I basically had the drums and guitars playing upstairs and ran mics down the stairs and had Gerard sing in the bathroom.” What came out of those sessions were the blueprints for “Our Lady of Sorrows” (original title: “Bring More Knives”), “Cubicles” and “Turnstiles.” “You could hear that it was something really new, and it was kind of a weird idea, but for some reason, as poorly as it was coming together, it really worked,” remembers Gerard. “And a lot of people loved the demo.”

“We met once a week for the next four weeks to practise,” said Gerard. “It seemed that anything was possible at that point. Ray wrote “Our Lady of Sorrows” – which was the second complete song we had. It fitted because it didn’t really fit. That was something we always wanted to do – to put songs together that shouldn’t work together but do. This song was really aggro and metal – there were bits we cribbed off Helloween in it. There were a lot of bizarre references around that time.

“The genesis of the sound came from sitting in Ray’s room in his Mom and Dad’s apartment that he shared with his brothers and sitting at his computer with two guitars and just talking about the sound a lot. We were completely on the same page about it, 100 per cent.”

Initially called ‘Bring More Knives’, this was written by Ray Toro and was the second song MCR ever completed. “There were bits we cribbed off (old school metallers) Helloween in it,” says Gerard. “It came from sitting in Ray’s room in his mom and dad’s apartment, sitting at his computer with two guitars and just talking about the sound a lot.”

I counted 14 mon (crest) designed for the movie.

With the Inumaki mon, that's 15 that are (kinda~) canon.

Here are some possible mon designs for the Three Great Families:

Gojo clan

Sugawara no Michizane, who the Gojo are descendants of, doesn't have a mon I can find in particular. Mon didn't really become a thing until the mid-Heian period, but he is associated with the plum blossom mon. They're used for Tenmagu shrines (dedicated to the deification of Michizane) since it's believed he loved plum blossoms.

Then there's this crest of the real life Gojo clan who are descendants of Michizane. A triple pine tree with branches.

Zen'in clan

First, I need to explain why Taira no Masakado is the Three Vengeful Spirit the Zen'in are descendants of. Basically, it stems from the saying, "If you are not from the Zen'in clan, you are not a jujutsu sorcerer. If you are not a jujutsu sorcerer, you are not human." Which is something Nishimiya quotes. That quote is actually based on, "If you are not a Heike, you are not human." The Heike is referring to the Taira clan, which Masakado was a part of. Ok, now that I've got my explanation out of the way...

The swallowtail butterfly is the Taira clan's mon. I like how it even looks a bit like (respectfully) a curse or shikigami. lol.

Kamo clan

That leaves Emperor Sutoku as the last of the Three Great Vengeful Spirits. As Emperor, you'd expect Sutoku's mon to be the Imperial Seal of Japan, a 16-petalled chrysanthemum.

But that wasn't adopted until 1183, whereas Sutoku reigned from February 25, 1123–January 5, 1142. I would've been iffy about a family adopting the imperial family's crest during the Heian period anyway. Seems kinda blasphemous. lol. But maybe if it's a modified version of it? Actually, as long as it's not 16-petals, I think it's quite possible to use it as a family crest.

Lukadrien Fluffuary (using this prompt list) Day 23: Forehead Kiss/Touch Prev | Next Read it on Ao3 Words: 1142 Rating: T Tags: Post-Reveal Lukadrien, Married, Soft, Silly A bowl of mostly eaten popcorn sat on the coffee table accompanied by candy wrappers and empty cans of sodas. It was Luka’s idea to have a movie marathon. A lazy night in, just the two of them. They watched their favorite movies together, quoting the best lines, singing the songs, throwing popcorn for the other to catch in their mouths, and sharing all of the little facts they knew about each film.

They were over halfway through the fourth movie of the night when Luka stretched out across the couch. His body took up the length of the sofa, crossing over Adrien’s lap so that his head was propped up on what should have been his husband’s soft armrest.

“Just getting more comfortable.” Luka said with a yawn.

“Suuuure, you are.” Adrien knew better.

He couldn’t help but reach down and play with his husband’s long black and blue hair. Even though he knew it would only prove to lure Luka to sleep faster. Adrien turned his attention back to the screen, but it was only a few minutes later that he heard a shift in Luka’s breathing. When he looked down the man was fast asleep.

Adrien laughed softly and whispered. “That’s what I thought, babe."

When the credits did eventually roll, Adrien found that his own eyes were sleepy. That was enough movies for the night. Of course now there was the issue of getting off the couch.

He looked down at Luka to see a face illuminated in warm light from the lamp they’d left on. The blonde couldn’t help the way he admired every feature as if they were details of a priceless piece of art. His fingers traced along Luka’s jawline, amused to feel the stubble there. Then his eyes landed on lips he had kissed countless times. Lips he’d kiss countless more.

