i think something to remember when folks talk about "pre-covid" scripts for 15x20 is that, well... that's anywhere from may/june 2019 to march 2020. a "pre-covid" script isn't necessarily the script that was being worked on immediately before set shut down, just a version being worked on before the set shut down.
bc there are a lot of draft versions a script goes through even before prod draft and it's super interesting to look at the handful of arenas/boards/outlines we have access to (full list on superwiki) vs the later drafts or final transcripts. and you can see how things will change and either get fleshed out or cut over that process. so who the hell knows how many pre-covid "versions" of the 15x20 script there even were before the prod draft in march 2020.

15.20 Carry On
Script:
If you want to read it offline, this is a useful tool.
Disclaimer: I (@lets-steal-an-archive) was, at the time it was listed on eBay, wary of the 15.19 and 15.20 listings and I still am uncomfortable including this script in the collection because I still suspect it is a reproduction made by someone who perhaps had access to watermarked originals that they retyped and then listed them on eBay as originals where they closed at around $2,000 each. They then offered pdfs for sale before the auction winners received the dead tree scripts they paid a fortune for (more than @spnscripthunt paid for any single script - $2,000 is more what people have paid, e.g. Shatner's 10.23, for scripts auctioned for charity). The winner of 15.20 reported the seller and received a full refund (and I'm glad they did, the whole thing was so sketchy). We have a 15.19 we know is legit and are holding out hope someone with a legit 15.20 will share a scan 🙏.

“the most homophobic episode of television” girl that's just an episode of supernatural. That's how it works. People die for dramatic effect. The homophobia is in 15x20 when they decide to pretend it didn't happen. And 15x19 but. The script said otherwise. You know. [Omitted] [Omitted]. I understand you need to be quite deep into supernatural to understand any of this and most people don't care but it (Misha Collins voice) irks me when people pretend like there is no lore just because they don't want to learn it

It's almost creepy how empty and devoid of emotions and heart the 15x20 script is. Like from the dialogue on its own to the directed actions, it's like staring into an empty husk of what the show was. Like even at its worst episode, spn still held true to what the show is but god, that finale was like watching a whole other show

Actually @mybrainproblems you have me reaching for my redacted-omitted-gunshots finale conspiracist tinhat again now because like. I look at all of Dabb's previous work and I look at 15x20 and I just think. Like. WHAT could possibly incentivize any writer, any storyteller, whether character or plot driven, to write an ending THAT horribly bad on every level for a show and character they put over a decade of work into??? And then I started thinking...what could possibly make ME do that? Is there anything?
And the first answer was no, but then the second answer was "someone else planning to do something even worse."
With everything we now KNOW is true about network interference and censorship of SPN basically from season 6 onward, with all those omitted script sections, with all the BTS details that were never, ever explained, and with the conflicting (but consistently so) reports from various actors and writers of different endings that got shifted/changed...I will never believe that any of the SPN writers, least of all Andrew "domesticate that masculine power fantasy" Dabb, actually liked or wanted that ending or thought it was in any way good. It's giving "mercy kill my child before the invading forces capture us" so fucking hard.
