i think tumblr deserves the massive infodump i did in the comments of a youtube clip. for context, its a clip of q!cellbit and q!bbh's conversation of trust
tl;dr at the bottom btw :3
this is one of the most complex clips ive seen in a while from this server. and its all because of a change in character.
bagi and cellbit finding out they're twins seemed to unlock something in cellbit that had been hidden since he escaped from prison. hes been slowly leaning into the mindset he held during the war ever since the eggs disappeared but now hes /actively/ thinking about that time in his life because of bagis pressure. hes regressed back to how he used to be. the kid he was when he would chop and eat people to survive. the kid who slowly grew addicted to the rush and the taste until it was all he knew how to do. that same kid that bad knew. thats ultimately why he trusts him so much. bad has not said a word about how cellbit used to be, and cellbit is both ashamed and trusting. ashamed because he used to be like that, thats how he spent under a decade of his life and only one person knew it. and of course trusting because/only one person knew./ i also think that at a subconscious level cellbit confessed this all to bad because he used to see him as a father figure. hell, cellbit was 13 and bbh was hundreds of years older, there is no doubt in my mind that bad was a place of comfort and a place free of judgement for that cellbit. but he also confessed because he wanted the comfort he had gotten those years ago. cellbit was surviving everyday in a crazy new environment with only bad to guide him through it and hold his hand. thats why he tells him. because he's scared they'll go back there and needs bad again. needs bad to trust him with his life again. but thats not what happens. well, in someways it is. but bad can't comfort him. because he isn't any more sane. they've both lost their minds and bad wether he wants to or not enables cellbit in a certainly dangerous way. they're both dead set on their goals. they both know what the have to do. they've both done this before. they're listening to the same song, but one of them is blasting out their eardrums. they get each other. and they'll stay with each other. and no one else can take them out of this scary fucking mindset
tldr; both q!cellbit and q!bbh are fucked up and they enable each other. not to mention the cycles gonna be damn hard to break.

Whumptober WIP
So this one will be for Day 13: Are you here to break me out?
Featuring a much softer, not quite sithywan and a Cody who is completely over the war. It has also gotten a bit out of control so I’ll be posting it as the first chapter of its own fic and finishing it after whumptober.
“Hello there.”
Cody pauses outside of the cell, trying to make out the shape of the being who spoke to him from the shadows. Pale fingers curl around the bars and Cody can just barely make out the fact that the speaker is a man with messy ginger hair shot through with white and a beard that is just as unruly. He looks like he hasn’t seen the light in years, skin sallow and eyes edged with dark circles. He is too thin, his ragged clothes hanging off of him, and his eyes are the faint gold of the first rays of the morning sun.
He can do nothing but draw his blaster, making the man scramble back in terror, and he holds his hands up placating and soothing, not having thought about how his actions might look. “I’m just going to blow the lock off of the door. I’m not going to hurt you.”
Cody does just as he explained, and the door comes open with a groan as though no one has opened it in years. The man steps out of the cell warily, watching Cody like he might change his mind and decide to attack him and shuffles back a step when Cody holds out his hand. Cody can see more of him now, painfully thin and clearly abused, and he hopes that the Jedi put Dooku in a grave just as Dooku and his army have put so many of Cody’s brothers in the ground.
“Let’s get you out of here. You can get cleaned up, and one of our medics can tend to your injuries. And we can get you a warm meal.”
Cody doesn’t know what they have that isn’t slop or ration bars, but he thinks those options might both be okay with the newly freed prisoner. The man doesn’t respond, instead holding up his hands, likely hoping that Cody will remove the cuffs he wears. His wrists are badly chafed beneath them, some spots raw and possibly infected, and Cody isn’t about to make him wait until they reach the medics to be free of the cuffs. Projecting his intention, he grasps the link between the cuffs and points his blaster down at it, carefully aiming at the floor where it will not hit either of them. The cuffs clatter away, and the man makes a sharp sound and sways into him, narrowly avoiding collapsing to the floor only because Cody gets hands around him.
“You feel like the sun. I haven’t felt the sun in so long.” He whispers the words and then goes limp in Cody’s arms, and Cody hefts him up, wincing at how light he feels for a human of his size.
He hands the man over to the medics when he gets outside, and he doesn’t think much about him while they complete their mission, freeing the few remaining prisoners and defeating Dooku and his droids. He feels satisfaction at the knowledge that Dooku opted against surrender, pleased that he has faced the same fate as so many of Cody’s brothers. There will be far feeer casualties moving forward, and if they are lucky, when the clean up is over, perhaps they will be granted citizenship and freedom.
He is staring out at the stars unable to sleep when the wraith of a man finds him, clad only in a hospital gown and draped in a thin sheet. He is still pale and battered, but he has showered, and his injuries have been tended. Cody wants to usher him back to medical, knows he should probably be hooked to half a dozen IVs, but he leans against the viewport with such a wistful expression, that Cody doesn’t dare to chase him back to bed.
“Thank you for freeing me. My apologies for fainting. It has been awhile since I have felt the Force, and it was a bit overwhelming to feel so much all at once.” Eyes dart to his, blue now instead of gold, and Cody wonders if it is a characteristic of his species or if it was simply a trick of the light.
“You’re a Jedi?”
The man shakes his head. “I was. I don’t know what I am now.” He has a soft, core worlds accent, though it sounds a bit raspy, likely from disuse.
“What do you want to be?” Cody doesn’t know what possesses him to ask the question. He doesn’t even know his name.
“Free,” is his whispered answer, and a tear tracks its way down his cheek, and that is a sentiment Cody understands. He has wanted nothing but freedom for himself and his brothers for months now.
The man sways when he moves to step away from the viewport, and Cody catches him again. He doesn’t protest when he scoops him up, instead tucking his head under his chin. He is asleep by the time Cody delivers him to Triage, and he lingers as they get him reattached to all of their machines. The screen closest to his bed lists his name as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Cody commits it to his memory.

