Boromir smiled.

This makes me so emotional. Aragorn comforting a companion in his deathbed, knowing exactly what to say. Boromir dying with a smile on his lips.

But also, if “Minas Tirith shall not fall” is a comfort and a promise, I do believe Aragorn means it very deeply when he says he has conquered a victory few have gained. Boromir was tempted by the Ring. He was tempted, and he fell for it, and he saw the error of his ways and came back from it. Not many people have managed to do that.

Boromir the Strong indeed.

When the ship pulled into Hawaii they were greeted by Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku (birth name Duke) considered the father of modern surfing. Duke was also an Olympic Gold medalist in swimming participating in the 1912, 1920 and 1924 Olympics.
