Today...is a very special and important day for me, folks~💝😊Three years ago, a certain special troll became the highlight of my 2020 during rough times and immediately won my heart from the moment I knew he would have his own destiny and journey to find others like him...and his family. Since the first Trolls movie, I have always admired dearly him from afar and the moment I saw him during the Trolls World Tour trailer, my heart literally poured out him and I have truly loved him for just being his wonderful, lovable self ever since~💘🥹 And that certain special troll, is none other than...Cooper~💗🌈✨

I had some unexpected downtime yesterday, so I watched “Happiest Season.” When I finished the movie, I was in the mood for another chill holiday movie, and looked through Amazon Prime’s offerings. I found one called “Beyond Christmas” from 1940, and it’s totally bananas.

The first 30 min of “Beyond Christmas” (which has an 80-minute runtime) are basically “old rich white guys being nice to poor people, just for funsies,” and honestly, I’m here for it. But then it gets weird. Let’s break this movie down. It is a RIDE.

The movie opens with street scenes of Christmas and gently falling snow in New York. We are then brought to a nice living room, where two older businessmen are dictating Very Businessy Things to their secretaries.

A third older businessman enters, arms full of gifts. He basically tells everyone they need to stop working, because it’s Christmas Eve. Secretaries are given gifts, and they go home. Businessmen start getting ready for a Fancy Meal with two expected Fancy Guests.

But oh - Fancy Guests cancel, last-minute. And here these men are, on Christmas Eve, in their own home, in tuxedos (yes, really), with nobody but their deposed-Russian-countess maid (yes, really) and butler (who fled Russia with her) to keep them company. WHAT DO

I’m going to pause the plot description for just a moment to describe these dudes. We have Optimist Guy, Pessimist Guy, and Moderate Guy. That’s basically all you need to know about them, except they are all older, unmarried men and are BUST BUDS and love each other very much.

Optimist Guy gets an idea. Why don’t they take the extra wallets they had intended as client gifts, put $10 in each of them, as well as a business card, and fling them into the street below? Any honest person who attempts to return a wallet would then be invited to Fancy Dinner.

Other Business Bros agree. They make a bet on whether anyone will turn up.

Dinner is at 7. Clock strikes 7, nobody has turned up, and it appears Optimist has lost the bet.

But then - the doorbell rings! It’s a shabby man from Texas, returning a wallet. He has holes in his shoes.

Soon after, a pretty young woman turns up with a second wallet.

Both are invited to dinner. The whole household has a marvelous time. Texas sings a song & woman is 😍.

When the party ends, Business Bros slyly give Texas a nice overcoat, because he didn’t have one.

Then we get a montage showing the next few weeks - this newly-formed polycule of 3 Business Bros, Texas, and Pretty Young Woman are inseparable. They go to parties & bowling.

Then Business Bros get called to a Business Trip. They need to fly somewhere to do a thing. Deposed Countess Maid begs them to take the train, because planes are scary. They laugh at her.

While Business Bros are gone, Texas and Pretty go for a walk and get engaged. They rush to Business Bros’ house to share the news, in hopes they’ve returned.

They haven’t returned. They’re dead. And now they’re ghosts, haunting the house.

Countess invites the young couple to live in the house, and the ghosts nudge her to find an envelope of bonds left for the couple’s wedding. Business Bros knew what was up.

Journalists take an interest in Business Bros’ death and want to keep writing about it, even when there isn’t much else to say. They learn about the couples’ little inheritance and decide to write about it, for reasons. Which leads to the couple being invited onto the radio.

Pretty is excited for Texas to go on the radio, because he’s such a good singer and this could be his big break. I guess it’s normal to get interviewed about a death and then be invited to sing? Did New York really lack content to fill airtime back then? Who knows.

At the radio station, Texas meets Famous Singer Lady, who is excited to hear him sing.

Texas sings, blows it out of the park. Famous Singer Lady invites him to be part of her Famous Singer Lady Tour. His big break!

