The blanket Cal has in his room during the order 66 flashbacks matches the colours of the battalion he’s with so picture for me: a group of battle-hardened super soldiers using the precious little time they have between battles to make a simple blanket to sleep with at night as a gift for their 12 year old commander. They make it their battalion colours because they want him to know he’s one of them.

Third part of No Order 66 AU is up!

It is, unfortunately, not a fun one. There are a great deal of warnings in the tags of the fic, so please read them.

Caleb and Cal were once the very best of friends - but war is a painful burden, and not one children should ever have to bear.

Somehow, Commander Grey will make this right. For his Cadet.

(If you don't want to read this installment, that's fine. It depicts a physical altercation between minors, and has subtle nods to some rather nasty stuff, so a content warning is advised, for all the allusions to Death and Gore are not explicit.)

Clone wars hc

Been lurking on tumblr for a bit (while) and decided to throw my own clone wars hc cause the hyperfixation be hyper fixated (sorry for any spelling errors).

Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan are bffs - They both lose their robes and seem to flirt with anything that walks. meaning they have get togethers and give each other flirting advice.

Jocasta Nu and Admrial Yularen are BAMF, and are severly underrated. you don't get away with hurting someone they care about unpunished.

Rex's first thought of ashoka was "that's a child" followed by "that's a child on a battle field" and then "that's a child on a battle field with no clothes, what the kark".

One of the shinies from Monnk's battalion definitely asked Fisto (while high on pain meds) if he lactates and monnk and fisto lost their shit and couldn't stop laughing for 5 min straight.

Kix (and other medics by default) have tranq/hypo guns for any vode or jedi that try to leave med bay when on bed rest.

Fox and Amidala gossip and constantly talks shit about Palpatine

Kit Fisto Smile Supremacy, this man win's best smile, it never fails to cheer someone up.

Rex definitely twirls his guns before putting them in his holsters when he's done using them

Bly is obviously in love with Aayla, and he tries to hide it (and fails miserably) but he's so respectful about loving her and swooning, that Quinlan couldn't even give him a shovel talk.

the clones were absolutely baffled when they met the jedi's

Wolffe and Fox are twins, they might be at each others throats 90% of the time, but if you talk shit about the one of them, the other won't hesitate to beat your ass.

Monnk says the most off handed shit in a dead pan tone (ex. Monnk: well I'm not gonna live, laugh, love this. Fisto, laughing his ass off: I-I'm Sorry? Monnk: I'm just saying this is gonna be a bitch)

Plo Koon is Plo Buir, He's at least adopted the Wolf Pack and Ashoka

the 501st and Ashoka are siblings

Grey adopted Caleb Dume

The Iron Battalion/13th battalion took one look at Cal and immediately adopted him

Ponds isn't dead (cause fuck canon), he found Boba before his schemes could go off and made him a deal, He helps Boba plan the assassination attempts on Windu (he trust his general won't die, but he gave him more headaches) so there's no casualties, but slowly the attempts stop and now Boba just lives in the 91st venator's vents.

The first time Cody picked up Obi-Wan's lightsaber he thought it was so cool, and now he just wants to glue the damn thing into his hand

Hound spoils Grizzer, he absolutely adores the massif

Jesse make sure Kix is actually taking care of himself, and make sure he's not over working (and when necessary, he uses a hypo to make sure Kix sleeps, cause Kix will hold that over his head and pay him back for it)

Fox and Thorn are opposites but they are really close

The corrie guard has a list of all the good and bad senators

The most forms that Monnk and Cody (and occasionally Ponds) fill out are forms for more robes

Cody's name is Kote (but goes by Cody cause so many nat borns mispronounce it) and Obi-Wan randomly asked if that was his name, and Cody was just utterly shocked

After Umbara, Fox say a very traumatized trooper (it's Dogma) who is facing shitty consequences for doing the right thing and adopts him into the guard

After Kix woke up from his stasis and found artoo's (again, fuck canon) he would stay up on nights he couldn't sleep and watch videos of him and his vode from artoo's memory bank

