aaron burr pt. 1

hey y’all.... how y’all doing.......

so ive been gone for a while. sorry about that. but! i have a lot of posts to work on. i only have three more historical figures to do for @thereallvrb0y because i love him, and then imma post my notes from A People’s History of the French Revolution by Eric Hazan, so i am back. anyway, it’s burr time

but before i get into everyone’s favorite bisexual with a receding hairline, i have to give a little disclaimer. these notes are OLD. like from 2020 old, and while I always trust my sources, i don’t trust my ability to read my own handwriting, so if you go on the google doc and see Burr’s notes and you’re like “this makes no sense”, i don’t understand what i meant either. they’re also the most disorganized notes i have, but im not taking them again so. this is what we’re stuck with besties.

The Start of the Shitshow

Aaron Burr Jr. was born at Newark, New Jersey on February 6, 1756. His father was a highly respected clerical scholar who served as a pastor of the Newark First Presbyterian Church and as president of Princeton University. He contracted a fever and died when his son was only one and a half. His mother was a daughter of noted Puritan theologian and scholar Jonathan Edwards, who was remembered for his passionate speeches. She died when he was two, so he got the whole orphan arc over with very quickly.

He and his sister, Sally, lived with family friends until 1759 when Uncle Timmy Edwards of Stockbridge Massachusetts became their legal guardian and local pain in the ass. He was highkey abusive and we don’t like him. They moved to Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1760, and Uncle Fuckface noticed that Burr had inherited his parents’ intellect, but not their piety, because he was too busy serving cunt to pray. He was also described as high-spirited, independent, precocious, and self confident, which sounds about right.

He had a fairly advanced education, studying with a private tutor until he was 13 when he got into Princeton, and he graduated from there at 16, which was round the age of most freshmen there, so that’s pretty sick. He enrolled in Reverend Joseph Bellamy’s school at Bethlehem, Connecticut in 1773 to study ministry, until he realized he couldn’t accept the Calvanist discipline nor avoid the distraction of the town, or maybe just got tired of the highly not okay gay relationship with Bellamy, so he moved to Litchfield, Connecticut in May 1774 to study law under his brother-in-law, Tapping Reeve. (Burr moves around so much, I never know where this mf is at any given point). \

Burr didn’t get his degree in law (yet *foreshadowing noise*) because his studies were interrupted by the revolution

The War *eagle screech and fireworks*

Burr joined the march on Quebec as an uncompensated “gentleman volunteer” in 1775. During the December 31 assault, he attempted to carry General Montgomery’s body back after he had been shot and killed by grapeshot, which won him an aide-de-campship to Washington’s staff. However, he was almost immediately reassigned to General Isreal Putnam because he didn’t like Washington’s office, which I can’t blame him because we all knew that shit was stressful. Washington also didn’t seem to like Burr much, but like Joseph Reed worked there, so Washington obviously wasn’t firing people bc he didn’t like them.

Under Putnam, he received a commission as a Lieutenant Colonel and commanded his own regiment, which was a vast improvement to the rank as one of Washington’s aides, because they weren’t considered actual Lt. Colonels and they were constantly at a desk, which Burr would not tolerate. He saw action at Monmouth, and his regiment suffered heavy casualties, and he was also ordered by Washington to determine future movements of the British in New York. He commanded troops at Westchester, NY, and imposed rigid discipline that brought order to the frontier outpost.

He resigned his commission in 1779 due to stress and exhaustion. This was a pretty great military career, and he was proud of it. People called him “Colonel Burr” even after his service.

After the war

He traveled often after leaving the army and continued his law studies. In 1782, he began his law practice and married Theodosia Bartow Prevost, a widow of a British officer he had been hardcore flirting with. Their wedding was actually unplanned, bc her sister was getting married and Burr was invited so they were like “why have two bitches get married when you can have four” so they had a cute little double wedding.

Burr moved to New York in November, 1783 after the British evacuation, along with Burr’s two stepsons and their infant daughter, who lavished special attention on his only child and supervised her education. If you want more info on Theodosia Jr., I answered an ask about here here.

Burr was an able lawyer, working mainly for non-whigs (loyalists/tories, neutral parties during the war). This worked in his favor and he rose to prominence. This is around when he began his famously neutral political philosophy, the whole “don’t let them know what you’re against or what you’re for” thing Lin Manuel Miranda is obsessed with.