Amanda The Adventurer is still included In my Au, ive just been on an Unreality Puppets grind.
For funsies here's some basic info about the two
Amanda [Rebecca] Colton, Age 13: Amanda Escaped the tapes shortly after the near apocalyptic disaster happened. 20 years had passed, and nothing was the same to her. Stuck alone in the old house the tapes were in, she began to make plans for survival, and to figure out where Hameln is hiding themselves.
Almost a year into freedom, she was cursed and gained a couple of inhuman attributes, such as claws, a tail, sharper teeth, and four more eyes. Surprisingly, she enjoys this curse. She wants to use it against Hameln, but she still has no idea where to look without putting herself or Wooly in danger....she wants the help of the one named "Judgment". But she doesn't know where to look for him either.
Extra fact: She can travel through televisions as long as they're on!!
Wooly [Wyatt REDACTED INFORMATION], Age 16: Wooly was brought out of the tapes a year and a half after Amanda got freed. Whoever freed her in the first place could only do it with one person. When Amanda was let out, Hamelns CEO was furious. Rebecca was gone. And only Wooly was left....
Amanda got Wooly out of the virtual prison through Hamelns televisions. But Wooly hasn't been the same since he got freed. He was a mess when Amanda found him. She isn't sure what Hameln did to him, but she knows she's going to make them pay for that as well. Wooly doesn't remember as much about the past as Amanda does, however as time goes on he seems to regain memories of when he and Rebecca were alive...
Wooly has yet to be cursed.
[please do not tag this as Amanda x Wooly.]

Prisoner Chapter IV (Yan!Dr.KujoxBlack!Femreader)
Hey, it's been a while! I do apologize for taking so long, besides being busy with work, I've been dealing with mental health stuff. I also apologize for the short chapter. Also, lmk if you want part of the taglist!
Enjoy!
Chapter I
Chapter II
Chapter III
TW: Mental health, suicide mention, and ableist language
@chaichaiiskai
You lay in bed, feeling like you just left an acupuncture appointment. The only bright side to dealing with needles was that you got to eat lunch right after. Despite being in your room most of the day, you were brought some books to curb boredom. Your personal favorite out of the collection is, “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. You hear another knock at the door. Nurse Lynn walks in with a bag full of clothing and a pair of shoes.
“They just finished checking everything. They only kept your other pair of shoes because they have laces.” She mentions while placing the bag on your bed. You thank her as she leaves to tend to another patient. You sort out the clothes, wondering which one to wear today. You find your favorite simple blue shirt with Sonic the Hedgehog printed in the middle. Alongside, you pick out some plain black sweatpants and some slippers. Something about having your own clothes makes you a little more comfortable. You quickly grab your toiletries to hop in the shower.
As a graduate student, one of the requirements for Jotaro’s degree was to shadow more experienced psychiatrists. For one of the psychiatrists, he had to observe an appointment involving a 13-year-old girl. Walking into the office, he couldn’t help but notice the cramped space. The room felt incredibly tiny but the girl in front of him looked even smaller. Well, at least compared to the 6’5 30-year-old.
“Ok, Ms. (L/N), right? I am Dr. Lewenski and I have a medical student observing us today if that’s alright with you.” He says, not even looking into the young girl’s eyes. Something that Jotaro definitely noticed and it annoyed him. The young girl only nodded, afraid to make eye contact with either man. The doctor proceeds to log into his laptop to prepare for the interview.
“What brings you in today?”
“I was referred to you by the local hospital.”
“Ah yes, I see the file they sent over. You were admitted to St. Mary’s for a suicide attempt via overdose. Is that correct?”
“Yes sir.” The young girl mumbles with her arms crossed. The silent giant can’t help but notice the doctor’s lack of life when talking. He doesn’t want to be there.
“Well, how have things been so far?”
“I don’t think the medicine is helping, I still feel bad and I’ve been crying a lot. Even going to school has been hard because of my classmates calling me a ‘psycho’” She confesses, on the verge of tears. Unfortunately, the doctor couldn’t care less and wanted this appointment over with.
“Since you were only put on the medication a week ago, I would give it more time. With those kinds of medications, it gets worse before it gets better. I’ll see you again in a month.” The doctor deadpans before giving her a paper with her information printed out. Despite her dejected appearance, she slowly nods and abruptly leaves the room.
Jotaro finds himself extremely irritated. Despite her records being right in front of him, the neglectful doctor couldn’t be bothered to actually check on her current state.
“He didn’t even make eye contact…” He whispers to himself in disgust. He honestly felt for the young girl, being so young with a disease you can’t easily get rid of like the common cold. The fact that the doctor was so unengaged was baffling and almost infuriating.
When Dr. Lewenski left for lunch, Jotaro used his laptop that he conveniently left behind to find out more information about the young girl. He wasn’t sure what to expect, but it wasn’t certainly such crass statements from her mother.
‘So you’re telling me she’s crazy?’
‘That girl has always been troublesome…’
‘Can she be fixed?’
Jotaro almost slammed the laptop shut in fury but he knows he has to keep going. If no one is going to help this girl, he will…
You leave the shower, feeling refreshed and not as sluggish. While changing into your clothes, you notice the sun going down. Despite the window bars, you can still appreciate its beauty. You hear a soft knock before seeing one of the nurses walk in.
“Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Dr. Kujo wants to see you before dinnertime. When you’re finished I’ll be waiting outside.” The nurse explains. You nod in understanding and put on your slippers. You hope to God you won’t be here for very long.

On July 10th 1451 James III King of Scots was born in St Andrews, Fife, son of King James II and Mary of Gueldres.
A bit of a messy reign this one had, but not completely his fault. His father, James II, died when he was nine. This naturally guaranteed a power struggle between his guardians. For a while, a council ruled by his mother, Mary of Gueldres, and Bishop James Kennedy ruled, but they were also into playing games with the English. Civil war in the south allowed them to bargain back Berwick, thereby annoying Edward IV of England.
Then when he was 13 and both his mother and the bishop had died, James III was abducted by the brothers Boyd, one of whom, Sir Alexander Boyd, was Keeper of Edinburgh Castle and instructor in chivalric matters to the youth. James' reign finally began about 1469, after he married Margaret, daughter of Christian I of Denmark. One Boyd was executed, the other exiled.
The poor boy's troubles continued, with two adult brothers and their respective camp followers to hassle him. One died in his bath, in which he was being bled, at that time a supposed cure for various ailments. He was also in James' custody at that time, being accused of being involved with witches and warlocks. The other brother was Alexander, Duke of Albany, who was a right pain. He was also in custody for a while for the same reason as his brother, but escaped to France to continue his claims to the throne.
Trouble with England broke out again, over various border raids. Edward IV began to support Albany. James might have coped with all of this, but his nobles had other, less loyal plans. They were less than supportive for various reason, one major one being the company which James was keeping; artists, musicians, lower levels in other words than themselves.
Some of James' friends were lynched by the nobles, James was a prisoner in Edinburgh, and Albany moved into Edinburgh with his English friends. The wheeling and dealing began, ending with James being set free, and Albany regaining his lands, at least until James outplayed him and sent him back to exile. In England, Henry VII emerged the winner from their turmoils, and settled peaceably with James. Peace in Scotland however was bad news for the greedy graspers in the wild, wild, borders area, and trouble started all over again.
Eventually James III, with northern followers, met the Border lairds, led by his 15-year-old son James. At the battle of Sauchieburn, three miles south-west of Stirling, on 11th June 1488, the son emerged the victor. James III was found dead the next morning near Bannockburn, having escaped from the battle site. Dirty deeds had been done. The son, soon to be James IV, felt guilt all his life about the death of his father, wearing a metal chain round his body as penance.