Because this was his soulmate.

His love.

His husband.

“I can’t believe you’re mine.” Adrien kept his voice low as he leaned down and lightly kissed Luka’s forehead. “You’re so beautiful.”

When Adrien pulled back, blue eyes were blinking back up at him.

“Is that all I am to you… a pretty face?” Luka teased, though he certainly knew the answer.

“No.” Adrien breathed out with fervor and devotion that Luka hadn’t been prepared for.

That one word struck directly to the guitarist’s heart. The weight behind it brought to mind other things Adrien had told him in the past. Words of understanding, adoration, devotion, and love.

Adrien had simply said No.

But Luka heard, “You are always there for others, let me be the one who’s there for you. Your feelings matter too.”

Adrien had simply said No.

But Luka heard, “I’m starting to think that maybe, just maybe, our inner melodies are meant to be played together.”

Adrien had simply said No.

But Luka heard, “I adore you. No one makes me feel the way that you do. I love your heart, your soul. Luka, I love you.”

Adrien had simply said No.

But Luka heard, “M’love, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

When Luka's body caught up with his mind he was gripping Adrien’s pajama shirt. He tugged on it and Adrien complied enthusiastically. Their lips crashed together with passion. Luka let out a content hum that was answered by the purr rumbling from his husband’s chest.

When they finally parted Adrien narrowed his eyes and shot Luka a very not-so-innocent looking grin. “All I said was ‘No.’ Didn’t mean to get you all worked up.”

Luka rolled his eyes. “That is not how you said it.”

“Sure it is, you asked if I thought you were just a pretty face and I said—“

“No.” Luka cut Adrien off by imitating exactly how he had said it earlier.

To which Adrien paused for a moment only to lean back down and kiss Luka all over again.

When they parted for the second time, Luka laughed. “See what I mean?”

“Yeah, I think I do—” Adrien’s words were interrupted by a yawn he couldn’t stifle.

They both laughed sleepily at the interruption.

“I think we could both use some rest, my Muse.”

“Yeah, but I’d like to sleep in our bed. Which requires you getting up.”

Luka groaned as the sleepiness hit him again with full force. “I want to sleep in our bed too."

“Pfft. Well, then get up.” Adrien chuckled and nudged him but the taller man didn’t seem to want to move at all.

After a few seconds Luka sighed. “Fine."

Then he proceeded to take the blanket with him as he rolled off the couch and landed unceremoniously in the floor.

“Well that’s one way to do it.” Adrien stood up on the couch cushion and hopped easily over the back. He walked into the bedroom only to turn around when he realized Luka wasn’t following him. “So… you coming or what?”

“Snakes can’t walk.” Luka’s groggy voice was muffled into the blanket.

“Oh really?” Adrien’s lips curved into a smile. He loved that he was the one who got to see Luka’s silliest side the most often. “Well, I guess you’re slithering to bed then? Better get to it.”

“Adrieeen.”

The floor was hardwood and Adrien knew from constantly sliding around in his socks what Luka had in mind. So, he walked over and grabbed the edge of the blanket Luka was wrapped in.

The blonde shook his head as he spoke, “You know, I’m afraid if I don’t do this you’ll actually sleep on the floor. Which I’m purr-ty sure you’d regret in the morning."

Adrien began pulling on the blanket. Luka was easy enough to slide into the bedroom. Once he got him to the side of the bed Adrien let go.

“Well, that’s your stop.” The blonde crawled into bed. All the while laughing at the groan from Luka’s direction. “I’m glad we have such a nice, comfy bed. So warm and cozy. With these awesome pillows. It’d be too bad if I had to sleep here alone.”

Adrien got under the comforter and counted to three silently.

He heard Luka sigh, then watched as the man lazily crawled up into the bed to join him.

“It is pretty comfy.” Luka agreed, his words barely comprehensible because of his sleepy state.

Adrien cuddled close and wrapped his arms around his husband. The contact bringing on a soft content purr. “Love you”

“Love you too.”

Plagg and Sass had been woken up by Luka's flop onto the floor and watched the scene unfold.

"Was all of that really necessary? Our holders are strange." Plagg observed.

"They're also the best we've ever had." Sass said matter-of-factly.

The black kwami nodded in agreement. "They are. Strange and the best aren't mutually exclusive my friend. They are living proof of that."

Don't Say Gay Bill pt.3

Oklahoma's bullshit, buckle up folks this will be long.

