sneak peek of a short I'm working on as an interlude between bigger projects. using the somewhat unconventional combo of clip studio paint, 3ds max, and blender because I didn't plan ahead
Here's a 3D model, print and paint of Anya Forger from the Anime 'Spy x Family'.
I wanted to recreate the manga cover with her in the chair. Overall, I'm relatively happy with how it came out. As with most of my anime paints, the face is a transfer. I'm not 100% happy with it as it looks a bit low detail, so I might try to reprint and retransfer those at some point.
I also needed to subdivide the mesh a bit more, I think. There are some obvious polygons here and there. Perhaps I could have sanded it down a little more before painting, but I was impatient, as usual.
During the printing journey I also ended up reprinting her a little bigger, so I now have a spare, smaller unpainted version I may do something with. Just a rando fact for you there. Here's some fun WIP pics:
This is an animation that I had worked on for a final project for my Intro to 3D modeling course in college. It's kind of rough lighting wise, but I am happy with what I made. This is a kinda basic backrooms style animation, since I thought that would be an easy enough scene to make. Boy was I wrong this was a nightmare. Support yer local animators online.
The only thing keeping me from a complete stress meltdown over my animation assignment is listening to tv shows on the background while trying to fix whatever bs 3DS Max throws my way 👍
Resurrecting from the dead because I'm getting back into 3D modeling again and for some reason this little wheel I made in a couple of hours has made me happier than my entire body of work over the summer
Okay whew, it's been a day. Now I gotta post these on Twitter.
Technically not a commission, but a gift. I did this one so I had a good reason to build a YCH base for these "miniature" models. Sorta chibi/funko pop style. The YCH base will be available as a cheaper option, since it'll be pre-rigged and most of the work is just editing and adding hair, clothing and such. Final price depends on how much it was changed. Obviously this one ended up being pretty ambitious and I'm very proud of it. Definitely a fine example for the YCH base.
