Schumacher's attitude a 'positive surprise', says WEC team-mate Lapierre
Sportscar racing veteran Nicolas Lapierre says he was "positively surprised" by Alpine team-mate Mick Schumachers attitude from the first day the German stepped into a World Endurance Championship hypercar.
Former Haas Formula 1 racer and current Mercedes reserve Schumacher showed a desire to adjust himself to the multi-driver format of sportscar racing instead of going out for individual glory, according to four-time Le Mans 24 Hours class winner Lapierre. "When Mick came to his first test, it was in Jerez," said Schumacher’s Alpine teammate, Lapierre. "For me, when drivers come in from single-seaters, even more Formula 1, there are two options. Either he wants to be a real sportscar driver, share the car and work with his teammates, or he just wants to shine. I was very positively surprised with Mick since day one. He really wanted to work as a team, and it suits him quite good, as well. And his pace was straight away very fast. This we knew [already]; we had no doubt about this. The only thing now is to have a little bit of traffic management and this kind of stuff, because this is very new [to him]." Schumacher first got a chance to test the Alpine A424 LMDh last October and impressed the French manufacturer enough to earn a seat in its line-up for the 2024 season, joining team stalwarts Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxiviere aboard the #36 car. Prior to his Hypercar move, the German driver spent two seasons competing in F1 with Haas from 2021-22, scoring a best finish of sixth on his second visit to the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix. He remains on Mercedes' books in a reserve role in 2024 and, if required, can be called in by the Brackley-based squad even on WEC race weekends. Lapierre believes Schumacher's experience of working with the title-winning Mercedes F1 squad helps bring a new perspective to the Signatech-run Alpine team. "He is bringing some good stuff from Formula 1 because he is working with one of the best teams on the Formula 1 grid," he said, "so this brings us some fresh ideas, some new feedback, which has also been very helpful in this project." Schumacher spent the 2023 season on the sidelines after being dropped by Haas in 2023 in favour of countryman Nico Hulkenberg, electing not to compete in any other category during his first year out of F1. The German driver reiterated that he is looking for comeback opportunities in grand prix racing, but made it clear his current focus is on his Hypercar programme with Alpine. "I'm here now. What the future holds is quite difficult to predict and foresee," said the 24-year-old. "Obviously my focus for now is WEC, but I would be lying if I would say that I don't have an eye on Formula 1. There are a lot of things happening right now. Who knows what opportunities are presented to myself in a couple of months' time. I will deal with that when it's time." Schumacher, Lapierre and Vaxiviere finished twelfth overall in Saturday's opening round of WEC in Qatar, three laps down on the winning #6 Porsche Penske LMDh of Laurens Vanthoor, Kevin Estre and Andre Lotterer. Alpine stable-mates Paul-Loup Chatin, Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi scored points in eighth place aboard the #5 Alpine A424 to lead a successful return to Hypercar for the French manufacturer. "We had the pace to fight for the points, which was a bit unexpected, so we can be happy about it and proud of ourselves," said Schumacher. "It’s great the sister car managed to score."

ELMS interview with Clem (link above, copied text under the cut)
Tumblr media
Double WSK Super Master Series Kart Champion and Formula 2 race winner Clement Novalak will begin on a new chapter in 2024 when the 23-year-old French driver makes his ELMS debut with Inter Europol Competition in Barcelona, competing for the overall title in LMP2 alongside Ollie Gray and Luca Ghiotto.
After clinching his second WSK Super Master Series title in 2017, Novalak moved up to single seaters winning the 2019 BRDC British Formula 3 title with Carlin and finishing third in the 2021 standings of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. A move to Formula 2 garnered another win with Trident Racing last season, but now Clement Novalak has his sights set on glory in the ELMS and beyond.
Novalak was due to make his endurance racing debut at the Daytona 24 in January, racing in LMP2 with his new team. However, a pit lane incident during the final practice session sidelined the French driver before he could compete in his first race. After suffering a fractured rib, Novalak has now recovered and is ready for the start of the ELMS season in April.
