Here I was at a police station, in an interrogation room. I have been sitting here for the past hour doing nothing, they just put me in here and said they will be with me “shortly”. I put my head down on the cold sliver table, it was refreshing to feel something cold as it was hot in here or was it just me? I put my head up again and look at the chair in front of me, that's where the guy or whoever is supposed to sit. The silence was thick, as I have not said a word in like an hour.

Someone walks in, a girl and a guy. The guy was wearing a baseball cap with a Plano T-shirt, and a badge on his cargo pants, the girl was wearing a yellow blouse with regular old black skinny jeans. She had a clipboard in one hand, and a water bottle in the other.

They sit down, “listen you're not in trouble, we just wanna ask you some questions.” the lady in yellow said, she sat down the water bottle “This is you, I'm Detective Drew and this is Detective Mike we are going to just be asking you questions.” Drew reassured, “What's your name and date of birth?”

It took me a sec to take this in, this is really happening. “My name is Y/n y/m/n Y/l/n, and my Date of birth is January 1, 1997.” now after a couple of questions about me they started to ask the real questions, why I was here and what got me here.

“What happened on February 14?” Mike asked.

“In order for me to tell you, you have to understand what lead up to it.” I say.

January 1st, 2020:

It was my birthday, and a new year too I guess...Anyway, I am known for having big parties but only on my birthday any otheroccasion I will be at someone else's party. For my 23rd birthday, I wanted to make it big so I told my friends to invite their friends even people I didn't know. Me and my friend Misty went shopping, we went to an alcohol store to a Walmart back to an alcohol store.

Now when the party started there were like 100 people than 200, I couldn't let more people in cause my house is not that big. 40 minutes into the party my friend Jake walks up to my with two of his friends following behind him, “yo, y/n what's up!” he yelled over the music “hey what's up, do you wanna shot?”

He takes the shot of alcohol out of my hand and downs it with no shame, I take quick notice of the two boys behind Jake, o ne had black hair and was wearing a loose tank top with black sweatpants and Converse. The other r one had a loose big purple T-shirt with white pants.

I look back at the one with dark hair is and lock eyes with him, I could tell his eyes are really blue. My eyes snapped back to Jake, “Oh, you said I could invite anyone so I invited Sam and Colby.” Jake said pointing to them.

I went in and hugged them both, Sam first then Colby last but Colby's hug lasted longer than expected it was like he was smelling me, Sam pulled him off me and pulled have im away into the crowd of people. I look at Jake “That was...weird.” Jake giggles.

A few days later I got a package. the package  came at midnight, a knock on the door happened and I didn't answer at first cause I thought it was a ding dong ditch so I didn't answer. Then it happened again so I answer, expecting it to be my boyfriend I empty the door swiftly with a smile but all I see is nothing.

I look down at my welcome home mat and see a box placed on top of it, I pick it up thinking maybe it's my ring light that's presumed to come in but the box is light. I bring it in and put it on the tabletop “What the fuck is this.” Misty said I shrug my shoulders and open it, it was a notebook with my name on it. The notebook was wrapped in plastic wrap, I rip it open to read and maybe my boyfriend did something sweet for me.

The first page was a link, a link to a video of course. So I move away from Misty and the kitchen to go to my office by myself, I open my computer and type in the link to the mystery video. Oh my, it was a 5-minute video of me and my boyfriend having sex.

This was confusing, it looked like someone was recording us from a window, the video went in and out of focus. You can even hear moans from the background, but our window was closed so who was that deep voice whimpering?  all of the sudden the video cam goes down to show a man jerking off to us having us. My heart dropped when I seen the tiny hand tattoo, it looked like that boy that I met from the party. colby.

I close the tap quickly and I take a deep breath I open the book to read the rest, but the rest was all pictures of me. Every single page, I got out of my seat in a rush to see Misty to show her this hell show of a book.

