I’m in the midst of a genuinely deranged SPN rewatch. I originally watched S1-11 in like two months in 2016 right as 11 finished airing. I watched 12 as it came out, and then 13 I binged like a year later but wasn’t totally entranced with. Then, cut to 2023, I decide I’m going to finish, watch 14 and 15 in like a week, and then start watching rewatching 4&5 very slowly with my husband while simultaneously catching up to that point by rewatching 2&3. I don’t rewatch S1 cause I don’t fucking like it. As we’re slowly trudging through 4&5, I’ve caught up to that point and decide I want to rewatch 11 cause I remember it being my favorite season and end up watching 12 too. Finally, we are done with 4&5. Husband stops watching, so I end up continuing on from that point and am now almost through S10, catching me up to the point mid way where I started, S11. I feel like I’m experiencing time like in Arrival (2016) by watching it this way. Would absolutely recommend everyone have the direct split screen comparison of S15 and S8-10. It’s absolutely unhinged. Seeing the purgatory relationship to widower arc to confession scene back to back????? Bro. If you don’t believe in destiel, you had best hope for forgiveness.

With November the 5th almost upon us, I have compiled my 13 most favorite Destiel episodes that you can binge on Destiel day/the month as a whole + honorable mentions. It happened to end up being 13 but it's perfect because it can represent The Mixtape. They're all in order.
Season 4, Episode 1. "Lazarus Rising"
You can't have a Destiel watch-a-thon without going back to the night they met! 4x1 is a must watch.
Season 4, Episode 7. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester"
In this episode, Cas pretty much begins to break the rules for Dean, and expresses to him that he has doubts. We have the iconic bench scene in this episode!
Season 4, Episode 16. "On the Head of a Pin" Cas says that his superiors think he's getting too close to Dean, and at the end of the episode, Dean and Cas have a heart to heart while Dean is in the hospital.
Season 4, Episode 22. "Lucifer Rising" The season 4 finale, and the point where Cas pretty much rebels entirely for Dean.
Season 5, Episode 3. "Free to Be You and Me"
A well known Destiel episode, this is a great bonding episode for Dean and Cas, and helps develop their friendship with one another.
Season 5, Episode 4. "The End" Another popular Destiel episode, Dean is taken 5 years into the future (2014) and meets the alternate future versions of himself and Cas, who I'm not alone in feeling like they were sleeping with each other.
Season 5, Episode 18. "The Point of No Return" This episode has some great interactions between Cas and Dean, and a lot of subtext.
Season 6, Episode 20. "The Man Who Would Be King"
A very popular episode amongst Destiel shippers, this episode was the episode that I, along with many others, were fully convinced of Destiel. One of my all time favorite SPN episodes, and greatly written, the focus is on Cas as he reveals what he's been up to the past year, and the episode where Dean is heartbroken to realize that Cas betrayed them.
Season 8, Episode 17. "Goodbye Stranger"
It's revealed that Cas has been being brainwashed by Naomi and unknowingly helping her. He is ordered to kill Dean, but his brainwashing breaks after Dean tells him that he needs him. (Which in the script was written as "I love you" instead of "I need you.")
Season 10, Episode 5. "Fanfiction" This episode isn't exactly a "Destiel Episode." Cas isn't even in it! It's a meta episode about a bunch of teenagers putting on an SPN play with their own interpretations of it, including Destiel, and even referencing it by name! A definite fan favorite, and one of my all time favorites. It's definitely a comfort episode of mine.
Season 12, Episode 10. "Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets" Throughout Season 12, there were many great Destiel moments, arguably some of the most out of any season. (They were opening the show up to the possibility of Destiel and were testing the waters while they did a market study.) I chose this episode to put on the list because this entire episode is basically one big parallel to Destiel, what more is there to say? SPN was especially insane for this one, and how blatant the parallels were. You can find many more s12 Destiel episodes, though.
Season 13, Episode 6. "Tombstone" The first episode after Cas is spit out of The Empty, Cas and Dean are on a hunt with Sam and Jack, and Dean and Cas dress up as cowboys. A pretty light hearted, fun episode where they all very much act like a family.
Season 15, Episode 18. "Despair" We all know what this one is. It's the reason why we celebrate November 5th, why I'm writing this. Destiel becomes (mostly) canon.
Honorable Mentions:
The Purgatory scenes from the beginning of Season 8. (Episodes 1-5.)
Way too much to add onto the main list, but some of the best and most intense Destiel scenes regardless. All they did was sacrifice themselves for each other there, with Cas leaving Dean to lead the monsters away from him, to Dean staying there for a year just to find his angel.
Season 8, Episode 7. "A Little Slice of Kevin" Cas comes back from Purgatory after Dean drives himself crazy thinking he's seeing Cas everywhere he looks, and the two have a heartfelt reunion.
Season 9, Episode 6. "Heaven Can't Wait" The first episode that Robert Berens, who wrote 15x18, wrote. A human Cas is working at a Gas-N-Sip when Dean comes to visit with him and work a case with him. Note that Misha was told to play Cas like a "jilted lover" towards Dean in this episode.
Parallels between Dean & Cas and Cain & Collette in Season 10. (Most predominantly in episodes 14 and 22. 14, where Dean and Cain have a showdown, and 22, where Dean beats up Cas badly, almost killing him before he makes himself stop.)
Season 15 certainly had a lot of Destiel (they knew what they were going to do with Cas in 15x18 at this point, and Misha played Cas as in love with Dean the entirety of s15) but two episodes besides 15x18 stand out to me:
Season 15, Episode 3. "The Rupture" Dean and Cas have been fighting and Dean has been very angry at Cas ever since Mary died. It finally comes to a head in this episode, and they pretty much "break up."
Season 15, Episode 9. "The Trap" Dean and Cas finally make up, and Dean forgives Cas. He falls to his knees crying while he prays to Cas for forgiveness and opens up to him more than he does to almost any other character.
There are many many more episodes I didn't mention, because there are just so many!! These are the episodes in my opinion that are important to Destiel and/or have a lot of good moments. Hope you enjoy this list!!