So w hat influenced Novalak to change from single seats to prototypes? “I have always enjoyed the longer format of races; being able to get yourself into the zone at the wheel of the car for multiple hours,” he said. “The format is a real challenge, and enjoyable as we get to work with other drivers. I've always been interested in endurance racing from a young age when I watched the 24 Hours of Le Mans with my dad.
“In saying that, this is a new challenge for me, it's very different from what I'm used to with the sprint races in Formula 2 and Formula 3, but I'm really looking forward to it,” Novalak continued.
“ELMS is good for me, with WEC not having the LMP2s on the calendar anymore, ELMS now has so much racing talent within the championship and this means, that it will be harder to perform well. Inter Europol Competition are a mega team, they have great experience at the highest level of sportscar competition, and I am delighted to be racing with them this year.”
The next obvious question is how the Oreca 07 compares to the single seaters Clement Novalak has raced up to now. “Surprisingly, the car is not too different to what I have been used to,” Novalak admitted. “While heavy, it still has a single-seater vibe! The tires are more complaint than what we had in Formula 2, so overall, it feels similar, and I felt at home from the get-go.
“You can change your driving style and the car responds well, it does what you want so you can play around with it. It’s been extremely enjoyable getting to know the car and hopefully, we’ll be fast out of the box in Barcelona.”
Another new thing that Clement Novalak will have to learn and that is sharing a car. So how does he approach sharing a race car with two other drivers for the first time? “I'm looking forward to working alongside them both to try and extract as much performance as we car from the car and have some fun on the way!
“I don't know either particularly well. Luca (Ghiotto) was someone I looked up to in Formula 3 in my formative years, as he raced against the likes of Callum Ilott and those guys. Ollie (Gray), I know of, he's been in F3 and did a season with Carlin, as did I, so I expect we can share some stories and experiences.”
The competition in the ELMS is always fierce but with 22 LMP2s on the grid, 14 in LMP2, this season is likely to be tougher than ever for the overall title. So how is Clement Novalak approaching the start of the season and what is the goal for his debut year in Le Mans Prototypes? “For sure it's going to be the toughest LMP2 grid in the history of ELMS. There are so many professional drivers joining the series, so it’s going to be a huge challenge,” he admitted. “From my side, I unfortunately fractured a rib in Daytona, so I have not been able to be in the gym as much as I would like, but I have been around the sport and will do as much as I can physically, use the simulator, talk to the engineers and test when I can.
“I'll approach each race weekend as a standalone event, and not think too much about the championship. My job is to maximize everything in the car and the added benefits of having two teammates on the same car is, that we pool our knowledge and feedback to adapt and develop together.”
With six of the most challenging circuits in Europe the ELMS offers a good variety of challenges. So which circuit is Clement Novalak looking forward to the most? “I've had the pleasure of racing on all of the tracks, and to be honest, while there's only six rounds, they are probably the best circuits in Europe.
“It's difficult to pick and choose a favorite, but for me, Le Castellet is a home race and will therefore be special. The elevation changes make Spa-Francorchamps a favorite of many drivers, and for me Imola is one to look forward to with the flowing layout and great atmosphere.”
So what does Clement Novalak get up to when he is not racing? “For me, it is important to be able to switch off, outside of racing. I really enjoy playing tennis and watching football with friends. I'm starting a business at the moment – related to motorsport – so that is taking up quite a lot of my time away from the racetrack.
“I think once you're an athlete, you always enjoy – and respect tremendously – others excelling in other sports. So apart from sitting on the couch watching F1, its football, tennis, and golf; plenty to do in the time I do have off!”
The opening round of the 2024 European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Barcelona, will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain on Sunday April 14.

Callum is easygoing and happy, with a ready grin. He’s one of the friendliest people in the paddock with fans and other drivers alike. He’s got the typical dry British sense of humor and can be self-depreciating, except when it comes to his racing. In that area, he is analytical, confident in his own abilities and ready to offer constructive criticism to his team every time he gets out of the car. He built his team up from scratch in 2022, often finishing races higher than his car was capable of and with the addition of a second car and driver, is continuing to lead the way. Rumors abound that he is headed for a bigger and better team in the near future. While his current contract is for several years, only 2023 is guaranteed and there are likely several different options available to him and the team concerning where he will drive.

