What's going on in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem? a timeline
Background
700s-1920s: Armenian Christians immigrate to Palestine, at first due to the holy sites there and later (after 1915) fleeing the Armenian genocide. Most of them end up living in a section of Jerusalem known as the Armenian Quarter. An Armenian church / Patriarchate is established that has authority over Armenian Apostolic Christians everywhere.
1923-1947: Britain (who had been given the "mandate," aka direct governmental control, of Palestine by other European colonial powers), empowers Patriarchates in Jerusalem (church leadership) to do things like select their own leaders and sell land without oversight from their communities. This gives Britain more authority and prevents regular Palestinian people from knowing what's going on when it comes to church business including secret real estate deals.
2005-2019: Land in Jerusalem belonging to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate is sliced up, sold, and developed despite attempts to fight it in Israeli courts.
July 2021: The Armenian Patriarchate makes a deal leasing 2.7 acres of land to real estate / development company Xana Gardens (based in Dubai and owned by Israeli businessman Danny Rothman) for between 49 and 98 years. The deal is made without proper oversight and approval, including from within the Patriarchate.
The land in question includes the historical Cows' Garden (Hadiqa al-Baqar / حديقة البقر), now a parking lot; part of a church school; a garden; and five family houses. It makes up about 1/4 of the total land in the Armenian Quarter. No one knows that more than just Cows' Garden is affected.
Xana Gardens wants to build a luxury hotel on some of this land, including Cow's Garden.
Events in 2023
May: Details of the nature of the real estate deal come out. The government of Jordan (I think? these news reports are written in the passive voice) and Armenian institutions try to contact the Patriarchate to express concern about the handling of historically significant sites. The Patriarch does not respond.
11 May: Jordan and Palestine suspend their recognition of Patriarch Nourhan Manougian.
26 October: The Patriarchate announces that it has contacted Xana Gardens to cancel the deal. Xana Gardens does not respond.
Later on 26 October (around 3pm): Israeli bulldozers arrive at Cows' Garden and start tearing up pavement and demolishing a wall. Armenians rush to stand in front of bulldozers and prevent further destruction.
5 November: Rothman and other representatives of Xana Gardens arrive with 15 settlers and tell local Armenians that the land is theirs and they need to leave. Some of the settlers have guns and leashed dogs. About 200 Armenian Palestinians arrive and force the settlers to stand down.
12 and 13 November: Xana Gardens sends bulldozers to Cows' Garden. They do not have necessary permits. Armenians set up constantly rotating vigils at the Gardens and make barricades with pieces of metal and their cars.
15 November, 4:30pm: Israeli settlers drive a convoy of cars into the Garden. Armenians gather around the barricades. The police back the settlers and arrest three Armenians, including one child.
28th December: 30+ settlers attack a group of Armenian bishops, priests, deacons, and seminary students (including Bishop Koryoun Baghdasaryan, the director of the Patriarchate's real estate department) with sticks and nerve agents / tear gas, injuring several.
28th December, later: The Patriarchate releases a statement attributing the attack to Xana Gardens. The development company does not want the Patriarchate to continue trying to reverse the deal through the court system.

