now that dsmp season 1 has ended, are you gonna keep watching season 2?

ah i'm pretty sure the other members have more plot/lore/episodes planned before the end of volume 1, it's only wilbur's character's finale that's done. so there's still a bit of content planned for volume 1.

and to be honest, i probably won't keep up with volume 2. at least not in the way that i did for volume 1. regardless of criticisms people have about wilbur's finale, i think the fact that it Exists and was Released gave me the final bit of closure i needed to put the dsmp's content officially behind me. my life looks completely different now than it did two years ago, so i simply don't have the time or intense interest anymore. and i genuinely find it more fun to engage with the fan community we've built and the people i've met along the way than to spend hours and hours watching streams. im just here vibing in the garden i helped grow.

hope that's not too disappointing. tho i'm pretty sure no one here is following me for my dsmp content anyways loll

The Blackwell Ghost 6 (2022)

A big left turn for the series, basically abandoning the teaser at the end of the previous movie for a more personal story. Which they did by killing the wife character and making it about her ghost. Unfortunately, she was such a minor character in the previous 5 movies that it's hard to really feel the sense of loss from her absence. There are still some references to the Lightfoot house, he even goes there several times, but very little connection to that story. There's also about ten times as much footage of his kids as there needs to be for the story and it ends up feeling like someone making you look at pictures of their children for an hour. Overall has the feeling of "I need to make another one... well, I got a free weekend." It's okay on it's own, but the worst in the series so far.

#i feel like im slowly destroying my relationship with my mental illness #and i want to die tbh #ive been waiting for therapy all my life #feb 2020 i very clearly stated i need help with trauma because i have nightmares and comically bad self image #i didnt get emdr i got 6 months of talk therapy when i explicitly asked for not that because it's never helped #it's june 2023 and ive to wait at lwast 6 more months for an intake #by then it's nearly 4 years of waiting for trauma therapy #meanwhile everything ive built up over the years is crumbling and i want to give up #i cannot do this anymore #feeling alright for a few weeks before collapsing for months again #everything is too hard

since the oscars started awarding the underdog (2016 - present), the winner of best picture at the critics choice awards only went on to win best picture at the oscars twice, 2018’s not quite underdog the shape of water and the pandemic year 2021’s nomadland. in neither year was there a real competition for best picture

#with my luck probably not #for the last two weeks I've been on a cycle of like #can't breathe right so I use the inhaler -> wait an hour and start to feel jittery -> cough a shitload -> #breathe okay for an hour or two with intermittent coughing -> lungs start fucking up again -> #try to deal with it as long as possible before using the inhaler again #it's interminable and I hate it #I hope I won't need to use this thing to breathe 4-6 times daily for the rest of my life because it's really unpleasant #and it's really scary to just be sitting down doing nothing in particular and suddenly be unable to catch my breath #it's been super hot out so I haven't really been trying to go out or do anything #but I'm not going to pretend that I'm not worried that I'll go for a walk and get stranded cuz I flew too close to the sun #and I've also read that supposedly there's better recovery rates for long covid if you take it easy early on #it's so scary #I'm so scared #and I feel so alone in all this #I don't want to die but it's hard living like this #and it's crushing that I've been living like an ascetic since march 2020 to keep my parents safe #and the one time I do something for my fucking self this happens #it's like the universe wants me to feel as hopeless and useless as possible #I got excited and signed up for another in person event in october #but I'm petrified this will just happen again #or like by the time it happens I might not be able to walk around and do shit #or I'll be fine but I'll bring it home #I don't want to die but this isn't living either #I just want to have some kind of a life I can be content with but it's always further and further away

#damn it #i stopped my meds for a week and it didn't change a thing #but i took them again just to see if that would make a difference and holy shit #i was thinking about pausing taking them for a while now because i wanted to have the side effects back #like when i first started taking them 2020 #and i never did because i thought I'd be miserable due to withdrawal and also it would take longer than a week to 'reset' my... #body? brain? idk. whatever. it actually makes a huge difference for me though #i hate how you have to get insulted by doctors in order to get these meds #I'd even pay for it myself fuck health insurance coverage #but noooo #can't have shit #sooooo #i gotta think about a way to continue to get them #it shouldn't be as hard as adhd meds to get it from my family doctor but I've been thinking it probably would be better #to not bring them up with her and instead suffer from my ps*chiatrist's insults for some more time #because so far there is no mention of mental illness in my file at my family doctor's office despite mentioning the ADs #if I'd get them prescribed there they would absolutely add depression and i do not want that #maybe my ps*chiatrist retires or dies soon then I'll never talk to one ever again but while she's there i may as well use her #as my drug supplier #(she's probably 52 but we've had two (2!) psychiatrists under the age of 50 die within the last 6 months in this tiny town #which has caused quite some issues because we have like 4 in total lmao #(so it wasn't a joke saying maybe she'll die soon. anyone could die anytime is the point. i think about people dying a lot and what would #change in my life then.