Not so gentle reminder that in 2021, Mav got a podium in Assen and not even 24 hours later they announced that he'd leave them at the end of the season, a year earlier than planned. He had every right to be mad at a team that he did so much for. I know yall don't wanna accept it, but he ended their longest unlucky streak, dominated the 2017 preseason tests, won the first two races of the season and won Le Mans and came third in the championship even while the team struggled with grip in the whole second half of the season. The first half of 2019 wasn't too good but he won Assen and then got 5 more podiums including a Malaysia win and came 3rd in the championship again. He started 2020 strong with a double second place in Jerez and later a win in the Emilia-Romagna gp. Then it all started to go down and he only came 6th. Started 2021 of with a win in the first round which should also be his last for Yamaha

Rui Andrade, Louis Delétraz, and Robert Kubica celebrating their 2nd place finish on the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 LMP2 podium
Vincent Vosse, whose WRT outfit will run BMW's World Endurance Championship programme next year, told Autosport,
“At the end of course I’m disappointed and I was dreaming of giving back to Robert and Louis what we lost in 2021. We could not make it, we have to accept it and start from now working for next year.
“You don’t come to Le Mans to finish second. If you have a lineup and a team to win, you go for the win. We did not, we finished second but we are leading the championship.”

Ferrari Hypercar Crews Announced for the FIA WEC
Ferrari officially announces its crews for taking on the 2023 season in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship in the 499P that was officially presented at the Finali Mondiali in Imola. The drivers chosen to bring the Prancing Horse back to the top class of the world championship represent a unique mix of talent, speed and stamina, essential qualities in endurance racing.
499P number 50. Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen are the three drivers set to take turns in the car that proudly bears the number 50, chosen to mark the years that have passed by since Ferrari last raced in the top class of the endurance world championship. Italian Antonio Fuoco, born in 1996, is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most talented drivers on the endurance racing scene and, together with Spaniard Miguel Molina, won the 8 Hours of Bahrain, playing a decisive role in winning the Manufacturers’ World Championship title with a great season finale. Molina, born in 1989 and European Le Mans Series champion in 2021, brings experience and determination to the crew. Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen, born in 1997, after becoming World Champion in the LMP2 Pro-Am class, completes a unique journey that has featured the Ferrari Challenge as an extraordinary accelerating element and has seen him win at least one continental or world championship title without interruption since 2018, always at the wheel of Prancing Horse cars.
499P number 51. Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi make up the crew that will share the work of racing the car bearing the number 51, one of the most successful in Ferrari history. After becoming World Champions for the second time in a row (the third in their careers) in the LMGTE Pro class, Italy’s Alessandro Pier Guidi, born in 1983, and Britain’s James Calado, born in 1989, will take on the challenge of earning the winners’ laurel in the top class together. This partnership, now in its sixth season in the world championship, can boast a unique list of triumphs: no one before them has been crowned champion twice in a row in the LMGTE Pro class and no crew has won three laurels (2017, 2021, 2022). The numbers of the British-Italian pairing over seven seasons in the WEC represent an unmistakable calling card: 11 wins and 23 podiums from 39 starts. The pair of world champions can count on the speed of Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, born in 1993, who is competing full-time in the endurance world championship for the first time after his experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, where he made his presence felt. With Scuderia Ferrari since 2017, Giovinazzi will continue as a reserve driver in 2023.