Today we remember those who died while serving in the armed forces. First celebrated in the years following the #AmericanCivilWar #MemorialDay became an official holiday in 1971. 1: Lincoln Collection, Currier & Ives Lithographs 1844-90. 2: Lincoln Collection Sheet Music 1836-78
This lithograph and sheet music represent only one piece of Memorial Day history. The history of Memorial Day, previously known as Decoration Day, can be traced back to Charleston, SC in 1865. In mid-1864, Confederate forces had converted a Charleston race track into a prison, to hold between 6,000 and 10,000 Union captives who had been evacuated from Georgia prisons. The captives suffered harsh conditions including starvation, disease, and the indignity of being paraded into town, where some Black Charlestonians would sneak pieces of bread to the captives, at risk of being punished for doing so. At least 257 Union soldiers died during their imprisonment there.
In autumn, under a worsening yellow fever outbreak, Confederate officials relocated the prison to Florence, SC, leaving behind the Union dead in unmarked graves.  Black Charlestonians worked to build a proper burial ground at the race course, and reconsecrate the soldiers’ graves. They then organized a memorial event held on May 1, 1865. An estimated 10,000 people attended the event which included processions, singing, speeches, and laying of flowers.
Learn more about the role of Black Charlestonians in the founding of Memorial Day in David W. Blight’s book “Race and Reunion: The Civil War in American Memory” (http://pi.lib.uchicago.edu/1001/cat/bib/12407286), and “Denmark Vesey’s garden: slavery and memory in the cradle of the Confederacy,” by Kytle and Roberts (http://pi.lib.uchicago.edu/1001/cat/bib/11594050). This TIME magazine article includes images of the race track and the burial ground from the Library of Congress: https://time.com/5836444/black-memorial-day/. The event was covered by the “Charleston Daily Courier” on May 2, 1865 and by the “New York Tribune” on May 13, 1865.
While we are unaware of any primary sources within our Special Collections that document this event, we still wish to acknowledge and share this piece of American history that is continually ignored or erased.