right now, just stranger things! I've been toying around with writing destiel again but if I did, it'd be anonymous. (after my entire portfolio was wiped from livejournal, I'm still in pain about it.)

yes! eventually! sometimes, it'll take me awhile because I just get backed up but I read them and smile and kick my feet, and even though it takes me a bit to reply, those comments are what keep me writing. <3

happy endings are guaranteed in this house, always. I'll never write an angsty ending-- canon hurts me enough. the most bittersweet ending though would have to be scar-crossed lovers.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
oooo, that's tough because they're all happy endings! but I think over the hills and far away because, by virtue of it being a long fic, the happy ending feels deserved. those two went through it to get to that ending which made it so satisfying to write!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I haven't, no, and I'm very grateful for that. but I'm also like, super liberal with the block function. we cultivate our spaces here, friends!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do, but only in the context of like, what else is happening in the fic. I just can't write pwp lmao, major kudos to everyone else who does it so well! I'm in awe of your talent perpetually.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I wrote a supernatural/charmed crossover au many, many years ago. but recently? kicks cracky supernatural/stranger things crossover au scrivener wip under the couch. nope.

not in this fandom!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
not that I know of, but that'd be super cool.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
not yet... but I have some plans. keep an eye out next year. 👀
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
steddie broke something in my brain, but destiel laid the path for it be broken to start with.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
liturgies & devotionals, unfortunately. or at least in its current existence in scrivener? it's a big undertaking but if I can make it less complicated, maybe it stands a chance.
16. What are your writing strengths?
not once have I been able to answer this and feel comfortable with it, but I do really enjoy the omniscent third person point of view and have gotten compliments on it. and narrative writing, I like setting the scene and developing introspection.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
there are several but god, fucking dialogue! it's my kryptonite. that, and actually ending a story. context disease is so real.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
the only other language I've ever used is a snippet of Klingon, but I'd also feel comfortable using bits of French because I know a good bit of French. anything else would just feel super inauthentic because idk what the fuck I'm saying.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
uh, it was around 2001 and it was for a fandom that I no longer associate with.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
to the surprise of no one: over the hills and far away <333 so much of me is in that fic and it was hugely healing.