But the  lights turned off, or as some of you would say the power went out. I turn my phone flashlight on, and I yell out Misty's name. “Misty! Turn back on the power and look at this book!” but no answer, I went to the kitchen because that's where she last was but no sign of her. I looked up in her room even in the living room she was nowhere so I decided to turn the power on myself. I went down to the basement and as soon as I was close to the last step, I see Misty's head hangin g in front of my face, her chopped-off hat that had exes on each of her eyes, her blonde hair was messy, and God knows where the rest of her body went.

I screamed and ran upstairs, rushing to call 911 on my phone  but every time I would call it would send me an automatic voice message " Sorry the Kansas police station cannot reach you right now we are currently busy. Try another time." and I kept calling and kept calling and kept calling but no answer so I decided to ask my neighbor for help.

trying to leave my house was a big mistake because as soon as I open the front door I see Sam holding a knife I automatically – and head for the back door until I see Colby at the back door, holding a vase. "why are you doing this?” I asked.

“ Because I love you.”  he throws a vase at me, but I managed to dodge and try to dash upstairs to hide, but Sam catches up to me and cuts the knife into my back.  I scream and screech in pain.  As I fall to the floor, both men standing in front of me, watching me, bleed out, probably to my death, and they ask me one thing .”

“ did I make you scream?”

and now, next thing, I know, I'm walking up in the hospital and now I'm in a police investigation room. That night still haunts me to this day will haunt me, even more, is that they're currently out there and the police are looking for them but they're not trying their best.

Some dog movie observations:

The 1990s to like 2010 seems to be the golden age of dog movies. We got Beethoven (1992), Homeward Bound (1993), Air Bud (1997), 101 Dalmatians (1996), Snow Dogs (2002), Because of Winn Dixie (2005), Hotel for Dogs (2009), Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008) to name a few that I enjoyed. There is also a slew of B-rate movies that while not as good, still have some charm. I will say I think it helps that cgi wasn’t heavily used in movies until the later 2000s and 2010s, and it is my humble opinion that too much cgi ruins the movies. The more tricks the dog actually does on camera, the better. Bonus points if clever camera shots and practical effects are used instead of cgi.

Anything before the 80s? Questionable animal ethics. (The Animal welfare act was passed in 1966, so really anything before then is… wild.)

Now. As we travel into the 2010s-2020s, we see an uptick in copaganda. (Max, Dog, Rescued by Ruby, and a Dogs Journey are some recent ones). We also see an uptick of Really Bad Movies (think like a dog-BAD. Lady and the tramp? WORSE.) we also see a lot of strange indie films about dogs (white god was….. weird.) this is also when the “air buddies” took off to be their own thing, which has turned into an entire studio that makes Bad Dog Movies (and also shows! Pup academy, phantom pups, and one other one on Netflix. They are Bad)

There are also several with like 100 remakes (lassie, benji, where the red fern grows, like 200 different white fangs smh) so I’m not super sure how I’m going to tackle those….

The most popular dog breeds in these movies are probably goldens, labs, German shepherds, Great Danes (! At least 3 so far; marmaduke, the ugly Dachshund, and Chestnut hero of Central Park), old English sheepdogs (! Surprising but there was a few!) and beagles (again at least a few movies). Also, terriers.

Dobermans, Rottweilers, Beaucerons, and German shepherds are top picks for the antagonist characters, or just as Menacing Dogs

There are several I haven’t watched yet because they are not on any streaming service, and I will have to check my library to see if they have any of them to loan. I am looking forward to the Tim Allen shaggy dog (horrifying poster- dog with human eyes photoshopped on), marmaduke (I remember this movie being terrible), cats & dogs (I remember liking these)

Im tempted to try and make a big long video just. Reviewing all the movies I have watched but that is a massive waste of my time and also I have the personality of a shoe so I’m not sure who would actually be interested in watching it. Much to think about.

Yknow how the forest territory is Believably England and then the lake is... Vaguely American? Are there any major changes to the lake from you pushing it back to being Believably England?

This is major nerdish territory but yes actually, in fact I specifically look at Delamere's programs and plan to model the visitor center (in RiverClan territory) off their new 2020 expansion. I think part of why the Lake feels "vaguely American" in canon is like... it's so hard to describe, but it's written like... a summer camp lake. Not a British nature reserve.

