Thank you so much for your thorough response. I'm not always good at following production companies. Please ignore this if I'm overstepping, I've already asked for a lot of your time and research, but other than 9naa are there other companies you boycott because of how they treat actors? I know there were some issues with 2moons and I know there were some issues for Saint, though those were long before my time in the fandom.

That's completely understandable. There's so many companies now that do BL - some of them aren't even primarily into entertainment (a skincare company did The Promise, and I think there's at least one car dealership delving into BL things now too, while other companies are purely for investment and why would you even follow those if they're only about money?).

I'm trying to stay up-to-date because I'm interested in the industry side of things but I probably missed a lot of stuff as well.

Here's what I know for sure:

Motive Village

Motive Village did 2Moons. Then they did 2Moons2 with the same characters (and story!) but all different actors. THEN they did 2Moons: The Ambassador with (some of) the same characters (and story) and different actors again.

Why did they do that? Probably because they're so bad at managing their actors that they're all collectively running away as soon as possible. But that's not even the worst part. One of the actors from 2Moons2, Din Teerapat (then known as Earth Teerapat), was actively excluded and blocked from all promotion while being completely trapped in his contract. Other actors weren't paid and were badly mismanaged. Then there's very serious allegations that Din might have been (I'm phrasing this as carefully as possible) harrassed by one of MV's higher-ups. Din never spoke about it and has since decided to move on.

Aam Anusorn, who directed 2Moons2 (and isn't related to MV in any way) has spoken up about this, and his series Call It What You Want is supposedly based on some of what happened.

Other actors who "escaped" MV include Bas Suradej, Copter Panuwat, Kimmon Warudom (who went on to sign with Star Hunter for a while and did the very delightful Gen Y which is basically 2Moons fanfiction), Tae Darvid & Tee Thanapon (who did Triage), Boun Noppanut (who was never with MV but wasn't paid for his guest role in 2Moons), Joong Archen, Pavel Naret, Benjamin Brasier & Dome Woranart. The latest escapee seems to be Park Anandatej who will be in Monster next Door.

Benjamin Brasier and Dome Woranart seem to be back to working with Motive Village recently and I'm honestly a bit ?? ??? about it.

Y.Entertainment

Y.Ent did Unforgotten Night and For Him the Series. Recently, the leads of For Him, Tor Atagorn and Dew Nitikorn (along with Yoon Phusanu who starred in Unforgotten Night and had a cut guest role in For Him), have come forward saying that they were never paid for their work in For Him. Additionally, Tor has opened up about being continuously harrassed and stalked by someone on and off set during filming. It affected him so badly that he is now in therapy and on medication for depression and anxiety.

Just yesterday Yoon Phusanu held a press conference because he still hasn't been paid. He's one of the few actors who actually have the means to hire lawyers and go against his company. His lawyer has stated that not many young actors in Thai BL can afford to do the same.

9NAA

9NAA did Check Out, Venus in the Sky and, most recently, Kiseki Chapter 2. You know about 9NAA already but for everyone else reading this and wanting to know what's going on with them, here's a short summary.

Here's some other companies involved in Thai BL who have done some mildly questionable things:

Maximon who have since rebranded as Harikarn (with another company now named Maximon that might also have been emerged from the original Maximon... it's complicated) might have not paid their actors for Chains of Heart until the series had long finished airing. Haii Sarunsathorn and Boom Raweewit, the leads, made some very carefully worded joke tweets about it - which kind of makes you go hmmmm. There was also a freelancer who spoke up about not getting paid for his art, but nothing more ever came of it. Both Maximon and Harikarn have since ramped up production again - with some of the same actors - so I'm not especially concerned for the moment.

Well.Thailand recently annouced a bunch of new BLs and then promptly went bancrupt. One of their former producers immediately picked up the slack and founded EntSync in order to take over all projects and talent. They've already held the blessing ceremony for Black Forest and everything seems to be back to normal for the moment except for Born to be Y the series which should have aired this month but has since been indefinitely postponed.

Fix Entertainment is behind The Whisperer and is holding the series' final episode hostage because apparently a planned fanmeeting didn't sell enough tickets so they seem to have run out of funds. This is very ?? ???

Studio on Fire recently announced that one of the leads of their upcoming series Live in Love will be replaced, citing creative differences and "different work attitudes" (hate that phrase yet?) as the reason. Weirdly enough, said lead (Non Ratchanon) is from another company and was part of an acting pair with their own actor Hearth Chindanai. Hmmmmmm.*

*This kind of reminds me of what happened with Saint Suppapong during and after Love By Chance when he was basically almost bullied out of the industry because he wasn't with the same company as all of the other actors.