If Cora was Stiles' age, wouldn't she have been in his grade before the fire? He knew of Derek and the Hale family but it just seems like Cora was written in last minute.
on this episode of heather versus the teen wolf timeline: cora hale.
here is what the timeline establishes:
all of season 1-3B takes place in 2011.
the hale fire was six years prior to the start of wolf moon. stiles is speaking hyperbolically when he says it was 10 years ago. we know it was six from what derek tells scott in magic bullet.
derek: six years ago, my sister and I were at school, and our house caught fire.
it's established that cora was 11 at the time of the hale fire in 2005. this comes from frayed during her and peter's conversation.
cora: you've known me for seventeen years!
peter: i knew you for eleven, leaving the last six unaccounted for. and i'm not particularly fond of things unaccounted.
she's 17 in visionary.
visionary takes place during the fall 2011 semester of the main pack's junior year.
in comparison to the others:
allison turned 17 in the tell which takes place at the end of january 2011. allison says she was held back due to all the moving around. she's the oldest in their cohort.
lydia turned 17 on march 19th in party guessed during season 2 on the worm moon. we know it was her 17th birthday due to the conversation lydia and natalie have about lorraine's ashes in time of death in season 4 which takes place during the spring semester 2012 of lydia's junior year.
natalie: because she wanted you to do it... when you turned eighteen. don't ask me why. but, since there's only a few weeks 'til that, i suppose now is as good a time as any.
stiles would've turned 17 in april according to his official birthday of april 8th.
scott didn't turn 17 until september as is official birthday is september 16th.
malia turned 17 on november 28th making her the youngest of their cohort.
other odds and ends:
theo was in the fourth grade with stiles and scott making him their age. his birthdate is incorrectly listed as 1998.
jackson was born june 5th so he turned 17 between seasons 2 and 3A.
malia was 9 years old at the time of the car accident that killed her mother and sister which puts it in 2003. 2 years before the hale fire.
now while we can acknowledge the real reasons why cora's timeline is so shaky is because they winged a lot of it but what's the fun in that? here on buckybarness dot tumblr dot com we do teen wolf academia.
now one does wonder how scott, stiles, lydia and isaac didn't know cora but there could be viable reasons for that.
i discovered that the law changed in california in 2000 to raise the kindergarten enrollment age to 5 years old by september 1st. prior to this if a child turned 5 on or before december 2nd they could enroll.
they all would've started kindergarten in 1999.
this might be why scott and malia are in the same school year as lydia and stiles rather than being in the year behind.
if they'd had the foresight they should've had allison turn 18 in season 1 and have her a legitimate full year older than the rest because like she's only 3 months older than lydia so it seems a bit odd she's so embarrassed by turning 17 when she has a birthday so close to lydia and stiles. for someone turning 18 and being a sophomore due to being held back? that'd be embarrassing to someone in the american school system.
now cora could've been born in late 1993 to early-mid 1994. she could've been a grade ahead if she was closer in age to allison than to scott. i do strongly suspect that talia and corrine had overlapping pregnancies and being pregnant at the time is one of the reasons talia coerced corrine into keeping her pregnancy with malia.
the tates could've had malia start school later than the rest because she would've been 4 at the start of the year rather than 5 even if the law at the time allowed it. she just joined the rest as juniors when she returned to society because it made sense to keep her with the friends she'd made and she was 17.