hiya i feel like ive seen you mention the sweeney todd au but. sitting here kicking my feet. if u would like an opportunity to rant abt it please take this as one -kai
oh hi!! yes i've mentioned it a few times mostly bc i was desperately trying not to make wilbur a barber LMAO. i'll be so fr, im probably never writing this thing forrealsies, especially bc there are so many details and storylines i do not feel like figuring out, so i can just tell you like. everything under the cut. it'll probably be a little jumpy bc i don't have any of this info actually written anywhere it's all in my mind lul.
WARNINGS: cannibalism, murder, abuse, suicide
it's basically just like. wilbur is sweeney. quackity is mrs. lovett. 13 years prior, wilbur was sent to prison by schlatt for "treason" and a bunch of bullshit political stuff bc well they had beef. a little bit before this, sally disappeared and wilbur claimed she left him, but he actually murdered her (do not know the reason yet, and if i did i forgot) and the only one who knows is quackity, but wilbur does not know that quackity knows. also wilbur definitely ate sally in some way bc well i always liked the idea the wilbur ate sally in canon. she's just a human instead of a salmon.
so it's 13 years later, and wilbur is getting off a boat with this guy tommy who has been helping him (which btw wilbur and tommy are MUCH closer than sweeney and anthony, they're besties instead of like. awkward mentor and semi-student), and wilbur plans to go back to his old home to see what remains while tommy goes to do some fucking thang idk. and wilbur ends up finding quackity, who has opened a burger shop, and tommy accidentally runs into schlatt, fundy, and tubbo and almost gets in a fist-fight with fundy. also in this au schlatt semi-raises fundy but is kind of a shit semi-dad and everyone around him is just miserable. ignoring like 90% of the johanna plot Except the simple fact that wilbur has a kid who was given to someone he fucking hates and now he wants to get him back.
tubbo is basically toby but if toby was schlatt's right-hand man instead of random fake italian guy. also wilbur's first kill is eret, who actually came to him trying to make amends/help, but wilbur thought was trying to out him to schlatt, so wilbur like. panic-murders eret. and has a bit of a freak out about it bc he's murdered someone before (his wife lul) but it haunts him and now this does too. but quackity's just like Bro. Free meat. This goes crazy. bc it's basically the same plot of like, meat prices are crazy, quackity can't afford it, and this is the perfect solution to his meat problem and wilbur's killed someone and has a body problem. also quackity used to be part of the manberg cabinet but when he finally broke things off with schlatt for being constantly disrespected both as a partner in politics and fiance, he was basically defamed and kicked to the curb and had everything taken from him so he had to figure shit out which is how he ended up in the position of burger shop owner in wilbur soot's old place.
also wilbur and quackity obvious tension but it's like that "im probably nonbinary but ive got a job so i don't really worry about that" but wilbur's like "im probably attracted to quackity but i've got a lot of people to murder to get my son back so i don't really worry about that" and quackity's malding about that a little bc he is definitely in love with wilbur but it's fine he gets one thing he wants and that's a functional fucking business, he can figure out the wilbur shit later when wilbur gets his stupid son back.
but yeah. wilbur murders eret, which starts a spiral spurred on by quackity being like "objectively you should keep killing people so i can run my business thanks man", and the rage he carries from his life being taken away for nothing, and the violence he has always carried since he murdered sally. idk if tommy's gonna know? i haven't thought about tommy enough in this au tbh and that's bc he is Completely different than anthony so i have to fucking think about it a lot. bc he's not going after fundy like anthony was johanna, he's trying to help fundy bc that's wilbur's son and wilbur's his best friend so he wants to help him save his fucking son. but fundy is also conflicted bc he genuinely cares about schlatt, as they've all genuinely cared about schlatt, and he's like a father to him.
also tubbo does NOT trust wilbur's ass. he's very fond of quackity, from memories of his childhood and quackity at schlatt's side, trying to protect tubbo, and the way quackity welcomes him with open arms when he gets the fuck out of there after tubbo hits his breaking point with schlatt, but tubbo thinks wilbur is kind of like the worst. bc he doesn't realize until it's too late that quackity is also kind of like the worst.
i haven't thought a lot about the middle, just bits and bobs, mostly the beginning and the end. i have the ending planned beat for beat pretty much.
the ending, basically, is that wilbur has tossed schlatt down the murder chute or what-fucking-ever, and quackity watches him die. he sort of just like stands there and watches schlatt choke on his own blood, not even trying to help or kill him faster, just watches it happen. as schlatt takes his last breath, wilbur storms down to the basement to make sure schlatt is dead. and he is! so wilbur's like this is my perfect victory, everything is fine now, except shit, tubbo knows about the murders bc frankly they are not very good at cleaning up their murders. this means they either need to kill tubbo or convince him to keep his mouth shut. they both know the second isn't really an option.
one of them vouches to keep tubbo alive despite this, probably quackity, and it sparks an argument that has quackity finally confess that he knows wilbur killed sally. wilbur is paranoid and angry and quackity is paranoid and angry and their argument devolves until they're trying to fucking kill each other. wilbur barely escapes the room with his life intact, though he doesn't manage to quite kill quackity.
he tries to find fundy and tommy, but they are both still trying to get to the shop after escaping the prison? or some shit again, not fully sure, their part of the story needs some fucking work, but wilbur is frustrated because he hoped to find them before tubbo did, lying and saying tubbo and quackity were killed by schlatt and wilbur killed schlatt in retaliation, and fleeing with both of them into the night. when he can't find them, wilbur decides he needs to go back after tubbo and goes through the side door of the house and back down the basement stairs.
while wilbur was looking for tommy and fundy, quackity had gathered himself back up from their fight and planned to go after wilbur and finish the fucking job, but he trips on schlatt's body and in a moment of just complete and utter anger and frustration and, unfortunately, love for both the dead man and the man who killed him, quackity grabs a bone or knife or something and cuts open schlatt's chest, pulls out his heart, and starts to eat it. as quackity eats schlatt's heart, tubbo comes up behind him and stabs him through his heart. he drops the knife and runs, finding tommy and fundy running up to the front door, looking for wilbur.
wilbur finds himself downstairs. he looks at the carnage, the oven still running, quackity and schlatt's dead bodies, meat and bones everywhere from he and quackity's work together. he wonders how the hell he's going to face fundy, face tommy, after everything he has done. he hsan't seen his son in 13 years, he hardly knows what fundy fucking looks like, he hardly remembers what sally looked like. it's all in a haze of blood, the awful life he made with quackity and tubbo overwriting it. he decides to kill himself and explodes the shop with the oven. somehow. i guess.
fundy, tommy, and tubbo get out alive, bc i always liked that johanna, anthony, and toby manage to get out it was very nice to me. tommy and fundy are heartbroken that wilbur died (still not sure how much they, specifically tommy, know about wilbur and quackity's business), and tubbo is admittedly very sad that he had to kill quackity, but he knows what they don't, that wilbur and quackity were dangerous men playing a dangerous game and bringing unsuspecting players into it, and he is the luckiest person in the fucking world to get out of their orbit alive. so he celebrates the fact that he won their game, and the three of them try to make a life. it is certainly happier than whatever they would have found in wilbur and quackity's.
also here is the only written (unedited) scene i have you can have it bc well i love to share thangs
Killing people outright is something Wilbur will admit he’s not fond of. He doesn’t like to watch the light leave peoples eyes. He doesn’t like his hand being the one to fell someone. He sits at the counter, staring at his hands. They were covered in blood just minutes ago. Before Quackity walked him over to the sink, talking in a low, steady voice about how it was understandable, it’s hardly as bad when it’s in self-defense, what was he supposed to do? Just let Eret tell Schlatt Wilbur’s back in town? Wilbur did the right thing. Whether that was Quackity’s voice or Wilbur’s own telling him, he still doesn’t know. But Quackity meets his eyes across the counter and does not look afraid, does not look worried. Just thoughtful.
“So,” Quackity starts, tapping his fingers atop the counter. “What do we do with her?”
“Take her somewhere far, far away,” Wilbur says, in a voice that sounds just as far. “Bury Eret where they’ll never find him.”
Quackity nods, looking somewhat disappointed. “Right. Right. I mean, burying Eret would make the most sense, right?”
“Right,” Wilbur echoes, hardly listening.
“But…” He sighs, looking up at the ceiling, all that separates them from Eret’s body. “Seems like a waste, right?” Wilbur is brought a little closer to Earth in his confusion.
“A waste?”
“Business has been bad,” Quackity continues, thoughtfully, conversationally, like this is all very normal and Wilbur isn’t still rubbing at his hands to get the blood off. “Debts we can’t pay off. What would it hurt, when he’s already dead?” Wilbur isn’t connecting whatever dots Quackity lays out. Eret is dead and the shop is doing poorly. The thoughts don’t intersect. “I mean, it’d be wrong just to dump them somewhere to rot, when there’s a use? When the price of meat raises every fucking week?” Rot. Meat. The connection is made. A little laugh tumbles out of Wilbur, amusement or shock he’s unsure, and Quackity smiles. “Plenty of meat, plenty of business.” It’s completely despicable. It turns Wilbur’s stomach inside out. It’s almost enough to make a Godless man pray for forgiveness… It’s absolutely fucking brilliant.