Meanwhile, the Forest Territories were based on NEW FOREST, which is a real place in Hampshire that Victoria Holmes used to visit. Because of that, the wetland, moorland, forest, and river are all grounded in reality. Of course it's believable-- Vicky was writing from experience!

Meanwhile, the Lake wasn't even supposed to "become the new map," she thought TNP would be the end of the series. The first sign that it the ecology was gonna get crazy, though, was the Tribe's mountain. girlie... it's southeastern England. what mountain? God tried to hit London with a frying pan and ended flattening the entire area, did Smokepaw fall to his death off a HILL?

But anyway, new BB Lake Territory biome models be upon ye;

ShadowClan's bog is based off Black Lake in Delamere, mixed with a bit of indulgence in specifically letting them destroy a sitka plantation lmao. There's more diversity in the other models though, which is why I don't say the whole thing is JUST Delamere.

The river and lake ecosystem look a lot more like the Dyfrdwy (re: the only protected water zone in the entire UK under the 1991 Water Resources Act) and Llyn Tegid (because it's big, well researched, and clean). The moorland is lowland heather, as seen in Thurstaton Common and Bickerton Hill, though I sometimes have to take research from further south or east because of how devastated those biomes have gotten in this region.

(the aquatic and moorland ecosystems have gotten so. so fucked in the past 200 years.)

(also side note if you want a chuckle, please read this article from the Wildlife Trust on "how to find heather" which has an entire section on what to do if you cannot access moorland, where it suggests other ways you can experience purple. Obsessed with the phrasing of this. Like it's a natural instinct. If you can't find heather go somewhere wet and look at a crocus.)

Other random things about Sanctuary Lake now;

It follows Llyn Tegid's watersports permits system. Power boats are banned and humans are only allowed to swim at the shore.

There's gonna be ruins in WindClan now. Was very surprised to find out that, no, that's not a movie thing, there's just ruins. Cool!

I keep waffling on what sort of ruin it is tho. I'm leaning towards a castle ruin, but Chester uncovered a roman coliseum so THAT would be really cool. It would be neat if they found a lion skull. Maybe some kind of Roman fort.

I was thinking about your glorious Save Rise efforts the other day, and how despite reguarly seeing Nick in 2018-2020 I NEVER heard of them, and I realized... Rise aired on Nicktoons, right? My TV service was popular, and expensive, yet a subscription plan that includes the basic Nick channel still did NOT have nicktoons. A kid could consistently watch Nick, but if they don't have some 200+ dollars to shill out every month, they may end up never even knowing about it, not even in promos.

So…Rise did not reach the people it should have…and A LOT Of it was because of Nickelodeon making it harder and harder to watch the show, by not putting it on air enough, moving it to a channel that not a lot of people have, and by NOT releasing it on streaming platforms where people can watch it. The reason it’s more popular now, is because more people are aware of it. It’s up to us to get the word out and make sure it reaches the people it needs to. I also have THIS video, which summarizes all the things that was against it from the start.

Nick pretty much pulled the plug on advertising, and they didn’t even bother to promote the movie, and it still garnered a much bigger fan base then before. I got into Rise because it came on Netflix.

And…heh…”glorious efforts.” Thanks. Sometimes, I feel like I’m alone in this and how much I want the show to come back, with original cast and crew, with Andy Suriano and Ant Ward at the helm. I honestly don’t know if my efforts will make a difference. All I know is that I know quality when I see it, and I know I won’t be happy with myself knowing that I didn’t do as much as I could to save something I love.

Fast and Furious Before; and After--not so much....

Failure to Stop for a LEO

In November 2020 -- behaving as if he were in sort of 'Fast and Furious' movie -- Police said an 18-year-old drove more than 160 mph during a chase, hit a Marion police cruiser and two other cars, and afterwards was found hiding in bushes. 