hi! I saw your post about the why episode title change why 11 scenes cut why lamp etc etc and I know some of it but not all, and I was hoping you could elaborate on spngate— if it’s not too much trouble— or point me in a direction where I can join you in the spn gate?
I feel ashamed for HOW LONG i let this ask just rot in my askbox (it's from january, apparently, now it's april. i thought maybe two weeks passed but NO. it was months. ANON I AM SO SO SO SO SORRY. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART) but now with the power of this url and the wine i am currently sipping, let me give you the best, most thought-out answer that i possibly can.
I don't know how long you've been following/watching spn, so I won't get into real deep iceberg theories that go back to season 8 and jeremy carver, for the purpose of this essay answer I'll just stick to the year anno domini 2020, and will try to do my best to tell you what happened.
Okay, maybe 2019. So, in june 2019, when the first scripts and drafts for s15 are presented, these things happen:
1. apparently, according to Berens, the confession scene is the first thing that was written for season 15.
2. Jensen Ackles is sat down and asked if he would be okay with this. (question is asked: why would they ask jensen if all he does in this scene is look at cas, he doesn't say anything, he does not confess, it changes nothing about his character, etc.; if you put the real tjlc tinfoil hat on you'd ask hey , maybe they asked him if precisely that is okay, if he is okay with the fact dean is practically silenced here but that's Deep)
3. Jensen apparently is okay with that, because it happens.
also this thing happens around the same time:
1. they write the ending for the brothers, and no matter what version of the finale we're talking about, Dean dies
2. Jensen Ackles is Not Okay with this. he calls Kripke who then, in a call and/or email assures him it's a good ending (Jensen says that) and also very quickly after that Jensen is announced to play Soldier Boy in Kripke's The Boys. make of that what you want
They film, blah blah, march 2020, covid happens, they stop production right after they film the confession. Last episode to air is 15x13, last episode they film is 15x18, they almost have a plane crush when flying to vegas con, and then, a loooong break until august 2020. Now, from what we know, there were two versions of the finale - the pre-covid finale they were supposed to film if the filming schedule wasn't interrupted, and the finale that happened.
What was supposed to be in the Original Finale/Pre-Covid Finale, we still don't know exactly, but from what the cast said, there was supposed to be a big cast reunion, Harvelle's Roadhouse in Heaven, Kansas Band (why are they dead?) playing there after Dean gets there and so on.
Anyway. July 2020. Misha does a livestream with Michael Sheen (the SuperGood campaign) where he says he is going back to filming the last two episodes in a few weeks. he said it LIVE. it's on youtube. people analyze the background from Misha's livestreams and photos and conclude he is in Vacouver, where spn is filmed. He also says that he is going back filming in a few interviews. Also here.
August 2020. They go back to filming in august 2020 to film 15x19 and 15x20.
August 20th, 2020, Misha's birthday.
I wasn't on set TODAY. so casual. of all days i wasn't there today.
August 24th, 2020, day 6/8 of filming 15x19, Angel with a Shotgun is hash tag Song of The Day while filming scenes of 15x19 (scene 28, 31).
September 4th, 2020. ALL THEY FILM, for the whole DAY, is one scene. They usually film a few. They film one. Song of the day? The Night We Met.
Somewhere before the episodes starts to air again, Dabb says only 30% of the audience will like the finale. Anyway, everyone concludes, Misha is filming, destiel is more or less going canon, but everyone including bibros is sure Misha is filming and will be there for the finale.
Originally, "Despair" was called "The Truth".
Finale airs.
It feels shorter (apparently it's not) but it does have an additional ad break. For Walker. But it feels shorter because of the "carry on my wayward son" cover montage that lasts too long and later it's discovered thanks to scripts that dropped that there are ELEVEN scenes that were filmed,, but didn't make it to the episode. The script that drops is also very telling, where scenes are just [OMMITTED]. It was explained that they wanted to have actor there but they didn't want actors to quarantine for two weeks to film one or two scenes BUT then that's exactly what they did with Jim Beaver lmao.
So yeah. I also remember Misha at a con (DarkLight?) where, after asked about the original ending, he answers that the original ending was something that would be better explored in fanfiction anyway. Theory rises he filmed and was cut off the episode without his or Jensen's knowledge because Misha sat down his kids to watch the spn finale (which was the first episode they were supposed to watch ever, why would he do that if he's not there?) and then, CW SPN twitter posts a goodbye video that has everyone from the cast and their mother BUT MISHA AND JENSEN ARE NOT THERE. Jensens sexy silence starts.
THEN THE WILDEST THING HAPPENS.
November 25th, the Spanish Dub. 15x18 drops in Brazil and Dean says "and i you" to Cas, after he confesses. No "don't do this cas" but "and i you". Tumblr stops working for two hours, people on discords are screaming, no one knows whats happening, someone claims Jensen was called in September 2020 to record some adlibs? To record the muffled sobs Dean does while on the floor. Theory is supported by the fact that in the Bazil version? When Dean sits on the floor? The sound that plays are birds. Chirping birds. Sounds don't match, what was Dean saying while crying on the floor, question arises.
Everyone decides there was a Rogue Translator who managed to hide from The CW Sniper (who is the reason actors just dont tell us everything) and translated some kind of Original Script. Voice Actors are invited to a podcast where they debunk this saying that it was added because the translator felt this was the right response or something like that. Anyway they debunk the fact that there existed, at any time, a version of a script, that maybe was send to them, where Dean says I love you too. This was a wild night, no one slept.
And like. I could make this post longer, but I am planning to, one day, make a huge masterpost with real sources about that because honestly you could write a book about it.
But tl;dr spngate is a theory that misha did film for the last 2 episodes and the changes they made were truly last minute (september 2020), they were going for a canon destiel, possibly human!cas engame, dabb was always on our side, and it's based on stuff like jensen actively hating the ending to the point he made his prequel after 2 years of radio silence, 11 scenes just cut from the finale, misha saying he is going back filming, and people like mark pellegrino saying the last scene he filmed was with alex and misha. also the onion field. why lamp is the theory that cas is represented and symbolized by lamps throughout the show and when dean dances with a Lamp in a drug induced dream instead of, say, some kind of a lady he is actually thinking about cas.
also there are little things like when jensen at an online con before the finale says that oh yes i am wearing a grey flannel but tomorrow? who know it could be blue and green. and we all collectively lost our shit. like when he said he is most excited to "tackle" with cas in season 15. or that "dean has no taste, clearly". WHY WAS YOUR PERMISSION NEEDED JENSEN
there are a lot of things i didn't mention here because i simply can't unflod this whole thing just like that but

Gonna get real 2014 on you when I say this. Destiel. I was obsessed with SPN in high school and that shit show of a ship still remains #1.

Like. All my BNHA and SPN fics. I'd like to finish my BNHA fics but like. I don't think it's gonna happen
15. What are your writing strengths?
I'm told I write angst well. I think I write emotional scenes/dialogue well, but I can't be sure. I'm my own worst critique.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
I want to say fight scenes but I think a few of my friends would fight me on that.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Gonna be honest, never really thought of it. If it's non important dialogue, I write it in the og language. If it's important, italicized in English.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter. It was a self insert oc (but not really).
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Non, I think. I write what I want to when I want to. The only things I haven't written are ideas I'm too scared to flesh out (for fandoms I have already written for).

