Double vision
Partners on and off the pitch, Bayern pair Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson have firm convictions on all the big topics facing women’s football in an era of exciting growth and mounting pressures
In a room at Bayern München’s training ground, Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder are talking bicycles. One of their favourite things about Munich, the place they have both called home since making the switch last summer from Chelsea to Bayern, is the ease of travel for cyclists in the Bavarian capital.
Eriksson: “Now we live quite centrally so we can use our bikes to get anywhere.”
Harder: “It is a bit easier to bike here in Munich than in London.”
Magda: “We even took our bikes to Oktoberfest once.”
Pernille (laughs): “We were biking straight!”
This is the beauty of an interview with the pair (even one conducted over Zoom, as this one is): you raise a subject and they bounce it around between them, their insights and reflections interspersed with lighter moments and laughter. And, as arguably their sport’s highest-profile couple – Harder is a two-time UEFA Women’s Player of the Year, Eriksson a Sweden stalwart – they have plenty to say.
Both care deeply about matters on and off the football pitch. They are members of UEFA’s Football Board (of which more later), they support the Common Goal project – pledging one per cent of their salaries to support football charities – and on top of that they are advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.
But, first, back to finding their feet in Munich, where the duo bring serious know-how to a Bayern side with big ambitions, despite an early exit from the Champions League in January. In Harder’s case, the Denmark forward knew German football already from her three years with Wolfsburg between 2017 and 2020. For Eriksson, after six seasons in England with Chelsea, this is an entirely new experience – which is exactly what she was hoping for.
“I think that’s how we are as people,” says the former Blues captain. “A reason why we moved is I am really curious about a new culture and a new environment.” From the sounds of things, that decision is paying off too. Away from the pitch, she is enamoured of the local coffee shops; on it, she has been impressed by the way “a lot of the girls take responsibility around the dressing room and with how things should work around the team. There’s quite a clear structure of different responsibilities, and the players take ownership of that. That’s something more like how it was in Sweden, and not at all in England. It makes us take responsibility and it’s something I appreciate.”
As for Harder, she elaborates on the unique culture of Germany’s biggest football club – one which attempts to marry sustained success with humility. “It really is a club where you have to work hard, be humble but also know your worth,” she says. “It’s a bit weird. There is no arrogance: we know we’re good, we know we are a big club, but we know we also have to work hard. There’s a lot of respect for each other, and it’s not only in our team. When we go to the campus and meet the academy boys or some of the other staff, you have the respect. You treat others the way you want to be treated, and that’s a really good value which aligns with my values.”
Now both in their thirties – Eriksson is 30, Harder 31 – they knew the women’s game before its lift-off moments of recent years. Thus, they bring a helpful sense of perspective to any discussion of its development, and how it might evolve in years to come.
If female footballers today have opportunities beyond the dreams of previous generations, they face pressures unknown by their predecessors too, as Eriksson explains. “I think there are two sides to every story. Maybe, when we grew up, there wasn’t that much pressure, but with a growing platform [and how] the women’s game is growing, there is also growing pressure. The fans are growing, social media is growing, so there are two sides to it.
“We can really help the younger generation of today to deal with that kind of pressure, which you have to be able to manage as a footballer,” she adds. “You have to find what you need to focus on and what you should really just shut off and not focus on. You need to find the people that you talk football with and the people’s opinions you shouldn’t care about.”
Harder picks up the thread: “When we were younger, there was only one focus and that was football – to get better and to win. It was just football: that was the thing we played for. Now, there is so much more and, with social media, it’s also about a lot of individual awards, individual recognition, when the focus should be on the team. And I think it’s easier to be distracted [from] having that right focus. That’s something important to think about…”
“And to remind yourself about on a daily basis,” Eriksson cuts in. “And also to spread that within the team – that it’s a team sport and the team wins, the team loses, the team scores, the team concedes. All of those things.”
“Except when Magda scores!” adds Harder with a laugh, teasing her partner over a goal she scored in the week of this interview.
Jokes aside, the pair obviously think a lot about the game, which makes them natural choices to sit on UEFA’s Football Board, the body set up last year to draw on the knowledge of current and former players and elite coaches in the shaping of women’s football. For Eriksson, it’s “inspiring to know you get a direct line to some really big decision-makers”, and the welfare of players – “the football calendar and making football sustainable” – is something both women are keen to highlight.
“We all want a long career, but sometimes if you have to play all the time and have no break, that will shorten it,” says Harder. “Often, we have tournaments in the middle of summer or late summer, so we have four or five weeks before the tournament for our summer holiday, but then we don’t really have that time off because you train to prepare for the World Cup. And then, after the World Cup, [Magda] had ten days and I had two weeks off, and then you just go straight back into it. So, you have to put the tournaments earlier so you have at least four weeks after when you can really, medically, relax and be ready for the new season. Everything else is just too hard mentally and for the body.”
“It was the same last year with the EURO and the amount of injuries we saw after,” says Eriksson, who, ironically, just days after our interview, suffered a metatarsal fracture in her left foot. “Again, [it was] a couple of weeks off for a few, even less for others, and then you are straight back into a high-performance environment where you immediately have to play games. Finding a balance in the calendar where you get the breaks at the right time and don’t have too many games in short spaces of time is the most important thing.
“The fact we are starting now to do research on women’s bodies and women’s players is the first step. With the way we train, the way we train conditioning, everything is based on research on men’s football players, men’s athletes. We don’t know if it’s the same for us. Should we train more or less, or in a different way?”
From Harder comes further food for thought. “When you think about it, we use the same football as the men. It isn’t that I want to change it, but it’s also the same size of pitch and we don’t have the same body; we don’t have the same strength in the muscles. I don’t know the impact from every time I shoot or make a pass, if that’s actually a bigger impact on my muscles than it is on a man’s. That’s something I think it would be quite interesting to look at. I don’t know if it’s something we want to change and have a lighter ball. Maybe it’s just small percentages of how heavy the ball is that could change it.”
“There is rivalry in women’s football, but respect, love and joy always come first”
It’s fascinating to hear this to and fro on the physical side of the game they love, and it’s not the only challenge they see. We talk too about misogyny and what Harder describes as “a mindset of some people who don’t want to change [and see] that women can also play football, women can also be commentating on men’s football, that they also have knowledge about football. They have their mindset and their values about it and it’s really difficult for them to change.”