As I said, there's probably more but I didn't include actor scandals, unfounded rumours or stuff that has already been resolved.

“Uh, P’Kit,” he heard Ming say behind him, but Kit continued to focus on what he was doing, ignoring Ming for the time being. They weren’t really fighting per se - but Ming was being his typical annoying (adorable) self and Kit had turned away to focus on what he was doing in preparing dinner for the evening. Whatever it was that Ming wanted to show him that would stop him from finding Ming so insufferable could wait. Kit didn’t want to see it. However, a few seconds later Kit realized that there was a stillness to the room that there hadn’t been before. Ming was no longer shifting around doing… whatever it was he’d been doing, which made Kit slowly turn to see what Ming was up to. “I think I messed up.”

Kit sighed heavily and almost started to roll his eyes but then he realized that Ming was holding a dishrag to his hand that had red on it that he knew didn’t belong to the pattern. “Oh shit, you’re bleeding,” he breathed out the words as he set aside the knife in his hand to close the small distance between them so that he could carefully move the towel Ming was using so that he could see the damage that was done and determine whether or not Ming was going to need stitches. His brow furrowed in concern as he re-covered the injury and applied pressure to it since he could not really see it due to the bleeding, already making plans to get Ming out to the car downstairs in the parking lot if it did not stop within the next couple of minutes.

“Dr. Kit shouldn’t swear like that in front of the patient,” said Ming, making the concerned expression on Kit’s face shift to the familiar one of annoyance that he made when he was trying his hardest not to find Ming adorable - it was okay though because he knew the truth. “Well, doctor, how bad is it? Am I going to live?”

“Yes, you’re going to live, idiot,” Kit sighed through the words as he reached up to push at the side of Ming’s head. It only made Ming smile at him and Kit shook his head before checking the wound again. Since the bleeding seemed to have stopped, Kit was able to clean the small wound and use the first aid kit underneath the sink to bandage it up. “You’re no longer allowed to use the knives.”

“Does that mean P’Kit is going to cook dinner for me every day?” Ming’s expression was one that was almost pleading and Kit could not keep himself from letting out a startled laugh at the question. He hadn’t really expected it, though knowing Ming he truly should have.

Instead of answering, Kit simply shook his head and pushed Ming out of the kitchen while telling him to go sit somewhere. “And don’t do something like that again,” he admonished, trying his hardest not to let a small smile show through when Ming smiled in that dopey way of his that Kit could not help but find adorable no matter how hard he tried to be annoyed by it.

2Moons2 - Episode 11

Still cackling!

Because of Ming’s: “It’s almost the same, he’s just a bit less mad.” XD Even tho I missed Kit in this episode I loved, as always, the Ming & Wayo friendship because if Wayo ever calls Ming and says he murdered someone Ming will reply: “I’m at your place with a shovel in ten minutes.”

I loved that ForthBeam entered the awkward phase of their relationship, it’s so entertaining and did Phoom asked all his gym buddy friends to be co-actors? What’s with all those beefy engineer students? 

Beam is so petty I love it and gosh can Wayo and Phana get their act together? This whole jealous storyline is boring omg BUT I JUST REMEMBERED XD THEY HAD BEEN TOO LOUD *CACKLING* 

Every time Wayo says P’Pha in a scandalized voice it ads 10 years to my life. 

Next week we’ll see Kit again, YAS!!, and some cute-ass MingKit interaction. Is this PSA I spy there OMG is that growth? OMG!

I hope the final episode will be a good one and hopefully *fingers crossed* they will announce 2Moons3 because I need my monthly dose of dumb gays who are cute and soft to each other.

I Still Need You

I can’t stop. I won’t stop. I’m on Youtube just letting videos play. A ForthBeam fanvideo came on. It pained me that there wasn’t more about Beam. After that scene where he is in class and the teacher is lecturing about depression, I wanted more of his story/character. Especially since right after that class Beam shut down, put headphones in his ears to listen to music and tune out the world. It took the teacher several tries to get his attention, but then, of course, that’s just a momentary bout. He can focus his attention to mechanically function and do what’s asked of him. Cue the scene where Forth uses his juniors to court Beam. Though, that wouldn’t necessarily take away or “cure” the depression. I never want to call Forth “a cure,” but he certainly would become the one to help guide Beam through it, without entirely latching onto him, if that makes sense. Just enough emotional support to help each passing moment... 

