Rating the Captain America Uniforms From Best to Worst

First Place: Top Tier Uniforms

Stealth suit - A gift to humanity. Beautiful. Subtle. Perfectly fitted. The height of costume design. Hands down the best uniform in the MCU, I will not take any criticism.

Nomad - Perfection. Powerful. Badass. The symbolism of him no longer wearing any symbols and just being Steve Rogers? *chef's kiss*

Second Place: (my beloved)

Howling commandoes - There is just something unique and special about it that I can't explain. I love all the straps and i love the more subtle colouring. The emotional significance of him wearing it in TWS in an attempt to break through to Bucky is beautiful and gutting.

Third Place: Good

Civil War - Standard Cap uniform. I really love the little detail of him removing his Avengers patches from the shoulders following the introduction of the accords and his opposition to them.

Fourth Place: Neutral

AoU - Standard Cap uniform. No strong feelings.

Fifth Place: Honorary Mention

USO - Bucky, this is for you. I've seen the booty shorts and the chest-hugging top, I get it. Also it's kind of endearing and cute in a campy sort of way. Great look to wear to Pride w/o the tights.

Sixth Place: This is The Bad Place

Endg*me (All Uniforms)- One, I hate that the put him back in the Cap look, it was just another step in undoing his entire development/arc. Two, I hate the new scaly suit, it's I hate that the time suit is just CGI, I hate that they tainted the stealth suit. Three, there is just something Off™️/unsettling about all his looks in this movie that is very Stepford Wives. Only in second last place bc the last place entry doesn't have the benefit of being well designed.

Last Place: Turbo Hell

Avengers (2012) suit - Abomination. There is nothing good or redeeming about it. Everything about it is awful and redundant and ugly and I've never hated a costume this much. It's trying so hard to be the USO uniform but it never will be her. Why are there random zippers? Why the puffy gloves? Why any of it?

The smutt hahah the one time he sees her vaunerable is when she needs to feed as he may know bit of that after an encounter with dracula (reffrence: avengers assemble cartoon 2012) both doing fondue while y/n demon form with tail w horns hes got her in a doggy possition while fucking her he holds her sensitive tail both are rough and loving

KICKING OFF FANTASY FRIDAY

First THE FLUFF! No warnings except zero editing and I'm saving some of the succubus/demoness specifics for the other two portions of this 'mini-mini-series.'

Steve knows this is different when Sam jumps out of the crowded bar area to announce, "Steve, I'd like you to meet somebody."

He didn't say a simple "this is whoever" or "so-and-so would like to meet you," no. Sam Wilson said that he wanted Steve to meet the person squeezing through the throng behind him, and Steve is intrigued until...

He knows your face. He recognizes you, but from where? It's...right there on the tip of his tongue. No name comes to mind. He can't picture the background, the circumstance of when you met before, but...he knows that he knows your face.

"So when this lovely lady told me all about how her friends dragged her here and parked her alone at the bar once they all found--" Sam coughs "--someone for the night, I thought 'gee, she's got a lot in common with Steve.'"

Steve smiles kindly, noticing your sinking but wry smile, and he leans forward. "He's got his eye on one of your friends, doesn't he?"

"Rogers, don't ruin this for me," Sam grumbles, getting close to Steve's ear so you can't hear. "She's cute, man. Just try."

Sam's right; you are cute, standing with your hands wrapped together, feet in heels with the toes almost touching, nervous. Steve hates to make people nervous without intention.

Your giggle at Steve's insight is finally dying out, and he knows that sound, too. Still, nothing specific comes to mind, and it's going to haunt him that he's forgotten a face, especially your face.

Sam slips away, and conversation is surprisingly easy when you start out both joking at Sam's expense. He means well. He's a good wingman overall. He has enough confidence to fill the room (while suffocating everyone in it). He was right to think you two would get along.

Steve remains completely content to talk all night, even after a few drinks, even after Sam finds his way 'home' (but to whose home, Steve's not sure), and even after you step up to the curb to hail a cab. He doesn't want to be creepy or forward and insist on getting you to your door, but he wants to. He offers you his number because he doesn't want to ask for yours. That might be too presumptive. He also doesn't want to wait one extra second should you want to talk more.

You don't pull out a phone. You...don't have a purse.