Cut to Business Bro Ghosts. Optimist Ghost is Jazzed AF for Texas and wants him to chase his dreams.

Pessimist Ghost says becoming a singer will lead Texas to a life of depravity.

Pessimist Ghost says this, then immediately gets sucked into Hell.

Yes, really.

Other two Ghost Bros: “WELP.”

Sure enough, though, Pessimist was right. Texas gets caught up in The Life and immediately begins neglecting his wife Pretty and flirting with Famous Singer Lady.

Pretty is sad. Optimist tells her to fight for Texas. She goes over to the house and they have an awkward conversation that’s basically Texas saying, “Uh, being a famous singer is, like, A Lot, so maybe I’ll just call you when the tour is over?” And she’s like, “K, bye” & leaves.

Optimist tells Texas to chase after her, and he almost does, but then the phone rings and it’s Famous Singer Lady saying she’ll pick him up in 20 minutes for their vacation together in the country.

Ghost Bros (minus one) are upset, but then the sky opens up and a young man in military uniform comes down from Heaven to get his dad, Moderate Ghost. We didn’t know Moderate had a kid. He’s never been mentioned. But here he is. Moderate asks son what heaven is like.

Ghost Army Boy says “what do you want heaven to be like?” And Moderate gets all misty-eyed and says he wants it to be like the barracks, minus the front. He was happy in the war, surrounded by “ready young men.” !!!

Cool, so it shall be. Moderate goes to Gay Heaven. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎

Optimist Ghost is alone, but he’s determined to do...something...to protect Texas from committing infidelity. He rides along in the car going to the country, petulantly knocking Famous Singer’s hood off her head.

They get to the country resort, they’re having dinner, and they get called up on-stage to perform a song because they are famous. As they stand up, both Texas and Famous are shot by Famous’ ex-husband, who had secretly followed them there.

Oh shoot, I forgot something. Right before the dinner scene, Optimist is outside the resort and God calls him to heaven. He says no, he has to stay and help Texas.

God says “you only get asked once, if you don’t come now, you wander the earth as a ghost forever, and also your mom really misses you.”

Optimist says no, he has to stay. God’s all, “K, fuck you, walk the Earth as a shattered soul” and the gates to heaven close.

OK, restaurant scene happens. Texas and Famous are shot, cut to hospital. Surgery is happening. Optimist is pacing the waiting room. Pretty is sobbing in Countess’ arms.

Ghost of Texas walks out of surgery and runs into Optimist. “What up, friend”

Texas sees Pretty and is full of regret. He asks where Famous is. Optimist says, “Gone. She didn’t have a soul to begin with.” (HOLY SHIT)

Heavens open up AGAIN. God calls for Optimist. Says “your mother wouldn’t leave me alone until I gave you another chance.” (Thanks, Mom!) Optimist says he’s ready, but asks God to do him a solid and bring Texas back to life, because he’s learned his lesson. God is all “FINE.”

As Optimist starts walking into the night, Pessimist shows up! Optimist is like “wtf where did you come from” and Pessimist says he was in darkness for a long time, but thoughts of Optimist and Moderate melted his heart full of angst and brought him to the light. (!) ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎

Ghost Bros go to Gay Heaven and Texas gets another shot at life.

My first Smart Doll!

Meet Challenge 💜

I discovered Smart Doll during the end of Summer 2020 when we had the first lockdown here in Italy.

For those who don’t know, Smart Dolls are a brand of dolls created in Japan by Danny Choo, the son of the famous shoes designer Jimmy Choo. These dolls are handmade by small teams and everything is designed and assembled in Tokyo.

The “smart” feature of these dolls is that every part is detachable and can be replaced with something else, also these dolls can be assembled from scratch if you buy the single parts. Really amazing! They come in different skin colors (Challenge is in the color Cinnamon) realistic and not, the blue skin ones are quite popular.