What some of the biggest things you have learnt this year?
What have I learned this year? Many things but nothing good.
1- Most people are truly stupid.
2- How easy it is for nonsense, group-think, science-denial, mass gaslighting, and thought control and censorship to take hold, even over an entire nation. I understand how it happens now.
3- Death can truly come at any moment and all it takes is a second. There is nothing you can do. It means nothing.
4- People truly give zero shits about you. Society will leave you to suffer slowly. People will step over you as you die in the street. Death is a merciful escape that is actively denied.
5- Even the "good guys".
6- Your friends are not real friends. They will not show you the same kindness and care that you give them.
7- People will do anything to blame the victim.
8- For some reason the abuser is always believed and the victim is either a liar, the real abuser, or deserved it.
9- "Like a compass needle that points north, a man's accusing finger always finds a woman. Always." -Khaled Hosseini (a man)
10- Female oppression is the singularly the most ignored and denied. Women are alone in their fight and mass gaslit.
11- I have always been utterly alone. I will likely live a very lonely, difficult life. I will likely die alone, confused, and afraid like Ive watched so many do.
12- Oppressors will always reverse the narrative and claim to be the true victim, with the real victims being the oppressors
13- The system is set up for the poor to get poorer, and the sick and traumatized to not be able to get help. They want you to die. They kill by neglect.
14- We still live in an age of science denial.
15- Religion is for men, by men, and a tool of mass social control and to validate misogyny, pedophilia, and other violence
16- After a traumatic event, the rest of your life will also quickly fall to shit while youre too fucked up to be capable of keeping it together, thus making you spiral even worse.
17- There is no escaping that sad sad house.
18- We are all captives and slaves of our country. "At least its not North Korea". True! But it is though, it still is. Just not as obvious. Its easier to just accept that, ignore all the feel-good lies you were told growing up. Itll all make more sense once you accept that. You were born in a prison. You have no choice, there is no other possible life. Disobedience is death.
19- Mental health treatment is useless and the system a joke. They will steal from you, reject you from treatment, and leak your information. All we do is keep your body alive for a few more days.
20- It is dangerous to become emotionally dependent on someone, even a bit. You become weak and they will either abandon you or turn on you in your time of need. Trust no one, rely on no one.
21- Most human animals are genuine disgusting scum.

1. Love Dive- Ive- Like give IVE their tens this was song of the year, mayhaps even song of the decade (getting ahead of myself). The vibes were immaculate and the song is outstanding I even like the dance break which can break a good song if done poorly.
2. Hype Boy- New Jeans: Like this is really also the song of the year for me, Love Dive triumphs but probably only because it came out earlier. Like this song is immaculate and attention is pretty good too it would be in the 16-20 range of my fave songs of the year.
3. Catch the Star- Woo!ah- They really outdid themselves like this was a masterpiece and such a great way to start the year. I really didn’t think it could be beat for a while and at one point it was higher than Love Dive but its not as replayable as Love Dive. Still a bop tho!
4. DM- Fromis_9- Again the girls were taking no prisoners' at the beginning of the year jan-feb was insane like this is probably my fave fromis_9 song after love bomb of course.
5. Talk that Talk- Twice- Of course the queens had to be here and for their only comeback of the year. Truly I couldn’t have wished for anything more (except a more coherent MV), like the song is good and repayable. They never disappoint and this comeback as well as celebrate was made just so much better by all the members continuing on and re-signing their contract!
6. Smiley- Choi Yena- Another early bop, like it’s so catchy it’s still in my head! Truly a great debut but that’s to be expected from the izone girlies. The only critique is Bibi was so not needed, like it wasn’t bad but Yena defs could cover that part herself and I’m not crazy about a feature being on a debut. And we must thank Yena for holding down yuehua entertainment until everglow come back.
7. Love in Bloom- ILY:1- They are bringing back christian kpop and I have to thank them for it! This song is so refreshing and unique and a bop. The MV and styling were cute and I replayed it so much it just had to make the list. A very solid nugu debut.
8. Run- H1-key- This was the song of the summer for me. It just screams a fun summer like I was a little unsure of the group what with their former members alleged political connections and their debut song but this was spectacular.
9. Antifragile- Lesserafim- This is probably my most replayed song of the year which is crazy because it literally came out a few months ago lol. Like this is such a good song to workout to they really served. I was worried what they would do post garam kick out and with the success of new jeans it was looking a bit grim for them but they came back swinging. Also their performances are so good and Yunjin I find genuinely funny which is rare in an idol, like they’ve been added to my faves list.
10. Rollarcoaster- Woo!ah- Yep Woo!ah made the list twice and if we extended the list to 20 entries they would make it thrice. Woo!ah had a great year with a comeback at the beginning middle and end of the year all of which were really strong but starting with Catch the Stars and ending with Rollarcoaster is insane like their producer is a genius. I envision this will climb the rankings but since it came later it’s at number 10.
11. Flip That- Loona- I started writing this before the Chuu situation and the potential exodus of the Loona members and man am I bummed out now. The song is good and everything I wanted after the girl crush mess I’ve been force fed for the past two years. Like just a nice chill song for the summer, not their best but super refreshing. (BUT, everyone needs to boycott bbc and not listen on streaming sites and don’t watch their new comeback or interact with the teasers.)
12. After Like- Ive- They also made the list twice this song was a bit boring to me at first but on a second listen its an earworm. Whoever is producing these Ive tracks starship needs to pay them more cause they are excellent.
13. Loveticon- CSR- Giving Christian Kpop Horsegirl vibes as my one anon put it and we need to bring the genre back so I’m glad they’re helping. Ever since gfriend pivoted to whatever apple was the genre has been left behind and its revival and CSR and ILY:1 can do it! Weird group names tho.
14. Higher- Fifty Fifty- this group has a decent concept and I really like that they sing a majority of the chorus and songs together as opposed to in segments like it makes them unique in kpop. A nice chill jam with good vocals what more could anyone else want.
15. Pop- Bugaboo- I liked the song it was fun but this is mainly here because my girls have disbanded and its only right that they make the list for the two years they were active during.