Time Travel? What The Fuck? hands down. It's my special little guy. Fucking huge fic. Need to finish it so I can get to that ONE SCENE that inspired the whole thing

Currently Stranger Things, but I do have some Fargo s5 fic in the works. Back in the day it was a lot of Supernatural, Doctor Who, Check Please!, Schitt’s Creek, (regrettably) The Big Bang Theory, Marvel, The Mortal Instruments, and The Infernal Devices
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Familiar to Me (Supernatural), Intervention (Supernatural), felled by you (Stranger Things), Avenging Barbarian (Stranger Things), and A Truth Universally Acknowledged (Stranger Things)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! Mainly because I like the interaction (especially when readers have predictions/ world-building thoughts). I also screenshot my favorite ones for when I need motivation or a pick me up.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably Happy Springtime Cas (Supernatural) because it’s Main Character Death
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This Ken Has a Boyfriend! (Stranger Things) because it is pure crack and delight ❤️
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not so much hate, but I could always tell when someone hasn’t seen You’ve Got Mail based on how critical they are of Cas in A Truth Universally Acknowledged. Which, at that point, please discuss it with your friends and not me. I decided to follow the plot of You’ve Got Mail pretty close, and for some people it was too much that Dean lost his store like Kathleen. (And I only cried about it twice, which is a win for me).
9. Do you write smut?
yes, primarily omegaverse and kink. oh if 15 year old sweetpea could see me now skdlfjsdjf
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Gonna show my age here, but for my 100th fanfic on FF.net I wrote a SuperWhoLock fic. I’ve also written a Supernatural/Check Please! crossover, and I’m in the middle of writing a Fargo/Stranger things crossover (Gator with older Steve/Eddie, anyone?).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No, thank god!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! Birthday Wish (Stranger Things) was translated by Azalea_Violetta
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I’m currently working on a co-written fic for a ST Femslash Server I’m in (not sure how much I can say publicly!). But I’ve been apart of many multi-voice podfic (podfic voiced with a whole cast instead of one person).
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
Currently gripped by Steddie.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
The bio-bdsm destiel fic. I might get back to it some day, but my Stranger Things fascination gripped me about the same time I was noodling with it. Also, I’m so bad about finishing long fics 🤦♀️

Plot v. cool scene, anxiety editing

I’d like to apologize for 16 year old me for slapping Google Translate lines in fic. I’m sure there were many cringy translations. Otherwise, I don’t think too hard when I see them in fic.

I'm currently writing for Visual Prison and The Untamed/MDZS fandoms, but in the past I've written for Star Wars Rebels, the mcu, Supernatural, and a few others
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Maybe not so accidentally (899 kudos). A kalluzeb (star wars rebels) canon divergence AU
A Blind Goddess (657 kudos). Another kalluzeb fic. The star wars rebels fandom is a big one, so I guess it's not a surprise my top 3 fics with most kudos belong to it. It doesn't necessarily mean they're my best fics, only that more people have read them. But I'm grateful anyway.
The Reasons Why (426 kudos). Also a kalluzeb fic, and the first one I ever posted in English (I had only written in my own language until then). It was nerve-wracking to take that step but everyone's response was so kind it encouraged me to continue.
We Weren't Always Like This (413 kudos). This is a matchablossom fic (SK8 the Infinity), the first of the two fics I've written for that pairing.
No es la sangre (401 kudos). A thorki AU. This one is in Spanish
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Of course! The comments are a place to fangirl with people who are just as enthusiastic about the OTP as you are, what's not to like? Maybe I don't always reply as fast as I should, but I enjoy doing it.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I think most of my fics have a happy ending, I'm a basic bitch and proud of it. The only exception I can recall is It's not over, a destiel fic that was inspired by episode 5x04 of Supernatural and there's no way a story set in that alternate timeline could end well tbh.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The other 75? XDD. Okay, fine, there are two fics in which the happy ending felt very satisfactory to me because the characters went through quite a lot of angst to get there: Under the Spotlight (songxiao, The Untamed/MDZS) and Take my hand, take my whole life too (sagamist, Visual Prison)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No, I've been really lucky in that regard
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do, but I'm pretty vanilla about it. I think the kinkiest thing I've ever written was some light bondage and very soft dom/sub dynamics.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
El vínculo más profundo. It's more of a fusion than a crossover actually. The characters are from the movie "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" but the story is set in the Pacific Rim universe. It was fun to write
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes, it happened a couple of times with No es la sangre. Someone took it and posted it as their own, first on ffnet and then on wattpad. I don't think it was the same person in both cases. One of the (many) advantages of writing for small fandoms, as I do now, is that the chances of that kind of thing happening are almost zero.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Partially. Someone started translating No es la sangre into English, but they got busy and stopped after a while. I've thought about translating it myself but to be honest, I don't have the energy.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes, a very long time ago, with a very dear friend of mine. It was for the X-Files fandom.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
This is the most difficult question of this whole meme. I can't choose one, I love my ships dearly. I'd have to name at least five.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I only have two wips currently in the works and I intend to finish both of them.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Action scenes, I think. Sometimes dialogue.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Pacing, infodumping, knowing how to let a story breathe and not rushing it. Those are the things I find more difficult to get right.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If the story needs it, and if it's a language I know well, why not?
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The X-Files. Yeah, it's been a while
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I changed my mind, this one is actually the most difficult question. Aaah, I don't know, I tend to associate my fics with the community I get to enjoy through them, you know? It's not about how proud I am of the fic itself, it's about the whole experience. I am very fond of En la prórroga because I wrote it as a birthday gift for a friend and she loved it. I'll always love Under the Spotlight because it was my doorway to the songxiao fandom, where I have met some of the most amazing people you can find on the Internet. The same for Can't go back anymore, my first visupri fic, because I got to become part of an incredible group of friends thanks to it. And then there's Baby, It's Cold Outside and all the fun we had while I was posting that one. I'm overwhelmed by the response I've received to Maybe not so accidentally and No es la sangre, because I never expected any fic of mine to become so loved by anyone. So how am I going to choose just one?