Also Danny is trying to create an inclusive and friendly environment for these dolls creating also dolls with Vitiligo, burnt scars skin and aid accessories like asthma inhaler, hearing aids, crutches… and I’ve heard that the company gifts them to people that uses them in real life too when purchasing a doll!

There are a lot of different face molds every one of them with special features, all these dolls are really beautiful and their name reflect a different message that the creators are trying to convey. I immediately fell in love with Challenge, her face was stunning and also the concept behind her creation really resonated with me (here a few sentences from the Smart Doll website)

“…. Each time we avoid change, each time we step away from a challenge, we end up strengthening the default hardwired neural pathways - this is how we end up with a stubborn personality and stuck in a rut - you are not going to get to where you want without taking risks.

Challenge is a symbol and a reminder of why we are wired this way and that we have the ability to re-wire ourselves to take risks, embrace change and never fear failure. A “failure” is just another term for a step to success - without failure, there is no success.

Challenges not only involve change but also a risk of failure - a double whammy enough to keep most humans in their comfort zone….”

Unfortunately she was very expensive and at the time I wasn’t working very much so I couldn’t buy her right away 😩 but later every time I came back to the website she was always sold out so I thought it wasn’t destiny. 😭

But during a totally random day last month I checked one (the only?) of the European dealers for Smart Doll - Anime Sugoi - and there she was! In all her lilac glory 😂 So I decided that I wouldn’t let her go a second time!

And after a week, maybe less, of wait she is finally here in my arms 😍😍 I love her so much it’s really beautiful as I thought she will be, even more ❤️ I cannot wait to have some time do make her a lot of stylish clothes (as I don’t like very much the fit of the ones I made for my other BJDs)

Here she is with two of my other 1/3 Bjds (Morgana on the left and Meera on the right) as you can see it’s really noticeable the difference between the pink tone of Challenge’s vinyl skin and the yellow-ish resin of the other dolls (they have more than 15 years so be kind with them 😂) And you can see also that the shoulders of the shirt are totally out of place and that’s the major thing that throws me off 😡

I will post more and more about her in the next days and I really plan to come back to this blog and give it a new life as it’s been so long since a decent post! 😅

💕 I’ve got you! I promise! 🖤✨ is our official ship name! It’s a reference to the lyric “I’ve got you, I promise” from the song There For You by Troye Sivan.

The song’s very first notes/instrument sounds almost like the little noises that Puppycat makes! AND Space Outlaw is voiced by Steve Blum, the guy who voices Starscream from TFP, so... legally, I was obligated to pick up this F/O. I added him to my romantic list before I even watched his revealing episode. I am totally biased LOL

I chose that lyric specifically because I’ve always loved the concept of a loved one saying “I’ve got you” (I make Starscream say it A LOT lmao) because it’s just such a sweet thing for someone to say, whether it’s romantic or platonic. Puppycat isn’t really open with his emotions, not at first-- but he shows his love in other ways, like gift-giving, taking me somewhere whether it’s a temp-job with pretty scenery, or just a trip to the grocery store, or noticing that I need a distraction from Bad Thoughts so he asks “Hey Keri, can you help me color this picture?” or “What’s your favorite TV show? Do you want to watch it with me?” or “What is something you’re hyperfocused on right now? Tell me about it?”

And I wanna be there for him, too!! We’re really close friends before I discover he’s actually Space Outlaw, and in my universe he finds a way to turn himself back into his person-form for a very short time during a temp job, and we have limited time together on that planet before we need to return back to earth. We’re in dangerous situations and he’s under attack by the Evil Hand Things that keep following him every few episodes, and we promise to keep each other safe. He tells me things he’s always wanted to say, but he couldn’t have the courage in his Puppycat form, like how we’re always going to be there for each other and support each other, no matter how scary things got. And he holds my hand, and says “I’ve got you, I promise” and reminds me that I’m loved. “Bee loves you, people love you, all you gotta do now is love yourself - and I love you, too.” I don’t have the full story figured out yet, but... ahh I love him so much, he really saved me back in September when I was at my lowest. He and Starscream are my two most effective (affective? effective??) comfort characters I had in 2020. ;w;