SB 1142 libraries would be prohibited from making any book available that "make of their primary subject the study of sex, sexual preferences, sexual activity, sexual perversion, sex based classifications, sexual identity, or gender identity or books that are of a sexual nature that a reasonable parent or legal guardian would want to know of or approve of prior to their child being exposed to it"

Overall bill prohibits libraries from maintaining or promoting books as the bill states, and says it's an emergency. Someone desperately wants to play out Farenheight 451 irl. "Make as their primary subject the study of sex, sexual lifestyles, or sexual activity...." there is not distinction made as to elementary middle or high school, simply public schools. It appears as if the bit about sexual identity or gender identity was removed since the original article I read was written, which is nice to see but also I shouldnt have to spell it out why setting the groundwork for legally banning books is bad.

SB 1654 similar ban to above ("make as their primary subject the study of lesbian, gay bisexual, or transgender issues or recreational sexualization") but extends the prohibition to teachers.

Seems to be outlining that students should not be required to attend a sex ed class. This is how you get teen pregnancies and STDs. The exact quote from the article is still present, so a high school library in Oklahoma should this be passed wouldnt be allowed to have any LGBTQ books. And LGBTQ is being lumped in with recreational sex, tells you something about how they view us.

SB 1141 would bar public colleges/universities from requiring students to enroll in any course "that addresses any form of gender, sexual, or racial diversity, equality, or inclusion." This goes hand in hand with HB 1775 which was passed last year and applies a similar ban to college training and counseling.

Quote from article is present, however their is a distinction that course a part of the core requirement. Obviously a response to CRT and they dont understand it.

SB 1470 forbid public schools from employing any person who "promotes positions in the classroom or at any function of the public school that is in opposition to closely held religious beliefs of students"

Exactly as stated, worrying because outside of outright religous discrimination, it would be actual facts getting targeted like LGBTQ discussions or evolution

HB 614 requires colleges/universities to offer an "unbiased education that does not endorse, favor, promote, demean, show hostility toward or intentionally undermine any particular religion, non religous faith or religous persective"

Starting off by essentially restating the first amendment. And yeah, "the right to an unbiased education that does not endorse, favor, or promote socialism, communism or Marxism and that is free from anti-american bias"

The Sakya school is one of four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, the others being the Nyingma, Kagyu, and Gelug. It is one of the Red Hat Orders along with the Nyingma and Kagyu. The name Sakya ("pale earth") derives from the unique grey landscape of the Ponpori Hills in southern Tibet near Shigatse, where Sakya Monastery, the first monastery of this tradition, and the seat of the Sakya School was built by Khon Konchog Gyalpo (1034-1102) in 1073.

The Sakya tradition developed during the second period of translation of Buddhist scripture from Sanskrit into

Tibetan in the late 11th century. It was founded by Drogmi, a famous scholar and translator who had studied at the Vikramashila directly under Naropa, Ratnakarasânti, Vagishvakirti and other great panditas from India for twelve years.

Khon Konchog Gyalpo became Drogmi's disciple on the advice of his elder brother.

The tradition was established by the "Five Venerable Supreme Masters" starting with the grandson of Khonchog Gyalpo, Sachen Kunga Nyingpo, who became known as Sachen, or "Great Sakyapa" Sachen Kunga Nyingpo (1092-1158)

“What are you still doing here Miss Brooks? It’s Friday night.” Professor Rys leaned against the door when he saw Riley sitting at the desk alone.

“Honestly, I have this horrible professor that decided to give us a major experiment due on Monday.” Riley smiled at him.

Professor Rys cocked his head to the side and softly chuckled as he was the offending professor.

“Yes, horrible indeed. I’m sure you’re probably almost done by now. You had picked…”

He snapped his finger. “Memory? Am I right?”

“Yes, you are.”

“And what was your premise?”

“People are more likely to remember the sequence of words that I randomly selected for them when they are congruent to their gender, or should I say what is stereotypical to their gender.”

He nodded his head with a smile.

“And what is the data telling you so far?”

“That I’m totally right.”

“I would hope you said it a little more eloquently than that. That’s not going to fill ten pages.”

“You should see the font it’s going to be written in.”

Professor Rys took off his glasses, shaking his head while he laughed at her.

Riley had quite the sense of humor, and he loved that about her.

“Gather your things Miss Brooks I have to lock up.”

Riley quickly gathered her things while Liam patiently waited for her, turning off the light as she walked out the door.

“I’ll walk you to your dorm.”

“You do realize, we have a safe campus.”

“And if you fell in a sinkhole and perished, I’d never forgive myself.”

“You’re really never going to let that go are you?”

His phone began to ring, interrupting their conversation as they walked, talked and laughed with each other. Glancing down at his phone, it was Hana.

“You can get that, if you need to.” Riley said, glancing in the other direction.