Le Mans-style Balance of Performance system would ruin Formula 1 Wolff | 2023 F1 season
Formula 1 must not emulate the World Endurance Championship by introducing a ‘Balance of Performance’ system despite Red Bull’s current domination, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has said. Red Bull have been undefeated since the season began and are on course to repeat last year’s championship double by an even more emphatic margin. However Wolff does not want to see Red Bull being reined in by a ‘Balance of Performance” system similar to that used by the World Endurance Championship and other series to create closer racing. “I think if we start to put in a balance of performance we’ll ruin this sport,” said Wolff in Monaco. “This is a meritocracy. Best driver and best car spending the same amount of money wins the championship. And if you break the rules in either you should be heavily penalised, but only then, not for a good job.” Report: Ferrari clinch historic victory on return to Le Mans after Toyota duel “Formula 1 is a meritocracy and they’ve just done a good job,” Wolff added. “The car is fast in all conditions, the driver is at the top of his game.” WEC introduced Balance of Performance regulations for its top class when the LMP1 regulations were replaced by the current Hypercar rules in 2021. The WEC Committee imposes different performance limits on the teams’ cars based on data gathered from each entry. The most recent changes to the BoP were made 10 days before this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. Toyota, which won the opening three WEC rounds, had its minimum mass increased to 1,080 kilograms, 16kg more than closest rival Ferrari. However it was also allowed to consume more energy over the course of a stint – 908 megajoules to Ferrari’s 901. Other teams were allowed to run lighter cars and use more energy. Advert | Become a RaceFans supporter and go ad-free Ferrari took victory following a race-long fight with Toyota, who dropped back in the final hours after Ryo Hirakawa crashed. The cars crossed the line separated by 81 seconds. WEC’s regulations state “the aim of BoP is to allow cars of different engineering designs to compete in the same category.” “Manufacturers, Competitors, drivers and any persons or entities associated with their entries must not seek to influence the establishment of the BoP or comment on the results, in particular through public statements, the media and social networks,” it adds. The concept of guest designer at Jean Paul Gaultier
Jean Paul Gaultier is a well known french fashion designer of 71 years old,
He started designing in 1976 at 24 years old and since then built an iconic brand apart of the peers of french fashion couture named after him:Jean Paul Gaultier.
The brand found in 1982 by Jean Paul Gaultier himself and Francis Menuge his long time lover who sadly passed away in 1990.
Over 4 decades mister Jean Paul Gaultier dedicated himself to create the most accurate collections inspired by his crazy and iconic mind.
The almost half a century old brand joined the high-royalty of french couture when she found her essence into the one and only,la marinière.
Tumblr media
When you think Jean Paul Gaultier, the one thing that come into your mind are the iconic blue and white stripes.
Coming from the sailors,it became a code of the house and reinvented into everything.
Dresses,Skirts,Couture,Ready to wear, you’ve seen it in everything and everywhere
And even almost 50 years after the creation of the brand the iconic code of the house still live in our time.
Jean Paul Gaultier retired in 2020 with an hour long, couture show, with more than 150 looks.
The grand-father of french couture gave his last reverence.
Jean,Suits,Corsets,Laces,Belts,Colors,Ties
This last collection took back to what made the house and what made him the man he is with a last exit not so lonely.
Tumblr media
The next chapter:Sharing and Teaching
Stopping the house wasn’t an option and here come the concept of "guest designer":
Over the past 3 years,4 designers took in charge the fashion house,
Tumblr media
Chitose Abe (Sacai),Glenn Martens (Y/Project,Diesel),Olivier Rousteing (Balmain),and Haider Ackermann.
July 2021,Jean Paul Gaultier Couture by Chitose Abe creative director of Sacai.
“It was a very intimate, more friendly proposal,an invitation to come over for tea. It didn’t feel like two companies coming together, but instead like two people.” recall Chitose in an interview in view of their collaboration
Tumblr media
A reinvention of the trench coat,
A range of blues,
The use of the marinière,
And the use of a royal blue to close the show.
For the very first show not in charge of the man himself the expectations were raised at the highest but Chitose responded in the greatest way, making the perfect mix of her essence at Sacai and the spirit of the french fashion house.
Tumblr media
With a collection of 36 looks, combining layered textures and corsets the creative director of diesel showed to the world is version of the gaultier woman in january 2022:
“This is a celebration of Gaultier. I’ve stayed close to the woman Jean Paul created in the past—pure diva goddess beauty, hips, whatever, all that drama he loved. I’m building on that through what I think of his iconic Gaultier moments. This marinière…it’s so him, but I completely fucked it up with all the fake coral spikes. I’m reinventing those iconic moments in my own way.”