What is not in question is that women’s football has taken giant steps already in terms of status and recognition. As the commercial opportunities grow, however, neither woman wants to lose the things that make it different from the men’s game. Eriksson recalls the celebratory atmosphere in Australia and New Zealand during the last Women’s World Cup; she cites too the friendly fan dynamics in the club realm.
“We are coming off the back of a fantastic World Cup where there were only positive emotions connected to the games. Of course, some teams win, some teams lose – that’s part of football – but the way the tournament was held and the fan culture, that was amazing. So much positivity, so much joy, and that’s everywhere in women’s football fan culture right at the moment. That is what we want to keep. In women’s football, that rivalry is still there, but the respect, the love and the joy is always what comes first.”
The last word comes from Harder, ever the finisher. “It won’t be easy to keep it like that, but that at least is the aim.”

Today I just created my 2024 vision board, I feel pretty exited about this new year that's coming!
Btw, I have been thinking about doing something creative with my time, right now I'm officially on vacation mode, which is kind of waking up sooooo late and binging True Beauty on repeat. It kinda brings me the cool memories of the 2020 lockdown, when my friends and I stay up till 2am just charting and playing on Discord.
So I was thinking that I might start a yt channel i guess... I need to practice on my language skills, so I might narrate my day in a different language each day. Thoughts on this??
Also, do u have any recommendations on some yt channels that I can get inspire by? That would motivate me a lot.
That’s it for the day, currently in floor time lol watching Heartstopper for like the 5th time and sipping on my coffee.

Feedback on OTW’s 2023-2026 Strategic Plan Update
The OTW posted their 2023-2026 Strategic Plan on July 24, following up on six years of work since their previous 2017-2020 Strategic Plan. A Strategic Plan is a guiding document that many organizations and companies will develop to outline long-term goals and how to achieve them.
OTW’s Strategic Plan consists of three parts:
Vision Statement 2022-2025, which outlines the mission, priorities, and challenges for the organization, and was published a year ago.
2023-2026 Strategic Plan, which gives a timeline for what the organization plans to work on and achieve at various intervals, beginning in July 2023.
Strategic Planning Implementation Support Plan, which provides guidelines for the Strategic Planning Committee and the entire organization to monitor the progress of the priorities outlined in the plan.
We wanted to provide our analysis and feedback on the Strategic Plan from the perspective of our goals to hold OTW to its commitments to hire a diversity consultant by the end of 2023, update their Terms of Service (TOS) to address racist harassment and abusive content on AO3, and provide more transparency.
Strategic Planning Process
The process for developing the Strategic Plan was opaque for people who are not staff, board, or volunteers with the OTW. The draft version of the Strategic Plan was not circulated to members or AO3 users outside the organization before it was finalized. While it is not unusual for nonprofits to only solicit feedback from their own staff and board on such a document, most nonprofits and websites tend to do other forms of proactive community engagement such as through surveys, focus groups, workshops, and more to understand the needs of people who do not work for the organization. In the absence of that kind of engagement, the Strategic Plan could have been an opportunity for the OTW to seek input from a wider base, including OTW members, AO3 users, Fanlore editors and viewers, editors of and contributors to Transformative Works & Cultures, mods of archives imported through Open Doors, and more.
Additionally, the OTW mentions that they received feedback from volunteers in the year between when the Vision Statement was published in 2022 and when the final plan was published this year, but the Vision Statement itself has not been updated to reflect that input. Given that the Vision Statement guides the organization’s priorities and themes of work, this is also a missed opportunity.
Strategic Planning Timeline and Actions
Diversity Consultant
The Vision Statement includes one bullet point under “Diversifying Spaces” on this topic: “Contracting with an individual or organization to consult on issues of racial bias and inequality within the Organization and its projects. Options for this will be researched by a dedicated Diversity Consultant Research Officer, appointed by the Board of Directors.”
The timeline in the Strategic Plan includes goals for the Diversity Consultant Research Officer (DRCO), the volunteer who was appointed in April 2022 to research diversity consultants. The DRCO is to give their first report to the board in three months (October 2023), a year and a half after being appointed. The DRCO is supposed to then give reports every three months, which will be “shared both internally and externally to users”, and the DRCO and/or consultant are to check in with Volunteer Coalition leaders every six months.
There is no other mention of the goals for the diversity consultant themselves in the timeline, nor a confirmation of the commitment to hire a diversity consultant by the end of 2023, which the OTW Board stated in their July 1 public meeting.
Anti-Harassment Policy Updates to TOS
There is no mention of TOS updates to address racist harassment and abusive content on AO3.
Transparency
The Vision Statement included two sections that are relevant here: one on “External Communication” as a priority area, and a section under “Challenges” on “Public Narrative” that included possible goals such as sharing more information about OTW’s history, purpose, and structures in infographics; encouraging committees to create public-facing video content to explain the work that they do; and revising the overall communications strategy to improve transparency and communicate the missions effectively.
The timeline in the Strategic Plan includes two goals that follow up on this in 18 months:
“Strengthen Overall Communications Strategy: International and multilingual external communications strategy is clarified and further developed.”
“Strengthen Consistency and Reach of Public Messaging: Clear guidance for consistency across our platforms to support raising awareness of the OTW mission is developed.”
The Strategic Plan also mentions that the DRCO will give quarterly reports to the Board on their progress, which will also be shared both internally and externally.
Other relevant areas
The Vision Statement’s section on “Diversifying Spaces” also had other strategies intended to address racism, including creating volunteer resource groups who “may suggest, advise, be consulted on, or provide information for OTW policies that may affect their experience within the OTW and our projects”; trying to expand recruitment to diversify volunteer, staff, and board candidate bases; and providing more features to give individual AO3 users more control for filtering and customization.
The timeline in the Strategic Plan included these goals:
Recruitment: In 6 months, “each committee will have reviewed research on and taken action to improve diversity and decrease bias in candidate selection processes”.
Volunteer Coalitions: In 12 months, “research into volunteer coalitions is completed and initial volunteer coalitions start being formed”; and every six months from there, the DRCO and/or consultant will check in with the Volunteer Coalition leaders.
Implementation
The Implementation Support Plan primarily consists of actions that the Strategic Planning Committee and leadership will take to ensure plan implementation, including checking in with teams, evaluating progress on goals and creating documentation, providing support for committees, monitoring the plan’s feasibility, and celebrating goal completion.