if cora was in the grade above she could've been in middle school while the others were still in elementary school or maybe both malia and cora attended different schools due to zoning.
maybe they were homeschooled.
we'll never really know but it's interesting to think about.

Next Gen Trio
I never see this version of a next gen trio but they have always been mine so here is a characterisation that no one asked for.
These three grew up like siblings. Since they were born just within in a month there was truly no world where they wouldn't become inseparable.
I have also written like 3 one shots for them :)

Rose Granger-Weasley
Birthday: November 16th 2005
House: Gryffindor
She's the irresponsible mom of the group who will most definitely get you out of trouble after getting you into it.
She'd rather die than turn in an assignment late and will humble you while checking your essays. In general she is the kind to not have to try too hard to get decent grades but she'll hustle to get excellent ones.
Loves Quidditch and plays as Chaser. As a kid she always dared James to a race, beating him quite a few times despite being 2 years younger than him.
She is more of an extrovert that gets into a fair amount of parties. Socialising comes easy to her and she loves small talk.
Very judgy and petty at times. Loves to argue, but takes a while to see when she was wrong. She'll most likely never apologise first.
In the trio, she's the oldest (barely) and has to make sure people know so. She'd do anything for the other two while also verbally dragging them whenever she gets the chance (in a fun way ofc)
Albus *redacted* Potter
Birthday: November 28th 2005
House: Slytherin
He's the introvert in a family full of extroverts and this trio is no exception. He has to be dragged everywhere and always puts up a fight even though he secretly doesn't mind.
He doesn't care too much about school, but loves Potions and Charms. His grades are fine, but Rose is convinced he would be top of his class if he just tried a little.
He hated being sorted into Slytherin until he found it wasn't at all what he had convinced himself it was. He has found a few friends and gets along with a lot of people.
He tolerates those he doesn't like and just tries to ignore comments that get thrown at him on the daily. Though some of them hurt him more than he'd like to admit.
He's an expert at keeping things to himself causing things to explode when he does say what's bothering him. He also apologises for everything and everyone even when he really shouldn't have to.
In the trio he's the certified middle child who has the ability to ground the other two by playing peace maker. Whenever there is a Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Quidditch match he makes sure to where the colours for both teams.
Louis Weasley
Birthday: December 10th 2005
House: Hufflepuff
An absolute menace to society with a golden retriever energy. He cares a lot about the little things and not enough about the big ones. Including grades.
He's the kindest and most loyal person who's had a crush on the same girl since first year. He will mot give up and is convinced the universe will work it out for him.
Loves to play Quidditch, especially against Rose.
Everyone is convinced there's not a single thing that could ruin his mood because he radiates positive energy.
Sometimes he likes to mess with people and will use his Veela powers to get his way. Which he knows is toxic but he calls it "God's will".
He's a bit cocky (it's giving jock) and doesn't think before he speaks. Though he means well he comes across as too much sometimes, which scares people away.
In the trio he is the instigator who will propose a plan and then won't accept a no. He's also the hugger of the trio, much to the disliking of his companions.

