You know, I see a lot of older fans talk about "the 2020 fandom," and I truly think that was an unrepeatable situation. Not ONLY were we all on pandemic brain, but the author of the series had just announced for the first time that there wouldn't be a full book that year. We had all the free time in the world, zero content coming our way, and had just been left on a book where Sophitz broke up and Keefe got put into a coma. How could we NOT have gone absolutely feral? anything was possible

Hey I'd like to hear how the timeline fits so that Mia could face Lana as a prosecutor!

i havent played or produced ace attorney content in years but if theres one thing i will do its hours of research into video game timelines. so

mia's first case as a defense attorney is the terry fawles case in february 2013. She worked as a defense attorney for almost 4 years, until her death in September 2016. Lana was a cop until 2015, when she was transferred to the prosecutor's department following the joe darke murders. the final murder in this incident took place in february 2015, meaning that Lana would have been a prosecutor from then up until her arrest in february 2017. basically, the timeline looks like this:

with blue being Mia's time as an attorney, red being Lana's time as a prosecutor, and purple being where they overlap. there's an overlap of a little over a year and a half, which is ample time for at least one game together. (for context, the first phoenix game takes place over the span of around 6 months, from july 2016 to february 2017, including rfta!) alternatively, i think a series of games where Lana is initially a detective role (a la gumshoe) and then appears in a sequel game as a rival prosecutor could also be really cool!

#mia wouldn't be a rookie attorney in a mia/lana game tho bc she'd have to have at least 2 years of experience already. #so she'd be closer to game 2-3 phoenix in terms of experience! which obv still works bc they did it with phoenix. lmao #anyway my point is. the timelines do in fact line up. 2020 me was correct about that #asks

Currently modding SDV and let me tell you... I am struggling due to trying to decide if I should make the town medieval-like, or keep it normal. ;3; And I'm tempted to keep it normal cause I know the train station will be medieval and weird. So I'm forcing myself to keep the town modern so when the Ingo and Emmet mod comes out, they won't be confused lmao.

Oh you're making a mod too?? I wish you the best of luck!! It's so hard making assets and trying to get it to fit with the whole old worn down look of Stardew Valley... I think they'll appreciate a more modern town!

The design for the rebuilt train station was a struggle to finalize because of how we had to balance the simple Stardew Valley aesthetic and the "city slickers working their asses off to make something impressive and worth visiting a town in the middle of nowhere with nothing for" look... All while keeping the original map properties intact (the station isn't symmetrical...... we were doomed from the beginning)
