sometimes i think back to this one fanfiction with a bunch of mcyt people set in a post apocalyptic setting after a plague or something like that (?)

it was written i believe in early 2020 and i followed it for a while as i thought the plot was decently interesting until it started happening in real life

and i think the last chapter was a clarification by the author that due to certain events, namely the global pandemic, they no longer felt comfortable updating it

and looking back at it almost 4 years later i do sometimes wish i could find it again but the problem is that i only really read it for one guy (rt) who was a very minor character in the overall fic and therefore i have no idea who any of the other characters in it were

but i remember i was still able to find it in 2022? and it was like one of the few things i remember from that time period that i can accurately attribute to that time period

i remember it stood out because the rt character tag was pretty small to start with so i read through probably everything that was posted in the characrer tag, and the plot was actually interesting despite me knowing none of the other characters except for a vague idea that wilbur soot existed through like 2 videos on rt's channel and one soothouse video where rt was featured

i think this fic also may have predated dream, and probably had smp live or smp earth people

not sure where i'm going with this. anyway it's amazing how the internet is so permanent and yet so temporal at the same time, it's easy for something to be remembered but it's just as easy for it to get lost in the slipstream of time