He served a single term in the New York assembly during the 1784-85 session, and left public life until 1788, when he played a minor role in the NY debate over ratification of the Constitution. The Sons of Liberty (bc they’re still around apparently) considered Burr as a possible delegate to the ratification convention, but he declined. He had some reservations over the Constitution, but abandoned them when a majority of the states ratified it.

He supported Richard Yates along with Alexander Hamilton during the 1789 gubernatorial election. Yates was an anti-federalist and a friend who helped Burr win admission to the Bar (which btw there was this whole thing about Burr fighting so that college credits before the war didn’t have to be retaken after the war or whatever idk i can’t remember). Yates lost to George Clinton, who appointed Burr as attorney general in 1781, so he didn’t really lose anything.

Clinton also helped orchestrate Burr’s Senate election in 1791, unseating Philip Schuyler. Now, this did cause beef between him and Hamilton, like in the musical, but this wasn’t their first beef, especially since Burr dueled Hamilton’s brother-in-law soooooooo...

Also, during this time, Burr’s daughter, Sally, died in October 1788 at three years old and four months of an unspecified (i think) illness.

that girl Daisey thats “messaged” Aries about how she knows 7 girls personally who have stories about him (ohh yeah where they at daisey??) and how she used to the that minor that Percy groomed and she knows that her ex gf would get anxious when Percy would text her and bla bla bla. And how she knew he was known to be a sexual predator, there was a list in 2020 with his name on it, and thats why she stayed away from him. Well in 2020 this Daisey girl was tweeting funny responses and heart eye emojis at his impercenator account, the one he deleted…. Some sexual predator she was scared off ehh? Of course since being called out, daisey has deleted those replies to percy! Tani has a thread on this on twitter.

So these people knew. They knew that was his account so they used it agaisnt him. Thats why everything leaked so fast. You think Shep had the time in just a couple of hours to go and find all that amount of digital footprint? Nahh they knew before. And they had all of that since before because im telling you this was planned by a group of people.

and since a lot of these girls have gone quiet and so has Shep, im starting to think Shep is one of them or a friend of theirs.

but anyways, my conclusion : account was his. And he did like some weird things on there but a lot of them was from when he has in his toxic teenage phase. And a lot of it was stupid edgy humour. Remember the James Gunn tweets fiasco? Same energy, but a little less intense imo.

so yeah I gotta be fair and im certain that was him!

I understand that you are certain on this, but I am still of the opinion that all the evidence you just shared is not evidence enough for me to be certain it was him. It's all muddled up, and honestly... who the hell is Daisey? For all we know, Miss Shitshow made her up and it was herself tweeting something to the account. It still is nothing we can verify, so I am sticking to my initial stand on this, that unless either police forensics or Percy himself admits it's his, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

It's honestly not something that I think about, or that I think that should be taken in consideration, because it's too muddled up. And comparing his tweets to James Gunn tweets fiasco is a bit strong to my taste. But that's me.

Your opinion is yours, I just don't share it. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything regarding this, I just think that we all saw how easily evidence was fabricated and twisted around.

Hey, i have been a prt of the devil's night fandom for years now but 1 thing I always wanted to say is that i feel really really bad for everyone who read NIGHTFALL in 2020 when ot was released.

Because they all waited for more than 6 months since killswitch was released, some of them desperately waited for 5 years since corrupt. Everytime PD released an excerpt from NIGHTFALL they all used to fawn over it. Most of them used to even count months,weeks and days for its arrival.

But since it arrived all of them said that it was shit, and they were heartbroken because PD said this book was of willemmy but there was no willemmy. Even when i read this book for the first time i kept on asking where are willemmy because everything thing was alex and aydin. They waited for willemmy but ended up paying and reading alexaydin no ine wants them. I don't know how many dont see it but PD wrote the entire and every present chapters for alexaydin and not for willemmy.

4. Why is alex here

5. Alex being jealous of emmy

6. Will looking after for alex and leaving em alone amonst rapist like taylor but sure he loves em right?

I know PD HATES WILLEMMY everyone knows that also kaibanks but atleast kaibanks had moments when they were alone and spent time together but not WILLEMMY.

