As we all know that man is a social animal and this corona virus is forcing people to Social Isolation. People have to maintain social distancing which is creating a distance between people and their mental health which makes individuals feel alienated. It is affecting daily lives of people.
In the fear of risking our physical health we are ignoring our mental health. This pandemic has widen the horizon of mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, fear, depression etc. It is something that is really important to look into but we often overlook it.
Here are few points which are leading to the negative mental health:-
·         Empty pockets are making people’s mind heavy. Incomes are getting affected in this pandemic but expenditures are not whether it comes to schools’ and colleges’ fee, electricity bills, ration, rents, EMIs etc.
 ·         Change is always difficult. This pandemic has changed the way we live which is really hard to accept. People can go out only when it is essential so it is stressful for those who love outing. Wearing Mask is the new rule.
 ·         People are being self-quarantined which is promoting negative mental health, it seems like after COVID pandemic the world is on verge of another major issue that is ‘Mental Health’.
 ·         This pandemic gave people time to overthink and media is acting as a catalyst in this process because they are just focusing on this one and only issue ‘COVID-19’ which should not be. They exaggerate the news beyond the truth sometimes to increase viewership and TRP which absolutely does not come under media ethics.

 ·         Unemployment has increased, people are running out of money. They are worried how are they going to earn for their livelihood and it is more stressful for those who are the only bread earner of their family.
 ·         Circulation of fake news increased and social media platforms has made it easier, a good platform for sharing is being used negatively. And people trust these easily because they believe why their relatives or friends will share false information. Fake news is creating a whirlpool of stress.

 ·         People who are stuck in other places, those who are not with their family members are dealing with negative mental health, they are facing double stress.
 There are some ways through which we can deal with this situation and fight against this pandemic:-
 ·         Communicate: Divert your mind from the worries and communicate about your problems to whoever you trust. Communication helps to get relaxation.
 ·         Support: let’s start supporting each other. Support all those mental health warriors to whom you can. Supporting each other can make this world a better place to live.
 ·         Social media platforms: yes, we are forced to not socialize, but we can do this virtually. Technology is touching its peak so let’s use this for our well-being. Connect with your friends and family and yes talk to them. Don’t indulge yourself into the negative aspects of social media.
 ·         Self-care: care for yourself, give some quality time to yourself. Do exercise, meditation etc. be productive, keep yourself busy. Every day is a new day to live and learn so just don’t waste it.
 ·         Hope: Nothing is permanent in this world. Whatever comes always goes. Where there is will there is a way. Believe in yourself and keep faith.

Sometimes the person can also become a sociopath to the society. Actually, nowadays in our 21st century, we are so engrossed in technology, we are becoming more and more prone to mental illness.  When a person is mentally and emotionally strong, then he or she is said to be mentally healthy. What is meant by emotionally strong? Emotions, actually, are the subjective state of mind. Crying, laughing, excitement- these all are emotions. When a person has to be a strong grasp on her emotions- we call him emotionally strong, and, when a person gets affected by emotions way too easily, we call him an emotionally weak person. Being an emotionally strong person, is really important because it affects our mind and hence our mental health. Mental health keeps our brain and emotional health in a very good shape. Just like physical fitness, mental fitness can be achieved in a variety of ways. The most important way is to keep an active interest around you, it helps to exercise our brain and hence our mental health. Next to that, we should challenge our intellect and memory quite frequently by doing crosswords or playing chess. And lastly, always take up a new hobby, so it will exercise your brain in a better way.