I was just recommended this blog, congrats on being the first adhd blog I've followed! :) My adhd is real bad right now since I can't get my meds, got that burnout going and I'm desperate for a new hyperfixation because all my other ones sound "too boring" for my brain. I saw that you enjoy talking about your hyperfixations, so my question is what things would you suggest and what would be your selling points for them? Shows, games, crafts, anything you can think of! Go wild my friend!
i feel unreasonably happy about being the first adhd blog that you followed and that it was because i was recommended to you!! 🥰 but i’m sorry about the meds. though i do enjoy talking about my hyperfixations so thank you for asking me about them.
right now, i’m really obsessed with castiel from the show supernatural. i have been for about two and half years, so it’s definitely lasted a while. plus the ship destiel (he’s the -stiel part of course), and the show are part of that hyperfixation. if you haven’t heard about castiel, he’s an angel who was sent to earth to be a soldier but he fell in love with humanity, plus he can be bitchy and really funny. he’s so pretty and just an all around lovable character.
i make gifs so i spend a lot of time watching his scenes and hoping to make other people love him too. plus the actor who plays him (misha collins) is really special to me too. i love him probably as much as castiel, and i’m actually going to meet him in september!!!!!
the show supernatural is 15 seasons and castiel is in them from the first episode of season 4 till the end so there’s quite a lot of him! this is him:
oh and misha collins from above is also in this other show called ‘gotham knights’, it’s about these teenagers who band together after they’re accused of killing batman. i admit, i started watching the show because of misha collins, but the relationships between the so called gotham knights is really amazing to watch. the show got cancelled after one season thanks to the cw, but what they did with that season was so great.
misha plays harvey dent, and he’s a really good guy who starts to struggle with, for lack of a way to describe it, another guy in his head. he blacks out and does things he doesn’t remember because the other guy takes over.
it’s a really good show, and everyone, not just the cast but the crew and the writers and especially the costume designer (who interacted with me a few times on twitter) worked so hard on the show and it made me love it so much more.
another show i really like is called 911, it’s about these firefighters and paramedics in LA and honestly i didn’t expect to love it as much as i did. procedurals weren’t my favourite type of shows, but this one had me reconsidering. my favourite character is this guy evan buckley, or ‘buck’ as he goes by. he’s got like the worst abandonment issues but he’s really cute and fun and half the reason i love the show. i am terrible at descriptions but i think anyone who watches the show finds they love him. but the show is more about found family, which is coincidentally what supernatural is about 😆
this isn’t something to really hyperfixate on but recently i’ve been really obsessed with cats. i don’t currently have one but my sister got one about 3 years ago and for like 2 months, i’ve been looking for a cat myself. they’re just so adorable and small!!! i can’t get a cat until i get a job, and it’s seriously hard right now ☹️but i’m trying my best.
i mentioned this earlier but i make gifs. like… a lot. i love watching something and thinking ‘i can make this look even better.’ making a scene brighter and playing around with colouring and photoshop is really, really fun. it takes up a lot of my time because once i start, i can’t really stop. and being on tumblr is a perfect place to share gifs. if you have the means and the time, i’d definitely recommend it. you can be creative, rewatch a show and characters you love and find a community of people who do!
i know i haven’t given you many options for things to hyperfixate on, but this has been really fun to just rant about things i like, so thank you! i hope you find some things to hyperfixate on, but if not, adhd in and of itself is really interesting to learn about. but then again, psychology and neuroscience are what i’ve committed to studying so maybe that’s why it appeals to me so much. anyways, i wish you luck on your journey! thanks for following 💖

you have to understand. I've made this post liek 3 times before but it bears repeating. I didnt watch seasons 13-15 of supernatural as they came out.
The only episode post season 12 i saw live was the finale.
So i tuned into a livestream of what they were literally airing on tv. And i tuned in early, and there was a supernatural special with interviews to the actors and stuff like that. And right before 15x20 started they played a lil montage from a bunch of scenes and one of those scene was 15x09 cas saying "you dont have to say it i heard your prayer" and them looking all in love. and for some reason , my mind saw this and assumed it was a preview for 15x20 (again remember i hadnt seen seasons 13-15) and so i was literally convinced that destiel was going to reunite and that that line was said in a post-confession context. Literally the episode ended and i was like ummbut where is that scene i saw inthe preview??
And someone replied like "um bestie that scene is from 15x09"
Literally have never been more disappointed and distraught.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 163,682 (and about ~200k more unpublished in my WIP folder)
3. What fandoms do you write for? Right now the big one is Stranger Things but my forever fandom is Power Rangers/Sentai/Kamen Rider. I've also written for Psych, Doctor Who, and Supernatural. (Most of my SPN and DW stuff is sequestered to my FF account.)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I really try to, but sometimes it gets away from me and I worry it's been too long since they left the comment, and it turns into a whole thing (in my head ofc).
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Descent, easily. The post kiss freakout being resolved in another fic? When the fic was originally going to end very differently? Yeaaaaaaah.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Toss up between TFaK (fully resolving's Descent's angsty ending) or California (literally a mini-fic about the OTP getting married).
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not so far?
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have, mainly some pretty straightforward m/m stuff. A few funkier attempts swim around my WIP folder, almost certainly never to see the light of day.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I've written a lot of subtle crossovers, but only two overt ones, and I think the craziest would be the Doctor Who/Office one I wrote back in high school. Dwight is a Dalek!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? At this point, feels safe to say Maddie/Nick, even if that's at least 75% my own interpretations and projections. Destiel, Shassie, and Steddie are pretty darn close, especially Destiel, even if I haven't been involved in that fandom in over a decade.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? A few of my orphaned fics on FF.net will probably never see the light of day, as well as some of the half-formed works in my current WIP folder. Technically have the finished final chapter of Magical Mysteries but no motivation to edit, so still holding hope for that one.
16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue, I think. I spend a lot of time trying to imagine the scenes I write and hear the dialogue how I think the actors would deliver it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Conciseness, clearly. Takes a lot of self-editing to wrangle a story to a manageable, clear narrative.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I've done bits and pieces of it here and there, mainly with the like five languages that I can double-check against my own thin linguistic knowledge.
19. First fandom you wrote for? if you dig back far enough, pretty sure it was Pokemon on the Bulbagarden forums
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Descent, easily. Despite the angsty ending, it was fun to write a slice of life centered on two characters I love, going to an event I love even more.

Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to find Dean with his arm wrapped around you. A welcoming surprising pleasure that leaves you curious. You wonder why he is even here. You didn’t go to bed with him in your bed.
Shrugging, you’re taking advantage of the situation and turn into him to snuggle. He quietly groans and lays on his back dragging you on to his chest, partially. Smiling, you place your hands on his chest and turn your head on its side to listen to his heartbeat. Closing your eyes, you sigh contently and rub your face on his chest loving his natural smell. His other hand rubs your back which causes you to tense and confuse you.
Did he wake up? You lift your head and look at him, despite the darkness, the little bit of light from the hallway peaks through from under the door.
“Are you awake?” You whisper.
A sudden chuckle is felt then heard. “Yes,” he whisper back in a deep and sleepy voice.
“Did I wake you?”
“I’m a light sleeper. Everything wakes me.”
“Is this ok?” You ask, suddenly wondering if you remaining on his chest is ok or not.
You can hear the smile on his face as he says, “Yes.”
You lay your head back down.
Dean continues rubbing your back with one hand and having his other arm across your lower back.

Author Note #2: I apologize. It’s supposed to be a drabble and went much longer. I wasn’t able to get the third one in but when I have more time, might see about doing a part 2. This was fun!
Y/N knew the brothers first by reputation then introduced by Bobby a few years back when she ran into a pair of lamias. The hunt ended well and Y/N enjoyed the craziness of the case with them as they did with her, so they have remained in contact since.
It had been months since Y/N and the Winchesters had hunted together. She had picked up a weird case in a typical suburban area that she couldn’t put her finger on, so she gave up after two weeks and called them for help.
They drove in and met at her hotel room. When they came up to the third floor and knocked, having seen your old Ford Escape was there, but Y/N didn’t answer. They exchanged a look between them and Dean pounded on the door as Sam called you. Still silent except for your ringtone coming from inside the room—one that Dean had recommended for their ringtone of Metallica he liked. Dean moved to the side and drew his gun as Sam backed up doing the same and then kicked the door in.
Y/N laid across the closest queen size bed to the door. A small open box fell on to the bed next to her. Dean ran up to and kept beside her to check her pulse, “She good.” Sam with his gun at the ready checked the small hotel room, “All clear.” He went and closed the door while Dean checked her out.
She was in a pale pink tank top and blue jeans tucked into calf-high black boots. Sam quickly searched in the closet and under the bed and drawers, “Dean.” A hex bag in his hand and anger began to cross his features. He opened and tore up the bag then trashed it.
Dean looked very confused at the bag then at Sam and motioned for him to look at her, “Y/N has pink stuff on her.”
Sam looked at him, “What?” He leaned over her and looked carefully, a fine pink powder dusted much of her face and neck. He saw a pen on the nightstand and took it using it like a stick to turn the box upright. “Whatever it is, it was in the box,” Sam stated.
Dean glanced at the box then back to Y/N. “Maybe after cleaning it off, she’ll wake up?” Dean questioned out loud and moved to the bathroom before Sam could reply to get a wet washcloth. He returned with a warm, wet washcloth and a dry one and started gently to wipe her face and neck off.
Y/N began to stir, her eyebrows slightly furrowed and with a quietly sleepy voice she said , “Stop” as she tried to move her face from the washcloth. She attempted to lift her hands but struggled. Dean smirked at her reaction thinking it was cute. “You got whammied, Y/N.” He said as he wiped where he had removed the powder with the dry washcloth. Her eyes fluttered for a few seconds. When she finally opened her eyes and saw Dean’s face, she smiled brightly at him, “Hey.”

New AU idea:
Cas is the half-Vulcan Captain of a Federation starship. Dean is his First Officer, who was assigned to him on his first mission as Captain and annoys the shit out of Cas cause he’s just as stubborn as Cas and is way better at socialising. They have the same kind of love/hate relationship as Spock and Bones, which makes being on the Bridge insufferable for the rest of the crew, especially Sam, whose low-grade psychic abilities mean he was perfect for the role of Ship’s Counselor but also means he has to feel their emotions all the goddamn time. He is suffering so much.

It's a quiet night. More than a year later, and Dean's still getting used to it. The silver band on his finger glints in the moonlight as he drums his fingers on his sternum. He shifts underneath the blanket, listens for the water lapping gently at the lake outside. It must be past midnight now.
Cas stirs next to him, arm tightening where it's wrapped around Dean's waist, sleep-mussed head rising from the pillow to squint at him. He's frowning. Dean smiles back, heart thumping in his chest.
'Dean?'
Dean presses a kiss to his husband's lips. 'Happy anniversary, Cas.'