Steve never saw you pull out cash or a credit card, and in concern, his eyes scan your skirt in search of pockets, making sure you have money to get home. The thick waistband sits high and then juts out in layers upon layers of tulle fluff. It, like you, is very cute and colorful. The fabric swishes in the breeze...even one so faint that Steve doesn't feel a thing.

Shit, he's staring, and directly at your ass of all things. His face flushes in embarrassment, and he rubs at his neck, muttering something about wrangling Bucky, who's still inside, to head out themselves.

If he weren't so ashamed of being caught ogling, he would have seen you safely into a cab, but instead, he simply turns around at the bar door.

You're already gone.

He's even more embarrassed when he finally realizes where he knows you from. It's a dream, a dream he had a while ago after a very stressful mission, and he has it again the night he truly meets you.

It's...it's really very stupid, he has to admit. You're just...he simply walks along a beach with you, hands wound together as you idly meander the ocean's edge. Conversation is just as easy in his dream, and that's stupid, right? He's being stupid--and creepy, which is exactly what he was trying not to be.

Nonetheless, Steve has never awaited a call so eagerly, but one never comes. Instead, Sam is meeting your friend again--your roommate, it turns out--so Steve invites himself to join...if you'll be there.

Sam is flabbergasted. Bucky nearly falls out of his chair.

"I'm sorry, punk, what?!"

Steve shrugs and desperately fights to keep the heat out of his face. "It's not that big of a deal, Buck. I just...wanted to see her again and--"

"Stevie's got a crush," Sam sing-songs, throwing his arms up and skipping all the way down the hall to his room before shouting back, "be ready at six, bud. Don't make me late."

Bucky just blinks, reading Steve's expression like a book, like he always could. After a long moment of silence, his friend nods.

"Good for you," he mumbles, an approving, slightly smug grin blooming across his stubbled cheeks, and then good ol' Bucky returns to his food.

You're old school, too, as it turns out. No phone of your own. Steve remembers what that was like growing up, and it brings back a nostalgia he never thought he'd feel again.

No phone means you make your next plans at the time you see each other, and you keep those plans. No phone means that if he wants you to know something before that next meeting, he writes it down--and if it's long enough until he sees you, he mails it. He never thought those simple things would feel completely archaic and inadequate, but they do.

For work, the team has a steady supply of burner phones, cheap little things that don't do much but do far more than nothing, so Steve gives you one with his real and regular number programmed in already. Then he can text you. Then he can call you. Then you can call him, and you do.

You mostly listen, and for some reason, Steve's never been so chatty in his life. It's nice to feel heard, though, and it's even nicer to feel like he doesn't have to talk solely about avenging. Silly, average dude stuff is his favorite. Modern contradictions are a close second.

On the subject of contradictions, however, Steve feels like one. He still has dreams about you, and they're so vivid that sometimes he forgets what he's told you in real life versus in dreams. Thank goodness you haven't noticed him slip up yet, but it's only a matter of time.

"I have something I want to tell you, and I don't want you to freak out," he starts over a casual dinner one night about two months after you met.

"Oh," you chirp, "I have something I need to tell you, too."

"Um, sure, but let me--" Steve wipes his palms down his pant legs "--get this out first, ok?"

You smile and give that cute nod of encouragement he's grown so fond of...addicted to, really.

"I...I dream about you. I mean," Steve stammers, "you're in my dreams. A lot. And it feels like I'm obsessed, but I swear I'm not trying to be. We don't--we don't do anything in the--oh no, that sounds wrong, but--it's 'cause I like you so much."

He expects shock, maybe a few thoughtful sips on your water, and another fair few questions about exactly what you actually were doing in his dreams, but instead you reach a hand out for his.

"Steve, that's..."

Your nose twitches while you gather your words. He can practically see your mind shuffle them into proper order; he just really hopes the words aren't 'good' and 'bye' and 'weirdo.'

"That's right. That is me. I'm in your dreams."

He blinks.

"I am in your dreams because...I'm not human, Steve. That's one of the things I do." You scratch at the wide headband across your hair, a signature piece of your look, along with those poofy skirts. "And I'm sorry if you felt it was invasive before...the time before we met, but I sorta wanted to see what the mind of a hero was like..."

You've released his hand by the last part, picking nervously at your fingernails.

Slowly, the words order themselves properly inside Steve's brain.

"You did that?"