Our recommendations
Given that the hiring of a diversity consultant has been lagging for three years, and since it is not in these documents, the commitment to hiring a diversity consultant by the end of 2023 should be reiterated in other official OTW communications.
When the DRCO and Board have developed a scope of work for the diversity consultant, the Strategic Plan timeline should be updated to include key milestones and expected deliverables for the consultant within the 2023-2026 time period.
The regular updates that are currently assigned to the DRCO in the timeline should be extended to the diversity consultant once hired, to ensure transparency.
The Strategic Planning Committee should provide more specifics on how they are evaluating progress on the plan’s goals, and ideally give updates at regular intervals on that progress.
For the next Strategic Plan, the OTW should engage with the Volunteer Coalitions, particularly those that are intended to support volunteers of color and non-western volunteers, as well as reach out to stakeholders outside of the organization itself, including OTW members and people who engage with OTW’s projects (AO3, Fanlore, Open Doors, and Transformative Work & Cultures).
The next Strategic Plan should also be completed in a timely manner to prevent missing coverage of years, which was what happened for 2021 and 2022.

Another side of you (Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Male Reader) - Part 3
Thanks so much for the likes on my last 2 parts! It is greatly appreciated :)
Word Count: 2020
Tumblr media
TW: Injuries, blood, mental health issues
Y/N’s heart was beating faster than it had ever beaten before. His vision was blurred as he ran through the dense and snow covered forest. In his arms, he held Simon… who had suffered a deep bullet wound to the chest. Blood was pouring out of him, spilling into the snow and coating Y/N as he carried him. Y/N ran as bullets from the enemy wizzed past him at terrifying speeds. He knew he couldn’t stop, he knew he couldn’t afford to get hurt too. If he stopped for even a moment, Simon’s condition would get worse. Y/N could never let that happen… So he ran. Ran and ran and ran.
Y/N screamed into the radio over and over again, requesting immediate backup and medical assistance. However, due to how remote he and Simon were… no body could get there quick enough. “Fine… I’ll do it myself…” Y/N muttered to himself. He was growing weak, carrying a man the same weight as him while running through a forest covered in 3 feet of snow was taking its toll on his body. But he didn’t stop, in fact, when he looked down at Simon’s unconscious face… he speed up. He was driven by rage and a sense of extreme urgency, he was going to save Simon no matter what.
After hours of trekking through the thick wilderness, he reached a clearing where the evacuation helicopter was waiting. He picked up his speed even more, dodging bullets and hoisting Simon further up onto himself. He pretty much threw Simon down onto the stretcher when he boarded the helicopter and it began taking off. He sat on the floor of the helicopter, watching the medics work on Simon to try and save his life. Y/N tried his best to control his breathing, get himself under control… but the sight of Simon’s nearly lifeless body was too much.
A few hours later, Y/N sat in the hospital waiting room. Simon had been in surgery for hours now, and would continue to be for many more. Y/N didn’t really know how to feel. The odds of Simon surviving were slim, even if he did make it he might end up with permanent disabilities. Numb. Thats how he felt. Completely and utterly numb. Y/N wondered about what Simon was going to say to him, in the seconds before he got shot. He thought it might’ve been a confession, or maybe something else. If it was a confession after all however, Y/N would have been more than happy to confess right back.
Y/N was still in his bloodied and snowy military gear, when someone walked up to him and handed him a change of clothes. He looked up, only to see the somber face of Captain Price. “Hey… gotcha some clothes…” he said, sitting next to Y/N in the waiting room. “Thanks Price.” Y/N replies, his tone was sad and monotone. He stood up and headed the hospital bathroom.
He peeled himself out of his military gear, the blood from Simon had caused it to stick like glue to Y/N’s already frozen body. He had a quick shower, just stood under the water until the blood was gone from his torso and forearms. He got changed into the clothes Price had brought him, a simple pair of cargo trousers, a shirt and a thick jumper. He put it all on and as he went to leave, he caught his reflection in the mirror. His face had a very distinct blood splatter across it. One that happens when someone is shot. Not only was there blood all over his face, it was all down his neck and arms and… it was… spreading? Y/N started to panic, breath immediately turning frantic and all his senses heightened. He grabbed some tissues and when he turned back to himself in the mirror, all the blood had gone. Y/N calmed down, but he knew he was slipping.
He sat in the waiting room with Captain Price for many more hours. They arrived at midnight, and the sun was already on its way down again when Y/N received news that Simon would thankfully be okay. He practically sprinted down the corridor to Simon’s hospital room in the trauma centre, not bothering to wait for Price. When he saw Simon in the hospital bed, all hooked up with wires everywhere, ventilators, heartbeat monitors. He felt overwhelmed. Simon of course was in a coma, injury too damaging to stay awake. Y/N pulled up a chair and sat by his bed.
A week later, Y/N had visited Simon everyday. He sat by his bed, usually in silence but occasionally talking to him. He couldn’t bear not seeing him. The hospital room as relatively small, seeming even smaller due to the amount of machines keeping Simon alive. There was one small bathroom and opposite the entrance was a large window that took up most of the wall space. As 1 week turned into 2, then to 3 and then a month, less machines were needed for recovery and Y/N was able to sit on the hospital bed with Simon. He still visited everyday, staying until opening hours all the way to closing hours… never leaving Simon’s side.
One day when Y/N was visiting Simon, he had just got back from the gym. He had started going more often, to bring back some sense of normalcy into his life. Also in the back of his mind, it was to ensure if that if anything like this happened again he’d be able to carry someone faster. He was sat with Simon and felt himself growing tired. He rested his head on the edge of the bed and fell asleep. It wasn’t the first time he’d fallen asleep like this, but this time something… happened.
He felt a strong hand grip the back of his head and force his head up. He made eye contact with Simon, who was now awake. Simon’s eyes were wild and bloodshot, slight glazed over too. His face was contorted by pure rage and his face was covered in his own blood. “You should’ve ran faster.” Simon said, in the most terrifying and threatening voice Y/N had ever heard. Y/N pryed away from him, backpedaling in fear. Simon followed however, ripping out the wires and tubes he was hooked up to causing blood to rush from his arms. Y/N fell to the floor in fear of this uncanny man in front of him, he didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, Simon raised his fist as if he was going to punch Y/N. Y/N instinctively looked away, as to avoid the pain and the hit.
