in an interview with audacy music, taylor said that she did not change much from the fearless (taylor’s version) vault songs but a few words, with the exception of 'that's when’:
"I changed the perspectives because in That's When, we originally wrote it as if like, it wasn't a duet originally. It was originally about like a girl who, you know, the person she loves comes to her and says, 'You know, I need some space away from the relationship' and she's like, 'Fine. Whenever you want to come back, you can.' And I kind of just over time sort of wanted to change the story into it's, you know, me singing about needing space from a relationship even though I love the person, and that person being gracious enough to be like, 'Take your time. Whatever you need.' Because I just hadn't really explored that angle before of like needing your independence and somebody granting it to you, and that making you want to come back to them 'cause you realize they're the type of person who's always gonna let you explore and grow, and that that means they're the person for you."

Installation view of Freedom Square: The Black Girlhood Altar at the Chicago Cultural Center
The exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center opens with the installation “Homegoing.” The work is a suspended image depicting a screenshot from Ma’Khia Bryant’s personal TikTok. In the photo she’s laying her edges, her jet-black hair shining, her baby face clean and free of makeup. Below the printed photo is a collection of candles, stuffed animals, and a bouquet. On April 20, 2021, Ma’Khia was killed by an Ohio police officer in what was later determined a justifiable homicide. She was 16 years old.
In the gallery titled Rest and Recess: The Courtyard, the exhibition transports the viewer to the Caribbean where Black girls play together unburdened and hopeful. A tree, sculpted by Robert Narciso and made from branches from Rekia Boyd’s family home, sits in the center of the room casting a protective shadow over everything. From its branches hang yellow paper hearts scribed with the hopes and dreams of little Black girls. The sound of their joyful cacophony activates the space.

Google has fired more than 50 staffers in the wake of in-office protests over the company's cloud computing deals with Israel, according to an activist group representing the former employees.
No Tech for Apartheid has protested the cloud computing contracts Google and Amazon have with the Israeli government since 2021. The group said that Google fired more than 20 employees Monday night, bringing the number of total firings to more than 50 since last week, the group said in a statement posted on Medium.
The firings came after nine employees were arrested on April 16 during sit-in protests at Google offices in New York City and Sunnyvale, California, The Washington Post reported.