You nod.

"On purpose?"

You nod again.

Steve leans forward to whisper, "what did you find?"

Now, you beam back at him, whole face aglow with the same affection Steve thought he could only dream of--until just this second--and you sit up straighter.

"A good man. A man--" you clear your throat "--worth getting to know in person."

He should ask who or what you really are. He should hesitate. He should think it all through a lot more logically and thoroughly than he has been.

Instead, he smiles back, blue eyes blazing in excitement.

"So if you're not human...is it still alright if I call you my girl?"

avengers au for INtO but I can't decide who should be C*pt*in Am*ri*a. Its tied between Cali & Toby — Cali bc I think he has more of Steve's personality / values, Toby bc of the whole "accidental time travel" thing. I'm leaning more towards Cali being Cap?? Esp since I'm thinking of Rowan being the W*int*r S*ld*er & they're. best friends 2 lovers buddies.

But then again, something about Rowan also fits with the H*lk as well. THOUGH, I think him as Bucky makes more sense.

Jane is Bl*a*k W*d*ow, obviously. And Jordan is LITERALLY Tony, like. canonically they're a clone of IM so yeah they were the easiest one. Elliott can be Th*r bc, idk, space?? Actually you know what. Toby can be Hawkeye bc, much like the M*rv*l Fandom in 2012, i constantly forget about him.

oh carol, i've been thinking and i find it so interesting how steve is really quite.. self-contained? introverted? idk how to phrase it but i think he so keeps to himself. like he lives alone in tws, he eats alone in that deleted scene in tfa, he's reading when the others are roughhousing in tfa, he enjoys quiet reflective hobbies (art, reading), he rides motorcycle (not a car which could drive more people) etc. to me it makes his friendship w natasha + reaching out to sam extra special :-)

no literally… steve is so sweet and funny and genuine even when he doesn’t know people (like even in tfa when that girl is being dismissive of him he still makes sure to offer her popcorn). in the bar scene he clears all of the howlies glasses and decides to stay with bucky and them even when peggy is right there. i find it so :/ when people act use av 2012 steve to paint him as this rude uptight guy because he’s only standoffish to tony after tony literally begins their interactions by making a weird joke about his age and (fairly recent) traumatic experience (which is also a huge reason why he’s so drawn in on himself in that movie. like ??? USE LOGIC EVERYONE). steve is nice! he’s polite to coulson and smiles at him despite the kinda awkward interaction. he shakes bruce’s hand and he calls natasha ‘ma’am’. clearly he becomes her friend, because in tws he takes her joke about his age in stride and is smiley about it— and before that he initiates the “on your left” joke with sam and stops to check in and chat with him after and he’s just so… good with the right people. like you said, he’s pretty contained and i think it’s because of what he says in that letter he wrote tony in civil war. he’s been on his own for most of his life, and he felt alone even in the army and with the avengers. he’s not anti-social necessarily (yes, he declined all those dates nat tried to set up but … we know why). he goes to the party in aou with sam but also hangs out with thor and gives his jacket to maria while he’s there. he’s nice to sharon when he thinks she’s just his neighbor and invites her to use his washer because he wants to make things easier for her. in civil war when wanda is upset about lagos, he goes into her room to check on her and talk things out by opening up about the own mistakes he knows he’s made. and that’s another thing! steve isn’t as emotionally constipated as people pretend. even though he tends to put his own problems and needs last, he’s aware of them. he admits to some of them. when peggy finds him after bucky’s fall, he says he thinks it’s his fault. when sam asks him what makes him happy, he’s honest in saying he doesn’t know. when natasha says she knows how much bucky means to him, he doesn’t deny it. steve isn’t an open book all the time, but he’s not a cardboard cutout either. he’s emotional … out of the og6 avengers and just most of the men in the mcu (maybe even just general people), steve cries the most. he’s not a toxic alpha male ????? like 😭 he’s sensitive and smart and stubborn and sarcastic and i love him for all of those things. it makes complete sense with his character too because i think his hobbies and choice in friends kind of reflects the fact that he’s content to be quiet sometimes but also has no problem taking charge. he uses being an artist to draw out his frustrations and feelings. he uses being a reader to catch up on things he missed and understand battle strategy better. he rides his motorcycle around quietly at night but also uses it when he’s on the job facing rougher terrain.