thinking about yaz saying the doctor can drop them back wherever they want:
RYAN: Is this our lives? Going from one place to the next, ignoring home? We're getting older, but without them. Missing out bits of their lives.   YASMIN: When we're done, The Doctor can drop you off at whatever point you want, though. RYAN: Yeah, but we'll have changed. They wouldn't have. It's like we're living at different rates. YASMIN: The Doctor said we wouldn't come back the same. DOCTOR: I was thinking Frankenstein.
im assuming thats what the doctor told them. im assuming yaz didnt just assume that on her own.
in the first episode yaz asks “is this normal for you”:
YASMIN: So everything we saw, everything we've lied to people about, is this normal for you?
clara voice: you lied and now you made me lie, youve made me your accomplice!
ive said this before but i dont think 13 needed to tell or ask them to lie, i think she took the lead, gave an example and they followed. i think it’s similar with how the doctor went about setting the rules of travelling. i dont know if they discussed the travelling schedule, i imagine there must have been Some discussion. but i think 13 would offer when they can be back without being asked. like she said the disclaimers when they asked to come and she asked if they knew what they were signing up for and if they were sure. so i think she would have also offered this freely. i can get you back to any point, whenever you want.
it’s interesting bc you wonder what she was thinking when she offered that. my first thought is approximately right back to when they left. the same way she brought them back in 11x4 to half an hour after 11x1. and the same way she comes back in revolution thinking it’s the same day she left them in 12x10. i think that first of all shes offering them the chance to not miss any time with their families and friends. that doesnt entirely work bc as ryan says “we’ll have changed, they wouldnt have” but thats no issue from the doctor’s immortal perspective. she didnt really change in the decades in prison.
so thats the main thing i think she was offering, to get some adventures and never be missed. hide all this, hide all these experiences, this entire life, from their loved ones. i dont think she even thought about that. i think that was just intuitively the logical thing to offer. absolute compartmentalisation.
but another thing thats also offered in “whatever point you want”, is a point thats not even in your life. she probably wouldnt take you back to before you were travelling bc there’d be two of you and thats not ideal for the timelines, but any other time? before you were born? a hundred years after? or just a couple of weeks into the future, or a couple of years, skip 5, whos gonna notice that? i think you can get away with 5 years, whos gonna suspect time travel.
anyway, i have no real thoughts here i just think it’s a fun offer to think about. it’s a fun offer to think about 13 making. i can really hear clara’s accusatory “youve made me your accomplice!” in it. she made them lie and she made them keep up the lie and i dont think she ever gave them any other option.and it’s interesting for her to make this offer. an offer that feels natural to her, but for companions is actually like, kind of a difficult question right?
i just think she doesnt imagine their perspectives a lot. and i think thats why she probably would be surprised with how well they know her if they voiced it. i mean she is surprised in 12x5 when ryan says very determinedly “youre the doctor”. the three of them together i think understand and have guessed a lot about her and i even think theyve shared some of what theyve seen especially in s12, i think they had meetings about her. they kinda did in 12x5.
so idk tldr i guess is i think the fam get her shoes a lot better than she gets theirs. i dont think shes even tried all that much. i dont think it has occured to her to think about how cancer has affected graham, or how he and ryan mourned grace, or who ryans friends are, or whether yaz had any, or what her relationship to her family is like. i dont think she has thought to think about any of that.
i think they might have mentioned things here and there. ryan mentions his old job in kerblam and i feel like friends maybe at some point too? graham comes to her in 12x7. she knows yaz was bullied from witchfindesr. but i doubt she FOLLOWED UP on any of that. i dont think she’d ask further questions. she closed herself off Completely when graham came to her for Emotional Support, i doubt she’d open doors to that kinda thing voluntarily. and i think maybe she wouldnt even want to spend much time thinking about it. thinking about the lives she took these people from. just focus on the here and now. no yesterdays no tomorrows

Im finally watching The Owl House instead of just seeing spoilers on Tumblr so Im gonna live-post my reactions cuz Holy shit do I have some things to say right now-
1. Camila sounds nothing like I imagined
2. LUZ DONT THROW BOOKS AWAY WHAT THE FUCK
3. Eda sounds nothing like I thought????
4. Luz… baby… you didn’t see the door with a giant eye and- ya know what- not worth it
5. Why is Eda not sus about a human? I am definitely missing something
6. Is Alex Hirsch the voice for the guard?
7. Why hand come off?????
8. Luz is self aware. This is good.
9. HOOTY??????? THE FUCK????
10. Luz! Don’t just grab people and creatures!
11. Wait- have I been mispronouncing Luz’ name? I thought it was Luhz not Looz
12. Eda! Blackmail and manipulation isn’t cool!
13. by the way both Earth and Boiling Isles conforming places are so disgusting like the fuck
14. Luz I love you and im concerned by your lax reaction to this new world
15. the warden is disgusting
16. h- thats not how physics work??? how are the doors opening???
17. Eda you’re great for protecting the child first
18. Luz is so cool for rebellion tho
Done! I think Im gonna rewatch each episode again when I don’t pay attention enough so I can write these. Hard to remember my questions if I pay attention too hard but ya know I wanna express how I feel too
1. wait these people are overreacting sometimes. the snakes and spiders? yeah absolutely valid to run. The sausages and eyelids???? Y’all overreacting. I mean the wasted food sucks but like its obviously just sausages guys. The eyelid thing is just something at least one kid does every year and its gross but not scream and run worthy. These people are so rude. At least the principal and Camila are concerned about Luz cuz of her seemingly not recognizing what is and isnt real vs just being dicks about her hobbies. It could be much worse in that way. Also Camila worrying about Luz’ lack of friends is good, too. Some kids do fine alone, but most really do need a support system other than family.
(ugh why is the next line down here thats so annoying)
2. Boiling Isles is like- lawless??? Clearly the warden gets away with his crazy arrests (kinda like Warden from Danny Phantom) cuz he’s just a dick. Like how is the guy selling person-eating icecream allowed but a fanfic writer isnt???? Like this is all clearly a reference to queerness cuz like fanfic doesn’t bother anyone else unless you see it out whilst that icecream could absolutely hurt some random civilian. The shit queer people used to and still get in trouble for with no valid reason- this also could be referencing race as well cuz it is disgusting how many POC are arrested or hurt due to plain racism rather than justice by law.
3. oh my godex I have been saying Luz’ name wrong! I thought it was Luhz! Is it Looz cuz its short for Lucida? Also the fact Eda thinks she’s clever for a human makes me worry everyone in Boiling Isles will think Luz is dumb just because of her species which is hella speciest and yeah im worried
4. ): giraffes are cool. Eda why
5. I kinda hate Hooty not gonna lie. Also ??? Eda why you leave your stuff outside ???
6. I just realized that the Conformitorium may actually be a proper prison that just has too many lax laws. Also how tf did does Luz open and close the door????
7. Luz’ willingness to just trust Eda is concerning. Also the BK crown is funny. Eda is a softie
8. oh the doors are opened normally itd just hurt ouch. Is the scene of them falling done by that Baxter dude cuz its kinda smooth af
9. I really hope Luz’ speech means something to kids and teens. It feels cringely bad to me but im also literally 20 so its not meant for me
10. Luz… you cant just offer up your services for ANYTHING! Standards! Boundaries! Her age is showing here. (what is her age? is she like 12?)
11. That photo thing is absolutely real. Some people think its a dramatic movie thing but Ive done it genuinely. Who had the sleeping bag? Eda or Luz? Also love her phone case. Cannot imagine sleeping without a blanket.
Properly done this time! I think I’ll watch the next one once through then ask questions though cuz this took far too long. Ill remember the questions eventually.