Never WILLEMMY. Most of people who read NIGHTFALL in 2020 said they survived it because it was that crap and it is true.

Nightfall was shitshow after shitshow.

Don't even get me started on that shit show of train and how pd ruined will's, kai's characters.

There is even a saying i don't know alot of you know that "Only thise who read the book (nightfall) right, knows how much of a nasty bitch was Alex.

And i agree she was way out if line and wrong and jealous.

If PD wanted to write Alexaydin so much write a novella for them, why ruin willemmy?? People waited YEARS for them and ended up reading about a different couple.

PD has a Facebook group for all this, i think we all know it by know, where they post all this. And people called them out on it.

Even in firenight willemmy had no time alone but guess who did everyone. Pd can say it they hate willemmy we already know that.

Once PD mentioned that Banks and Emory were their most favorite characters, i swear EVERYONE laughed EVERYONE 🤣. Yeah sure 2 characters that faced most hard life, and whise entire book was given to other irrelevant girl. Who is the most bland. And scream "i am not like other girls" energy.

Seriously alex palmer wakes up, lookes herself in the mirror and says " i am not like other girl's" almost 40 times a day.

I have way too many things to add mostly about alex and rika maybe damon too but this ask has already been too long. Maybe next time.

Aww, I remember when I used to do that. I used to create little count down trackers and timers, little banners and such. Cute.

And I’ve also been burned after having waited years for a release only to want to throw it out the window. But 6 months between books that size? Amazing, but somehow… I can’t help but think that a little bit more time would have been helpful.

Not just plot-wise either. I don’t know about you guys, but there are a few errors in my copy on NF that always trip me up.

They waited for willemmy but ended up paying and reading alexaydin no ine wants them. I don't know how many dont see it but PD wrote the entire and every present chapters for alexaydin and not for willemmy.

I’m not sure how that happened either. But it’s interesting that CR was originally a standalone, however that’s when we get the first inklings of AlexAydin and Willemmy. It’s possible that PD already had most of the story for AlexAydin mapped out in their head before even considering what the final part of Willemmy’s story was going to be, since they never intended to write it at the start. And then as the series progressed, the hype around Alex grew unexpectedly, so it became the story they wanted to tell and they ended up shoehorning it into Will’s story.

This is why Emory needed a strong attachment to the town and more of a presence in the other books. She didn’t need to be there physically, but we should have gotten more about her as the series progressed.

Most of people who read NIGHTFALL in 2020 said they survived it because it was that crap and it is true.

I kinda laughed. They need badges that read “I survived Nightfall 2020” so everyone knows the trauma they carry.

If PD wanted to write Alexaydin so much write a novella for them

A novella could have helped, but I don’t think it would have removed anything that happened in NF. The only thing it would have done would be alleviate some pressure to conclude their story along side concluding the series and Willemmy’s story, because alexaydin’s conclusion could have been left open ended and resolved in the novella.

At least, that’s how I see it. NF still would have had Aydin there to torment Will and Alex showing up half way through. So not much would have changed in the bulk of the story.

Even in firenight willemmy had no time alone

Don’t even get me started on firenight. I have nothing (good) to say.

Yeah, why would the average reader sympathize with the two girls who experienced trauma at the hands of a parental figure and lived around those who were considerably better off than them, verses the two beautiful blondes with wealth and privilege? That’s so weird….

I have way too many things to add mostly about alex and rika maybe damon too but this ask has already been too long. Maybe next time.

happy new year you guys! i hope 2023 will be a little better for us because damn 2022 was a ride-

but i have to admit, i never expected to grow or make as many friends as i did when i started this blog and the amount of love and support ( from every like, comment and reblog ) i received means so much to me! i could go on a rant talking about how amazing some of you are, even when i went on my stupidly long pauses where content was near negligible.

i won't be wrong, 2020 to 2022 was...kind of a shitshow on my end and on a lot of other people as well, both online and offline. writing was an escape for me ( even on days when i just wanted to procrastinate ). first it was demon slayer, then it was genshin, and to say these two fandoms, no matter how imperfect they are, really do mean a lot to me.