Clones using their Jedi's lightsaber - Cody using Kenobi's lightsaber after he loses it for the millionth time, Rex using it to back ventress away from ashoka, Fox finding quinlan's in a dumpster (with quinlan in said dumpster)

Hound let's grizzer purposely tackle people when he can easily apprehend them because it's funny or because whoever he's chasing pissed him off and he's petty

Yoda is the ultimate menace (like srs palpitine hates his ass, but yoda -and everyone else- hates him even more)

Yoda still keeps in touch with Rys, Jek, and Thire (mainly Thire) after the treaty or smth

The Corrie found Quinlan Vos in a dumpster and now he won't stop bugging them (expecially Fox)

Fox is a walking encyclopedia of every republic laws, you do one minor thing wrong and he can quote every law you broke, word to word

A trooper (let's call him Sharks) from Fisto and Monnk's battalion can just get a group of sharks to gather around, at every planet, every time, without fail

Plo's disappointed dad sigh can make a separatist army fold into defeat

Kenobi absolutely loathes caf, he hates it with a passion

Each high ranking clone officer has to deal with something of their jedi - Cody has to deal with Kenobi flirting with seperatist and losing his lightsaber, Rex has to deal with his general constantly crashing ships, his batshit crazy plans and his general continuously using the force to throw him, Monnk has to deal with his general randomly "shedding" clothes, and all the clones have to deal with their generals and commanders not wearing armor (Except for Jaro Tapal, HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WEARS ARMOR)

Corrie Guard can sleep standing up, very useful when guarding in the pods during senate meetings

The nice Senators (mainly Chuichi, Amidala, and Organa) and Vos very often get things for the Coruscant Guards, and whenever the guard see's the gifts they are baffled and bamboozled

Rex called dibs on Domino squad after the moon mission

Echo and Fives without hesitation took Tup and Dogma under their wing

Fives, Hardcase and Jesse started a prank war in the 501st that accidently evolved into a GAR wide prank war (with Coruscant being neutral ground, cause the guard doesn't need to deal with that shit, doesn't mean they don't help out)

Fox holds ALL the blackmail, and has multiple informants in every battalion, plus he has the power to withhold caf shipments

Fox also regularly reads his batchmates mission reports to mae sure their ok

The Corrie guard accidently adopted a stray tooka and a loth cat, now they're the guards emotional support animals

Rex keeps complaining about his brothers flirting with their jedi's that he didn't even realized that he third wheeled between Anakin and Padme that he joined their relationship

every mothers or fathers day without fail, shaak ti and plo koon always gets presents and gifts from their children (troopers and cadets.... and ashoka)

Coric is Kix's Ori'vod, he didn't admit it at first but Kix grew on him and well medics stay togeth

Coric purposely avoided being CMO of the 501st because they are hellions, Kix wanted to strangle him after he realized what being CMO of the 501st meant

Rex was on the 212th with Cody when Anakin was still a padawan

Rex hates evals, natural blonde plus Kamino is a recipe for hell. Also he was shocked at Skywalker being nonchalant about his hair, Anakin just though it made him cooler

That's all I have for now, if you see any you've seen before my bad, I honestly just typed the first that came to mind and kinda spiraled from there. I'm just now starting to interact with tumblr, so I might upload more and maybe even some art if I can stay focused long enough.

Grand Army of the Republic Structure

So, looking at how the GAR is structured, there would be about 512 battalions total throughout all 10 system armies. (I can go into that later)

We know of (canon) 15.

Let me know if I missed any, here's the list:

21st Nova corp (wait, is that a battalion or a Corp in the structure? idk.) led by Ki-Adi-Mundi and CC Bacara

13th (the Iron Battalion) led by Jaro Tapal and Cal Kestis

41st Scout let by Luminara and/or Yoda, and CC Gree

104th (The Wolfpack) led by Plo Koon and CC Wolffe

187th led by Mace Windu and CC Ponds (I thought they were the 91st?)