But… the hit never came. Y/N looked back at the hospital bed, only to see Simon hooked up to the machines and in the same position he was always in. Simon hadn’t moved, but Y/N had. He was cowering on the floor, believing he was about to be hit by the man he had feelings for. “What the fuck is happening to me…” Y/N whispered to himself. He stood up, walked back over to Simon and looked over every inch of him. He was trying to convince himself that what he saw did actually happen, but he knew deep down it did not. He was being driven insane. Driven insane by guilt, driven insane by the constant images of Simon being shot, driven insane by the never ending feeling that he was still running in those snowy woods. He left the hospital early that day, the first time in the month and half that Simon had been staying there.
Y/N drove straight to base. Walked straight to Captain Prices’ office. And told him what happened straight up. “Y/N what do you mean? The hospital would’ve called us immediately if he woke up.” Price said, still confused. “He didn’t wake up. I- I just.. I saw him moving in.. in my head!” Y/N answered, growing more frantic. “So you… hallucinated? You hallucinated Simon blaming you, son?” Price asked, his fatherly instincts really started to kick in after he saw how frantic Y/N had become. “I- Yeah! Yeah that’s what I saw..” As Y/N said this, he began to panic more. “Look, Simon won’t blame you. He doesn’t, blame you I mean. You saved his life Y/N! If anything, he will love you for that.” As these words left Price’s mouth, something new clicked in Y/N’s head. He began explaining to Price all his thoughts, all his feelings and how he felt about Simon. Price had an effect on people, he made them feel safe. Which is what he was doing now, making Y/N feel safe enough to share his thoughts.
Price and Y/N spoke for many hours into the night. It was mostly about Y/N’s feelings for Simon, which as a result of what happened managed to manifested itself into hallucinations. Y/N had such strong feelings for Simon, that he blamed himself for everything that took place that horrific day in the snowy forest… overlooking that beautiful view. Price helped Y/N realise that it wasn’t his fault. None of what happened, was ever his fault. He did his best to save Simon and he did. Simon is alive and breathing. Y/N did his job as a lover and as a friend immaculately. The night was a wild ride of emotions, but in the end it was good. After talking through his feelings with someone he trusted, Y/N felt better. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He knew he wasn’t 100% okay, but he knew that just one conversation was a step in the right direction to being better. It would take awhile, but it would all be worth it in the end.
Y/N continued to visit Simon in the hospital for the next month until he finally woke up. That day, when Y/N got the call… it may have been the happiest moment of his life. He drove there so fast that there might as well of been fire coming off of his tires. He sprinted down the corridor, turned into Simon’s room and saw him. He was sat up, eyes open and the second he saw Y/N, a smile appeared on his face.
“The nurse said you visited me everyday.” Simon said, in a playful teasing tone but his voice was definitely weak after waking up. “Everyday for 2 months and 17 days.” Y/N said as a smile of his own grew and sat on Simon’s bed right next to him. “You care that much huh?” Simon chuckled. “More than you know.” Y/N answered, chuckling as well. The nurses did a few more check ups on Simon, before leaving the room to give them some privacy. They spoke about random things for a while, such as how the other Task Force members were doing, how things were at base and others things like that. When suddenly, Simon spoke up after a pause.
“That day… right before I got shot… I was- I was gonna tell you something.” Simon said, nerves building in the pit of his stomach. “Yeah?” Y/N responded, secretly glad Simon had brought this topic back up. “You know me, I’m not- great, with the whole emotions thing.” Simon said with a small chuckle. “I just- I guess what I’m trying to say is… I like you, Y/N. Not just as friends, I mean I like you.” Simon’s nerves were now at an all time high, the heartbeat monitor giving that away immediately. He waited anxiously, but all worries suddenly melted away when he saw the blush on Y/N’s face. “I have had.. a lot of time to think about how I feel towards you while you were in the coma. I have come to realise… I like you too.”
At with those words alone, Simon weakly lifted an arm up to Y/N’s cheek and held his face. Y/N leaned down and gently pressed his lips on Simon’s. When they finally touched, it was like nothing else mattered. The feelings were indescribable, but one thing was for sure… they were both very, very happy.
(Little PSA from me: If you ever feel like you are struggling with your mental health do your best to reach out to someone you trust. If you feel like you don’t have that, remember there are always places online you can call, text or even email. I encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out. You are not alone and there is always someone who will listen. ❤️)

Thrantovember 2023
From @queenieschaoscorner - their Thrantovember was the first fest I ever did back in 2020.
1. Neither Ever, Nor Never
Moderation in all things, even in happiness or in grief is the Chiss way, and Eli is learning that.
He knows that his crewmates on the Steadfast are vun'sasn tur carcim - worried for his existence - and Bun'hee sticks to him as she does to her stuffed tooka toy. He knows Ar'alani would send him back to 'his Humans' if they were still there, but they're not. Everyone he knew is gone. After fifteen years in the Imperial Navy, his parents both passed on, his siblings were strangers to him by his mid-twenties. The weird cadre became his kin - Barlin, Hammerly, Marinith. Then the Chimaera's just left-of-center on the psych exams crew, hand picked by Faro. He lost his crewmates, his friends, and Thrawn all in one nightmare handful of minutes over Lothal.
Thrawn was his adversary, his mentor, his friend, more than friend. It was accepted though unspoken that flag officers and their aides had varying levels of intimacy.
Ar'alani sits with him when it's really bad.
His crewmates try to draw him out, but he looks at them and in his mind's eye sees faces that he will never see again. He can't. If Un'hee didn't need him, he'd have put the muzzle of his charric under his chin and pulled the trigger.
It's bad tonight.
Sometimes the tone of a laugh reminds him of Pyrondi. A gesture mimics Faro. Sometimes a Chiss has enough resemblance to Thrawn. Pain, Lomar told him after his father's death, is a signal of love with no receiving station. It has no place to go, the channel is closed.
"I want to teach you something, Eli Vanto."
Eli looks up, his hands locked around a mug of cacaoleaf and aware he's been staring at the tactica board without making his move. Ar'alani's beating the pants off him, just the way Thrawn used to.  She cups her cool blue hands around his.
"Nav seo, nav nan'eo. Do you understand?"
Neither ever, nor never.
"You're saying that I might see Thrawn again, also that I might not. It's not one or zero."
"It is not. Alive or dead, honor Thrawn and your ship-kin by doing what they would have wanted you to do."
