If the CW didn't wanna show their characters having a queer little kiss (mouth to mouth, or on the cheek, anything) I'm just saying I would've been fine with a hug. One where Dean bundles Cas up and he's shaking and it feels like he'd never let go. He's got Cas' head resting on his neck and their chests are lined up so he can feel that heartbeat proving it's real. It'd be so palpably intimate that Sam and Jack and Eileen would leave them their space.

Or if even a hug, which destiel had done dozens of times already, borders on too queer after Cas' confession then how about smaller contact? A pat on the shoulder, or their hands brushing but never holding, or their knees touching as they're sat side by side but nothing more than that.

I'd have been over the moon if the show ended with them saving Cas and all Dean does to acknowledge 15x18 is fucking smile at Cas. Can you feel my desperation leaking through the screen? I'd have done so many things just to include Cas in that stupid finale.
