Through the city

As always, I've been walking around, and wandering through the unknown-to-me parts of the city. Also, I got a box of compact cameras in various states of decay, but some of those cameras were quite nice to use. This is one of those few.

Taken with Olympus Shoot & Go R compact film camera and its built-in 34mm lens, on AgfaPhoto APX 400 black and white film. Developed in Adox Adonal, 1+50 dilution, at 21°C. Scanned with Plustek OpticFilm 8100 film scanner.

The camera, although built in 1996 is one of those basic models, with fixed everything - the lens has no zoom, the aperture is fixed, the focus is fixed, and it relies completely on the film latitude. The Internet isn't very helpful, either, there is conflicting information, one source says it does autofocus, but I haven't seen any evidence for that claim. :D

Fußgängerampel in der schweren Industrie-Ausführung. Heavy duty. Endlich mal ein Bild, das man auch im datengeschützten Europa ohne Angst vor Strafverfolgung veröffentlichen könnte. Keine Menschen, weder Schwarze noch Weiße. Alles gut.

Wieder auf das gute alte XTOL umgestiegen. HP5+ bei 400ASA, XTOL 1+2, 15,5 min bei 20°C. Nikon 50mm 1.8. Das einfachste und preiswerteste Marken-Objektiv, das man kaufen kann. Was der Bleistift in der Kunst, ist das 50mm 1.8 in der Photographie. Ganz nach meinem Geschmack.

Tage später: Nochmal etwas in mich gegangen und zu dem Schluß gekommen, daß ich für diese Aufnahme schon auf das 35mm f2 gewechselt hatte. Auch gut.

Walking, low-key exercising, around the same neighbourhood gets boring fast, so I take a walk through the adjacent neighbourhoods, and not all are in a nice shape, all the time! April 2023.

Taken with Canon AT-1 film camera, with Canon FD 50mm F1.8 S.C. lens with Tamron 1A filter, on short AgfaPhoto APX 400 film. Developed with Adox Adonal, 1+50 dilution, at 22.5°C. Scanned with Plustek OpticFilm 8100 film scanner, using VueScan x64 9.5.

PIC(S) INFO: Mega Spotlight on the mighty MOTÖRHEAD during their "No Sleep" period, putting on a light & heavy rock 'n' roll show at Newcastle City Hall, Newcastle, UK, on March 30, 1981. 📸: Dave Curry.

OVERVIEW: "Found out these pics I took was from a MOTÖRHEAD concert at Newcastle City Hall on 30th March 1981. The camera I used was a Pentax MX with a 80-200mm zoom Hoya lens. The pictures were from seat W31 so a fair distance away from the stage.

I used 400ASA film uprated to 1600ASA but even with the aperture wide open the shutter speeds were still around 1 second or so. I’ve just found some ticket stubs in the loft. I didn’t take any other photos from concerts. But from the MOTÖRHEAD gig I remember the place was loud and bouncing."
