Day 362 : Black Scoter

O amor não existe. E se ele existe, ele está fugindo de mim, e quando sinto que estou a um passo de agarra-lo, ele se distancia com 10 e ai não o vejo mais em meu horizonte .

Mas agora não pretendo mais procurar por amor, vou deixar que ele venha até mim, pode ser que demore, pode ser que quando ele resolver vir até mim, eu não acredite mais nele, e faça alguem que acredite chorar.

Mas isso faz parte da vida e provocar uma desventura dessas na vida de outra pessoa as vezes torna-se primordial, pra que saibamos o quanto valemos e o que significamos.

Day 8 of 366 day project

We had winter squalls throughout the afternoon. While running errands I sat in a food court and did some quick loose sketches. There were a few older heavy set men that got my attention. I decided to insert one of the men into J.F. Raffaëlli ink drawing I really love.

The Tomoe 52gsm paper in the Hobonichi is amazing. As long as I don’t use heavy pressure on with the fountain pen there is absolutely no bleed. Even in the areas with heavy ink coverage.

Day 6 of 366 Day Project

“Study for a Soldier” after Raphael

I was heavy handed with my fountain pen on a previous page beating up the paper with the ink bleeding through in a few spots. So I improvised and while doing so took a break from the fountain to draw this study in pencil.

Special shoutout to scissors and glue stick. Fixing mistakes for messy artists since…? 😄

Day 5 of 366 day project

I heard about the app Sktchy from a gouache painting blog and thought it would be a good source for days when I am drawing a blank on what to draw for the 366 project. This is a fun selfie after a quick scroll.

Spent all day assisting in the studio. We had an influx of new students for both the morning and afternoon classes. By the time I was on the bus home the hanger pangs started. My partner suggested halal Mexican. Falafel burrito hit the spot.