The Cyberchase Homepage Through the Years: part 2 (January 6, 2005 through February 10, 2007)
I decided to pick up where I left off on my earlier post documenting the Cyberchase homepage over the years. Here is a capture from January 6th, 2005. The page is now back to normal after Starlight Night 2004. We now have an advertisement for "Cyberchase: The Quest".
On January 30th, 2005, we got the Valentines Day design again. Cyberchase had wrapped Season 3 in December of 2004, and they wouldn't start airing Season 4 until April, so I suppose they didn't have anything new to promote just yet. I only just noticed that Matt is holding a flower as part of this artwork. I'm a bit surprised that neither of the girls are holding anything.
They went back to advertising Cyberchase: The Quest by February 20, 2005.
On April 6th, 2005, Digit started advertising "Know Your Dough", which was all about teaching children about money management.
This capture from June 28th, 2005 shows an advertisement for "Quest 2: Race for Radopolis".
On July 21, 2005, we got this promotion for Hacker's secret.
This was referring to the main part of the "Transformatron Story Arc", as it discussed the four episodes where The Hacker was assembling the Transformatron. This was also where Slider was reunited with his dad.

I may do a separate post talking about the promotional content, as it is no longer on the PBS Kids website, but I have recovered most of it for the FlashPoint Archive Project. Unfortunately, that video preview was in RealPlayer, and those files are lost now. But, the rest of it is now preserved.
By August 7th, 2005, the "Hacker's Secret" promotion was gone. At that point they didn't have any advertisement in the bottom right corner. Fun fact, the file names refer to this bottom-right-corner advertisement as a "bug", regardless of what was being advertised. This would have been in reference to bottom-right-corner station IDs that you would see on television channels.
I found a capture from September 30th, 2005 where they re-worked the page. The background is the same, but they've added new screens, kicked out Buzz and Delete, and now we get a count-down for new episodes, which are given a more prominent place. There is also a mention of a contest for 2005. It looks like another Intel partnership where winners would get laptop computers, similar to the 2004 contest. I need to dig around and see what can be retrieved from that and make a separate post.
It's October 13th, 2005, and we get a Halloween version of the site. It looks like they just recycled it from last year. It is a bit of a shame, as I liked the new screen arrangement.
And then, when November 2nd, 2005 rolled around, we are back to the advertisement for Cyberchase: The Quest.
Here we see a capture from December 5th, 2005, and its a little bit confusing. The kids are all dressed up in their winter wear, and we have Cybersite Penguia as our backdrop. It looks nice until you start thinking about it.
At first, I thought the kids had lugged the terminals and computer screens out there for this winter photoshoot. But then I saw the whole-ass balcony was also out there. How would they get that all that way to Penguia? Portal? Why would Motherboard agree to that? Was she in a particularly silly mood? And why were Buzz and Delete invited to this photoshoot? I think this is a Star Trek Holodeck type of situation where they haven't left the original room, and they are just simulating Penguia.
And now, we have this capture from December 10th, 2005, where Bianca makes a cameo to announce the winners of the 2005 contest. I don't think the kids have noticed her yet. Otherwise, they would be very surprised.
And now, it is January 18th, 2006, and we get a promotion for Cyberchase Super Science coming in 12 days. I don't remember what this was off the top of my head.
It is now February 2nd, 2006. The winter theme is gone, and the screens have been shifted around again to advertise "Cyberchase: The Quest 3" (the top left Cyber-beast), and "Cyberchase Super Science".
This was an initiative that focused on kids designing, creating, and customizing things. This is something else that I need to make a separate post on at some point, depending on what I am able to recover. I can see that we have a link to "Cyberspace News Issue #3", which is a little confusing. The "Hacker's Secret" promotion gave us an un-numbered issue of "Cyberspace News", which I assume was Issue #1. I don't remember seeing an issue #2 anywhere. I need to look into that.
This capture from April 10th, 2006, shows the "Know Your Dough" advertisement has returned. Maybe the kids spent too much money on the screens and needed a refresher.
An June 15th, 2006, we get a promotion for "My Cyberchase Summer", pushing aside the Cyberchase Super Science promotion. This new promotion does feature The Hacker, and he would do something like that. This section had a list of the different episodes that were going to air during the summer of 2006, and they included activities to go along with them. Maybe I'll make a separate post all about this section later.
It is now September 25, 2006. They finally kicked The Hacker off the screen and replaced him with a promotion for "My Big Idea".
This was an initiative where parents could submit videos of their children working on inventions. This page talks about the invention videos being put up on the website and potentially aired on TV. The TV airing would have been part of "Cyberchase: My Big Idea", which was a two-hour special hosted by Harry and Bianca. The special used four episodes aired in a row, and Harry and Bianca would show up in-between them to talk about inventions and show the clips of the kids. I need to see if this is still around somewhere.
Here we go. It is October 23rd, 2006, and the site has had a major redesign. They had been serving Flash games for years now, but now the homepage interface is all Flash. Additionally, the kids get idle animations. I can post a still image, but that can only show so much when the whole point is that the site is full of animations now. This particular page is advertising the new episodes coming in February, the character gallery where they put artwork submitted by viewers, a Starlight Night theme, and an advertisement for "Cyberchase: The Quest.
Delete shows up if you click on this door.
Uh oh! Buzz and The Hacker have gotten into wherever this place is. If we don't count The Hacker appearing on a screen or advertising bug, I think this is the first time The Hacker has shown up "for real" on the homepage. Maybe the Cybersquad should do something about that.
Hey, I just wanted to point out that it is February 2nd, 2007, and the kids haven't taken down their Starlight decorations yet.

For a show that revolves around the lunar cycle, no one did any research. It's easy to google. I know it's a fictional show where anything can happen and I think I'm the only person this really bothers, but I'm still going to complain about it.
Everything is so jumbled in this show, if I miss a full moon, let me know and I'll add my two cents.
Here is my source.
Season 1
According to TW (ATTW): The wolf moon is right after school starts for the semester. It's on a Friday.
Reality: The wolf moon was January 19th. It was a Wednesday.
ATTW: The snow moon was sometime after February 7th since that is when "Night School" took place and the full moon was in "Lunatic." February 7th was a Wednesday since the radio DJ said the school was closed Thursday and Friday and today is Monday, so the 12th.