Migraine

Migraine is a disorder in which there is a pulsating headache. The headache comes in attacks lasting in a range of 4-48 hours and is commonly restricted unilaterally.
There are basically two types of migraine, classical migraine and common migraine. A classical migraine shows the presence of aura while the common migraine does not.
 A migraine can be divided into 5 stages which include the prodrome stage, aura, main attack, resolution and finally recovery or postdrome stage.
 A person having a migraine may show the following symptoms in the respective phases:
1)     Prodrome Stage: Constipation, mood changes, food cravings and frequent urination
2)     Aura:  Pins and needles sensation, difficulty speaking, weakness or numbness in the face or one side of the body.
3)     Main Attack: unilateral headache, photosensitivity (sensitivity to light) , nausea and vomiting
4)     Postdrome Stage: Confusion and weakness
A person experiencing the above symptoms should consult a physician who shall make the appropriate diagnosis and prescribe a treatment if necessary.
A migraine can be triggered by a number of factors like caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, changes in sleep pattern, stress, bright lighting, use of tobacco, hormonal changes and medications like oral contraceptives. If a person is under stress for whatever reason, they are also at a high risk of developing a migraine. Hormonal changes especially in woman during pregnancy and menopause can also result in a migraine. Not eating enough or eating certain food products might also be a trigger apart from the factors mentioned above.
There are two theories which can explain why migraines actually occur- The Vascular Theory and the Neurogenic theory. The Vascular theory suggests cerebral ischaemia as a cause while the Neurogenic theory blames a depression of cortical electrical activity.
According to the specific frequency and intensity of migraines the treatment of migraines is adjusted. The drugs are prescribed accordingly to the patient, if a patient finds it difficult to go personally and buy them they can always order medicines online in India.
The severity of a migraine may be mild, moderate and severe. On the basis of the severity of the migraine the treatment and the drugs prescribed vary.
Mild Migraine: Patient having lesser than one attack per month of headache.

Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory  Drugs (NSAIDs)  such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen either alone or in combination with an antihistamine or sedative are found more responsive in some patients. Moderate Migraine: There are one or more attacks per month of more intense headache accompanied by nausea or vomiting or both. Stronger NSAIDs are more  beneficial with the combinations mentioned above in such cases. Antiemetics are needed to ward of gastric symptoms.  Triptans like Sumatriptan can also be used for patients who don’t respond to NSAID’s.
Severe Migraine : Patient has 2-3 attacks per month of severe headache with vomiting and other symptoms. Specific antimigraine drugs needs to be prescribed i.e. Triptan’s and Ergot Alkaloid’s accompanied with antiemetics. Along with these medicines a prophylactic regimen to prevent recurrence of attacks is also prescribed.
If a person is experiencing any of the symptoms of a migraine they should immediately consult a physician for the same. Self medication can be harmful and should not be done. According to your symptoms and the type of migraine you’re suffering from you will be prescribed a drug regimen. Migraine: symptoms, causes and treatments
We all might have heard this familiar medical condition called migraine. We could see our mamas, papas or family members and even you might have experienced migraines. What is Malaria ?
The meaning of malaria is bad air .it is a mosquito borne infection occurred widely in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia. There are four species of malarial parasites namely plasmodium falciparum , plasmodium vivax, plasmodium ovale and plasmodium malariae malaria is largely caused by plasmodium falciparum. Every plasmodium species are having different incubation period .For example plasmodium vivax is 14 days and plasmodium malariae is 28 days .person who is suffering from malarial disease results in growing of malarial parasites in the red blood cells and liver .
What are the ways by which malaria can transmit?
This disease can be transmitted when an infected mosquito bites a normal healthy person ,during this time the mosquito inject the sporozoites of plasmodium .
Sign and symptoms
Malaria is characterized by symptoms such as fever ,arthralgia ,shivering and vomiting and in sever cases the Symptoms such as splenomegaly ,severe headache ,cerebral ischemia, hepatomegaly ,hypoglycemia can be observed.
Diagnosis

In human body it is develops in to two phases one is pre erythrocytic and erythrocytic phase Pre-erythocytic phase include the liver infection and erythrocytic phase include red blood cells After mosquito bit sporozoites enter the blood vessels and migrate to liver .There it will infect the Hepatocytes cells and converted into merozoites,after infecting the liver cells they escape from the blood vessels .further merozoites infect the red blood cells where they develop into ring form trophozoites and schizonts and again the formation of merozoites ,this process is a type of asexual reproduction and this cycle continue for several times and induces fever and headaches.