Dylan Cage Godwin, then aged 18, of Gastonia, North Carolina, was driving 101 mph in a 60 mph zone on Hwy 501 Bypass Sunday around noon, police said. When an officer attempted to pull him over, Godwin — driving a Camaro — accelerated to 150 miles per hour. 

Godwin made a U-turn near the Latta exit and started heading south again, according to the police report. Godwin allegedly 'lost gear' of the car and it stopped moving. The officer pulled in front of him to block the southbound lanes when the Camaro moved forward and hit the police cruiser, police said. 

The officer told Godwin to roll down the window with a gun drawn, and Godwin put the car back into gear and drove off, police said. Godwin took the Marion exit and headed towards city limits and went into oncoming traffic. Two officers swerved out of the way. 

In the area of Kimball Drive and the Food Lion parking lot, Godwin rear-ended a pickup truck and hit another car head-on, according to the police report. 

Godwin and a 17-year-old juvenile got out of the car and ran behind a probation office. Police said the juvenile was held against his will due to Godwin driving at speeds over 160 mph, which stopped the juvenile from leaving on his own, according to the police report.

Godwin was eventually found in some bushes in the 200 block of Warwick Avenue. 

Godwin was charged with failure to stop on command, driving without a license, speeding more than 25 mph over the speed limit, third-degree assault and battery, reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to stop for a blue light, resisting arrest with a deadly weapon — second or subsequent offense, hit and run, kidnapping, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Godwin completed his education and received his high school diploma 3 months into his incarceration.

We really need to bring back the clothing of the Han Chinese. Imagine if we could all walk around in loose, flowing comfortable clothes. Cuz modern clothing haz a serious lack of tassles. Just saying…

In 2019, Singer Halle Bailey is announced to play Ariel in the Disney live-action. This caused mass hysteria on the internet making the phrase “Not my Ariel” a trending topic. Individuals were crying, destroying their VHS tapes and DVDs of the animated “Little Mermaid” in retaliation.

Came up with different disputes as to why a fictional half-human half-fish couldn’t possibly be a black person. Black people can't exist in the little mermaid due to it being a Danish tale and there are no black people in Denmark (allegedly). Stating that this is the worst thing that has ever happened to them in their lives…

~Plague 2020-2023~

It's 2023 and content of the “Little Mermaid” is now dropping. For certain trailers people:

Deep faked using AI Art to make Ariel white while using Halle’s Ariel singing voice.

Stated the movie would promote “Animal Abuse” due to Ariel playing with flounder’s fins in an advertisement. Backing the rhetoric up with the hyperrealistic CGi could confuse kids as if they can swim and survive over 200 ft in the ocean to reach the type of fish flounder is just to play with it.

Claiming the movie is too dark, even though the trailer was showing the scene where it was nighttime in a cave.

Mad at the Ginger-Erasure although the Live action Ariel possessed hair akin to strawberry blond which is a natural color humans can have compared to the animated version you can only get from bleach and a box.

~Movie came out~

Complained over the fact that there was no slavery or Ariel being bombarded as a slave even though Ariel is not a human to begin with and slavery was not a concept in the original source material.

Mad that Ursula called Ariel’s song a “Siren Song,” and said that was a bad influence on kids even though Ursula was the one to use Ariel’s voice as an evil siren’s song to lure the prince and not the other way around like in the…original.

Complaining that Halle’s version of “Part of your world,” is a disgrace to Howard Ashman because *fixes glasses* she sang the song too well and that ruined the meaning.

Claimed that the actress playing Vanessa (Jessica Alexander) should have been Ariel only to get blocked by the actress in return.

Claimed that the actress playing Vanessa carried the film in her 5 minutes of screen time, or that she sang better than Ariel although Halle sang for both herself and Vanessa due to it being her stolen voice used for evil.

Called Halle’s Ariel disrespectful and horrible for kids to see because she did not ask permission before entering the Prince’s study or to touch his things as if her voice was not stolen by a sea witch 10 minutes prior in the film.

30+, childless, single, unemployed adults deep faking the new preschool Ariel show on Disney Junior to be white. Stating that this little show is ruining their childhoods knowing they will never watch an episode of it a day in their lives.