ATTW: There is a full moon in "Shape Shifted."
Reality: This would not be possible since there is very little space between the last and the next full moon.
ATTW: The worm moon is on Lydia's birthday.
Reality: This would make Lydia's birthday March 19th. It was a Saturday.
Season 3
ATTW: The sturgeon moon took place during "Chaos Rising" and "Fireflies."
Reality: This would have been August 13th and 14th. I have reason to believe it was August since California schools typically start then. The 13th and 14th was Saturday and Sunday, despite the fact there was school during both episodes.
ATTW: In "The Girl Who Knew Too Much" Allison says this, "So it's my fault that you've been lying to me for the past two months?" Placing the rest of 3A in October. And during "Lunar Ellipse" there was a lunar eclipse.
Reality: The hunter's moon was October 11th. The only total lunar eclipses in 2011 were in June and December. And no partial solar eclipses were in October, either.
ATTW: The news article about Malia says the accident took place on September 17, 2005.
Reality: The harvest moon was September 18th.
Season 4
ATTW: The wolf moon takes place shortly after Liam is bitten ("Muted" and "The Benefactor"). The full moon is also seen in "117" when Kate loses control at the gas station.
Reality: The wolf moon was January 9th. It was a Monday, which doesn't make sense since the previous episode (when Liam was bit) they had been at school. It could not have been in "117" and "The Benefactor." You could argue "117" wasn't the full moon and Kate was just struggling, but she has no problem shifting into the werejaguar at will in "The Divine Move."
Season 5
ATTW: Scott chains up Liam because he's having trouble with the full moon. This is also the day right before school starts.
Reality: There were two full moons in August 2012. The sturgeon moon was August 1st and was a Wednesday. Perhaps a little early for school to start, but not totally impossible. The blue moon was August 31st and was a Friday. We can likely rule this one out as the beginning of season five.
ATTW: At the end of 5A, they reference the super moon.
Reality: The only super moon in 2012 was in May.
I'm not sure when the end of 5A is, but the following full moons include Saturday September 29th, Monday October 29th, Wednesday November 28th, and Friday December 28th. I doubt 5A lasted from early August to anything later than October.
Season 6
ATTW: In "After Images" Brett and Lori die and Liam is exposed as a werewolf on the full moon.
Reality: This date is likely Tuesday August 20th.

Trying to figure out Pacific Tech semester schedule
Okay so, we know that Pac Tech is largely based on Cal Tech, which uses a three semester schedule and the movie takes place between winter break(Mid-December to early January) and June 27th when they test the laser and Hathaway loses his house to popcorn
Now, I found the academic calendar for Cal Tech's 2005-6 (1984 started on a Sunday, so did 2006) and it's roughly layed out like
First Term
Sept 19-23 New Student Orientation
Sept 26 Beginning of instruction
Dec 7-9 Final examinations, first term
Dec 9 End of first term
Dec 10-Jan 3 Winter recess
Second Term
January 4 Beginning of instruction
March 15-17 Final examinations, second term
March 18 End of second term
March 19-26 Spring recess
Third Term
March 27 Beginning of instruction
June 7-9 Final examinations for undergraduates, third term
June 10 End of third term
Summer Term
June 12 Summer term begins
September 1 Summer term ends
Now we only see the students taking one final and no midterm which I always found weird, so that means that Pac Tech is probably following a two semester schedule. Also, we know from the script that Chris and Mitch have their breakthrough on the last day of finals and that the test of the laser occurs on the 27th of June and isn't long after the breakthrough.
So, Spring semester in Pac Tech is probably from Jan 4 - Jun 28th, which lasts for 26 weeks or 18 days over Cal Tech, jegus crust
I'm guessing that their Fall semester is about 23 weeks long, Cal Tech is 13 weeks, would be from Jul 12 - Dec 20
Which means that a Cal Tech student is in school for 36 weeks and a Pac Tech student is in school for 49 weeks, over a four-year span means an extra 52 weeks, which explains how they shoved a five-year undergrad + masters program into a four-year college. Bc there is no way that Hathaway's team is a bunch of undergrads at the level of research they're doing