612th led by Polla Royal and CC Granch (I'm assuming that's a CC)

Combat Engineer (I don't know either) let by Sergeant Gaffa

212th led by Kenobi and CC Cody

501st led by Skywalker, CT Rex, and Ahsoka Tano

332nd, which is an off shoot of the 501st, lead by CC Rex and Tano

(Carnivore is also a sub group of 501st, but I'm unsure if it is big enough to count as it's own battalion)

442nd, also led by Plo Koon at some point, and CC Verd

327th lead by Aayla Secura and CC Bly

184th led by Jor Aerith and CC Crane (again, guessing if a CC)

Rancor Battalion, lead by Shaak Ti and the Rancor ARC CCs

Coruscant Guard, which has no Jedi and is led mainly by CC Fox

Honorary member, but technically part of 212th, is Clone Force 99, lead by CT Hunter.

So that's roughly 15. Out of 512.

Good thing we fans like to make OC clones.

Also, I AM thinking about making a color chart for known battalions. And since there are so few, including those of OC made battalions too.

Charles Hamilton Sorley was born in Aberdeen on May 19th 1895, he became a soldier and lay dead in a field in France in his 20th year.

The son of a William Ritchie Sorley, a professor of moral philosophy, Charles was a precocious and academically gifted child. The family moved to Cambridge when he was five, and Sorley attended King’s College choir school and Marlborough College, with some study in Germany. He began publishing poetry in the school journal and won a scholarship to University College, Oxford. Sorley was in Germany in 1914 when World War I broke out, and he was interned for one night in prison at Trier.

Making his way back home, he enlisted in the Army and served in the trenches in France. Sorley was killed in action near Hulloch during the Battle of Loos, on 13th October 1915, shot in the head by a sniper. His last poem, When You See Millions of the Mouthless Dead, was found in his kitbag, it is a heart-breaking piece of prose, and I admit the first time I read it in 2012 it brought a tear to my eye.

A collection of Sorley’s poetry was published posthumously as Marlborough and other Poems and went through six editions in the first year. Because of his time in Germany, Sorley’s attitude toward the war was deeply conflicted from its start. His small body of poetry is ambivalent, ironic, and profound. Sorley has been described as “one of the three poets of importance killed during the war,” the others being Wilfred Owen and Isaac Rosenberg. His other works include The Collected Poems of Charles Hamilton Sorley.

I'm eagerly awaiting when I finally get to write the (brief) order 66 part of this section. It's gonna be fun

BD nudges the side of his face, but Cal ignores him, closing his eyes and gritting his teeth, pulling at the Force. Sweat beads up on his forehead as the Force, the Force escapes through his fingers like smoke no matter how quickly, desperately he grabs at it.

No. No. No. He needs to get in there. Cal threads his will through the Force, solidifying it – and, for a brief moment, it jumps to the call, like it always does – and he jams it between the door and frame, pulling the door open centimeter by centimeter until the seal cracks and the door slams open. He almost falls over at the sudden lack of resistance. The Force instantly slips between his fingers, scattering. But he’s not paying attention to that. He hurries into the cell, heart in his throat. Shiny object is still there. It wasn’t his imagination.

It's a padawan bead.

Cal’s vision blurs. Tears already on his cheeks before he realizes he’s crying. Some kept their padawan braid simple, only using colored ribbons or twine to remember the places they’ve been, the people they’ve met. Attachments they made, cherished, then walked ahead of, but never forgot. Others though, others added beads and clasps instead, things that clinked together when they breathed in meditation, when they were, were moving in battle. Cal always planned on adding a clasp to his braid on the Albedo Brave’s next shore leave. Something dark like iron and yellow like far off stars, to show off the same loyalty and pride for the 13th Battalion that they had shown him.

But then the Purge happened, so obviously he never got that clasp.