No. 1: Luther
I don't have much to say on Luther other than that the romance was completely unnessesary. It did nothing for the characters and moved the plot forward none, and furthermore it wasn't even interesting. The characters moved into it way too fast to be believable, and to be honest I was just bored with it, because it was a boring, cookie-cutter romance with no real substance.
His death didn't even move forward the plot at all either, they could have killed Klaus and left him alive-- the result would have been the same, given that Five was already certain that Reginald was up to something.
No. 2: Diego
Diego was honestly the most bearable character this season, partially due to the fact that he was actually in character, if you ignore the fact that he looked at a white kid and was like "yeah sure that's mine and Lila's". Did nobody think of that?
His character didn't really move forward either, partially due to the fact that his entire arc was focused on a kid that wasn't even related to the plot, and then focused on Lila, whose involvement didn't even really make sense. His reaction to Klaus's death-by-Stan was extremely underdone, and didn't really have any emotional impact.
No. 3: Allison
Allison was villianized heavily this season, what with her grudge against Viktor and her newfound willingness to rumour anyone for any reason. And honestly, I don't blame her. The writing was shit when it came to her, but I'd be angry at Viktor too, even if she did go overboard at times. The assault scene made zero sense for her character (at least in my opinion) given that she seemed to be dedicated to Ray and her daughter, and it had zero impact on the plot OR the characters, which is even worse. Her character overall had the most impact on the plot, which is laughable given that the majority of her actions were being mean to Viktor and rumouring people unnecessarily to show that she was having issues, which could have done numerous other ways.
No. 4: Klaus
Klaus had none of the charm that made him likeable past episode 2. His weird alliegance with Reginald did nothing for the plot other than working to move his powers forwards, which could have been done with multiple other people, and getting Reginald off the pills, which was a weird and convoluted subplot that didn't make any sense other than to explain why he hadn't completed his project already.
He didn't move forward character-wise at all except for his powers, the entirety of which made zero sense given that he hated Reginald more than any of his other siblings save maybe Diego, and overall his death(s) made no difference, even the ones by automobile accident. And seriously, did nobody stop to check on the guy they killed with their car?
No. 5: Number Five
God, okay, here we go. Five was (and unfortunately still is) my favourite character. That said, he was unrecognizable this season. He has very few actual personality traits, most of which relate to his motive-- save the world, or rather, as we've been shown, save the world (but mostly his siblings).
We've been shown multiple times over that he will go to extreme lengths to keep his siblings both alive and somewhat happy, and this season completely obliterated that. Out of his five (ahaha get it?) or so personality traits (asshole, sarcastic, tsundere-like, secretive, cares incredibly deeply), we got shown three, and the ones that were missing are the ones that make him bearable and sensical as a character.
None of his actions from seasons one and two make sense if he doesn't love and care for his family incredibly deeply, but if you were to just watch season three, you wouldn't know it. His reaction to Luther and Klaus's deaths were both underwhelming and also counfounding-- we were shown a very OP and useful power last season-- turning back time. He could have used it multiple times to at least try to save Luther and Klaus, but ultimately didn't, for... what reason? Don't ask me, I have no clue.
Furthermore, his having started the Commission makes no sense-- he hates authority and rules, and hates the Comission even more.
Overall, his character fell bland, flat, and nonsensical.
No. 6 2: Ben
I don't have much to say about Ben. He was an interesting character, that's for sure, and I enjoyed his reconcilliation with Klaus in episode... eight? Nine? But he needed something more. His sudden turn-around to wanting to be part of the family was out of the blue, and it needed more to prelude it.
His character made the most sense, but overall I felt like I was left wanting more of him and less of his weird grab for power, which brings me to the fact that for the Sparrows, numbers seemed interchangable? For the Umbrellas, it was more of a "we're our numbers and then our names", but the Sparrows had a "names then numbers" approach, which was never explained.
A lot of things when it came to the Sparrows were never explained-- Christopher, whatever the "Jennifer Incident" was and why and how it killed Ben, and probably other things I'm not remembering at the moment.
No. 7: Viktor
I'm going to prelude this by saying that Viktor is and has been my least favourite character for a number of reasons, and that hasn't changed.
I went into the season hoping that they wouldn't do a big 'trans narrative', partially because I'm trans and also aware that no matter what they did, it was going to come off weirdly, partially because they weren't planning for it ahead of time, and partially because I was concerned that it would end up being his entire character arc.

Ahah! Fren you think you are gonna come to my blog on this, the day of my daughters middle school awards show (it actually was) and think your slick giving me so many numbers.

Welp. I don't know if this plan has backfired or not... on the one hand, lots to answer; on the other... lots to answer. (jk; this is awesome and I'm thriving :) Thanks, dear!) Also, congrats to your daughter!!!
However, you also, um. Forgot to tell me what ship/character/film/show/etc each number belonged with. So. Whoops. Now I'm going to heckle you in Discord until you give me the criteria for each. (The actual answers will all be mine, though, so.)