Tumblr media
The fashion house was created in 1982 expanded with a fragrances line in 1993.
Those iconic bottles with the layers one of them called "Le male" became one of the best selling fragrances of all time and were recreated in the fall 2022 couture by Olivier Rousteing the creative director of Balmain who celebrated his decade in charge of the house in September 2021.In an immense show including couture and ready to wear with some of the famous 90s supermodels like Naomi Campbell or Carla Bruni.
Olivier always joined fashion and love “This show is an open letter to Jean Paul, an open letter of love,”
Amour something who was also here during the latest collaboration to date with the house including as a guest designer Haider Ackermann
Tumblr media
“I knew Jean Paul liked my work, but I never thought this would come my way. I'm already a long time in business. It’s usually like, okay, give it to the younger ones. And so, to design is one of the most wonderful feelings. I really love my job, and this made me love it even more. It’s been like a love affair between me, and the ladies in the atelier.”
Une lettre d’amour to the woman,to the essence of couture and to everyone who felt included while watching the show.
With supports like Timothée Chalamet or even Catherine Deneuve in the crowd, the guests were mesmerized by what was happening in front of them.
The models who walked with so much grace,"elegance" but also power made everything what we could call an ode to couture with a soundtrack full of emotions called "baraye" in honour of Iranian women fighting for their freedom.
Tumblr media
Julien Dossena the creative director of Paco Rabanne will be the next guest designer and will present his vision in July 2023.

Most people probably think of Marco as a spoiled rich boy, heir to a family considered to be racing royalty, and in many ways they are not wrong. Fame and fortune have been his from an early age with opportunities available to him that most of us can only dream of. Always somewhat shy and introverted, he was bullied in school for not being like his famous father and grandfather, the first time he felt the pressure of his family name. It wouldn’t be the last.
He began as most drivers do, racing go-karts at a local track at the age of 8. Three years later, his father pulled him out of racing, feeling the that stress and pressure was too much for him. A year later he was back racing at a different track. And winning. And he continued to win as he rose through the junior racing categories. At just barely 19 years old, he began his rookie season in Indycar. His career has been filled with near misses and what could have beens, most of them largely out of Marco’s control. Whispers of unfulfilled potential have plagued him for years.
As if this wasn’t enough angst for one man, tragedy and accidents have stuck some of those closest to him. Dan Weldon’s death devastated him. Dan had been a friend and like a big brother to Marco, looking out for him. A few years later, another terrible crash would force Marco’s honorary uncle Dario Franchitti to retire. And then he nearly lost one of his best friends, James Hinchcliffe. Marco was there when James woke in the hospital and still has the piece of paper James used to ask questions.
Off track, Marco is generous with his friends. His home is almost always open to them. He gave Conor Daly $3k for testing, no strings attached, enabling Conor to land his first Indycar ride. (James Hinchcliffe also contributed.) Conor has referred to something called ‘Wine Wednesdays” at Marco’s house. Caymus is Marco’s favorite brand.
In 2010, Marco purchased his childhood home from his father, first built in 1986. He also bought much of the furniture and décor back from his mother, all things she had received after divorcing Marco’s father in 1996, restoring it to the way it had been when he was a child.
In 2021, Marco transitioned to running only the Indy 500, the race win that had eluded him and his father their entire careers, deciding to focus all his efforts on that one race. This also freed up time for him to pursue other forms of racing. He won the 2022 SRX championship and has run a few NASCAR races.
The Andretti curse – explaining this would take a post all by itself so I will offer these sites to explain. The 'Andretti Curse' Andretti curse

Fanfic Lore
Good friends with James Hinchcliffe, Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly. The four could be considered a 'band of brothers’ and he is often paired with one (or several) of the others of the band.
Also paired with Graham Rahal, as they grew up together in the paddock, both of their fathers racing at the same time. Relationship is antagonistic at times from Graham's side.