Eli's vision shimmers. He knows the answer but asks the question anyway. "And that is?"
"Live, Eli. Thrawn would have wanted you to live. Honor him that way."

PACIFIC RIM 3? ORIGINAL STAR SAYS HE'D RETURN — ON ONE BIG CONDITION
The Pacific Rim star couldn’t appear in Uprising, but he’s down for more monster-fighting action.
BY
LYVIE SCOTT
Pacific Rim may have garnered a cult following in the decade since its theatrical release, but the struggles of its sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, kept the fledgling franchise from reaching new heights.
Director Guillermo Del Toro was clearly passionate about building out his “giant robots fight giant kaiju” world, having planned a second and third Pacific Rim film just a year after the original’s unprecedented success abroad. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t to be: the director moved on to The Shape of Water and was replaced by Daredevil’s Steven DeKnight. A handful of cast members would return for Uprising, but OG star Charlie Hunnam wasn’t among them.
Hunnam played Jaeger pilot Raleigh Beckett in Del Toro’s 2013 film. He survives the events of Pacific Rim, along with co-pilot Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi), but Mako reprises their role in Uprising while Raleigh scarcely gets a mention. The actor told Collider he’d been “part of the conversation” when Del Toro was still building out the films. “I think that his vision for it included me. But by the time they circled around and decided that they were gonna make it with a different director, we had a conversation about it, but I was booked up.”
Uprising didn’t exactly ruin the franchise — the battle between Jaeger and kaiju continued in the Netflix anime Pacific Rim: The Black — but it did, at least, seem to be the end for Hunnam. “When I didn’t do the sequel, I think that probably closed that chapter for me,” the actor said in 2020. Three years later, though, there’s still a slim chance for Hunnam’s return... but only if Del Toro is also on board for a sequel.
There aren’t any current plans for a Pacific Rim 3, but if the franchise’s original steward were to come back for it, then Hunnam would return without question. “I would do anything that Guillermo was doing,” the actor told Inverse while promoting Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon. “If Guillermo invites me to do Pacific Rim 3, I’ll be there. Or anything else he wants to do.”
Del Toro is currently working on his adaptation of Frankenstein, and hasn’t expressed much interest in revisiting the Pac-Rim world. He stated he had “no plans” to return in 2021, and still has yet to catch the sequel, likening it to the idea of “watching home movies from your ex-wife.” Of course, plans are always subject to change. Pacific Rim 3 could still technically happen one day, and if it does, we at least know its leading man is already locked in.
If this pans out no one will remember PR2 and maybe they can bring Mako back somehow...

Hell-raisers: The Boys season 3 shakes up prestige TV with superhero debauchery
From Supernatural to supe
"It's Captain America on his a--," says Ackles. "It's as if Captain America gave up superheroism and was just your drunk and inappropriate uncle." More than that, this super-soldier emits toxic masculinity like it's exhaust — another concept at the forefront of season 3. "It's mind-blowing how the most powerful white dudes in the world are the ones that are first to claim that they're being victimized and disenfranchised and persecuted," Kripke elaborates. "We're trying to call attention to what bulls--- that is."
Ackles recalls how Kripke would actively try to push the limits of what you could show on screen during their days working on the WB/CW's Supernatural. The showrunner felt like a caged lion at the time — or at least a lion caged by Standards and Practices censors. To some extent, Ackles knew what he was getting into when, after Supernatural's conclusion in 2020, the pair decided to work together again on The Boys, this time with the narrative liberties that come with making a show for a subscription streaming platform. Still, Kripke managed to push the actor to the edge.
Ackles was game for just about everything season 3 had to throw at him, except for one part of the Soldier Boy arc. The actor called up Kripke after reading the scripts and, based on the pair's accounts of that call, the conversation went something like this: "As a father of three, and a son and a husband and a self-respecting human being, I can't do this. I didn't know where my line was, but you found it." For now, they both decline to say what this scene entailed exactly, but Kripke admits to laughing when he got Ackles' call. Not that he found the situation funny. It was more the thought that maybe they had finally pushed the TV limits too far. "We worked out a compromise where I got what I needed without him destroying his soul," Kripke says.
Urban sees it as a good sign: "When Jensen Ackles is making calls like, 'I don't know if I can do this,' that's when you know you're in the right place." It's clear the cast has a lot of faith in Kripke's vision. When he asks someone to climb into a dead whale carcass, the reply would likely be, "In what shoes?" So, when it was finally time to adapt something that faithful fans of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's original The Boys comics have been waiting years to see realized, everyone was on board.

Welcoming the new year
As you know the year is coming to an end and I realized I want to spend the rest of the year really pouring into myself and getting ready for a new life chapter. I want to reflect on all the choices I made this year, all the people I met, all the mistakes I made and everything that I learned.
Next year will be a really important year for me because it will be my 3rd year living on my own and the person I’ve become vs the person I was in 2020 are completely different. I want to learn from my mistakes, I want to move differently in the new year. Next year I’ll turn 24, in may and that will be the last year of my early 20’s I’ll be entering my mid 20’s after that. I have a vision for my life and I am so excited.
Next year I want to truly pour into myself, listening to my intuition, stay true to my standards and start living the life I truly want. By this time next year, I want to look back and be proud of myself. I want more positive moments, no more hard lessons or stressing over people who aren’t meant to be in my life, the door is always open and they can leave anytime I won’t stop them and I’ll be ok. Even if next year turns out to be a quiet, calm year I’m totally ok with that. I want to build more quality connections and treat people with kindness.
I want next year to be the year I’m truly able to be myself. I’ve been a naturally happy person since I moved out. I want to meet quality people who add to my life and who pour into me like I pour into them, no one sided friendships or guys who don’t have the best intentions or who just want to play games. No holding onto people who just aren’t meant to be in my life, no grudges. I want to start dating again and I want to date successful quality men who meet my standards and eventually find the right man for me. I want to live a full life next year and experience my vision board coming to life. I want to complete all my goals and really live my version of my best life. 🤍

NGAD engines heat up, and remembering the Mercury 7
A new phase of testing for the NGAD engine and remembering the pioneering journey of the Mercury 7 astronauts.
PILOTPHOTOG
FEB 20, 2024
“Changes in military systems come about only through the pressure of public opinion or disaster in war.”