His hand shakes as he reaches for the bead. [ – my master will come for me, she thinks helplessly. they said they would always be by my side. they will come. they will come. they – they have to come. come save me please. p-please, I don’t want to be here. pleas – ] Cal swipes his cheeks, and it does nothing but smear dust and tears. The woman’s echo – the padawan’s echo – is scared, terrified, wondering how much more can I take? and the answer is no more, no more as her-his-her heart withers and his-her-his terror expands and he opens his mouth to scream, to plead, to beg, please no, you said – ! you said! His breath catches in his chest and his knees buckle, lowering him to the ground in a graceless heap. Cal’s knuckles creak around the bead, nails digging into his palm. My master gave me this. After we left Lanoscea. They’d been so proud, and I nearly cried. Pathetic, right? and no, those aren’t, those aren’t Cal’s thoughts. That’s not his memory. That padawan is dead. Her master never came.

His master is dead. His padawan has been reduced to this.

Clone Trooper 8 and/or 16

CT-4185 Dare and his batchmate, Haat, are a part of the Coruscant Guard. He got into a fight with a natborn defending Haat and got his ear sliced up real bad. His cheek bled more than his ear and he was convinced he was gonna bleed out but the medic just gave him a plaster and sent him on his way, didn’t even get bacta for his troubles.

CT-4025 ARF trooper Slate is a part on the 13th Iron battalion. He was supposed to go on the ill fated mission to Devaron but due to an injury, was on Kamino at the time and was spared. That’s not to say he hasn’t had his fair share of scuffles. The scar on his back came from a compromised AT-RT.

It's not Kesett week yet but I already got something for No Order 66, but it's long so bear with me.

So obviously Order 66 was a big bust and no one dies, everyone is fine except for Shittyious and Dooky. (They just end up killing each but I'm too lazy to go into detail). Jedi move away from Coruscant to reconnect with the Force and relearn themselves. Clones gain freedom and half of Tipoca City because they make a little more than half the population so like by some legality they get half. I don't know it's just a draft. Anyway, with these new freedoms this also means the Alpha-ARCs can take legal custody of Boba who is still a minor (he's like 16 by now because ending a war and shit takes a while). So Alpha-02, Spar, and Alpha-17 pick him up from prison and take him back to Kamino. Hurry for Boba he finally gets to be a part of his giant ass family (thanks for isolating him, Jango).

Half way through Boba's angst filled stay with his brothers a Tusken Jedi by the name of A'Sharad Hett contacts the Alphas telling them Boba is being summoned by his people for community service for his past felonies against them with Cad Bane (they're more willing to forgive a misguided youngling than a full grown man like Bane). The Jedi Council has also agreed to this and since the clones are still very close to the space wizard monks they agree too. However, none of the Alphas can escort Boba to Tatooine so they ask the commander of a battalion headed that way if they could take Boba. The troopers in question are the 13th "Iron" Battalion headed to Tatooine to help some of the local small towns who are gaining independence from Jabba. The troopers are being accompanied by their former COs, Master Jaro Tapal and his padawan Cal Kestis, as well as Master Cere Junda and Knight Trilla Suduri. Boba isn't pleased about any of this.

Day one on the ship and Boba is reunited with the youth brigade cadets he'd met years ago when he tried killing Windu. Boba thought they'd hate him but Jax said he always knew Boba was one of them. They're how he properly meets Cal. Since their squad is around the padawan's age (Cal is 15½ and Kix fixed the aging for the clones right after the war because Nala Se works hard but Kix works harder) and became friends with him shortly after being adopted into Iron Battalion.

Cal has noticed Boba from the moment they stepped on the ship and is absolutely delighted when Jax introduces them. At first he's nervous and his awkward new height (thanks random growth spurts) isn't helping but that doesn't seem to matter because Boba thinks he's funny. His struggle with adjusting to his new tallness and gangly limbs makes Boba laugh because he's never met an awkward Jedi before. Cal is practically walking on clouds by the end of their little hang out. They go on like this the entire week it takes to get to Tatooine and everyone is starting to take notice how the two seek each other out.