To be honest, it might be easier to list who Marco has NOT been paired with. He is sometimes referred to as the ‘paddock bike’. (Because everyone has taken him for a ride.)
Historically paired with Dan Wheldon (sometimes as more of a big brother/little brother relationship), Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Bryan Herta, sometimes in groups.
Often considered a ‘woobie’ or a character that writers love to abuse.

ADSS97 Kawasaki announces star‑studded World Endurance Line Up
UK-based World Endurance team ADSS97 Kawasaki is upping the ante for 2023, announcing an exciting new rider line up of Chris Walker, Levi Day, Chris Platt and Craig Currie. All four riders will be competing on a freshly prepared Superstock spec Ninja ZX-10R.       2023 will mark a big step forward for the ADSS97 Kawasaki team. After several seasons competing in the Endurance World Championship Superstock class, the squad are now setting their sights on success with its strongest line up to date. Spearheading the effort is Kawasaki legend Chris Walker, who will be returning to the competitive world of endurance racing for the first time in over two decades.  Joining him on the Ninja ZX-10R will be Australian rider Levi Day, who has enjoyed great success in the National Superstock class in the UK. Team owner and experienced rider Chris Platt completes the team, having ridden Kawasaki machinery in both the British and World Endurance Championships. Craig Currie is on hand as reserve rider for the season as well as competing on three wheels in the World Sidecar Championship and Isle of Man TT. The ADSS97 Kawasaki team truck will also be the K-Tech Suspension Service Centre for the entire EWC Paddock. Chris Walker: “What an opportunity! To race within a team full of my pals on a proven bike, the ADSS97 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and at the Le Mans 24hr again after a 24-year gap is mega! I had always hoped my career would head me back in the direction of endurance racing as it reached its latter years, having enjoyed it so much in the past, but it didn’t quite pan out. A few years in Sidecars and TriOptions Cup, coupled with old age and obesity, sent me down a different path, so I’ve been Zip testing for RST for a while now, but the chance to go and ride the 24hr EWC series in the stock class is something I couldn’t turn down. So with the help of a few of my old sponsors coming along and supporting the team, I’m back on track, back on a Kwak, back to Le Mans and back on a racers regime of training and eating properly. Testing starts in Spain in a matter of Days, and I can’t wait!” Levi Day: “I’m really looking forward to the Endurance World Championship this year, and it’s something I’ve been keen to get into over the last few years. I’ve had the pleasure of doing Suzuka and an eight hour at Estoril a few years ago, so doing the three 24-hour races this year really excites me! It will be something very different to what I’m used to, but I will be working hard to do the best for the team, and I’m looking forward to teaming up with Chris Platt and Chris Walker on the ZX-10R and working together with the team to do our very best. There is a great crew involved, and I’m excited to get going!” Chris Platt: “I’ve competed in all sorts of racing, but I have to say that Endurance is one of the friendliest and most supportive paddocks. After cutting our teeth with the UK No Limits Endurance series, we stepped into the EWC paddock in 2021 and have now raced four 24hr races with a 100% success rate! For 2023, with new bikes, the backing of K-Tech Suspension, a strong team structure and new riders with a great mixture of youth and experience, we’re taking the next step, and I can’t wait to get going!” Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK: “The ADSS97 Kawasaki team have gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons, and we have been watching their progress closely. With a very strong rider line up this year, we are sure they will do a great job on the very competitive world stage.”  Checkout our dedicated Kawasaki Motorcycles UK News page Kawasaki Motorcycles UK News/ or head to the official Kawasaki Motorcycles UK website kawasaki.co.uk Read the full article

Nissan Sports Vehicles Photos, Nissan Sports Cars Pictures
Unveiled in 2007 to succeed the Skyline GT-R, the GT-R is a luxury sports car that’s considered one of Nissan’s best efficiency automobiles. The no-nonsense, purpose-driven vehicle will get its energy from a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine. While the original GT-R engine can deliver 478 horsepower, the NISMO variant can produce up to 600 horsepower. The Nissan 370Z is a 2-seater sports car, which was first showcased at the Greater LA Auto Show in 2008. It follows the 350Z, as the sixth generation of the Z model Nissan. Featuring a high-rev V6 engine and a handbook transmission, the 370Z is properly able to ship 332 horsepower.
