Sorry if you have a tag for this, but, you said he talks or takes pictures with fans w disabilities? 🥺 i’d love to see some
(sorry i’m new here 🧏♀️)
that's okay, and welcome to f1blr! (: i sadly don't have a tag for that, but maybe i should start one 💜
here he is visiting great ormond's children's hospital in late 2022
he did the same in 2018 :) [more pictures here!]
at the track with kids from great ormond street back in 2007
here's an article about nicolas, lewis, and when lewis got nicolas into his seat in the mercedes (and driving the sim!) 💜
in 2019 lewis arranged to have his car and spanish gp trophy taken to a little boy with terminal cancer named harry shaw, which you can see here, dedicated the spanish gp win to him here, and paid tribute to him at the canadian gp after his passing
he also had his car sent, along with a parade of supercars, to a 3-year-old boy named morgan riddler in the same situation who was supposed to attend silverstone and sadly didn't make it [here]
here he is with billy monger at the 2017 british gp after his accident, and here's his post from 2017 congratulating billy on his nomination for laureau's sporting moment of the year and encouraging people to vote for him
lewis with a fan at the factory this year
'nother picture with billy! and here's all the pictures of lewis and billy that motorsports images has (:
lewis became an ambassador for the invictus games in 2015 and playled some wheelchair basketball
with a fan at the u.s. gp in 2015
lewis and lewis! with lewis hammans in 2018
lewis with 9-year-old luca, who was visiting with other patients from great ormond, at the british gp
sir lewis taking sir frank williams on a hot lap of silverstone in 2019 🥺
and, of course, lewis always making sure nicolas is involved in his career. that, i do have a tag for (:
also! only tangientally related, but if you would like disabled drivers to cheer on, nicolas (who has cerebral palsy) races in the british touring car championship and robert wickens (a paraplegic after a horrific indycar crash) drives in the imsa michelin pilot challenge (which is gt racing) 😊
everybody, abled and disabled, please feel free to reblog this! us disabled and chronically ill fans belong here and the goat said so 💜👑

2018 is such an amazing season both from the racing perspective and is also imo lewis’ best season; the thing about that year is we had three teams capable of winning (red bull's performance obv much more track dependant than ferrari and mercedes), but neither ferrari nor merc were ‘dominant’, it all fluctuated and changed, everything within tenths decided by the smallest of margins, and sometimes you just had lewis pulling quali laps out of nowhere just because he’s Him™️; that season was just one huge goated performance from lewis (i like to think that spin in Silverstone caused by kimi was the turning point), it was the stand-out in terms of delivering on days when the car just wasn’t there, comeback drives, quali laps that are honestly breath-taking, and I’m not only talking about Singapore (I recently rewatched Silverstone 2018 qualifying and my god was that a lap, he was shaking when he got out of the car) and it is overall just a privilege to watch him drive like that; it is also my favourite to rewatch (2020 is on par depending on the day and for entirely different reasons), but in terms of rivalry, good racing and watching lewis do magic with that W09 yeah it's special

so, since I like numbers, here's some facts (not opinions) about this season.
Pecco dnf 5 times this season:
- Qatar (first Ducati was Enea P1)
- Le Mans (first Ducati was Enea P1)
- Barcelona (first Ducati was Martín P2)
- Sachsenring (first Ducati was Zarco P2)
- Motegi (first Ducati was Miller P1)
In the other 12 races Pecco finished, he's been the first Ducati except for
- Mandalika P15: first Ducati was Zarco P3
- Argentina P5: first Ducati was Martín P2
- Austin P5: first Ducati was Enea P1
- Portimão P8: first Ducati was Zarco P2
- Aragón P2: first Ducati was Enea P1
- Buriram P3: first Ducati was Miller P2
So Pecco has been the first out of 8 Ducati in 6/12 races, or if you want 6/17 (17 are the races run so far).
Enea has been the first Ducati in 4/13 (Enea dnf 4 times), or 4/17 (2 of them Pecco dnf).
Zarco has been the first Ducati in 3/13 (Zarco dnf 4 times), or 3/17 (1 of them Pecco dnf).
Miller has been the first Ducati in 2/15 (Jack dnf 2 times), or 2/17 (1 of them Pecco dnf).
Martín has been the first Ducati in 2/13 (Martín dnf 4 times), or 2/17 (1 of them Pecco dnf).
Overall 2 (Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi) of the other 7 Ducati have never finished in front of Pecco, 2 (Marini, Martín) finished in front of Pecco once (Marini in P14 in Mandalika when Pecco was P15; Martín in Argentina in P2), other 2 (Zarco, Enea) finished in front of Pecco twice (Zarco in Mandalika in P3 and in Portimão P2; Enea in Austin P1 and Aragón P1), and 1 (Miller) finished in front of Pecco 3 times (in Mandalika in P4, in Austin in P3, in Buriram in P2).
To complete the picture we can also notice that Pecco won 6 races and made 8 podiums (he's never been out of podium unless crashed since Jerez, it means 12 races); Enea won 4 races and made 5 podiums; Miller won 1 race and made 7 podiums; Zarco made 4 podiums; Martín made 3 podiums; Bezzecchi made 1 podium.
Now tell me again about the 7 Ducati that need to help Pecco, as he's not the best rider among them all at the moment.

Jamie and Claire can only watch helplessly from the shore as the ship turns downwind and the massive sails billow as the frigate begins to sail away. The horror and shock hitting them as they watch the ship grow smaller in the distance -- and Young Ian along with it.