( an added bonus is that most of the people i interacted with on these fandoms are the most laid back and the sweetest peeps i've ever had the pleasure of getting to know. )

but hey...once again, happy new year! i hope 2023 will be a good one for all of you. you deserve it!.

It's not a drama ;c it's vindication time after years of waiting ;c

So over the past couple of weeks there were signs that bulianne (Benny and Jules H.) are back on track. Turns out it was true, more or less.

Peeps find out that they are back via trashy mag dropping the new HOOOT couple news. Since Jules is not the first choice anyone would have, especially Benny in his cultured ways, everyone is upset. Everyone lets boy know that they are upset but since Benny is not the sharpest tool in the shed he did what he always does when fans remember bulianne are long time besties - he blocks, deletes, deflects and waits for it to go away so he can go back to his live laugh love ways.

BUT he had the idea to block anyone, and that anyone from what I gathered was the owner of his fan account. It went downhill from there. Peeps got upset even more, wanted accountability when realized Benny was fucking them sideways for forever.

And one thin leads to another and his other (as I call them) misstepies came back too, beside his association with the California barbie it is. I made this post here and I think it explain everything a tad bit better.

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

Okay so there’s been an idea for another (yes.) Cricks fic that has been rattling around my brain-pan since around like the fifth month of March 2020. I have a title and premise all thought up but literally one (1) scene. Anyways that scene is p much Cricket getting off to Dennis being passed out after too much (crack? heroin? whateverthefuck?) and basically Cricks jerking off in his face. BECAUSE for some reason the facial was always a staple with my Cricket fics. Shruggers. Anyways the whole fic that may or may not (probably not) happen was gonna be around 5-10 chapters (yes.) and there’s a running theme which I shan’t spoil in case the stars align and I decide to write it. Which I probably won’t.

But I might.

One day.

Does the world even need more Cricket fics? :)

4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)

This part from Shakin’ Off the Rust:

The mail doesn’t stop, and neither do the insects buzzing around his mind as Charlie explains this entire shitshow to Mac. Mac isn’t getting it, and he doesn’t see Barney, either. Goddammit, it had all sounded so plausible before. Maybe he does sound like a Charlie Brown teacher, after all. Was he named after Charlie fucking Brown? When he popped out, happy as a clam, did he make goofy mute trombone sounds instead of crying like a normal baby? Shit. He takes a drag of his cigarette and stills, the upbeat bassline of Day Bow Bow penetrating his thoughts for reasons known only to the brain hornets.

“You’ve lost your mind. You’ve lost your goddamn mind, Charlie.”

So it’s like, this fic was never supposed to happen. A few factors came into play here: 1) The podcast reigniting my love for the show and these talented assholes. 2) A rewatch of Sunny I’m having at work lately with the Sunday locum between the endless swathes of belligerent patients. We got to Pepe and a little bell chimed in my head and I was like... “I could work with this, but will I?” 3) The Writing Itch. Y’all know it. 4) Brain hornets.

ANYWAY it started writing pretty much autonomously which is my favourite way for these things to happen, and this was the paragraph that took it away from Charlie’s manic intro monologue and into the actual canon Pepe Silvia scene. It felt nice to tie it in. :)

7. What do you think are the characteristics of your personal writing style? Would others agree?

I mean copious profanity and blasphemy aside, I’d like to think that my attempts to give the narration a voice that rings true to the main character of the story work for the reader. It gives each story its own tone and different headspaces are so much fun to explore for me.

8. Is what you like to write the same as what you like to read?

Undoubtedly. My perpetual boner for hate sex will never subside. :) (That said Pepe was soft as holy fuck but hey I’ve been away for three years.) I haven’t read much at all throughout the pandemic but a few things have crossed my path, such as this incredible Saw fic right here, and this exquisite The Boys fic. Sometimes I seek shit out and hit the jackpot right away.

16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)

Literally just writing a fic lol. And I guess in a way it was kinda fluffy (for me), which hasn’t happened since Time to Pretend and even then that was prefaced with an extremely dubcon gangbang sooooooo yeah. Where was I going with this?

17. Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?

I actually have a pretty low sex drive. I have phases where I’m horny for days but mostly I’m just lagom, as mom would call it. That said, I mostly only read explicit fic so therefore I write it too. It’s just such a satisfying payoff. Especially when you write a shittonne of exposition just to facilitate some porn. *Looking at you, Birby.* Also, I haven’t the vaguest clue about the mechanics and conventions of writing. I just put shit together and hope it works.

