Today’s article, “Faith In God Can Eliminate Our Fears And Anxieties!” serves to remind us of God's providence, provision, and protection. How can God's Word increase our faith? What is the connection between fellowship and eliminating worries or anxieties? Is God reliable to all of us in every circumstance? My prayer is that this post clarifies some of these kinds of questions, and hopefully blesses you with peace, strength, practical wisdom, and faith for your journey as a believer! #God #JesusChrist #HolySpirit #Bible #Christianity #faith #fear #anxiety #providence #provision #protection #fellowship #peace #Hebrews #1Corinthians #Isaiah #1Peter #Daniel https://www.instagram.com/p/CqG07jkPB9W/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Body Of Christ Has Many Parts
Tumblr media
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 In this article, the scripture text also serves as the introduction. Paul presented a beautiful illustration of the makeup of the church and how it should function. The children’s song called “Jesus Loves the Little Children” captures the heart of how the apostle described the body of Christ. “Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight.” Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 He went on to say the body has many different parts, not just one part. He emphasized the phrase “many different parts.” - If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. - And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 1 Corinthians 12:15-16 Of course, for the human body, a foot is a foot and not a hand. And eyes are for seeing while ears take care of hearing. Each part has its own unique function which makes up the whole body. If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? 1 Corinthians 12:17
Functions of the Different Parts of the Body
Paul made these descriptions sound as absurd as he could. Why? Because body parts don’t change places nor do they compete with each other. God specifically made each one of them. But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 1 Corinthians 12:18 The Lord not only put each part where He wanted them, but they each have their own function. Out of the 78 organs in the body, we consider some important and others weak. In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. 1 Corinthians 12:22 Paul said more things about the human body and its parts. You can turn to 1 Corinthians 12 to read what else he said. He made a huge point to clarify the importance of each part of the body.

We Make Up the Body of Christ
Just like God made the human body with many parts, the body of Christ also functions with many parts. And we Christians, make up all of those parts. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27 - Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: - first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, - then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, - those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, - those who speak in unknown languages. 1 Corinthians 28 Let me remind you that this list represents only some of the parts of the body of Christ. The apostle by no means gave us a complete list in this portion of scripture. He did, however, use this list for a specific purpose. He showed us that each part of the body of Christ has a responsibility to properly function. - Are we all apostles? - Are we all prophets? - Are we all teachers? - Do we all have the power to do miracles? - Do we all have the gift of healing? - Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? - Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? - Of course not! 1 Corinthians 12:29-30 At the beginning of the next verse, Paul made a statement that we could contemplate in two ways. So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:31 The first way, we might ask, “How can I be the most helpful in this given situation?” Or we could look at it another way and ask, “What am I good at doing that is helpful to others?”
1 Corinthians 12 to Chapter 13
Scholars divided the Bible into chapters and verses giving us easy references to its text. In my opinion, the break between chapters 12 and 13 happened in the middle of an important thought. The apostle expanded his thoughts on the functionality of the body of Christ with the following statement. But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all. 1 Corinthians 12:31
Tumblr media
Let me give you a clue of what must saturate every gift given by God and every Christian’s life. In the 13 verses of 1 Corinthians 13, the apostle used the word “love” 8 times. God created the body of Christ to work effortlessly together with Jesus as the head. He has glued the entire body of Christ together with a quality that will last forever — “Love.” Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 Lord, thank you for giving us gifts that enable us each to uniquely function in the body of Christ. Help us to never underestimate that which you have gifted us with. Check out this related post called Fan Into Flame The Gift Of God. Read the full article

The Spirit makes it happen
For we were all immersed into the one body by the one Spirit, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free men; and we all have been given to drink of one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12.13 McCord. Immersion is the door into the body of Christ. The Spirit makes it happen. It means all are equal before God. All have the same access to God in Christ by the Spirit. Herein is our unity. #daily…

Who Will Judge The World And When?
Tumblr media
The Apostle Paul frowned on the thought of a believer taking another believer to court. He went on to explain that one day believers will judge the world. Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves? 1 Corinthians 6:2 The apostle adamantly came against taking disputes between believers before a secular judge. A dispute occurs when two people have a disagreement requiring a third person to intervene. When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers! 1 Corinthians 6:1 Paul continued his case by expanding on who Christians will judge. Believers will judge more than just those on the earth. Look who else he said they will judge. Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. 1 Corinthians 6:3 He said that in their disputes they should stay away from bringing a lawsuit against a fellow believer. He said it’s better to just accept the injustice and leave it at that.
Disputes are Different than Wrong Doings
These lawsuits between Christians do not include criminal behavior. When a person commits a crime, even if it involves another Christian they have sinned against the laws of society. Everyone must submit to governing authorities. . . . For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Romans 13:1,3 Even those who do wrong and don’t get caught haven’t gotten away with anything. Paul went on to help us see that. - Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. - Those who indulge in ... - sexual sin, or who worship idols, or - commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or - practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or - greedy people, or drunkards, or - are abusive, or cheat people - none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

When Will Believers Judge the World?
Let’s get back to those who will judge the world and talk about when it will happen. The end-time events begin with the rapture of the church. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Soon after the church joins Jesus, the earth and its inhabitants will experience seven years of tribulation. At the close of those seven years, Jesus will return to avenge the nation of Israel. Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. Revelation 19:11 At the marriage supper of the Lamb, the bride of Christ, the church will receive the finest of pure white linen to wear. Those same people will accompany the rider of the white horse. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. Revelation 19:14 Jesus will defeat God’s enemies including the antichrist and Satan. God will imprison Satan for 1,000 years. And Jesus will set up His kingdom on the earth during the same time.
Who Will Rule the World with the Lord?
Who will rule the world with the Lord? The Bible tells us they will consist of two groups of people who share in the first resurrection. Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. Revelation 20:4
Tumblr media
The raptured church and those who died for Christ during the tribulation will judge the world with Him. One might wonder why we will need to judge the world after the capture of Satan. The answer to that question lies in this fact. Even after the tribulation and the Battle of Armageddon, many people will still inhabit the earth. And sin will still be their nature. The Bible reveals to us evidence of their sinful nature. At the end of the 1,000-year millennium, the Lord will lose Satan for a season. Then look at what happens. When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be let out of his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations—called Gog and Magog—in every corner of the earth. He will gather them together for battle—a mighty army, as numberless as sand along the seashore. Revelation 20:7-8
When We will no Longer Need to Judge the World
Fire from heaven though, will consume the attacking armies. Then God will banish Satan and all his followers, both human and heavenly beings to eternal torment. John then saw a new heaven and a new earth because the old heaven and the old earth disappeared. Then the Bible says that God will live among His people. And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”  Revelation 21:5 Just before Jesus breathed His last breath on the cross, He said, “It is finished. He had become God’s acceptable sacrifice for sin. At the end of time when man’s sinful nature is completely gone, He will utter those words once again. They will never need to be said again and we will never need to judge the world again. And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.  Revelation 21:6 Lord, keep us from confusion as we look ahead toward the end times. I am looking forward to the end of time because, for us, it becomes a new beginning. Thank you for your promises.