Sadly, using “Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kracken” main villain as a vessel to hate on Halle’s Ariel (she looked like animated Ariel) even though they would never step foot into a screening of this film.

Review bombing a movie they’ve never seen so badly that Google had to change the reviewing system altogether.

Goal posting the profits of the “Little Mermaid’s” box office, continuously stating that the movie did not break even and “flopped,” but continued to raise the money limit because the movie broke their original price statements. They claimed the movie needed 300m to break even then 400m and then 540m now they are stating the movie needed 700-800m to break even. When asked what exactly made the movie a “flop” could not elaborate or explain how the movie is not a success.

Most annoyingly, using the children in their lives to shield their own racism…ahem…” criticism” towards the movie saying that their kid wanted the og Ariel only to find out that the kid loved the live-action and was being used to fuel the hate train.

And last but not least, mutilating, changing, and disrespecting Halle Bailey’s features from her eyes down to her toes. Calling her a monster, alien, and beast. Making racist caricatures and blackface drawings to mock her role. Making colorist comments about her skin tone, calling it dirty, contaminating, and disgusting. Calling her natural hair ugly and so much more making me so happy that little kids (especially little black kids) never had to witness people picking apart someone’s race over a fish movie.

The Little Mermaid has been through a lot, and in my opinion, one of the worst worldwide hate campaigns I’ve ever seen. Although there was so much vitriol, it was lovely to see people from critics to children fall in love with this fairytale all over again and love Ariel regardless of what she may look like. If I missed anything I’m sorry.

Hell, look at those who adore OK KO Let's Be Heroes! and all those 200 episodes of Sesame Street being removed. You know, the show parents watch with their children to help educate them!

WALT DISNEY MOVIES by Ben Harman (2020-2024) - AMP: ALTERNATIVE MOVIE POSTERS (Part 1/10)

Long gone is the era where movie posters were designed and printed to make the moviegoer go wow with stunning artwork made by a skilled illustrator / designer.

That era ended in the late 80's-early 90's with the advent of photoshop and the standardization of production, creating images that would "fit" the needs of every country through "globalization", i.e. the denying of each nation and culture's singularities.

Thankfully salvation arrived in the late 2000's with independent movie theaters such as Alamo Drafthouse and their merchandising  arm, Mondo, who commissioned vibrant new creators / designers / Artists to create limited edition prints for the classic movies being screened.

In just 3 years by 2011, Mondo became a powerhouse releasing hundreds of prints (limited from 75 to 200 copies only) which sold out instantly (literally in less than 30 seconds!!!) on their website. Their example was followed by other theaters (Castro in San Francisco...) and Galleries (Bottleneck, Spoke Art, Mad Duck, DarkHall Mansion...) launching not only a truly Artistic movement called AMP, Alternative Movie Posters but also a new generation of incredibly talented creators / illustrators which THIS 10 PART BLOG is devoted to.

We start with most of the incredble limited eidtion prints create dby Ben Harman from his Disney series. he also did a Pixar series (Click on each image for details).

monday harry's rolling stone article came out which includes quotes from olivia going on about how kind his fans are, as well as being introduced as his girlfriend, all while harry denies ever having dated anyone publicly. he's also been ripped to shreds since on twitter and co bc of his comments on how "so much of gay sex in film is two guys going at it, and it kind of removes the tenderness from it". wednesday olivia's variety cover was dropped which starts off with olivia talking about "female pleasure" in dwd again - right after florence said she's annoyed with ppl only focusing on that aspect of the movie (florence also declined to be interviewed for the story). anyway olivia goes on to call jason nasty and vicious bc of how she was served at cinemacon, says her relationship with harry is private "out of deep love", and alludes to the fact that she fired shia, who was supposed to play jack in dwd, bc his process wasn't in tune with her creating a "safe, trusting environment" and her "priority was making [florence] feel safe and making her feel supported". yesterday shia turned first to looper then today to variety with emails and more from august 2020 to prove that olivia never fired him and he exited the production himself - smth that olivia apparently wasn't happy with bc we now have video footage of olivia basically begging shia to come back to the movie which would be "a wake-up call for miss flo". oh also we have to shoot harry to get him off the stage bc he's gonna be touring all of next year too.