20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

Oh oh OH! I’m gonna link the lame reference doc of lame. It is perpetually expanding because there’s nothing I enjoy more than referencing shit in fics. NOTHING. As for callbacks, the entire Cricket Chronicles was loosely woven together by a thread of facials and reciprocated fellatio. Like secret santa with dicks. (I’ve used those descriptions before but fuck it it’s been forever.)

/edit ALSO! Shakin’ Off the Rust itself is a meta title because 1) I’ve just discovered The Blue Stones (click me I’m awesome), and 2) because I was literally shaking off the rust of not writing for three years and 3) because Mac and Charlie were shaking off their own rust at not manhandling each others’ genitalia for however long it’s been. META.

25. What part of writing is the most fun?

I like working inside heads that aren’t quite functioning on the right level. It’s why Pepe wrote so easily and why I have such a fun time with characters like Charlie, Cricket and Cassidy. It’s cathartic to me for so many reasons. Also, any occasion where I can stick a real-life drug anecdote in makes me very happy. And who doesn’t enjoy serotonin?

i’ve successfully got to the end of my first week back at work on half days and it’s been...a real challenge tbh. I am getting sharper though, my memory, cognition, and processing is still impaired but not as much as it was a couple of weeks ago. My main issues have been loss of appetite/nausea and fatigue, esp after tasks that have a high cognitive load (eg everything at work lmao and also...driving. fucking driving. can’t do more than 15 minutes and THAT is a push. i’m still not allowed to ride my bike either) and honestly i take my hat off to anyone who deals with these types of symptoms on a long-term/ chronic basis. It’s a lot, and it’s really really humbled me tbh. i really want to be able to write again, for some reason my mental IMAGERY has gotten extremely vivid and detailed after the accident but my mental vocabulary has taken a literal hit. writing is so hard. i write one sentence and forget what i’ve even written, i have great difficulty finding words, i cannot put into words what i ‘see’ in my imagination. i am trying because i love writing so much and it’s so important to me and my wellbeing but it’s such a slow and strenuous process atm. i am messing around with stuff in my docs when i feel like i can but it’s...very VERY slow. so to anyone who is waiting for replies, they will come eventually, i just have to go at my own pace. as i recover more it will get easier. it HAS TO get easier. thank you all so much for your patience and support, i am around, i might be quiet and flakey and mostly focussed on drawing (which for some reason is coming easier than it used to? brain wtf) but i am around and i ain’t going anywhere.

Well Megan, I’m glad you asked. 😆 And since you asked so very nicely, I am happy to stick my neck out for the Haylors and Kaylors to chop off in pursuit of what I believe is the ultimate glory: Swiftgron.

And while we’re here, I petition for a new ship name. I’m going for “Tayanna”.

So my full belief is that “evermore” opens with a song about Dianna: Willow.

And what’s masterful about Taylor (and always has been actually) is that she extends her metaphors across relationship lines. Many people (and by people I mean Gaylors/Kaylors) think that her numerous oceanic references are to Karlie and I don’t disagree necessarily! We obviously know Ms. Kloss (or as I like to call her, Mrs. Kushner), has some intense ocean eyes -sing the Billie Eilish song with me- and there’s, of course, the references to Big Sur (Gold Rush is about Karlie Kloss obviously, I almost died when I heard the lyric “walk past, quick brush, I don’t like slow motion, double vision in rose blush” and thought of the 2014 VS fashion show when they were both in blush pink).

That SAID. “Willows” are known as the trees of witches because they love water the most and combine elements of earth, air, and water — the lover of Willow is the ship, the disrupter which REALLY caught me when I look at the timeline of Dianna divorcing her husband and when trouble was first spotted on the Kaylor horizon (they dovetail nicely, Kaylor trouble starts right around 2018ish, 2019 is a shitshow and when it comes out in 2020 that Dianna has divorced Winston, it’s also revealed that they’ve been living apart for almost a year).

This actually segues into my next point: Ivy. The gayest Swift song to ever Gaylor. Which is saying something because evermore is glaringly gay.