god … i love him so much. he’s just so complex. i wisj people explored him more instead of making him this guy he just … isn’t.

holidays w/ the avengers

warnings: some swearing bc it’s me

pairings: none! literally just a lil headcanon set

characters included: like all of them??? idk a shit ton of them at least

so we’re going back to 2012-esque avengers tower

clint’s in the vents and thors eating some pop tarts

no but they’re all living in the tower, they’ve each got their own rooms

around probably 7am people start getting up

first is steve, then probably sam and so on and so forth

clint and tony are around the last to get up

natasha made clint coffee and that was his christmas gift

he was by no means disappointed

they have a huge ass tree

it’s so big

and so unnecessary

most of the ornaments are from the dollar tree

carol pops in for like a second- says hi and brings a bowl of pretzels and then gets the fuck out of there

tony bought them all matching sweaters as a joke

only bruce and steve are wearing them

sam takes pictures

thor literally busts through the fucking door at like 11am with a santa hat on

loki is also with him- walking very far behind him and trying to readjust the door hinges

he is wearing all black bc he’s a god and this holiday is stupid

thor also has a full rotisserie chicken

sam makes bucky wear a santa hat

bucky is not pleased.

wanda and pietro have matching hanukkah sweaters

bruce switches to a hanukkah sweater bc it’s more comfortable

natasha is wearing nothing festive but clint bought her christmas light earrings so you bet your ass those are on

tony gloats about how much each of his presents cost

steve gave everyone giftcards

natasha got steve a fancy watch

she got bucky a cool little ring

got nat would be such a good gift giver

so would fucking wanda omg

wanda is such a little pinterest bitch who writes down anything that someone says they want in her notes app

wanda got loki something and this grown ass man almost cried

he was so touched

it was probably just a silver ring or something but it had extreme emotional value

she is making star of david cookies and is educating every single bitch on the second temple

they just like having a reason to be with each other

steve does say grace at dinner and stephen interrupts him with some psychological/existential bullshit

no but they’re all kinda fucked up

so they use the holidays as an excuse to appreciate each other without acknowledging the shit they’ve been through

okay that bucky thing with 2012 steve was weird yes, but also the fact that endgame steve was losing to 2012 steve??? like, we saw him up his fighting in winter soldier, and i'm sure he's only gotten better since then--2012 steve didn't have any training and shouldn't have stood a chance?

ok so let’s say (hypothetically) steve rogers hadn’t been in a single fight in the five years since the snap. he’d still have his super strength, and almost a decade of new fighting techniques and skills that 2012!steve wouldn’t have

and listen. I love cafta steve. but that bastards fighting technique was essentially hitting things really hard. fresh out of the ice steve, and steve in the avengers 2012 hadn’t really upped his game yet at this point. most of his training had been by himself hitting a punching bag. but yknow what if we gonna get into let’s really get into it

let’s start with how almost immediately 2012! has the advantage over e! steve (despite 2012 steve just having spent the entire day fighting off an alien invasion and probably being exhausted)

THEN e! (knowing he’s at a disadvantage) seems to decide that his best course of action is to kick the scepter off the bridge and then throw steve off it.... which would have worked, except 2012 pulls him down w him

once they’re fighting on the ground level, e!steve is almost taken out by an incredibly basic maneuver and put into a choke hold.

the only reason he won that fight is bc he told 2012 that bucky was alive. so he literally almost lost to a far less skilled version of himself. I know it’s just shitty writing but maaaaaan is it shitty writing

I want to preface that yes, I recognize Comic!, EMH!, and 2012-fanfiction-air-vents!Clint supremacy, I am probably too sleep-deprived and fangirly to think straight/remember things correctly, and that yes, this was probably influenced by my ✨quirky✨ liking of cold weapons like swords, daggers, and yes of course, bow and arrows

This is also not aimed at you. I am not angry at you. I am just tired of thinking I have a bad taste in liking characters (well maybe I do)

Look, hot take, if you’re not saying “it should have been Thor” or “it should have been Steve” or “it should have been Hulk”, don’t say “it should have been Clint”

Like imagine you have this perfect family and friends

I know you do don’t pretend

And you lose it in an instant. Perfect relationships, all gone. Won’t you be on your villain arc? Mans cut his hair and got a ton of tattoos, got the whole mental breakdown setup

And I know going off killing people is wrong and only making Nat a redeemer trope (iirc) is also wrong but can’t you at least understand survivors guilt??