“No it’s alright.” He let Hana’s call go to voicemail. “You have my undivided attention Miss Brooks.”

“We’re not in class, you can call me Riley, Professor Rys.”

“Only if you call me Liam.”

“Are you sure about that?”

“It’s just a name, we all have one.”

“That’s one way to look at it. And by the way, I’m not that interesting to warrant undivided attention.”

“I beg to differ, Riley, since I’ve met you, you have a very unique outlook on the world. It’s very intriguing.”

“That means a lot coming from someone like you.” He noticed even in the pale light that Riley was blushing.

“Someone decrepit and senile like me that still says ‘Yolo’ and has one foot in the grave?”

“That’s not even close to what I said.”

“It really is.”

Riley’s phone beeped. She glanced down at it, and sighed.

“Guess I’m ordering a pizza and hanging out in the lobby for a bit.”

“What’s wrong?”

“My roommate has her boyfriend over for some ‘quality time.’ So I can’t go back to my room yet.”

Riley air quoted the term “quality time.”

“Oh…” Riley was irritated so Liam tried to lighten the mood a bit.

“I’m a pizza snob. Tony’s is the only place to order from in this area that I can tolerate.”

“Me too, that’s where i’m about to call. I can’t eat the whole pizza by myself. Are you hungry?”

Liam was silent for a few moments.

“I shouldn’t have asked that, that’s weird isn’t it?”

“No it’s just that….”

“You have plans, it’s Friday night.”

“I don’t have plans, and I’d really like pizza. But only if you let me pay or it.”

“I don’t turn down free food.”

Riley swiped her identification badge and Liam opened the double doors but he hesitated stepping back. Riley caught the door before it closed.

“Maybe this isn’t a good idea. Even if it is just the lobby. Would you be willing to go to the Faculty lounge, and I’ll walk you back here later?”

“Is there a television in the faculty lounge?”

“And crappy basic cable.”

“Then I’m okay with that.”

They headed back across the lawn towards the student center. Liam used his badge to unlock the faculty lounge.

“Ooooh fancy, smancy. You guys even have a fancy keurig in here.”

Liam laughed out loud, watching Riley walk around the staff lounge area, as he was on hold with the Pizzaria.

Riley’s phone buzzed, it was Drake texting. Why was she paranoid? She wasn’t doing anything wrong. But she didn’t feel right about telling him she was about to eat dinner with her professor.

Drake: Hey, what are you up tonight?

Riley: Study session ran late. Breaking for some pizza.

Drake: I’ll come over, i’m starving.

Riley: Actually I’m not at my dorm.

Drake: Oh. Maybe I can see you later?

Riley: I’ll text you when I get home.

It was not long before Liam brought back the pizza and drinks.

“I hope you’re hungry, I ordered the supreme.”

“Looks great. I just can’t have the soda, too much sugar. Considering the other stuff i’ve eaten today.”

He didn’t appear to be judging her, but she thought she would clarify it for him.

“I’m type one diabetic, insulin dependent.”

“Oh! I didn’t know that, I didn’t even think about ordering a sugar free option for the soda. I’m so sorry Riley, I should have asked.”

“It’s no big deal.”

“It is.”

He went through the fridge.

“How do you feel about Diet Cheerwine?”

“Tell me you’re not about to steal someone’s soda and give it to me?”

“Steal is a strong word. Besides, I’ll replace it before Monday. Someone took my greek yogurt last week. Karma is a bitch.”

“Fair enough.” Riley took the drink from him.

About half way through the movie, Liam felt his phone buzz again, he glanced at Riley again, who was cackling at the screen, and he turned off the phone.

They were watching a movie that was nothing but slapstick humor. It was clear Riley had seen the movie multiple times from her laughter, and quoting the movie. Riley had gotten comfortable taking off her shoes revealing mismatched socks which Liam thought was endearing.

When she noticed him staring at her socks she simply commented. “They don’t match, but they’re clean.”

“No judgment here.”

Half way through the movie Riley had to go to the restroom.

“I’ll be right back.”

“I’d say I’d pause it, but this is basic cable!”

Riley came running back into the room.

“I didn’t miss it did I?”

She slipped in her socks. Liam with his lightning fast reflexes caught her in his arms before she fell.

“I’m not complaining.” She whispered.

Her eyes closed as Liam gently stroked her cheek, and just as his lips were about to meet hers, Liam stopped.

“There’s something pulling us to each other. Do you feel it?”

“Yes, I feel it too.”

He closed his eyes at her admission.

“But, I can’t do this. We can’t do this. I’m seeing someone.”

He rested his forehead on hers.

Riley had to be honest as well. “So am I.”
