happy bday @wepickedthisgame​ <3 this is a thank you for all the amazing content you bring us all here! as a gift here are some head canons for my ‘tis the damn season lewis/max fic for when they were in high school together!

Max gets to the football team and quickly becomes friends with one year older student Daniel. He starts to spend lunches with his crew which Lewis is part of

Max goes heart eyes right away but his only flirt is always complimenting Lewis’s style and hair. Meanwhile Lewis is amazed by the passion the younger boy plays football with even when Lewis himself doesn’t care that much about the sport

They are very obvious and Daniel bullies them all the time but somehow these two just blush and smile at each other but don’t make the move

Max is the one that finally makes the move though he is drunk. They are at Lando’s party and he and Lewis are outside together just enjoying the fresh air and Max kisses him and by kisses him I mean he tries to and misses his lips fully. It’s okay tho Lewis finds it cute and they end up together

Because they keep their relationship a secret from their families at the start, a lot of their dates are driving around and going to get food. Always mint milkshake for Lewis and strawberry for Max

There is a small window to Max’s basement that Lewis always comes through to spend nights with him. Max buys a guitar to be in his room so Lewis doesn’t have to bring his own one with him if inspiration strikes

Lewis’ parents are actually quite cool about Max, especially when the younger boy even attends church with them a few times. I mean Max is bored out of his mind and he thinks is the worst thing possible but he gets to listen to Lewis sing and how happy he looks so at least tries to enjoy it

Lewis always plays his songs to Max even when they are only half way done and lyrics are a mess. Max doesn’t ever know how to help but he sits, listens and compliments a lot