People see Pietro dying and don’t remember Clint literally shielding the kid with his own body, ready to die

People see nat dying and don’t remember Clint wanted it to be himself too

People don’t remember Clint figuring out the tesseract portal opens both ways before Erik fucking Selvig, just like Nat figuring out the stones’ placements before the PhD Havers™️

(Going on a stretch here) People don’t remember Clint risking exposure of his family to find a safe house for his team. They don’t remember Clint supporting his best friend (AoU helping Nat into the house when her love interest was RIGHT THERE) even when he himself was badly hurt (Avengers 2012, med bay)

They don’t remember Clint seeing the potential Avenger in Thor when he was crying in the mud like a baby. They don’t remember him introducing Ant-Man to the Avengers when nobody knew who he was and he ended up playing crucial roles in future films. They don’t remember him recruiting the Maximoffs and Natasha, looking past the bad things they did when they didn’t know better and believing that they can do good

Do people not think that without the Cap Fanboy Arc in the MCU, he teamed with Cap because he was once brainwashed and understood how Steve (and we) believed that Bucky did no wrong (and that we deserve more winterhawk content)?

Man I can go on and on about how in CACW Nat and him were just normal people w/o OP gear doin some cardio and fake fighting like the besties they are

Anyways, if the fans can spot the blurry pic in TFATWS’ museum is the one taken by that one person w a camera in CA:TFA of Steve holding that broken taxi door, they can realize that Clint is among the people who are able to throw the shield, presumably with minimal training (AoU, first fight with ultron after the party)

If they can deduce that Bucky is a rich kid from two lines (“my folks wanted to give you a ride” in CA:TFA: owning a car during the depression; remembering throwing what’s equivalent of ~$50 for a redhead girl in CA:CW) and then coming up with the headcannon of Bucky‘a family started the chain bookstore of Barnes & Noble, they can understand that Clint haS A PERSONALITY.

Please for the love of god stop doing him dirty in the TV series

Also if they gave him a family only for him to get divorced I’m coming for the writers

thinking about steve's deeply rooted abandonment issues tonight so here’s yet another long winded post about shit that no one asked for! i tried to ramble about it in the tags but it literally got too long so…

i think part of the reason i get so annoyed w the eg ending obsessors focusing mainly on twisting steve into like… this toxic evil person who leaves bucky and everyone else all the time is because although there are criticisms to make about steve dumping such a heavy burden (the shield) on sam and then dipping on both him and bucky (yes there are other issues but they have already been beaten in by like ten million twitter threads- are we not miserable yet?), when it comes down to it, STEVE himself has been consistently abandoned his entire life. by almost everyone he has ever deemed important. even before he was born.

also, one of his main traits in my opinion is basically that he's loyal to a fault. not in a blind follower way, but kinda like how they describe it in percy jackson- excessive personal loyalty. “he will risk his life (and even the world) for his friends, family, and sometimes even strangers and enemies who he empathizes with… being overly loyal could lead to making you predictable to your enemies as well”. yeah! that’s a pretty Steve quote i feel like. that logic is partly why zemo chose bucky as his tool to break up the avengers and get his revenge, but ANYWAYS! steve attaches himself to people very deeply once he trusts them.

(mcu) steve's dad died before he was even born because of ww1. steve’s mom dies months after he turns 18 bc of something she caught at work. both of those things happen because the personal priorities they had outside of steve took them away, so being left behind is a lesson that steve learns from a very young age onward. eventually, ww2 takes bucky too, and while it isn’t bucky’s fault, just like it wasn’t sarah or joseph’s (even if bucky enlisted, because… NAZIS? hello) it still has to hurt steve to see him leave outside of the fact steve wants to go too. steve gets left at the expo. he gets left when erskine is killed - a man who was probably the first to fully believe in steve outside of sarah or bucky in years. even howard and peggy don’t stick around once the USO stuff starts, because what good is steve to them as a show pony? time passes. steve gets bucky back and forms a team. things get as good as they can during a war— and then, bucky is taken from him again by the fall.