-Billy Mitchell
Mission Briefing
In a monumental stride towards redefining air combat, Pratt & Whitney, a name synonymous with aeronautical innovation, recently announced the completion of the US Air Force’s (USAF) critical design review for their engine, a cornerstone of the ambitious Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program. This program isn't just about building another fighter jet; it's about crafting a sixth-generation aircraft, a marvel of modern engineering set to dominate the skies.
NGAD: The Future of Air Warfare
The NGAD program is not just an upgrade; it's a complete overhaul of aerial combat philosophy. Envision a fighter jet not just superior in speed and firepower but equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ready to outmaneuver any threat. The heart of this revolutionary machine? Advanced engines developed through the Next Generation Adaptive Propulsion (NGAP) program, promising unprecedented performance and efficiency.
Collaborative Excellence: The NGAP Program
Back in August 2022, the NGAP program marked a significant milestone. Five aerospace giants - Boeing, General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Pratt & Whitney - were each awarded a staggering ten-year, $975 million contract. Their mission? To bring their respective NGAP designs from the drawing board to reality. These contracts are not just about designing engines; they encompass a comprehensive journey of technological maturation and risk reduction. This journey includes rigorous phases of design, analysis, testing of prototype engines, rig testing, and the meticulous integration of these engines into advanced weapon systems.

Pratt & Whitney’s XA103: A Glimpse into the Future
Pratt & Whitney, a company with a rich legacy in aviation, is now focused on ground testing its prototype engine, dubbed the XA103. This isn't just any engine; it's a beacon of innovation, symbolizing a giant leap in propulsion technology. The XA103's testing, anticipated to occur in the late 2020s, is not just a routine procedure. It represents a critical phase in bringing the NGAD vision to life, a step closer to an era where air superiority is redefined.
The Road Ahead
As we look towards the future, the NGAD program, spearheaded by initiatives like Pratt & Whitney's XA103, stands as a testament to human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of technological advancement. This isn't just about building the next generation of fighter jets; it's about shaping the future of air combat, ensuring that the skies remain a domain of unmatched innovation and superiority. Keep in mind that General Electric is working on their own advanced engine in competition with Pratt & Whitney to see who will power the NGAD, as more details come in, I will update you here and on the YouTube channel.

‘Of Meadows and Blue Skies’ by Melody Money
‘Of Meadows and Blue Skies’ by Melody Money was a solo show at Visions Art Museum in San Diego in 2021 that now lives on the form of an online and video exhibition on the Visions website. Melody Money is a mixed media textiles artist who prides herself on attention to detail and is “motivated to take a medium that is traditionally worked on a smaller scale and expand it to a larger version” and that's evident in this show.
After Melody Money received her Fine Art degree from the University of Colorado, she went on to study prismatic colour theory at Rudolph Schaefer school of design, and this schooling in colour theory shines through throughout the show. This works’ colour pallet is almost exclusively bright warm blues, greens and yellows. Few of the pieces from this collection use colour pallets that could be described as realist. Instead, Money opts for the sort of colours that you could imagine a child choosing for a scribbled marker pen landscape that features a buttercup yellow sun in the corner of the page. It’s clear that these colours, maybe even more so them the actual pieces themselves, were designed to invoke a child-like wonder and love for nature.
Money’s piece ‘field studies’ is more reminiscent of a sample board than a fine art piece but that makes me love it even more. The piece itself is a 4 x 10 grid of textiles field studies, these studies are predominantly beaded embroideries of local wildlife like birds, butterflies and various flora. Money clearly prefers creatures that fly as, apart from one solitary fish, all the animals depicted have wings of some variety. I do not find this preference shocking as the sky is a constant reoccurring character in her work, always lovingly decorated with swirling winds. This piece being a series of studies and not one final piece makes the work seem a lot more personal to Money, I feel like I am witness to a before unseen part of her process which is both greatly endearing and gives greater context to the rest of the work in this collection.
Tumblr media
Money uses beading throughout these pieces, most significantly in ‘Rain’ but also rather heavily in ‘Field Studies’. All the beads she has chosen have either an iridescent or metallic quality to them, this means that in the bright lights these pieces shine. In ‘Field Studies’ a trio of blue iridescent swallows pull your focus immediately and in ‘Rain’ the whole lower third of the piece is alight, shimmering with silver bead work. These circles of beads and stitch create pools and puddles of rain that reflect both the faux, stitched light in the piece as well as the real, dynamic light of the exhibition space. Melody Money has said that light is the key to making her art sing, and I couldn't agree more, the beading on both these pieces would have been significantly less impactful and appealing had she opted for dull beads; it would have completely lost the magical shifting colours of the swallows and apparent glow and movement of the pooled water. The effect that light has on these pieces and really all of Money’s work make it such a shame I was only able to view this exhibition in the form of consistently lit photos and a lower quality than I would have liked video. I do think her work is lovely but to have seen her work in reality, especially in shifting sun light, would have been something else entirely.
‘Rain’ is an incredibly dynamic work, though the art itself is ever-stationary. Money’s use of layered vertical strips of differing shades of blue draws your eyes up and down the piece. This paired with the influx of cascading, downward-pointing triangles, which colours fade from navy to white, creates a faux sense of gravity, like the fabric rain is really falling. This effect and the way that Money has achieved it is beautiful and, in my opinion, makes ‘Rain’ the most visually stimulating piece in the collection.
Tumblr media
By comparison, ‘Chant’ at first glance is a much simpler work; the colour pallet is more muted, and it lacks the flashy beading and intricate forms of some of the other pieces. Instead, most of the piece is made up of layers of silk shaded fields. From a distance this embroidery looks simply like blended colour, but up close the individual threads are evident and reminiscent of thousands of single plants and grasses. Due to the simplicity of the design of this piece, the intensity of the silk shading shines through. The most impressive element is the scale of the piece and volume of stitches - this amount of embroidery is a feat to undertake. But what I can only assume is dozens and dozens of hours of work has absolutely payed off, as all these dense stitches create this sense of never-ending, empty fields. This feeling is accented by the inclusion by seventeen beads of small iridescent birds in flight, up over the fields into the waiting bright blue sky above. These tiny birds seem little and insignificant in scale, compared to the force of nature that surrounds them, to a degree that I can’t help but feel small alongside them.