I have always been a big fan of him and he’s always been my favourite troll to begin with but every time I see him and hear him, my heart always beats so much for him, making it aflutter and words cannot describe how special he is to me...how he means the whole world to me~💞🌈💗🌈💞I mean...can you blame me? >//w//`< How could I resist and say no to such an adorable face to go with such a darling like him??💖😍💖😍💖Cooper is more than just the goofball that we all know and love...he’s my goofball and so much more...the most amazing troll with such talent, a unique voice and a dazzling yet loving royal family to go with him...Cooper is also the prince of my heart, who deserves all the love and happiness in the world...and I feel so blessed to be the one to give it all to him, along with my heart~🥰💝💝🥰 April 24th 2020 was the day I drew Cooper for the very first time, and when I started shipping myself with him. Today...is a very special and important day for me, folks~💝 =UwU= Two years ago, a certain special troll became the highlight of my 2020 during rough times and immediately won my heart from the moment I knew he would have his own destiny and journey to find others like him...and his family. Since the first Trolls movie, I have always admired dearly him from afar and the moment I saw him during the Trolls World Tour trailer, my heart literally poured out him and I have truly loved him for just being his wonderful, lovable self ever since~💘 ;//v//; And that certain special troll, is none other than Cooper~💗✨🌈

I have always been a big fan of him and he’s always been my favourite troll to begin with but every time I see him and hear him, my heart always beats so much for him, making it aflutter and words cannot describe how special he is to me...how he means the whole world to me~💞 🌈 💗 🌈 💞 I mean...can you blame me? >//w//`< How could I resist and say no to such an adorable face to go with such a darling like him?? 💖 💖 💖 Cooper is more than just the goofball that we all know and love...he’s my goofball and so much more...the most amazing troll with such talent, a unique voice and a dazzling yet loving royal family to go with him...Cooper is also the prince of my heart, who deserves all the love and happiness in the world...and I feel so blessed to be the one to give it all to him, along with my heart~😍 💝 💝 😍 April 24th 2020 was the day I drew Cooper for the very first time, and when I started shipping myself with him. And together, him and I have remained strong and inseparable ever since! 💕 n//v//n We’ve had such happy memories together - becoming part of his world and family, sharing one another’s lives and music, even officially marrying and creating our own dear little life together~✨ 💗 💚 💗 And I wish to keep on loving Cooper forevermore~💓 Which is why I dedicate this very special piece above (with a textless version too) to us, inspired by my gorgeous commission of us both humanized with our sweet son, Toby done by the lovely @blooeyedtroll, who I deeply and gratefully thank for helping bring my beloved OTP to life, along with @gloryraiin, @x-elyssa-x, @groovinyeen, @queenabstract, @the-bisexual-small-potato, @angoraram, @nanite-city, @umbrellascribbles, @iamallybee, @happyplaces and many more for all the beautiful commissions and gift art you have given me over the past two years, and for putting all your fantastic work and effort, and heart and soul into every single one which I absolutely love to this very day~💞 🌟 💙 💜 💚 *mega-cuddles* I can’t thank you all and the rest of the Trolls Fandom enough for how amazing and welcoming you’ve all been to me when I first jumped onto the bandwagon, and I am so happy I did too! 💖 =^.^= Thank-you all so much for everything, including all the dear friends I’ve made and all the loving supporters I have gained - bless you all and don’t stop being awesome~! ✌✨💕 And finally, thank-you ever so much for everything, Cooper...my cupcake king and sweet jellybean~💘👑 For always being there for me, making me feel such love and happiness I never could imagine~💝 🌈 😍 I am truly blessed and the luckiest lass alive to such a wonderful darling like you in my life and by my side~💗 😇 U///w///U