ANYWAY. (keep reading because someone sent me eight different numbers)
(Fandom Ask Music Game)
1. A song that reminds me of Deckerstar: Definitely "Wicked Game", no question. Every time I think of/hear that song, my brain replays the scene with breaking-down Luci playing it in his red robe thing in the penthouse after coming to the conclusion that he couldn't tell Chloe he loved her. It's the first thing that came to mind when I read this part of the ask, so, yeah, maybe there's a better answer, but this is my instinctive one.
3. A song I wish was in Thirteen Ghosts: Well, someone's making things difficult. I think I'll say "One" by Metallica. It's pretty pertinent to the ghosts and/or to Dennis (kinda one and the same, at some points), and it fits the vibes of the film, imo. Plus, I just love Metallica.
5. A song that I associate with The Count of Monte Cristo because of exactly one (1) applicable lyric: You know. This is way harder than you think. Because there's an entire CoMC musical that's now invading my head and not applicable as an answer. BUT. I guess I'll say "Macavity: The Mystery Cat". (aka, it's the first think I came up with and it works decently well, so!) The pertinent line: "And when you think he's half asleep, he's always wide awake." (and bonus points for "He's outwardly respectable/I know he cheats at cards.") It's very reminiscent of the way the Count looks aboveboard but is actually doing his best to take them all down,
7. A song the fandom constantly talks about fitting Supernatural perfectly but I just Don’t See It: (EDIT: I realized after I already wrote this that I turned "SPN" into "Destiel," but it's fineeee. tbf, the only songs I know people connect to the show --- Destiel or otherwise --- and don't agree with are Hozier songs and "Angel With a Shotgun"... which I only don't agree with because I'm a heathen and haven't heard them. SO. Destiel it is.) Anyway... "On My Own" from Les Miserables. I love this song so much, but it is not at all accurate for the show. (Note: Do I think that either Dean or Cas would have their perception be that it's accurate, yes. Do I think it's actually accurate, no. Does that make any sense?)
9. A song I wish didn’t remind me of TenRose but it does: I assume Doomsday doesn't count? Uh... Okay, got one. "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters. And I confess freely that this is biased by my adoration of 1408 (the film; I didn't much care for the short story, tbh), but. That song is creepy af. it sounds soooo optimistic. And it's just got this edge of darkness. And if that's not 10Rose in a nutshell --- everything sounds bright and happy but you just know something's about to go wrong --- I don't know what is.
11. A song that makes me feel happy about Destiel: Back with the hard ones, I see. How am I supposed to be happy about a ship that practically definesssss tragedy? Like, "All Outta Love" makes me happy for its connection to them, but the context is tragic, so it's not my answer? And I have a bunch of applicable Hadestown songs, but those all hurt? I guess I'll say "Every Woman in the World". In addition to just fitting, it's also Air Supply --- so a connection to the aforementioned "All Outta Love" --- and has been used in both Slither (a family-favorite film) and a romantic comedy starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (which was good enough that it overwhelmed my chronic dislike of rom-coms).
13. A song I associate with my least favorite character: They. Are. The same. People. Ma'am. But anyway... I guess I'll go with Sam because I have a good answer (and it's not actually anti!!!): "Walk in the Dark" by David Byrne. In my head, it's largely Azazel POV as he looks in on Sam as one of his "kids", but I still view it as a "Sam" song. If that makes any sense?
15. Top five songs I would add to a Gentlebeard playlist: Definitely "The Chain", for obvious reasons (if you've seen the show). "Ain't No Sunshine", definitely. "Promises in the Dark", too. "Jolene" for the ouch. And... "I Will Survive". Because that's basically what Ed's doing when he turns into the Kraken, and that hurts.
If you're noticing that these songs are largely in order by artist/band name, it's absolutely not because I started going through my playlist for inspiration. Not at all. Obviously.

Small Rant for the destiehellers
I’ve been seeing quite a few post saying how wrong destiel is and all that and i wanted to point out. Castiel is not animating a dead corps.
It’s canon that when Castiel was brought back he chose to be brought back as mirror image of Jimmy Novak. He’s not possessing him anymore. His human image just looks like Jimmy. This is all confirmed post season 8 I believe.
Now the whole r/ape argument could be debunked bc in canon nothing ever happened And most destiel FICS are AU which means Castiel is his own person. And when FICS want to include Jimmy he’s always his twin and his own person as well.
Now with beastiality! Castiel is not an animal but an Angel so I would probably just move this to Monster F*cker?? To make more sense.
I don’t know it bothered me how critical thinking was lost in this entire argument.
Anyways I respect all fandoms and try to mind my business. However, I was seeing a lot of hate for this ship recently so I just wanted to clarify. Feel free to leave your take and be respectful about it :0

My #1 post of 2022
I’ve been thinking a lot about theo and Liam these past few days. And you can’t tell me they weren’t supposed to be end game. ANS I know the creators said if they continued the show then they would end up together.
It’s just I was rewatching the scene where LIAM and HAYDEN were kissing and you see theo looking through the mirror.
You can’t tell me he felt like some type of way. I think he always had hard time processing his emotions and stuff but after LIAM brought him back from hell. I think that’s the moment he truly fell for LIAM. Like he probably thinks like oh why does this kid care so much about me. And I think theo was just like LIAM before character development. Anger issues. The difference is theo was leaning more towards being vengeful and self preservation. ANS LIAM is more reckless anger with the intent of being good.
And this dynamic has always been interesting. The same coin with different sides.
Anyways early on you can see the chemistry.
also the way theo looks at LIAM. I can’t. I think theo fell harder at first and Liam had a harder time accepting he was in love with theo. ✨✨