Ivy is the tree of resurrection and wine (“drink my husbands wine”, “lost in your current like a priceless wine”). Now, some would say that this correlates to Karlie and Josh, but I disagree. There’s nothing to “resurrect” here and Taylor is positioning herself as the Willow so who is her Ivy? The resurrection references contained within ivy’s lore are historically male, but what I find interesting is that Dianna has spoken on record before about feeling more masculine.

I thoroughly believe there are plenty of songs about Karlie on evermore, Champagne Problems, Gold Rush, Happiness. I think Hoax off of Folklore was about her.

I think there are several motifs I see Taylor play with that point to Dianna: 1. Her obvious pre-established connections to mythology (“as if you were a mythical thing”). Also some more subtle references like “now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon” referencing a fellow world wonder to Artemis’ temple. (Cowboy Like Me is about Dianna, hands down. It was the first song where I went. Hey wait a minute LOL).

There is a mini-motif I noticed about magic and sleight of hand that I was curious about, and then I remembered that Dianna (in 2020) was part of a short called “Abracashoes” for Roger Vivier. That’s a reach and I know it but I’m used to reaching, thoroughly warmed up by being a Larrie.

Okay while I’m rambling LETS TALK ABOUT IVY. Admittedly, I am not familiar with Dianna’s ex-husband, but when I first started down this road, I remember thinking, LOL Wouldn’t it be wild if that dude was like a banjo player in Mumford AND WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW?! The first instrument you HEAR in Ivy is the banjo. “Taking mine, but it’s been promised to another” actually dovetails to “illicit affairs” to me. “So yeah, it’s a fire, it’s a goddamn blaze in the dark and you started it”. I think, post Kaylor breakup and in the weeds with Toe (sorry I don’t usually use beard names because I find them hokey but that’s the best one ever), Dianna reached out to Taylor as her marriage was crumbling. And it is NOT lost on me that Cowboy Like Me immediately follows Ivy.

“You asked me to dance and I said dancing’s a dangerous game”— Dangerous for how, TayTay?

Interestingly the lyric “now I’m waiting by the phone like I’m sitting in an airport bar” reminds me a LOT of the song “Come Back… Be Here” which was on Red and we were all supposed to believe was about Harry or Jake but was about Dianna. “The skeletons in both our closets plotted hard to fuck this up” is just about Dianna and their mutual closets, I can’t be convinced otherwise. (It was also during this song that I noticed another mini-motif about stars, and obviously we all know Dianna’s/Artemis’ constellation is THE ARCHER, Sagittarius).

The other motif I notice frequently in folklore and evermore is waiting— sitting and waiting. Waiting is an interesting motif in regard to Dianna for obvious reasons; they were together, they broke up, they’re back together, etc. But what’s also interesting to me about the waiting motif is Dianna’s movie, Shiva Baby, which was released in 2020. I would hope most of know what sitting shiva is and Dianna was in a whole ass movie about it in which she played the wife of the protagonists sugar daddy. 🙃

So anyway, with the rerelease of Red I’m just going to be sitting in my Swiftgron feels forever. Oh also!! In both the folklore and evermore album covers I would like to point out that she is both in the forest and poignantly facing toward the forest. Artemis is the goddess of trees.

Okay anyway Taylor is taking Dianna for round two and I’m right. Okbyeeeee.

kinda wanna share my experience with walls hehe. i was a pretty casual fan until last year i knew 1d and their albums and tours and larries and stuff even though i never really cared enough to look because i wasn't exactly a stan or whatever. i absolutely adored Louis' voice since the band and the duration of delay of his album was very disappointing because that was one album i was very much looking forward to.

by then all 4 of them had albums out but I hadn't heard most of it, only singles. so right before walls in like early April 2020 at the beginning of lockdown, i listened to Harry's entire discography without knowing about Camille or any stunt and then Louis'.