Delia's Gone: True Crime Murder Ballads Pt. 1
Tumblr media
If you're a fan of old school folk, country, and jazz, chances are you've heard a song or two about Delia. But what you may not know is that these songs are inspired by real people. Songwriters through the years have taken varying degrees of creative license when telling the tale of Delia's fate, and the actual events surrounding her life and death are largely forgotten. She was a gambler in some versions, a prostitute in others. Today, the most well known version describes her as an evil woman whose luck ran out when she messed with the wrong guy.
In reality, Delia Green was a 14-year-old Black girl living in Savannah, Georgia in 1900 when she was shot and killed at a Christmas Eve party by 15-year-old Moses Houston. Intoxicated, Houston began publicly bragging to party goers about his sexual relationship with Green, using language to imply some sort of ownership over her. She denied it and rejected his claims, calling him a "son of a bitch" in the process. Ego bruised, he responded by shooting her in the groin. She succumbed to her injuries hours later, on Christmas day, and was buried in an unmarked grave in Savannah's Laurel Grove Cemetery. Houston was sentenced to life in prison, but only served 13 years before being granted parole.
Tragic circumstances like these often proved to be fertile grounds for songwriters, who rushed to use jaw-dropping breaking news stories to inspire fresh material. Though the original writers have been lost to time, Library of Congress field recordings suggest Delia Green was a popular lyrical subject from the time of her death until the end of the 1910s. While the tale of Green's murder fell out of favor for several decades, it returned with a vengeance by the middle of the century. Piedmont blues guitarist Blind Willie McTell recorded "Delia" and "Little Delia" in the 1940s, and Bahamas-based calypso musician Blake Alphonso Higgs recorded "Delia's Gone" in the 1950s. From there, the American folk music revival aroused a flurry of "Delia" covers, including from Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Josh White, and Burl Ives.
Johnny Cash released his own version in 1962, and another in 1994, the latter accompanied by a grotesquely glamorous Anton Corbijn-directed music video starring supermodel Kate Moss. Throughout the clip, Moss is posed dead-eyed beneath a noose and motionless at the bottom of a grave, dirt raining down on her. Cash, when not carrying Moss' lifeless body around, stands in a cemetery strumming his guitar, "DELIA" printed on the cross behind him. The song helped propel Cash's career comeback, with the LA Times proclaiming "Delia's Gone, But Man in Black's Back."
Tumblr media
The recording itself is also particularly nasty. Adding verses that describe Delia as "cold and mean," Cash submits his actions as a blueprint for other men to follow: "So if your woman's devilish, you can let her run or you can bring her down and do her like Delia got done." While this rendition is particularly brutal considering the story behind the song, it's worth noting that this cold-hearted interpretation potentially matches the emotions of the moment more truthfully. During his confession, Houston reportedly exhibited zero remorse, saying he'd do it all over again if given the chance.
Not all versions are so cruel, however. Harry Belafonte released multiple stirring renditions, first in 1954 and again in 1967, lyrics rewritten to present the reason for Delia's mysterious absence as unknown. He also movingly covered the original in 1959, making him a particularly skilled interpreter of this story. And David Bromberg's 2016 re-recording is another standout among dozens of "Delia" performances.
In 2020, 120 years after her death, the non-profit Killer Blues Headstone Project raised the funds to finally deliver Green her own grave marker. It's a thoughtful tribute to the girl who has inspired countless musicians to pick up their guitar, but whose actual existence has been largely forgotten. So the next time you're singing along with "one more round, Delia's gone," remember the child whose death inspired those words. Rest in peace, Delia Green.

thread on reddit about “what made you not kill yourself?” and all these people being like ohh my pets, my kids, my family, my best friend, etc and all i can think of is how people in my life would just make it about themselves
when T died all these fake ass motherfuckers came out of the woodwork talking about how they loved him sooo much and blah blah blah. none of these people fucking took him in. i lived in my dorm at the time but i let him sleep on my floor when i could get away with it, he even stayed over at my parents house once or twice cause they knew he was a good guy. all these people who knew he was trying to go straight and recover but kept pulling him back into drug shit. the system failed him in a lot of ways too (esp options limited to people who’ve been to prison) but i saw how people around him failed him too. i, too, feel that i failed him. i could have done things differently, but i was young and naiive.
ive written it before but when T died the main reaction was people making it about themselves, how theyre so sad now, how theyre missing something, etc.  theyd make him take the bus to his own fuckin parties. demand guest list when it was like 10-15 at the crud. his own fucking mom wouldnt take him in but still posts on his fb all the time about how she misses her beautiful boy. when it came to actual talking about T, the majority of people just sort of shrugged and went “eh, he was on that track anyway” or “it was inevitable” or “it was bound to happen eventually”, and feeling no real remorse or regret that someone who was clearly in need of help never got any.
and i feel pretty certain that would happen with me. all the people who bullied me in high school hearing that “bead girl killed herself, but eh, she was always pretty weird” or “well she’s always been depressed so :\” or “omg did covid finally get her? she never shut the fuck up about it” or “oh THOSE PEOPLE would have just died of the flu anyway”. those people. those people. those people. hell people have been begging me to kill myself since i was like 13 years old, i would just be fulfilling their wish.
there is a lot of talk about ‘battling suicide’ and ‘raising awareness’ but we still dont use the language yet about losing the battle. we never say we lost someone to suicide, we still say that they “committed” it, that it was an act on their part unprecedented by anything else, a choice they made that was “selfish” and independent of other factors. some have been trying to say people “die by suicide”, but you dont hear anyone say that people die of depression or that people die of mental illness.
and yet they do. they die of illness. they die of mental illness. suicide is not something that happens when you are healthy. every fiber of our being rebels against it, unless there is an illness to override it. saying it is a selfish choice someone made is like accusing someone of purposefully cultivating their cancer. and yet people do that too, the way they treat substance users. they ignore what help these people need and blame them for their poor coping mechanisms or their lack of access to treatment.
yes, i know being isolated at home for the last decade isn’t the best for my mental health, but what else am i supposed to do about it? “Go to the doctor”? and what then, genius? is prozac going to pay bills? will effexor boost my resumé with more work experience? does wellbutrin immunize against covid? does cymbalta allow me to meet with my therapist more than once every 6 weeks? is a daily dose of zoloft all i need to combat ptsd? does lexapro double as emdr, c/dbt, ect, or other professionally-led treatments? did me personally taking celexa remove any of the institutional barriers preventing me from connecting with my community, feeling included, being productive and valued and capable of actually participating in the world around me?
no. it made me hallucinate and unable to sleep for 56 hours.

