“Are you okay? I’m so sorry-” I gasped when he grabbed me by my neck, forcing me back until I hit the wall. He squeezed, glaring at me as I grabbed his hand, trying to pry his hand away from my neck.

“Please.”

He tightened his grip, causing me to gasp as tears welled in my eyes.

“Winter, please.”

He let me go, causing me to fall to the floor as I coughed and gasped. Shaking my head I looked up at Winter, my eyes wide.

“Wh-”

“Who are you?”

Winter glared down at me, his hands balled into a fist.

“I-”

I shook my head, slowly standing up, rubbing my neck.

“Rapunzel, you know this.”

He stepped closer to me, causing me to whimper as I stepped back, hitting the wall behind me.

“You’re lying.”

I shook my head, tears welling in my eyes.

“No I’m not. Winter please, you’re scaring me.”

He reached out, causing me to tense, my eyes slamming shut.

“Your hair glows.”

I peeked an eye open, seeing Winter looking down at his hand that was holding a strand of my hair. I took a deep breath, nodding slowly.

“Why?”

I shrugged, shaking my head.

“I- I don’t know. It- for as long as I can remember it’s glowed.”

“That woman, she is your mother?”

“Yes.”

“And you live here, alone.”

“When she leaves, yes.”

He nodded once before he looked up at me, reaching out towards me, causing me to tense, holding my breath as he skimmed his fingers along my neck.

“I am sorry.”

I released the breath I was holding, offering him a small smile as I grabbed his hand.

“It’s okay. I forgive you.”

Grounded Love Masterlist

This series is roughly based off of my mini series, The Realization

Bellamy kept to his word, to an extent. He had to leave you to deal with Wells, but once that was handled, he returned back to your side. When he’d left, he had laid you on the ground, taking his jacket from your shoulders and placing it under your head. It took him a little time to manage to switch places with the jacket, laying your head on his lap, placing his jacket back over you. Luckily you didn’t wake during either times he moved you, the effects of the drug still taking its toll on you. When you woke up, you were surprised to see where you were laying, even more surprised to see Bellamy laying back against the broken log, sleeping. Sitting up, you looked around the camp. Most of the kids were sleeping, only a few up and exploring. You pulled Bellamy’s jacket on as you stood, stuffing your hands in its pockets. No one paid you any attention as you walked over sleeping kids, not bothering to stop you as you walked away from the makeshift camp.

Bellamy woke with a start, his heart beating erratically as he looked around, taking a few deep breaths before he looked down at where you laid, his eyes widening. He jumped up, looking around. He looked everywhere for you, growing agitated when he couldn’t find you. He started to wake the kids, moving them so he could see their faces in hopes of finding you. He started to yell your name, causing the sleeping kids to groan in protest, Bellamy snapping at them to shut up.

“Bellamy, man, what’s the big idea? Everyone’s sleeping.”

Bellamy turned, shaking his head.

“Where is she?”

Murphy made a face, huffing.

“Who?”

Bellamy muttered your name, causing Murphy to shake his head.

“Never seen her.”

Bellamy scoffed, shaking his head.

“She’s been with me since we landed.”

“Sleepy?”

Bellamy glared as he clenched his jaw, nodding.

“Yes.”

Murphy shrugged, slightly grinning.

“Yeah, still haven’t seen her.”

Bellamy turned, yelling your name as he walked forward.

“Bellamy man, you gotta stop. You’re waking everyone up.”

Bellamy ignored him, yelling your name again.

“Bellamy?”

Bellamy stopped, his chest heaving as he turned, his eyes widening. He muttered your name, running towards you. He stopped in front of you, placing his hands on your arms.

“Where were you?”

You smiled, tilting your head to the side.

“Exploring.”

Bellamy shook his head, huffing a slight laugh.

“Next time, warn a guy, will you?”

You nodded, laughing.

“Sure.”

Your eyes widened when he shivered, moving to take his jacket off.

“Here, you can have your-”

Bellamy shook his head, pulling his jacket back over your shoulders.

“You keep it.”

He grinned, tilting his head to the side.

“It looks better on you anyway.”

You laughed, shaking your head as you placed your hands in the jacket pockets.

“Sure thing, Mr. Charmer.”

Bellamy laughed, throwing his arm over your shoulders, pulling you into his side.

“Come on little explorer. We’ve got some things to do.”

He was the last to enter the dropship, managing to slip in before the doors were closed. He’d found a seat near the door, and he was in the process of buckling up when the dropship doors opened causing him to freeze, a surge of fear spreading through him as the lieutenant guard walked in, followed by a group of guards. Bellamy kept his head down, watching them out of the corner of his eye, tensing when they moved towards him.

“Put her here.”

The guards moved to the seat next to Bellamy, Bellamy turning and hiding behind the collar of his jacket. He watched as the guards placed a girl in the seat next to him, strapping her in. The guards walked out of the dropship once she was situated, the lieutenant guard following behind them when he stopped next to Bellamy, tossing something at him, laughing when he missed.

“Good luck with that one kid. She’s a wild card.”

The lieutenant guard walked out of the dropship, the dropship door closing behind him. Bellamy reached down, picking up what the guard threw at him, causing him to make a face seeing a set of keys. He sat up, looking over at the girl next to him, his eyes widening. Her eyes were closed, almost like she was sleeping but Bellamy had a feeling that was anything but true. But what surprised him the most was the cuff around her mouth. He looked around at the other kids, not seeing any of them wearing a cuff similar to hers, save for the wristband they all seemed to wear. He looked back over at the girl and then at the keys in his hands, tilting his head to the side as he looked back over at the girl.

“Who are you?”