It just felt like i was intruding on a private conversation. They were too obvious with it it's a dialogue back and forth between the two of them and within minutes i was convinced there definitely is something other than what is being portrayed in the media. it's insanely easy to link it to each other they're very obvious talking about the same relationship how are people still in denial

You know, for me it's kinda the same, as in I read into their lyrics over anything else, because I came in here late too with their solo music already just on the table lol, and you know it totally fits what a lot of larries have been saying long before these albums came out. I feel like their lyrics are the only place they let that wall down, where yes there might be a bit of ~misdirection~ in there but in general I think they are honest, this is their work, this is what it's all about, what they're doing all of this for, the thing that makes it 'worth it' to drag themselves through this shitshow for, so that's where their hearts are. And there you find them. Them together. Not just the we're in a relationship part, but a lot of Harry's lyrics seem to be about his own personal struggles loads, like a lot of his lyrics are me me me (not in a bad way), and then there's Louis' lyrics, where he's over and over again going, hey you yeah you I know you're struggling but I love you dearly please know you're amazing and I'm like dis one here dis one is describing what that one what one there is going through from a partner's perspective goddddddd it's so obvious people aaaaaahh LOOK AT IT

Hey, I hope you are doing good this was a thing that was wondering me so there are lot of bts future spouse /soulmate/twinflame videos being made on youtube and honestly everyone is being psychic like it has become a shitshow and what was previously just for curiosity fun and entertainment are becoming extremely emotionally invested in the topic especially for maknae line soulmate it would be interesting if the can do a tarot reading or your spiritual experience why is the future spouse saga turning ugly and does universe what us to know something through it !? Because it's becoming pretty crazy right now

Okay so I believe that yes, the spiritual part has a lot to do behind this occurrence, but I also think its roots lay on psicosocial matters and honestly I could go on for days about this but I’ll try to restrict it to a few points that you’ve mentioned

Why all of a sudden everyone seems to be tarot readers/astrologers/psychic?

The capitalism behind celebrities and how does that play a part in what is going on?

Are these people accurate at all?

How does energy shifting play a part in this?

Is the soulmate journey even something a third person would be able to note?

But first a Disclaimer: this opinion/rant is based on my experience with spirituality, I am obviously a mere mortal, so I do not hold the absolute truth. Spirituality is a constant learning process and it is open to discussion and interpretation of each person. I am also now a proud sociologist graduate that specialises in a lot of the stuff that has to do with what anon is asking, I’m a social behaviouralist applied to the entertainment industry as well but I’ll also provide my resources in the end.

A/N: Some of you might not yet be ready to read all of this, if I see ANY of you trying to start beef with me, even after the disclaimer, I'm gonna block you. If you want to talk more about it or want to discuss it further, DO SO OFF ANON. ISTG you’ve been warned, I’ve been working on this for the longest time, it even has resources to back all of it up! I’m so glad anon asked, I’m done being diplomatic on this topic (I know people that usually ask stuff are so respectful and i love you guys for it, this note is for those people that regularly jump on my asks to stir things up)

You guys are in for a whole academic article if you decide to read this

SO FUN AND EXCITINGGGG Let us start with behavioural economics as our base to understand the whole phenomenon, it's such a broad and kinda complex concept (especially since I’m trying to extrapolate it to this particular scenario) so let me do my best. It has a lot to do with trend following, although at least to me, it's unclear how exactly this content came to be (soulmate readings, channeling messages, etc) I am guessing it had something to do with an intersectionality between the general spirituality boom that we’ve met with during the pandemic and some person that just as any other marketable opportunity, saw a bridge between fandom life and this spiritual life (both prominent trends in the last two years or so) and honestly, it worked perfectly, whatever their initial intentions were, they threw out a new “product” and it kind of sold itself, two different trends coming together… turned into a behavioural game theory where if you played the part that allows your content to be consumed, you’ll get rewarded for it. In more simple words, tarot meets fandoms (alternatively, tarot meets BTS) is great as it is! but the fan behaviour (which we’ll talk about in a bit) positions the most private parts of the celebrities’ lives to be much more interesting than things that we are already able to see (personal experience, love readings do so much better than idk career readings and it all comes down to behavioural trends of perceiving ‘love’ as something very intimate)