They land at Mos Pelgo (in the process of getting renamed Freetown) but like shits already hit the fan sideways before they even got there. Hett is there with his tribe as planned but Boba's punishment will have to be delayed as they try to figure out this krayt dragon problem both the Tuskens and the townspeople are having. This is where Junior Deputy Cobb Vanth (17) meets Boba. Oh how the plot thickens.

It's basically the plot of Mando S2E1 but with more high schooler drama and teen love triangle that isn't actually a love triangle because Cal and Cobb both have feelings for Boba but he only has feelings for Cal so really it's a love V.

OC designs 2/10

(These were all made on Picrew, https://picrew.me/image_maker/565738) These squads featured more prominently in the Clone Wars Senior Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi series, but they have also had smaller cameos in the Vopak AU series. I will give short information about them in this post, but if you search on this blog using their squad name, you will get more detailed information about them.

Victor squad - batchmates:

Corporal Glim (CT-1291) - is assigned to 41st Elite Corps. Short brown hair, right-side of face scarred from being on the edge of an explosion. Glim can be quiet, but also loud, no one personality can describe Glim.

Sergeant Delightful (CT-2112) - is assigned to 41st Elite Corps. Military regulation black hair with a scar across his nose. Delightful got his name because he is not someone you want to talk to before he has had two cups of caf in the morning.

Sunny (CT-1921) - is assigned to the 13th ‘Iron’ Battalion. Military regulation blonde hair and clean shaven. He was named for his blonde hair and his sunny disposition.

Flycatcher (CT-2253) - is assigned to the 212th Attack Battalion, Ghost Company, Waxer’s platoon. Clean shaven and slightly shaggy, short dark brown almost black hair. Flycatcher is my little cinnamon roll who must be protected at all costs (but a cinnamon roll who can and could kill you if the need arises). Flycatcher got his name because he caught a fly in the mess, the fly was still alive and so he let it go outside. He also loves all types of creatures and if he was allowed, he would be hiding as many small animals in his bunk as he could.

Blackeye (CT-2121) - is assigned to the 212th Attack Battalion, Ghost Company, Waxer’s platoon. Short scruff beard and military regulation black hair. He also has a black circle painted around the right eye on his helmet. As has been stated in fics, he is very protective of those he considers family. Aggressively protective. Which very much includes Obi-Wan.

Papa squad - batchmates:

Painkiller (CT-1619) - is assigned to the 212th Attack Battalion as a medic. He has regulation cut black hair, clean shaven and with a small tattoo on the top right side of his forehead of the medic symbol. Painkiller is the hardass of the medics. If you try to say you're fine when you are not. Painkiller will make you clean up your own blood if you have left a mess in the Medbay. One of his best friends is fellow 212th medic, Needle. (I found a picture of the medic symbol and pasted it onto Painkiller’s picture.)

Plates (CT-1612) - is assigned to the 212th Attack Battalion. He is bald and clean shaven. He works in the mess and kitchen of the Negotiator. While he is quite a friendly person, if you annoy him you will be served disgusting slop for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a few days.

Pippin (CT-1691) - is assigned as a pilot in the 104th Battalion. He has short red hair and is considered the most chaotic one in the batch. Painkiller has spent most of his life worrying about Pippin, the fact that Pippin is in a battalion without anyone from his batch is very concerning for Painkiller. Pippin likes to joke that he and Painkiller are twins because of the last digits in their CT numbers being reversed (91 and 19), Painkiller does not approve of this. No Pippin, they are not twins!

Pace (CT-1635) - is assigned to the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. He has buzz cut black hair. His partner in crime is Pax, they make Painkiller worry about them and their slight chaotic tendencies, but they are not as bad as Pippin.

Pax (CT-1624) - is assigned to the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. He has longish brown hair. Pax is the slightly more dramatic one out of him and Pace. Secretly likes musicals and will dance around humming or singing to himself when no one is watching. Pace is definitely watching and records him.