Forth tried the door. It surprised him to find it unlocked. Beam hadn’t been answering phone calls, texts, LINE messages. He’d gone entirely mute. Forth was worried now. Beam wasn’t studying at the desk, wasn’t lying in bed. He stepped towards the bathroom and heard the shower running. A devilish grin spread across his face as his hand found the doorknob. It was locked. 

He banged on the door. “Beam! Why’d you lock it again?” There was no beating around the bush. Forth learned after a while that Beam was prone to bouts of depression. Sometimes, that depression kicked him in the ass, quite literally knocked him down. Forth hated it when the bathroom door became locked because of it. That scared him. This time Beam will open that door. 

Forth banged on the door again. “Beam! Open up. I know you can hear me.” An image of what could be happening behind the closed door popped into his head. Beam just sitting under the shower head, probably fully clothed, getting drenched. “Fine, I’ll sit here until you open the door.” Forth slumped to the floor against the bathroom door. “It may not mean much to you right now, but I’m always here.” 

Beam could hear him perfectly fine through the door and over the running water. Forth had a loud and commanding voice. For just a moment Beam felt a smile tug at the corner of his lips. He didn’t understand this feeling. That numbness. He felt it a couple of times before. He’d tune out the world, usually put headphones in his ears and listen to music. This time that didn’t work. He resorted to this, to hope that the water from the shower could wash anything, just all of it down the drain. If only it were that easy. Forth spoke again. 

“Beam! Could you at least make it known that you’re alive in there?” 

With exhaustive effort, Beam reached for a shampoo bottle and chucked it at the closed door. Forth jumped a little. “Okay, that’s good. You and I suck at talking, but tonight we have to talk. You have to open that door.” 

He managed to croak out a response, “I can’t.” 

“You moved just now, threw something at the door, so why not stand up and let me in.” Beam didn’t respond. Forth tried a different tactic. “You’re wasting water, doc. Come on!” No response. He huffed. Forth grimaced when he banged his head a little too hard against the door. 

“Are you okay?” 

“It’s not me I’m worried about, Beam. Get up, open the door!” Forth accidentally slipped into his hazing voice. Bad idea right now.

“Stop telling me to do that.” 

“Fair enough,” Forth softened his voice again, realizing his mistake entirely. “I won’t say it anymore, but I will sleep here if I have to. If anything I urge you to turn the water off, especially if you’re thinking of falling asleep in there.” 

Fifteen minutes go by and Forth no longer hears running water. Progress. He lays his head against the door again. Fifteen more minutes went by and he was just about to fall asleep when the door opened. Forth fell backward, obviously, but propped himself on his elbows so he didn’t hit the floor. Beam awkwardly joined him there in the doorway. Forth leaned up and Beam laid his head against a shoulder. 

“Sorry,” Beam apologized. 

“What have I told you about that? You have nothing to be sorry for when this happens.” Forth closed his eyes. He desperately wished he could make the depression go away with the snap of his fingers. Suddenly, he realized that his clothes were getting wet. Beam was still drenched. “Get up. Come on,” Forth jumped to his feet, pulling Beam up with him. “You have got to get out of these wet clothes.” Beam looked down at himself. Oh, yeah, those were still there. 

Forth went to help him, but Beam refused. “Aoi, I got it.” A slighty confused Forth backed away, giving him full control. Beam stripped his clothes off and Forth grabbed him a towel. Forth stepped out of the bathroom to get him some clothes. While seeing Forth stand at the dresser, Beam couldn’t resist. He wrapped his arms around him. Anything with feeling would be nice. Argh, he hated that numbness. Forth turned in his arms and handed him his favorite plaid pajamas. Beam let the towel fall. Once dressed, Forth took his hand. He had to drag him because apparently Beam didn’t want to use his feet. Forth rolled his eyes, scooped him up and carried him to the bed. Beam said nothing as he watched Forth strip down to his boxers. 

“If you want to be lazy, let’s be lazy for the rest of the day in this bed. Forget the world, but remember Beam,” Forth crawled into bed beside him. “I will not let you do this alone.” Forth kissed his forehead and soon after that Beam fell asleep faster than he ever had before.

well basically Park has some crazy obsession with Yo and does everything to sabotage his relationship with Pha. it started out kind of harmless (not really but compared to what’s coming lol) and Yo even uses him to make Pha jealous when he was mad at him. though as the season continues the whole thing becomes hella toxic and he’s absolutely ruthless.... 

also as you said he’s just the creepiest dude ever. they really did an A+ job with the casting lol.
