OP RECOIL - Day 1-8
October, 633
The sailing on their civilian ship Docking Fee had gone smoothly. The ship had not been attacked by pirates and the weather had been reasonable for most of the six-day journey. Most of the time, she sat either on the mast crossbeams, or up on the bow, simply watching the seas ahead in silence. Her stomach rolled viciously from time to time; whether it could be attributed to seasickness or more simply, anxiety, she did not know. When it rolled too hard, she simply found a solitary spot to hide away in to hang over the railing until her body decided to right itself.
About midway through the voyage, she had sequestered herself into a small cabin at one to rummage privately in her rucksack. While she did not own much, outside of her computing equipment and work gear, there was something she had specifically sought in particular. Something she had not laid hands or eyes on in years. Her traditional forge wear, something she had not worn since the day she left Darnassus, shoved into the bottom of her ruck. Trembling fingers had smoothed out the material, traced over the older silvery filigree accents that had decorated the material. Colours she never wore. She had raised the material to her nose and inhaled deeply, taking in the faintest scents of her previous life that still clung to the material. Ash, molten metal, the lilies that had surrounded the temple garden, and under that the scent of Azerite munition and blood. Closing her eyes, she sank into the scents, feeling herself float into them. Her choice had been made days ago, but the thread hadn’t yet been cut.
It was time, her thoughts had whispered. Time to start to let go.
I.. have tried so very hard, to be better than I was then, came the unbidden whisper of thought. Words she had said in strict confidence to Marsulu. Words that had hurt so very badly to admit to, because of where they had originated from. The answer followed, words she continued to tell herself daily when it felt like she was slipping back under the waters. So be enough.
Painstakingly, she had cleaned the garments, until they were as soft and supple as the day she had received them. The leather was a dark, rich plum, teased with silvery accents, blade-markings dancing across the cropped tunic and through the hip-plates, which were joined by a strip of leather. A silver buckle in the shape of an umbral glaive belted them over her waist, denoting her former status. Master Glaivesmith of the Darnassian Sentinels. A title that had been one worn with pride, a lifetime ago. Now a title that would remain where it lay – in the past. Now, she was Osonia Moonspider. Master Pain in the Ass.
On the sixth day, a shout rolled over the ship. Land had been spotted. From her spot on the bow, she watched as it appeared on the horizon, simply a black line at first that broke up the monotony of the ocean ahead. It was followed by mountains that took on shape and then colour, a vibrant green so potent it stole the breath from her lungs. Home. The scent followed it, teasingly at first, the subtle aroma of moss, rain and something so deeply primordial it could not be named. It brought tears to eyes; tears that slowly trickled down her cheeks the longer she breathed in that heady scent.
‘You’re fine,’ her thoughts whispered quietly. ‘It’s just the scent of the forests.’
“I know,” she murmured in Darnassian, uncaring if anyone heard her.

Actor Ajith Kumar has won a total of four gold and two bronze medals so far in the ongoing 47th Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship in Tiruchi.
Ajith won gold medals in four team events including CFP Master Men Team Event, STD P Master Men Team Event and 50m FP Master Men Team Event.
The championship started on July 24 and will continue till Sunday.

No seriously. I need help completing paperwork to get a project authorized. MSG Langscale won't approve paperwork unless it's ✨ perfect ✨ . And paperwork fucking sucks. Send help i m m e d i a t e l y.

(There unironically happens to be an old Defias bunker about 10 miles south/southwest of our location. "Range".)