7. What’s your ideal number of blankets to sleep with?
i sleep with a sheet and a blanket but IDEALLY? it would be cold enough that i could sleep with the leopard-print blanket i stole from my ex on top of that. so like. 3?
13. Fears?
i mean, all the typical fears that come with being trans in a far-right police state (beiing killed, being arrested and sent to a mens prison, etc) but ive also got more irrational fears like the dark and bugs and dying.
17. Want any piercings? Where?
nah i dont like piercings.
19. Do you have a best friend? How long have you been friends?

The son, soon to be James IV, felt guilt all his life about the death of his father, wearing a metal chain round his body as penance.

i am going to put my emduo backstory headcanon brushup i wrote down in discord earlier here. just because ive been writing Around it and in case i publish any of my WIPs this is more context. or simply bc maybe one of u mite enjoy.
under the cut be a wall of text, unformatted, with typos abound:
ironing out a third or fourth version of emduo meet... and i really simply cannot get away from the 'EXTEEMELY mysterious dangerous self-sufficient vagabond guy journeying through all the lands over decades because he Can and Wants To' trope i think youd have to kill me at this point to get me to stop having having c!phil skittering around the world causing and solving problems. infinite flat world of minecraft. will he reach the edge and fall off into the void /j
[5:02 PM]so phil comes to this town and gets a tavern room to sleep and hes in the room laying on the bed with his stupid bird feet swinging behind him writing in a journal labeled 'year 57' which is how long hes been out of isolation for bc he just wants to meet ppl and travel etc when he hears a commotion across the river at a castle and is like "👀👀👀" so he flies over and is like "wots up :)" turns out the local peasants revolted killed the king and are working together to repurpose the castle and redistribute wealth and phils like "im not from around here but i can help if you want??" and theyr elike "shore!" and tell him to find any prisoners and hes like "ok i dont even NEED a key or lockpick hehehehe" and the guy internally is like 'ok! terrifying but i wont question that!'
[5:06 PM]so he finds a basement or dungeon and lets out all the imprisoned ppl and tells them to head upstairs where the organized locals will give them anythign they need. they all hurriedly thank him and scamper out to restart their lives as free men but theres one dude who is just fuckign terrified. a dubiously-teenaged piglin shoat who cant walk great but refuses to let phil touch him. so phil sits nearby and minutes turn to maybe an hour or two or three before hes able to convince the dude hes jsut a Random Guy Trying To Help and that Everything Is Cool Now and You Probably Should Take Antibiotics For That Scrape.
[5:11 PM]eventually the patience pays off and after heading up to the organized peasants one thing leads to another and phil is saying he can help the kid get back on his feet. then yknow it plugs into the old hc structure i have a pretty good handle on. cottagecore living where techno heals up and phil teaches him to read write cook hunt etc. and they simply become friends and never drift apart and are happy. ofc until some assholes from phils past show up one day try to stab him and techno throws himself into the way and dies bc he was also born hardcore. and then kristin (death god!) is like "WAIT I MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX THIS-" and curses techno with all that blood god (a subordinate/more evil death god? like one of kristins shifty employees but thats all she could do in a short notice) shit but it restores his 1 life infinitely and gives him spidey senses.
[5:13 PM]so then techno respawns somewhere else and phil scrambles to find him bc kristin is like "ummmmmmmmmmm i sort of had to curse the dude sorry, but hes Alive" and then its a couple life cycles of Hell as techno adjusts to his new sort of divine powers and then they are able to calm down again and just be two dudes scampering around the world causing trouble and uncovering Forbidden Knowlege again
[5:14 PM]throw in the AE at some point bc they think theyre Smart Enough after a few centuries to lead better than other mortal blokes (theyre Wrong and it solidifies the whole anarchist philosophy about power over others etc) and then eventually u throw in a baby wilbur and land at the dsmp. mmm bqckstorie
[5:17 PM]the cottagecore section at the start before they really get into the Killing is such a comforting thing to think abt tbh. techno owning and caring for his first cows... trading recipies with the locals and waving to the townsfolk in the market,,, phil showing him a sturdy stitch to work deer hide with... hours and hours of bogus enchanting to learn somethign workable... making arrow tips by the fire...
[5:18 PM]etc etc. calm...
[5:19 PM]figured itd be a good foundation for a sweet guy trapped in a bigass piglin body whose destined to become a war criminal and mass murderer. makes it all add up ig
[5:20 PM]and then phils survivalist nature can be pinned on a couple of centuries of depending on only Himself and a little bit of creepy divine influence every couple of years. (points to death points to ender points to the empress)
[5:21 PM](mashes them up like potato in bowl) ingredience
[5:24 PM]also if u think abt it they Argue a Lot which just makes everythign funnier bc you know theyve been pinging back and forth the same braincell Forever and can have a whole assed conversation in "you suck >:(" "NAUR..."
[5:26 PM]everyones like 'awwww emduo the them<3" and its just 40 mins of them berating the other as if theyre stuck in the same habits from 1497
but then u know its just like. part of their fun when they toss the veil aside and r like "bro id die for you 🥺🥺🥺" "bro... pls dont bro"
scrunt ass milk. — Today at 5:40 PM