yes, in the end of tfa, steve is the one who leaves as the valkyrie goes down. maybe his choice to not try and escape is intentional. maybe not. either way, when steve wakes up, he's essentially been left behind by every single person he knew before in life. the howlies are gone, howard is gone, peggy is pretty much gone. bucky was gone even before the ice. their legacies are still around, but you can only cling to that so much. avengers 2012 happens and the avengers dont really stick together much after. there are tentative relationships formed, but steve rides off alone.

we dont know how long it took for him to settle down in dc after. he does form somewhat of a life with working at shield and being nice to his neighbor, but it’s very short lived thanks to everything that goes down with hydra. we see signs of steve not being sure he can trust nat even before everything sort of explodes, but then all of the sudden, steve can’t really trust anyone. even his nice neighbor only talked to him to spy on his activity outside of work, and work is not turning out to be so good anymore. eventually, steve does come to trust nat. he finds sam and trusts him. he even sort of finds but, but maybe that doesn’t count, because steve never really got him back to begin with before he left. steve fell with every expectation that he was going to not wake up, so when he did come to in that hospital, seeing sam there was a comfort, but also a shock. steve wasn’t supposed to be alive to be left by bucky again to befin with. i feel the need to reiterate that i’m not trying to make things out to be bucky’s fault, because he had every right to make the choice to walk away (and tbh it WAS the smartest decision— even if we were shown that bucky wanted to take steve with him, he couldn’t. steve needed a hospital. he would have died if bucky’s curiosity had won out over his other choices). i’m just focusing on the fact steve was left behind yet another time.

still. steve searches for bucky for two years after that and only finds him in the end because of zemo. bucky was in hiding, and i don’t think he was planning on changing that anytime soon from the looks of how he was living and his reaction to coming home to steve in his kitchen. it’s not stated outright, but he was likely slipping away from steve’s search attempts on purpose in those two years, which again, is his right. but it probably still made steve feel a lot of different things, even though he also probably understood why bucky was running. anyways. once civil war starts, bucky (understandably) tries to run again from the apartment. he does not suggest that he wants steve to come with him. a lot of shit happens in between scenes, but natasha ends up on the opposide side of steves team for a while, even once she rejoins him, it ends with her and sam being taken away from steve. all of team cap is imprisoned and nat is threatened with the same treatment if she acts out again. bucky going into cryo at the end of the movie was such a fucking cop out on the writers’ part and if anyone wants i will rant about it in more detail sometimes, but to make a long(er) rant short: to me, that had to've fucked steve up so much. bucky has left him so many times before, but this is the first time that it’s confirmed to fully he his choice. bucky is in his right mind. steve isn’t bleeding out or drowning. it’s different than the other times.

steve lets him go, though. he accepts it even though he doesn’t look like he wants to, because that’s another thing steve is: selfless to a fault. he goes out and breaks his friends out of prison. he finds nat and goes on the run with her and sam for the next few years while bucky is in cryo and then eventually is in wakanda, awake again and building a life. steve visits him, checks in on him, seems somewhat content— and then, thanos and the snap happen. vision is killed. almost all of steve’s friends, his family are gone within seconds. steve watched it happen to bucky, but the fact he doesn’t even get to see sam go is horrible in its own way. it’s like what happened before, but even worse, because was this what his friends from before felt like when he went into the ice? bucky, sam, and the others are gone for five years rather than seventy, but considering steve had only been awake in the modern century at that point for around.. what, seven years? five years without most of the people he’d finally come to hold close… without bucky, who he’d only had back in small doses for a few years… it’s awful to think about.

steve still steve had natasha, who was mourning the loss of sam and yelena herself. steve has natasha, and then, he doesn’t. she’s taken too, and that span of time between when natasha didn’t come back from vormir and when sam and bucky were still dusted… god, steve’s grief is never properly shown. eg’s writing sucks in a lot of spots for a lot of reasons, but the lack of gratification we get for steve finally being reunited with the people who he loves who have been repeatedly taken away from him is SO annoying! it’s so stupid! i hate this common agreement that the secret steve slanderers have come to about steve being some sort of serial abandoner when the truth is, steve is the one being abandoned at every turn. some of it is for good reason, some of it arguably isn’t, but even if he understood— how he must have felt… how used to it he tried to get… how much he hated that it still hurt every time.

god. i wish more people would be angry about that part of his arc being ruined too not just by the writers but by some of his own stans. there’s a reason he told tony in that letter that he’s always felt alone.
