly into the blank space he once occupied, the next your scrambling out of the shop with a box of un-paid sweets, chasing after the gleam of golden hair.

He pauses after several of your calls, watching as you run up to him, panting. With a quick mutter of how you hate running under your breath, you muster a smile before releasing a plethora of thank-yous.

Honestly, Dain can't be more surprised by the fact that you took all that effort to thank him. He awkwardly mutters "you're welcome," before turning once again to leave.

Unsatisfied with yourself, you catch his arm to stop him, mind blanking in a panic about what to say. Fumbling slightly with your words, you ask if you could get him something. A swift refusal slips halfway from his mouth until he captures your hopeful expression.

With a reluctant nod, he follows after you. Dain eventually ends up back at the confectionery shop seated across from you, thinking to himself how exactly he got himself into this surprisingly pleasant scenario (he accidentally ended up coming back late for work).

And that's how the two of you met :D

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐄 ❣

Your fictional trope would definitely be the sunshine x grumpy, with you as the gremlin sunshine and Dain as the grumpy boy with an ever-growing soft spot for you (and your reluctant partner in causing chaos) <3

𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐅𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐒 ❣

Goofy moments with Dainslief are rare but very indulgent when they do occur.

Dainslief stares at the blank canvas absolutely lost on how to start his painting. Meanwhile, you sit across him, humming happily as you paint away with careless abandon, taking breaks to study his features for your painting.

Your humming comes to an end, capturing Dain's curiosity. He glances over to find you mindlessly pouring bright paint on your fingers. He shrugs it off, thinking you probably were trying out some finger painting.

That is until you creep up behind him with paint-covered hands and plant them firmly on his clothed chest.

Your laughs resound throughout the room as you stare at his shirt now decorated with your handprints in a mildly inappropriate place, Dainslief's horrified expression adding more to your laughter till tears welled up in the corner of your eyes.

Without thinking, Dain dips his own fingers in paint and smears it on your face, putting a halt to your laughter.

Then war broke out.

Needless to say, you both ended up drenching the entire room and yourselves in colour instead of the canvases.

-> EXTRA! Dain still has the shirt which has your handprints and wears it occasionally when he's at home, a constant reminder of that one precious memory with you.

𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 ❣

Your sweetest moments usually happen when Dainslief arrives from a tiring day or when he's worn out, craving your affection, warmth and attention. He'll tackle you into a hug on sight, and mumble sweet nothings into your ear, which leads into a soft cuddle-kiss session ♡ If dain is especially drained out he'll try to convince you to take a nap with him, which eventually turns into full-on sleeping

-> EXTRA! When you fall asleep first, dain lightly cradles your cheek with a small smile, wondering how he got someone so perfect and special.