“It’s that actually her?”
Hello. I am writeing this late at night around 11:30pm.. I am scared and unsure what to do. It’s been a year since the things that I will explain have happened.
I’ve been stressing out and picking at my skin because of this. It all started on march 22ed 2021 when I met a young girl named Hannah.. she was kind and charming when we meet. She had a sweet smile and a funny laugh we met at a con that we had gone to and we instantly hit it off and became good friends like I said before she was sweet and charming however as time went along she became more and more odd, she was no longer the funny awesome Hannah I had met at the con she was cold dry and sometimes manipulative. I knew something was off about her and I wanted to leave but she was a good friend and I have gotten attached to her at this point on December 28th we had a sleepover together because I could feel us drifting apart and I really missed her so we hung out the whole day, through out the day I noticed she was reckless and had little to no care for the people around her offen breaking thing like a part of a swingest or a few things in a store. The Hannah I remembered was almost so much more different and annoying now and kinda scary.. later on in the day she became more normal and calm eventually when it came to the sleeping over part she was almost sad looking as she smiled softly and told me good night. She slept on the floor next to my bed, I don’t think she actually slept though because later on in the night I could hear her moving around.. I brushed it off as her just getting water however.. later in the morning I woke up to see she was gone.. after I realised she was gone I realised that there where small jabs in my arm, as if someone had taken my blood. I slowly sat up from my bed to see a note left from Hannah.. the note said: “dear Garrett. Enjoy the next 3 months of your life since they’re gonna be the last, thanks for trusting me so well even when you realised how bitchy I became after the nice first 3 months of being friends, I am sorry for what I will do to you will actually I’m not sorry. That’s such a Hannah thing to say. I would be sorry if I was really Hannah.” That last part of the note was what worried me the most. Who had Hannah became.. or what was pretending to be Hannah. I’ve spent the last 2 months panicking and crying because it turns out that the bitch that I spent a year being friends with was most likely a shell of a sweet girl who I truely only knew for 3 months.. I did some googling recently and found out that Hannah was probably killed with a drug or murdered with a weapon after having blood stolen by some witch like monster that is mostly called a “blood snatcher” or a “replacement of loved ones” that steals the blood and kill a family member’s (normally a easy to manipulate teenager) and drinks there blood to take there place as a human in that family so they can eat the rest of the family and then spread to another family, for the last 3 months of most targets the victims experience hallucinations, aggressive behaviour, tiredness and stress before they die and are then dragged of to a near by forest or something.. it’s now February 1st I feel sick today and I’ve been more stressed.. I keep hearing Hannah’s old sweat laugh and seeing things in the comer of my eye. I think it’s here to take my place now.

CANON TIMELINE. (* for rp purposes, the timeline is modernized and set in present day. this is just how it occurs in canon.)
1976 - Noah Ripley is born November 9th.
1977 - Joey Hall is born January 14th. Lizzie Hayworth is born September 3rd.
1978 - Carter Stanheight is born June 18th.
1986 - Noah is cast in the television series 'Pleasant Road'.
1990 - Pleasant Road concludes its run. Marcie Noble is born July 13th.
1993 - Carter adopts the stage name ‘Harte’. Carter, Noah, and Lizzie meet on the set of ‘Middlebrook'. Middlebrook airs its first episode.
1995 - Lizzie leaves to attend college in New York.
1998 - Carter meets and begins a relationship with Joey.
1999 - Noah is demoted from series regular to recurring on Middlebrook as he leaves to pursue more dramatic roles. Middlebrook’s ratings tank. Lizzie graduates college, changes her surname to ‘Madden’, and cuts ties with her father.
2000 - Middlebrook airs its series finale.
2002 - Noah and Lizzie meet again as adults on the set of the film ‘Primeval’ and begin a relationship.
2003 - Noah dies on December 28th.
2004 - Marcie officially retires from acting.
2005 - Carter and Joey adopt their son, named after Noah.
2007 - Marcie graduates high school, Carter attends the ceremony.

TK might be short in stature but he is huge in personality. Fiercely competitive on and off the track, he is also friends with just about everyone. He’s like a favorite crazy uncle, a mischievous prankster yet willing to dispense the wisdom gathered from decades of racing to anyone who needs it. More fit than men more than half his age, he is an avid sportsman, competing in Ironman competitions, marathons and biking competitions. (Don’t touch his bike. Ever. Ask Dario about that.) He also is a big Sim racer, with his own line of Sim rigs, and a ‘hidden’ lair in his house containing two top of the line rigs.
A member of the Indycar ‘Brat pack’ of the late 1990’s. Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti, Max Papis and Greg Moore. Their off track antics were legendary as were their results on the track. TK is the last of that group still racing, with Greg Moore lost in 1999, and Dario and Max long since retired. The 2023 Indy 500 is his last ride.
TK and Dario went on to form a new pack of sorts with Bryan Herta, Scott Dixon, and Dan Wheldon, later adding Marco Andretti as a sort of little brother.