Tumblr media
‘Of Meadows and Blue Skies' is undeniably a love letter in fabric and thread to the ever-changing natural world that surrounds Money’s home in Colorado. Having grown up in an environment similarly surrounded by nature, Money’s work really speaks to me, it reminds me of the importance of enjoying and protecting the wild spaces around us. Money says in her artist statement “I try to shine a light on everyday moments” and for me she does that both completely and beautifully.

hey girl, I’m finding it really hard to get the bravery to choose what I really want to do in life, I’m first gen & I’m really thinking hard about my future but every time I pick something that makes me smile I get thoughts of “oh maybe I should be a doctor instead” or “what if I end up not making a lot of money” and I just can’t take it anymore. How do I become more confident with my purpose in life/my career trajectory instead of opting to become a Dr. because it seems like the right thing to do or the thing everyone else is doing 😭
Never do something just because it sounds good. A big mistake in our age group (assuming you're in your 20s like me) is feeling like you have to pick a path to please others. I think the biggest cause of this is that the older generation really pushes for more traditional jobs because that's all they had. Nowadays, we have so many options and so many degrees can be customized, and a lot of programs are now interdisciplinary and can lead you to multiple paths. Don't box yourself in just because that category seems socially acceptable. What is your why? If you think about it, your "why" shouldn't be because "everyone else is doing it and it makes me the most money." That's how so many older people have ended up with a 9-5 that they hate and they abandoned their dreams just to make money. I'm not saying to pick something that endangers your day to day life, though. After you think about your "why", you need to make a plan about where you see yourself in the next few years, and what your passions are. What do you dream about all day? What are practical ways that you can make it happen? You can always work a stable job while working towards the dream you want. You have so much life ahead of you, no need to waste it on medical school loans just because everyone else is. Some people have a calling to be corporate baddies, doctors, teachers, attorneys, etc. and we need those people. Me, on the other hand...I knew since I was a child that my calling was different than everyone else's. Like Sister Act 2 said, if you wake up in the morning and all you can think about is singing, then you're supposed to be a singer. For me that's the case. Make a outline and vision board for the new year and I promise you will get a clearer direction of your trajectory.
Also, here’s a post I made in 2020 on college/careers!

October 2023 Wrapup
Dread Month draws to a close! The spookiest of nights, the dawn of the dead, the uh, thing! We shed our shackles and dance in our bones, and tomorrow, go about the business of being people, once again, sloughing out into the drawing heat and the growing, burning, hateful light of a sun that resents us and we celebrate in spite of it. You know, the normal and natural way everyone relates to this time of the year.
Alright, let’s do the Game Pile articles!
Don’t Go In There, a dice chucker board game made in a charming dice tower
Backwater, a really interesting TTRPG about a post-apocalyptic vision of the parts of America that are allowed to stay permanently soggy
Phantom Ink, a hidden information ghosty game in the vein of Mysterium
Carrion, a video recreation of one of my favourite articles to read aloud from 2020
Then there’s the Story Pile!
Bloodthirsty Hearts, a fiction podcast about queer girls fighting gargoyle vampires at a convention in which they learn the valuable lessons that all systems of privilege and power aren’t as important as talking to your gay crush.
The Lighthouse, a black and white movie about what enters you when you take yourself far away from everything and empty yourself.
Jujutsu Kaisen, spoiler-free, a contextualising post about how a great Shounen Battle Anime with horror elements make the idea of shounen anime nonsense.
John Carpenter’s Halloween, from 1978, a movie that is both way better than I expected, and full of all sorts of deliberate choices that people seem to replicate for no good reasons.
Willy’s Wonderland, which is, unironically a Five Nights At Freddies fan movie made by Nicolas Cage in a month and really quite good!
This month also featured a somewhat bumper load of D&D content. First, I did some worldbuilding for Cobrin’Seil, both in revealing a new location, Uxaion, which is a necrocybermagepunk city. It’s an adventure city where you can contend with economic harm and threats, and where you can also just murder your way through cops that only respect the utility of your body as a potential undead – it’s a place for wight privilege. Then I also presented the player backgrounds for characters you could make from the Szudetken province. Along with that, I made an article about Evil Gods, and the antisemitism built into the framework of the D&D Lich, and since I was just in the territory, I made fun of the 4e D&D Vampire character class, even though I think it’s a great idea. Then, in this month’s How To Be article, where I got to hold high Harrowhark Nonagesimus, drowned sad vomiting goth of the Locked Tomb franchise, I also gave a long-form discussion of how to translate a prominent, small-cast character’s vibes in a team based game.
Up here, there’s also room to talk about an OC, Z3R0, and about the ongoing, relentless onslaught of capitalism in the creation of more than half of all valid Commander cards in the past five years.
This being October, I once again did a set of Dread Readings. I know that a lot of my friends have never partaken of a lot of classic, historically important horror media. At first, Dread Readings were Lovecraft Stories, trying to make the difficult readings of his old texts into something more approachable. Then, the year after, I started picking up short stories from other, equally classic horror material that could help – in my opinion – familiarise people with different kinds of horror that you know, didn’t just continue being Lovecraft.
This year, the four Dread Readings are:
HP Lovecraft’s The Thing On The Doorstep, which I bring up as the time Lovecraft dabbled in issues of gender.
A chapter excerpt from Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind In The Willows, in which Mole and Rat meet the Horned King, a totally normal thing to randomly have in an otherwise pretty Christian book!
Destiny’s No Rez For The Weary, a lore tab entry from a videogame. I liked it because it’s horror in a science fantasy space that isn’t
Paul Jenning’s Granddad’s Gifts, a haunting story from an Australian kid’s author. This is a story I really like as an example of horror used to a different romantic effect than just fear.
It wouldn’t be October, the ongoing Dread Month, without some real downer articles. Do you want to read me being a huge downer? No? Okay, well, here are links anyway. I wrote about the Silent Hill Wiki Circumcision Incident, about how we examine the death toll of Chernobyl, about the way we all live the life of Lovecraft’s horror, about the creation of an alternate reality in the form of all media that wants to pretend the Pandemic never happened, and most of all, the horror of a history seeing suicide by immolation become more common. Know what really sucks? Since writing that article I remembered the Arab Spring was kicked off by another one!
Next up, what about this month’s T-Shirt? Since I’ve been watching Jujutsu Kaisen, this horse meme and the narrative of the series came together:
This design was one of those ones where I, with enough work, was able to put together a few variations. Redbubble lets me stick things in collections, and so, here! Have a collection for your consideration of which version looks best to you.
