frantic for the ship game?

What made me start shipping it: How well designed it is. Ruby and Sapph play into each other so well it's just *chef's kiss* Also it's canon and I mostly ship canon pairings

Do I ship it: Yeah

How I would want them to get together: I think the end of ORAS implies that they're dating or at least have the baggage worked out to date when they're older, but I feel like they should have one more arc to break down the barriers between them so that they can be vulnerable and relax around each other

What I like about it: Some of these questions are redundant huh

What I don't like about it: While ORAS did an amazing job handling Ruby and Sapphire I think it went a tiny bit overboard with Sapph's jealousy and emotional volatility, and I don't like how she's sidelined, though most female dexholders get sidelined. I think every fandom has a misogyny litmus test character, like how in the wc fandom you learn to stay away from anyone who hates Leafpool bc they're almost always raging bigots. I don't trust people who hate Sapphire for that reason, because they do go a tad bit overboard with her emotional volatility in ORAS, though that's just a part of who she is. (Man I hope that paragraph made sense but I don't feel like redoing it)

What I like about fancontent for them: @1ruby-sapphire 's frantic art is great. I also love how so many people have ideas and theories about RS and frantic and I love hearing them all

What I dislike about fancontent for them: Oh boy, I've ranted about this before. I don't like when people boil them down to prettyboy/wildgirl caricatures. People are mad that Ruby is masculine now and Sapph is feminine and they need to reread RS and really think about what's happening in the narrative

Song that reminds me of them: Oh boy, you came to the right person. Someone I Need by Onerepublic and Infinity by AJR are very ORAS themed; Stay Here with Me by Loving Caliber, The Run and Go by 21 Pilots, and Who Do You Love by Marianas Trench are Ruby-centric, Issues by Julia Michaels is the best Sapph one, and Kids Again by Artists vs Poet and Good to You by Marianas Trench are good Ruby-Sapph ones, though of course everyone uses kids again for franticshipping :p

When it comes to the most popular arguments against it, how legit do I think they are: Frantic is one of the most popular pairings so it doesn't have a lot of dissenters. I think most people who hate it don't like the direction Sapphire's character when in, which is valid but also dumb as I've explained before

Any last unpopular opinions: Ruby is definitely gnc, but I think Sapphire is more autistic, and she identifies as a girl but struggles with understanding how to be a girl. She clearly likes cute things and wants to have crushes and such, and it makes it cute that Ruby can make her outfits she likes and looks good in. And yes I'm aware that autism and genderqueerness go hand in hand, but Sapphire just really gives me the vibe of identifying as a girl. Idk that's just how I see them