Now, this is where we’ll begin to talk about capitalism as a whole, even in non-monetary systems like social media, where it takes more of a rewarding system via likes, views, reblogs, etc. The whole principle of us living in such a system is being aspirational, we see others profiting off of something, we might want to reach out and do the same so we can profit ourselves, which honestly, I think is what happened with the whole BTS soulmate readings boom, they get a lot of attention, and as a basic market law, as demand goes up and a few people that initially did these readings are no longer capable to satisfy the need of the people wanting to know all the tea, there are market opportunities for other people to do the same thing and increase the offer, although since this whole theory is behavioural, it is very context-dependant, which ends up not following the principle of the consumers being rational about how much and what content they consume, they just sort of consume all of it, regardless of whether the content creator is qualified to offer such content or not, which ultimately only adds onto a never ending cycle of more people claiming they are tarot readers/astrologers/psychics and fear nothing because this is the internet, you don't really have to enter any qualifications to be able to create content, whether someone is reliable in internet terms is basically all about how many likes they’ve got (which is why I always tell you guys to please consume content responsible).

When it comes to accuracy- I guess that’s the hardest part of all, we can’t just have pointers that would automatically tells us if someone’s craft is valid or not, since everyone’s craft is different all craft is valid to a certain extent (you can easily find scammers of course but that’s another story) what we can have are personal standards and deciding what content to consume or whose content to consume, but that’s entirely a personal decision and since so many people are invested in it- it seems really hard that these “market tendencies” might change any time soon. On that same note of accuracy, I really feel the need to talk about a major occurrence I’ve come across in this whole soulmate scene, minors. Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a minor and approaching spirituality (I was very much a minor when I started) but there’s a huge difference between just playing around and deciding to create content for the whole world to have access to. Of course I’m aware not all tarot readers in the BTS fandom are minors, and ARMY is very diverse and even if they were only minors it would be wrong to invalidate them, but we can’t ignore the statistics of it when touching this particular topic, according to 2020 data, 50,31% of ARMY are below 18 years old, and 42,59% are between 18-29 but why is this important? because the exact historical and economic moment we are living in mainly impacts these two age groups, thus making all 92,90% of ARMY a potential target to consuming or falling in a behavioural game theory of creating this content without them necessarily being qualified for it. But hey, why do you keep talking about the importance of being qualified? Glad you asked, creating spiritual content all comes down to one amazing term: accountability.

And this will explore two main phases of it, one applicable for that 50,31% that could potentially be drawn to create spiritual content and other for the 42,59% that could potentially be dragged to creating that content without much spiritual knowledge. For the first one, it has a lot to do with cognitive aspects, young people tend to do stuff without much further thought about how their actions impact other people, which, as they should, they are kids, they shouldn’t have to worry too much about emotional responsibility as us adults do, furthermore, they are in life stages where they can’t really comprehend many abstract concepts that we later learn in life, and spirituality is one of those concepts, so they tend to just have fun with it with no regards on how their content might impact other minors (this is where the whole feeding a false scenario that is potentially delusional in exchange of more views, likes comes into play) on a more spiritual level, they also aren’t able to comprehend the boundaries of the celebrities they’re reading for, us readers have to always be careful about the information we give out since it is not ours to give. As for the second group, some of this is still applicable since theorists consider a full cognitive maturity until 23 years of age, but since it is very intersectional itself, i would found it more to a spiritual responsibility, since they are young adults, and if they haven’t been spiritually guided as kids, they’re most probably eager to learn and just awakening yet to some of them the drive to this spirituality is content creation instead of inner work, so they get their hands on a tarot deck, might kind of read a few things, call it a day and start reading for BTS (note: not all of them, I’m aware)

As for the maknae line being the most sought out people with this content, I guess it kinda makes sense now that I’ve said all of the information above, maknae line is closest to the age group of 92,90% of ARMY, so they instantly become more marketable to this content creation and the whole Game Theory that we are seeing. With all that being said, and just adding a note coming from my own spiritual experience, soulmates in any form are a difficult topic for a third person to prode, which is why I, personally, tend to not touch that topic, love is one hell of a concept, especially since we all have different conceptions of love and interpersonal relationships. I do know for a fact that there’s only so far we can go in terms of fated connections, like with astrology, but even then, we would have to know their birth times exactly (so we can check for any indicator or a soulmate connection), and/or compare BTS with the rest of the world’s population in order to accurately tell if someone has a soulmate synastry/overlay/composite with them. Also, soulmate journeys are intimate and we are all just fans, what right do we even have to look for things that do not and will never belong to us?