Work-wise, this month is the tail end of semester, which means I have been, I think, marking student work every single day of this month. I’m trying to make sure my students are getting attention they need, and still also provide plans to my cohort of teachers about how we can refine these subjects going forward. This is in addition to my phd work, which…
It’s weird?
I’m excited to work more on my phd tomorrow morning. Like I am genuinely thinking about the stuff I stopped working on today and want to pick up tomorrow. There’s a mindset shift on that front that’s been really hard to get my head around. I’m glad of it.
I’m also kind of boiling with game ideas, and without a theme – and with the upcoming no effort november vibes I’m aiming for… we might see more chill vibes going forward!
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

rina sawayama starters - ‘sawayama’ (2020) edit as you see fit!
dynasty
i'm losing myself in the darkness of the world
catch me before i fall
saving myself is all i really know
i'm a dynasty the pain in my vein is hereditary
won't you break the chain with me?
i'm gonna take the throne this time
all the words all mine, all mine
you can't hide it in the walls, sweep it under marble floors
it's been living in our lives, best told damn family lie
i nearly gave it away for the sake of my sanity
XS
and when the heart wants what it wants, what can i do?
so i'll take that one, that one, yeah, that one too
call me crazy, call me selfish, i'm the baddest and i'm worth it
gimme just a little bit more, little bit of excess
i don't wanna hear "No, no", only want a "Yes, yes"
gimme just a little bit of excess
make me less, so, I want more
where did it go awry? when all this time, Heaven was in our eyes
so, say goodnight, forget about it 'til the end of time
STFU!
but it's too late, you already left
you're preaching even though I'm dead
you're like the first time under my pride
how come you don't expect me to get mad when I'm angry?
how come you don't respect me?
why don't you just sit down and... shut the fuck up
have you ever thought about taping your big mouth shut?
patience overrated, if you want it, come and get it
i'm not being naturally negative, no
i don't wanna be that girl again
i've been done and been through more friends than i can count on my fingertips
how come you don't detest me?
i am your medicine and your reality
comme des garçons (like the boys)
can i just record you doing that
i woke up today, had to wash my fears away, again
i'm feeling okay, it's just another day to pretend
excuse my ego, can't go incognito
every time you see me it's like winning big in Reno
don't fuck with me, hoe, take you down like judo
you should never be ashamed to have it all
hot like a fever make you a believer
write my name up in the sky from Paris to Shibuya
elevate your vision when you put me on the cover
akasaka sad
hotel corridor blacked out rear window crawling under my skin
flew here to escape but i feel the same
sucks to be me
sucks to be so lonely
don't look at me, fragile i bruise easily
cause I'm a sucker, sucker, so I suffer
i guess i'll be sad
i guess i'll be sad forever and ever and ever wherever
can't face who i can and can't be
5, 938 miles between you
paradisin’
livin' my best life thrivin'
drivin' you cra-a-a-a-azy
you say i'm misbehavin' but i'm just a kid, so save it
let me have an unforgettable time of my life
i went and messed up again, went against everything you said
then you threaten to send me to boarding school for the seventh time
i know we can't afford that so i'm fine
tough I'm stuck in the middle of it all, isn't life so beautiful
first kiss in 2003, making out, feeling carefree
but then his phone rings and your number's on the screen
i'm fine, yeah, i bet you think i'm terrible
love me 4 me
if you can't love yourself, how are you going to love somebody else?
every day, i wanna start over 'cause i remind me of me
at my worst, i'll let my mirror tell me lies
gotta do right, be nice, smile just like a lady
i gotta work hard, make up, hair done like a star
i gotta be that angel, good girl, soft and sexy
you wanna love me for me, if i made it easy
my mind, you find remedies, but you can't fix me, you can't win
bad friend
we ran through the bright Tokyo lights, nothing to lose
summer of 2012, burnt in my mind
high, crazy and drunk, five in a room
singing our hearts out to Carly, sweat in our eyes
i'm so good at crashing in, making sparks and shit but then i'm a bad friend
so don't ask me where i've been, been avoiding everything
i'm a bad friend
guess we fell out, what was that all about?
maybe i overreacted, well, maybe you shouldn't have
god, it's insane how things can change like that
don't even know where you are, what you do and who you do it with
put your hands up if you're not good at this stuff
fuck this world (interlude)
sometimes i can only see the bad side of our life
fuck this world, i'm leaving you
sick of what you people taking fuck 'em, better to be the top
fuck this world, it's dying
that's why i'm comforting stars
gravity can't pull us apart
here's to the new life on Mars
fuck it, now let's get fucked up
if i leave, then maybe i can start again
this is a mission impossible, may not be solvable, may not be viable but at least we're trying
this is a mission impossible, maybe unlovable, maybe unstoppable, but at least we're trying
who’s gonna save u now?
pain ain't gonna put it away
that's where you stay, deep in my prayers
for so long, i waited on you
so, you burned the bridges and drained the river
i can't forgive you like i did before
who's gonna save you now?
i wish you well, but go take it somewhere else,
gave it more than a fair shot even when they told me not to, i said i've got to
guess you became a project to me
you made me lose my mind so many times
you said no absolution, i needed a resolution
good luck in your evolution, hope you learned to live it better
you wasted my time, don't need it
say sorry, i don't believe it
you buggin', press hard reset
tokyo love hotel
you got that something that everyone wants
you got that movie star glow
you got them askin' to have you on their skin
even though they don't know like i know you, no, they don't
use you for one night and then away they go
thought i was original, but after all
i guess this is just another song 'bout Tokyo
i just want your love all to myself
i know there's nothing that i could say that hasn't already been said
falling for a stereotype
chosen family
tell me your story and i'll tell you mine
i'm all ears, take your time, we've got all night
show me the rivers crossed, the mountains scaled
show me who made you walk all the way here
settle down, put your bags down, you're alright now
we don't need to be related to relate
we don't need to share genes or a surname
you are my chosen, chosen family
so what if we don't look the same?
we been going through the same thing
hand me a pen and i'll rewrite the pain
when you're ready, we'll turn the page together
open a bottle, it's time we celebrate, who you were, who you are
we're one and the same
i chose you, you chose me
we're alright now
snakeskin
looking for forgiveness i ran into your madness
shutting off my brain just to spite my heart
you're slithering into my heart
buy my expensive, exclusive, pain wear
i tear my soul into two so that you can pretend despair
