Jimin's Birthday minus 6 - 2017 Celebrations

In October 2017, BTS were in the middle of promoting Love Yourself: Her. In September and October they appeared on the main South Korean Music Shows with performances of DNA, Mic Drop and Go Go. They were breaking records with their DNA MV.

Jimin's birthday surprise was filmed on the evening of 12th October a few hours before his actual birthday. It was the beginning of the Serendipity era and the boys reference Jimin's solo song several times. Jin and Jungkook were again in charge of preparing the cake.

Jimin's dad continued his tradition of sending flowers and Hobi made sure Jimin thanked him on camera. JHope in this video is so attentive. I love their friendship.

Compared to 2016, Jimin is much less effusive but perhaps that isn't that surprising given their gruelling schedule and the fact that the next day, they were travelling to Japan to continue the Wings tour.

He did a Vlive on his birthday from his room in Japan. He thanked ARMY for their birthday displays. He talked about the huge venue they would perform at the next day. Venues were getting bigger and bigger and he wondered whether they would be able to reach the whole audience. Well the answer to that is a resounding yes.

Jimin published a Tweet thanking everyone for their birthday wishes.

And there were some interesting messages from the members. JHope posted a video which looks like it comes from the filming of the DNA MV.

V posted two photos. One of Jimin and one of himself in a park at night. Was Taehyung referencing 4 o'clock, a song reportedly written about Jimin and performed at Festa that year?

Finally, Jungkook posted the now iconic photo and message "#HBD Jiminie. It's not over yet" referencing the trip he had arranged for them to Tokyo later in the month.

I have not doubt that that trip and the resulting GCF video made for an unforgettable birthday for Jimin in 2017.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is my best guess - people say that Fight Like a Girl and other songs for the musical sound as though they have a lot of Andrew Lloyd Webber (specifically Phantom of the Opera) influences. Even when 4 o'Clock came out people said it sounded like Phantom.