The Silva 240SX featured a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine, which was used in many racing vehicles of that day, together with the Maserati 4CL. The all-new Nissan Z with a guide transmission and twin turbo V6 engine is the way forward for the Z-Car lineage. With inspiration taken from over 50 years of cautious composition, the next-in-line to carry the title of a Nissan Z-Car is simply nissan sports car models that—unmistakably Z. The Nissan 350Z, a two-door, two-seater sports car, kicked off production for the fifth technology of Nissan Z-Cars 2002 and ended the 6-year manufacturing hiatus in the US. 350Z, with its’ glossy redesign of 240Z DNA, helped rejuvenate the Nissan market presence going into the latter half of the decade.
We have combed through the archives of Nissan concept cars through the years and we predict we obtained most of them in our list under. December 5, 2021 Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. today unveiled a newly designed Nissan Z GT500 race car at Fuji International Speedway. The new GT500 racer will participate within the Super GT Series starting with the 2022 season. The Z-Series started in late with the Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan and the Datsun 240Z within the US. Its introduction was the culmination of 3 years of research and design that efficiently seemed to create a modern-styled, two-seater 6-cylinder coupe for the North American market.
This material may not be revealed, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. Quotes displayed in real-time or delayed by at least quarter-hour. Tight inside, heavier than the final Z car, too much road noise. The 370Z Roadster is a recognizable velocity demon on the road, and is outfitted with everything you have to lead the pack in luxury and elegance.
It has a three.8L V6 turbocharged engine that may produce up to seven-hundred horsepower. It is a second-generation 2 seater sports car with monumental engine energy. It can produce 300 horsepower that's excess of the older era. The entry of 24 Hours Of Le Man to the sports car market surprised individuals. It was designed in such a method that its body didn’t have any impact on its speed. Nissan also launched its competitor in 1997 under the name, ” R-390 GT-1 “.
I recently had the possibility to sit in its driver’s seat for lots of of miles on highways and twisting backroads. The new Z proved to be a surprisingly likable long-term companion offering genuine comfort on the lengthy, boring stretches but excitement when the street invited it. There was no such problem in the 2023 Sport model with the handbook gearbox, which responded to clutch-dropping acceleration runs with a easy rush of torque. Nissan hasn’t quoted numbers yet, however my butt tells me that the new Z ought to hit 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds.
The inside feels, except for an absence of adjustable lumbar assist, pleasantly fashionable with out lots of in-your-face gimmicks. The turbocharged engine delivers power like a steamroller in comparability with the 370Z’s naturally aspirated V6 and its easy, deep voice is kind of too refined for a Z. Don't fear, I’m sure the Dom Torettos of the true world will discover a method to crank it up. The 2023 Nissan Z is a rolling tribute to the legendary sports car model line, says Fox News Autos Editor Gary Gastelu. Of course, the best factor about the 2023 Nissan Z is that you just don’t need to spend $50,000 on it should you don’t wish to.
Subaru unveiled its BRZ model in July 2021 (starting from about ¥3.1 million JPY or $27,000 USD). With sports cars and other models concentrating on a variety of individuals, Japan’s car makers should also reply to the global acceleration towards decarbonization. The authentic nissan sports car models 240Z was introduced by what was then Datsun in 1969. It stunned the world, because complacent international automakers hadn’t expected such a cool car to return out of Japan.
Although the Nissan GTR not carries the "Skyline" name, it has its heritage within the Skyline range. The conventional straight-6 "RB26DETT" engine has been replaced with a new V6 "VR38DETT". And the "HICAS" four-wheel-steering system utilized in earlier models has been removed. It is hard to get excited about nissan sports car models the current Nissan lineup should you're a fan of this site. The current automobiles and SUVs are all respectable but they don't seem to be iconic or the sorts of cars readers of supercars.net get amped about.
