I found incredible 3D designs for armor, gauntlets and belt accessories from two amazing 3D artists; @bigfreds_customs and @aztec3dstudioss @aztec3dstudios on Insta

I purchased the STL files from Big Fred's Customs for the Grapple Gauntlets (features an extendable grapple mechanism), Sticky Bomb Launcher with Belt Canister and a few other Accessories/Gadgets.

The STL files from Aztec 3D Designs are for the Chest Piece, Shoulders and Bicep Armor.

Highly recommend both of these designers for your cosplay 3D printing needs! Incredible screen accuracy and quality!

Without a 3D printer or any knowledge about 3D printing, I outsourced this job to @craftcloudd which made it pretty easy to have my STL files printed in an array of different materials and a good option if you don't have access to a printer. One component (the grapples) couldn't be printed by Craftcloud3D due to their rules on printing weapon props, but I was able to find someone local to finish the job.

I ordered the parts in May 2022, received them in June paint and wether all sepyate pied as It was a lot of work but I enjoyed every minute of it!

My newest planter! I modified a photogrammetry scan of a sputnik sea urchin shell to be 3D printable and have drainage and then made a base for it that can hold overflow water. I like how shiny the shell is when printed in silver. It gives real UFO vibes.

🦇 Gauntlets - Swipe to see the process - Details below

These amazing Gauntlet 3D designs are from @bigfreds_customs and are designed to be fully functional with an extendable grapple mechanism and hinge for easy removal.

I decided to not make them functional to start and went with the simpler version, being my first cosplay build. The grapple is simply magnetized and supported with some Velcro for now. Now that the project is finished, I may eventually upgrade.

3DPrints are from @craftcloud3d @elipac3d in black ABS filament with 40% infill. Fins/Straps were printed with a black FDM TPU material that is bendable. The dart strap material is black faux leather cut into straps and glued in place. Sanded, assembled, painted and weathered (16 seperate pieces each) by myself.

Ordered the pieces in May 2022. Received them mid June. Finished July 28.

admiring topology of 3d models from death stranding rn

im a lowpoly modeller so the difference in scope is, well, noticable.

there are fully modelled screws (one is highlighted in orange) in these shoes

did you know the bb pod has a small part that we never see and that part has over 200 vertices? that could be a whole lowpoly character

the quipu necklace has 15236 vertices (understandable, we see it up close and it's important. but still, wow)

higgs' facial hair (10981 vertices) is equal to 37 fish i once made. it was a pretty big fish btw