In July 2020, i wanted to cheer up my brother by making him a blanket. Pixel art had always been something that fascinated me, so I had been dying to try out tapestry crochet. Little did I know I had found my new passion.

Shortly thereafter, I came up with the idea to expand it into a project where I make a blanket for everyone in my family.

Eleven blankets later (one of which I don’t have a pic of) I find myself here. I’m going to take a moment to give myself a slight pat on the back, because it’s wild thinking how far I’ve come. I enjoyed every single moment of this project. It’s like every blanket taught me something new.

When I started to post these on other socials, something more wild started to happen - people cared, they liked my work too. So thanks for that, it means a lot, even in small amounts.

But everything has an ending. It’s very bittersweet think that this is it. I don’t every intend on stopping, but to be perfectly honest this is very financially taxing. The ace attorney blanket cost me $200, and most of these were about $70.

This comes with its own question - monetization. It’s something I really struggle with because all of these blankets were labors of love. It was incredibly jarring when some recipients tried to hand me money, it felt like they couldn’t accept it as a gift. While well intentioned, it hurt my feelings a little. I’m not sure how sustainable this hobby will be if I don’t find a way to monetize it.

So blanket comms are open, mainly because I need new blanket ideas lol. I’m currently working on a sailor moon blanket and have something planned for the fnaf movie though.

I would like to take this moment to thank J, K, P, Dad, Mom, IG, R, IB, D, Grandma L, and L. For being so amazing - I love you all.

30 Years of The X Files. Celebrate The Pilot / Find Some Love For The Revival

It’s the thirtieth anniversary of the first airing of The X Files pilot. I love seeing all the love and celebration. What I find annoying is every article says something like “despite the disappointing revival”. I actually think season 11 has some of the best episodes of the series. I have written about that in other blogs. So today I want to move away from the objective, critical question about the quality or story worthiness of season 10 and 11 and make the argument that, while the enthusiasm of the fandom was responsible for bringing back the series for two more seasons, the revival seasons were responsible for revitalizing the fandom. There are fans active in the fandom today who were not yet alive on September 10, 1993. There are folks who were alive and, for what ever reason, hadn’t watched the show before. In some cases fans first introduction to the series was the revival seasons and they liked it enough to go back and watch the first 200 episodes and two movies. There were forever fans, active in the day, who became reinvigorated and re-involved in the fandom. Then there were original fans of the show, like me, who had not been part of the FANDOM in the nineties and now, to greater or lesser degrees, are active. As we celebrate the thirtieth year since the pilot aired, let’s remember some love for the revival.

For me, since 2015, much like the original fandom members, I have made some of the closest friends of my life. I have tried my hand at fan fiction, wrote a disability focused blog on the X Files, ran a David Duchovny fan site for a while, was briefly “famous in the fandom”, was complemented by a star of my favorite series (who is now my favorite 21st Century author) about my own writing. I had an adventure that literally saved me during the most difficult time of my life. It’s not that my crazy life isn’t still crazy and sometimes f*cked up. It is. But I understand the importance of play in a way that I had forgotten for about twenty years. I started writing again. I give myself time daily to connect with my friends, to play silly games, to have long discussions about things that are “unnecessary”, to relax, to smile. I practice self care. I actually view life differently now.

In the year of 2020…. Well, I’m sure I’m not the only one who found some comfort that in the isolation, I had an online community still accessible to me.

Don’t tell me the revivals were disappointing. Without them, I might see an article about The 30th year and remember when. Now, because of the revival, The X Files is always part of my consciousness. So, while in in 1993 -at 32, The X Files was my favorite show, it didn’t shape me or form me like so many younger fans. In 2015, at 54, watching the series again in preparation for the revival and searching online for more information, being part of the fandom, helped me to reassess my values and reflect on how I want to age. Let’s start showing those seasons more love.
